richard henry: Being that we have been to Corndance may times this was a disappointment to say the least. To start with the Steak Fondue was not up to snuff as it has been in the past. We had to send it back because the croutons were a bit soggy. The steak was really tough and chewy. So we hoped to get it back in better shape as the steak was always amazing in this dish. We did get better croutons the second time around, but the steak was still over cooked or a bad cut of meat as it was tough and I could barley chew it also. The dinner bread that used to be given to you is now a charged appetizer. It was good so no big issue there. The biggest issue comes as my better half and I ordered Filets for dinner. We both received our plates and started to eat. Some times a sear on a Filet will make that part of the steak tough. This one was tough all the way though. I had to struggle to eat it. After sending back the Steak Fondue I was not going to send anything else back because it had already disrupted our timing on dinner. I ask to taste the steak from my girl and hers was just fine. Mine chewed like a tough sirloin that was overdone and tough. The service was always good at this location and this time it was very good also. After we sent the Steak Fondue back they treated us with the Dinner Bread for free and the second fondue was free also. But tough Steak is almost a deal breaker. That dinner for two was close to $300.00 with a tip. I can get much better steaks from a ton of places in town a lot cheaper. It is as if they started to use a really low quality beef for the appetizer and gave me a tough sirloin instead of the filet we ordered. Everything else was fine but, not a good dinner this time folks. That filet should have melted in my mouth, I was feeling a lot more like a shark would have spit it out than the joy of eating a delicious piece to tender meat.

William Berdine: I got a ribeye that was cooked perfectly. My Date got the chicken which she enjoyed. Bread appetizer was really good and the old fashioned chocolate cake in a can was the perfect way to end the night. Corndance Tavern is pretty pricey. Erika Gomora: Was there to celebrate my barber licensing and our server was the BEST SERVER EVER, she congratulated me and made me feel super special and like she was my friend, He got the aged steak and i had the chicken, they were both AMAZING!!!!Worth every penny and such a great night! Will deff be coming back soon!!!!
CJGH: Meh. I’ve been twice and tried to love it since there aren’t a lot of options around. Got dry aged steaks both times as it’s the only exceptional thing on the menu. Did not taste aged/all that great either time. To be fair their main dishes especially seafood options (special tonight was an awesome looking branzino) are on second thought maybe a better reason to come although I stuck to the steak hoping for a redemption from first time. Appetizer selection is awful, it’s like “Applebees with a twist” array from 2000. The twists all being something unappealing like fried alligator chunks which most people who know anything about food realize you don’t willingly serve or eat on purpose because it’s not good. All in all the place is not bad, it just was not a $200 dinner (two people) either time we went no matter how hard I tried to spin the experience to myself. Service was also very slow both times. We haven’t gotten a great server although I know they do have them on staff as I can hear them at other tables. Just not ours lol.

Patrick Ndombi: From the very beginning working with Jasmine who is the Director of Events was a delight. She clearly knows her stuff! She professionally guided me in the planning and food selection. Communication was awesome. She answered my every question quickly and politely. She was so easy to work with. The room was perfect for our group size. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff, Kelly and Sheneka, were top notch. They were friendly and professional. I got great feedback from our employees. Everyone had a great time. Thank you!!
Misty Cruz: I would call this place a beautiful disaster. Beautiful because of the atmosphere and our lovely waitress Patricia. Disaster for pretty much the rest of it. Starting with our reserved table not being open and them having to find us something else after climbing the stairs just to go back down. Our waitress was amazing and attentive from the start. My husbands drink came but mine was delayed for quite some time because the martini glasses were dirty. We ordered the crab cakes and I swear they looked more like sausage. They were overly salty and looked like frozen sadness. Our Caesar salad and bread was the highlight of our meal. We waited for two hours before our food came. Our waitress was so sweet kept checking on us and apologizing even though it wasn't her fault. She explained there were so many events the kitchen couldn't keep up. After 2 hours the food was cold and hardly any flavor. So very disappointing. No one seemed to know which way to go just seemed very unorganized for such an esteemed venue. We stayed mainly so our waitress would receive her tip for working so hard for us. She was a true gem!
Cindy Pyle: We had amazing service wonderful food Great wineA perfect dining experienceFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Deana Sutherland: We went because it was restaurant week. The food was OK but our server was awesome. Charity has an awesome personality and was the highlight of our visit. My husband likes to tease the servers and she gave it right back to him. She kept our table laughing. We wish she served at places we frequent more often.
Tricia Aerial Tran: Spinach and artichoke dip was lukewarm. Had good flavor though, and loved how chunky it was! French onion soup tasted like it was beef bouillon with water added. Not much flavor, but it wanted to be there. Shrimp skewers were pretty good! Sauce was a hit. The crab cakes were decent, nothing to rave about. Got some rolls given to us because we have been waiting so long for our entrees. The butter could have used a little bit more salt but the rolls were soft and delicious! Finally got our dinner, 2 hours later. The rice…awful. Prime rib didn’t even taste like prime rib. Filet was burnt on the outside, raw on the inside, and wasn’t even close to cooked to temp. Mashed potatoes wee dry, and under mashed. The veggie sides were undeseasoned and seemed like they came out of a freezer bag. I personally had the scallops. They were dry, under seasoned, and I was just plain disappointed.
Wesley Hedden: The server was pleasant and the building is beautiful, but the food was decidedly not good. We ordered the house specialities (prime rib and local duck), and they were both very disappointing. Everything was served just a bit warmer than room temperature and had a distinct limpness to it. Even the chicken tenders and fries from kids menu were difficult to eat. The crab cakes, soup, and salad were a step above the mains but still just mediocre. The crème brûlée by contrast was pretty good. In terms of atmosphere, the restaurant could go with more even lighting (some tables are so dark it’s difficult to read the menu) and some kind of ambient background music (it was silent for the first hour we were here and we could hear everything happening in the restaurant). I genuinely wanted to like this place and am having a hard time squaring my experience with some of the earlier positive reviews on here. The sprawling building is really impressive, so if you do come be sure to wander around at some point.

