The Salvation Army Kroc Center, South Bend: what do users think?
Amy FREESE: We went to go to the pool. Some of the staff were great. Other staff were rude and not helpful at all. First time there. Not sure we will go back.
Elizabeth Hochschild: Kid friendly, lots of classes, affordable. Love this place.
David Dirst: A family friendly atmosphere with modern equipment and friendly staff.
John Palmer: Beautiful facility with helpful and pleasant staff.
Rick Biancardi: They need your help
Lynne Barnaby: Great facility, excellent programs!
Tyree Kirkland: Have the exercise classes that fit my needs.
Mari Roomer: This is a decent place to work out swim. staff is awesome . Only issue is weight room floor hasn’t been swept or mopped in a month! Very nasty! I’ve told several workers about it. They f do not seem to care. Not sanitzed very good at all. The bald guy sits all day and does nothing. Who’s the manager of the fitness area? He or she doesn’t do anything to help sanitize and keep this area safe from illness
vanacel lehenbauer: Great place to take kids to swim
Kortney M: I have had a membership at the Kroc since they first built the building. I never once regretted it. It's a part of the family routine as well as my own personal routine. There's a water park area, a climbing wall, arts programs, music programs, theater, after school and homeschool programs. It's truly a community center which is exactly what South Bend needed. They offer scholarships for families who qualify. They also offer free daycare with your membership while you're at the Kroc. If you are not a member you can buy a pass for $15 to try it out.
paulin hakizimana: Only Facts (for the price you pay):Cons:1. Limited hours. (Especially weekends, and winter hours)2. Limited Availability of the Gymnasium. (in wintertime, the basketball courts are fully booked for activities. When you ask, they tell you, they are a "community" center...therefore... (in my words) paying members don't mean jack when someone comes and pay a premium buck to reserve the court all day.3. their child-care (kids' zone has its issues)Pros:workout machines are plenty and in a good shape, pool is clean, and their locker room have been fixed.
Kristyna Wickline: Had an awesome night with the Embrace Woman's group! They also have great swim and dance classes for the kids! My kids also loved the Tball/baseball teams.
Jas B.: Very nice and family friendly place!
Karen Haun: Love the workout classes. Employees are friendly & helpful.
Carol Leedy: Quality well maintained equipment. Clean environment. Good membership prices!
Danis Corcho Ruiz: Un hermoso lugar para disfrutar en familia, Excelente atención y muy variado sus servicios.
Gregg Schimmel: 1000% better than the YMCA was
Nicholas Hart: So much fun! And so much to do. It is a little exspensive but was worth the experiance
Alison Mynsberge: They no longer provide towels. They have very limited hours. Attendance seems to be way down and day passes are very expensive. The locker room situation isn’t family-friendly or accommodating for both members and camp participants simultaneously. But having returned after COVID, I was finally able to get a treadmill, and after asking they finally turned the slide on hours after it was supposed to be, which meant my son & nephew had an hour of pure joy as they went up those stairs over and over again as the pool was empty of any other slide users (while I drove home to get towels).
Marc Johnson: Excellent place for recreation, health and fitness, and spiritual worship of God. I highly recommend going there... you won't be disappointed!
Marilyn Imus: Nice, safe location with friendly people to help you. Dropped off some toys for toddlers. Would like to go back to see what services are available and if I might be interested in volunteering.

Dunes Volleyball Club: what do users think?
The Deek: Was there 2-3 hours and had at least 3-4 huge pieces of lint or whatever fall in me from the heating vents. Kind of gross. Plus it was affecting sinuses pretty bad as well. Once we could finally move away from the vents it was better.
Timothy Jordan: Like any other club or sports outfit, there are great experiences and there are terrible experiences and everything in between. Let me tell you about both.My oldest daughter started playing at Dunes 3 years ago and it was an amazing experience and she fell in love with the sport, all credit is due to Coach Sean Shaia. His love for the game, drive and coaching ethics lit a fire and passion in a young girls heart and inspired her to become the best she could be.Fast forward 3 years to 2022 and I now have 3 girls playing. You would think DUNES must be an amazing club for me to keep coming back and having more of my girls play. Well here comes the other aide of the spectrum…Rick Ashmore…owner and Club Director. Relies on “team parents” to manage the finances of his travel teams. There is no accounting and he looses track of payment information and can’t tell you how much you owe. He will however hound your 12 and 15 year old girls asking when they are going to pay. My kids have no obligation to pay that is my job so he should not be talking to them about money. He will also come up to you as a parent during an out of town tournament and yell and scream saying “ pay now or she’s not playing” and then go over to the coach and attempt to have your kid taken out of the game. He will not talk directly to you as a person but will yell and walk away. He will not provide you with how much you owe. But will continue to tell you to pay. If you over pay it takes until next season to get a credit (happened last year.)The facility it’s self is nothing to write home about. It’s an over sized pole barnThe parking is crampedHe offers no concessions besides chips candy and bottled drinks. There is minimal seating so you have to bring your own.The bathrooms are never clean, inch of dust and pubic hair in urinals all the time.If you play in “dunes” tournaments you will pay to play in them and you will have a 99% chance of playing dunes teams. At the end of the day the experience is mediocre at best. He has some great coaches, but he also has some duds. The faculty is not great and Rick is very difficult person to deal with .There are many other clubs around and may be worth looking into. Just depends on where you are locatedNiva- ElkhartNetwork mishawakaKrush - NilesKealoha - ValpoIgnite - Crown pointEpic United - HammondTo name a few, we will be exploring our options for next club season.
