Jodi Yager: My friend has been to this soup kitchen many times and suggested we go for lunch today. I cannot believe how wonderful the soup salad, bread, jello w/ fruit, bagged bagels, dessert AND this group of volunteers were full of smiles, friendliness and a welcoming nature. They were kind and brought two meals to go that were packaged better than a upscale restaurant would have done.What a wonderful service to provide for our community. I will definitely be stopping by again soon.Thank you, again First United Methodist Church and thank you to all the volunteers.

Terri Keirnan: Evangel Heights is a congregation of prayer and prays for anyone in need of prayer.There is a welcoming and warm atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. You are brought closer to God through his son Jesus Christ. The music is uplifting and a big part of the service. The pastor loves her congregation and makes everyone welcome.

I remember the rummage sales, fish fries (the best fish I ever had) and Sunday school. My mom and I volunteered there. Some of you may know the Ballinger name. Jeff George: My grandmother was an active member of this church for well over 50 years. I am her grandson and I'm in a tough situation right now. I was on my way home to Southern Ohio. I am 70 years old with serious health issues. I talked to a gentleman who answered the phone he said the pastor was not available until the end of the week and he was busy with renovation. I ran out of money because of a couple of bad falls one cutting open my scalp. I am now in South Bend trying to get this old man back to Athens ohio where I live with my daughter. All I was trying to do was to find a church to get me a ticket back home.l could repay the church in a couple of weeks. Anyway says he had no time to help right now maybe the secretary could in the next couple of days. It was hard to even ask for me.I have never asked before but I have no place to go tonight and no money. I hope the renovation on the church reminds each of you that as a church helping in the community should be a priority not an after thought My grandmother Esther MCKILLIP WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY UPSET OVER HER CHURCH HAVING THAT HIND OF ATTITUDE. Anyway hope you can forgive my frustration oh well thanks church

She extended.an invitation to , and I accepted. Thank you Lord for Jane and her entire church. It is a good service they provide each second Saturday of the month. Thank you all.