Sonia Cruz: We were traveling and found tge restaurant on their website. Loved the pictures & decided to try it out. We had a great experience. It was busy when we got there, but waitress happily agreed to take our table even though she was quite busy. Service was pleasant, very attentive & gave great suggestions of foods to order. Our meals were cooked to order, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. We loved exploring the building & learning the history of the mansion. I highly recommend eating here.
Kelley Davies: Came here for a work Christmas dinner. The wait staff were amazing! The prime rib dinner was delicious and the cheesecake was absolutely delightful! Atmosphere is an old historic mansion you could spend hours walking around looking! Loved our dinner and experience here!
marcia hauser: The waitress with the VERY messy hair, (absolutely unprofessional for this type of restaurant) said the duck would be crispy - it wasn't and it was so tough, I couldn't cut it with the knife provided. Ho Ping has much better duck. Also, the slimy squash was not edible...must have a new chef as this was not my previous experience.

Cafe Navarre: what do users think?
Kristin Barnes: I love discovering unique restaurants while I travel and this was a great find! You could easily walk in this place dressed up for a nice night out, or jeans and tennis shoes. My server Danielle was so kind and very attentive. They have some great options for my pescatarian diet. I started with the light and refreshing Nuevo cocktail made with gin. I was excited to see Wild Mushroom soup on the menu. It was perfectly creamy and a great combo with the crusty bread. I opted for the Black Truffle Gnocchi with lobster for dinner, absolutely delicious! I was so full, but couldn’t resist taking home the Key Lime Tart! I will definitely be back when I’m in town again!

Eric Ball: For appetizers, we had French onion soup and ceaser salad. Ceaser salad was not good. I had to ask for dressing. For dinner, we had the Filet and Bolognese it was average, and for desert, we had the flour less chocolate cake, which again was average. I am giving a 4 because the quality of the food did not live up to the priceFood: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Raimie Wheeler: The food is so good it's almost magical. The butter served with the rolls is fresh and creamy. I see why everyone raves about the wild mushroom soup. Creme Brule dessert is light and creamy with a nice crunchy top.Everyone's food was cooked to perfection and the wait staff are very attentive to the needs of the table. This was a rare treat for my family and we thoroughly enjoyed.
R.a. Wheeler: Absolutely delish but you had better bring your wallet. This is not a cheap place but in exchange your getting top notch food and service. The only downside besides the obvious that it's also not kid friendly unless your kids have an equally exquisite tastes. On the other hand if they do they will not be disappointed. We ate very good and again I would give praise for the service as it was also amazing.Kid-friendliness: Again it's not geared towards children.Parking: I had a pass no thanks to working for the Doubletree across the road otherwise parking would have been further away. But this is also typical of downtown.
Nikki Horvath: It was mine and my husband's first time here and I've got to say it was great. I was slightly nervous because we usually don't do fine dining. A lot has to do with our "look ". That being said, the whole staff was very courteous and welcoming! The food was amazing and the whole staff checked on us periodically and never made us feel unwelcome. 10/10 would go back.
Rebekah Kincaid: Visited last night for DTSB Restaurant Week. What a beautiful building! Impeccable service and amazing selections. The crème brûlée was my favorite!Recommended dishes Wild Mushroom Soup, Creme Brûlée, Bread Basket …More