Linda Czajkowski: My daughter has been playing Volleyball at the Dunes for 2 years and is on one of their semi national travel teams. We really like the program, pricing and training. She is having a GREAT time with her new Volleyball Friends and Great Coaches!I definitely recommend the Dunes!
Pam Brant: The opportunities vary for kids to participate in time and cost with many ways to pay from payment plans to fundraising reducing out of pocket expenses to parents. A great healthy and physical alternative to the electronic babysitter for ages 8 to 18. They offer clinics, camps, leagues, to one-on-one training sessions. Clean facility with a large clean restroom enabling players and spectators easier access and back to the courts return. With a snack bar of healthy choices as well as energy pick me ups to a pro shop providing everything a player needs or forgets for their practice time and tournament performances, this place has you covered. They have also blacktopped their main parking lot and have established a second evenly graveled parking lot behind the 2 sand courts providing a large parking area without having to cross the street. A very nice addition, and greatly appreciated by regular visitors/participants. Ranging from college players to experienced adults, the coaching staff offers a great way to introduce anyone to the sport, and encourages training thru to the possibility of college scholarships. The expense is minimal and encourages parent involvement to help reduce the costs passed on to the players. Over 50,000 square feet of courts floored with sports court tiles a technology that incorporates a shock absorbing design while providing a little extra umph to your jump, it is   durable enough to withstand the test of time and use. They also have 2 basketball courts that can be reserved upon request.
Melissa Meersman: We attended for the Irish classic on Sunday December 19.For as nice of a facility I would think they could provide seating.Bleachers hardly allowed for anyone to sit. Then over for awards there was no seating !There were wood benches laying under the bleachers ,And seeing we had our 85 year old mom that needed to sitMy husband along with others carried these out to sit.No one was miss using them just some parents sitting waiting. Then a man that could use a lesson in how to treat humans,Started yelling “put them back put them back!”We didn’t understand not one person was doing anythingWrong. This man was grouchy, mean and should not be allowed to work around children .Well I had to sit on the floor even though I had knee surgeryFour weeks ago and could not stand longer . We scroungedUp a chair for my mom.Get it together!!
Leann Montes: Very crowded during tournaments
Michael Jon: Came from out of state for a tournament. Charged $11 per person- which is insanely high for what they offered- which was nothing. They put up the bleachers so there was no place to sit but at the same time had wooden jump boxes everyone was trying to sit on. There’s absolutely no reason they couldn’t have put out the bleachers. If they are afraid of covid, spray them with Lysol. Bathrooms had no hand towels, concessions were a joke. Parking was very tight. Overall a low end place for a tournament
Omar Vazquez: Clean place, matches on schedule and good competition . Easy afternoon to watch and play indoor volleyball.
Donald Campbell: Parking a little crowded and courts too close to each other. Facilities are good but restrooms extremely dirty. Playing courts were very well maintained.
Chloe Link: Love it! So fun and totally recommend! Wide range for all kids and teens! Brilliant experience!
Nicole Janas: Dunes has a fantastic volleyball club! Great place to play!
John Moock: Well organized facilities
Rwings73: My girlfriend plays here. She loves it so I have too also.
Tony Settele: Clean. Large and Spacious.
Kassie Becker: I really like the dunes volleyball club because it shows how much the people there care for kids and volleyball. Like my coach Coach Briggs she would push us to the limits and now I am a great volleyball player because of her. She will always be in my heart.
Todd Derby: Parking lot is in really rough shape, overall its an oversized pole barn that is dirty and not well kept up. Middle of farm fields, pack food and bring a chair..limited bleacher seating.
Laurie W: Great place sorely needed. Moving to Laporte in March but we will still be able to have our home games there so all is well!
Gerard Ellis: 11-5-16, great venue for indoor volleyball.

Walmart Supercenter: what do users think?
Pat Mistak: Going out of business and very little left.
Brandon Moore: Closed doors 12 minutes early on a Sunday that they are nly open util 7 pm
James Kauzlarich: Store will close permanently on April 28th according to employees.Until then current hours for the store are 7AM - 7PM. Confirmed by shopping there two days ago.Pharmacy hours are: Closed.Find another pharmacy.Good news: Everything (but clearance items) is 25% off!Bad news: You missed it already. 95% of the store is empty, including grocery, and I suppose that they are simply waiting for the last few deliveries they couldn't stop. Sure, go there and see if you can get a deal on stuff you want or need. But you won't be able to make it a complete shopping trip. And don't drive a long way to get here. You'll waste your gas.
Bette Conroy: They were closing their store.
Penny Starnes: Closing
Troy Austin: Busy but nice and friendly
Michael Haas: Workers where so professional in the electrical section definitely the best Walmart I’ve ever been!
Tina Love: With the other location in SBI going out of business, I was hoping for more than two lanes (one 15 or less) to be open. Self checkout isn't the best option for elderly people with full shopping carts. When the lines are longer than 5 customers, at 11:00 a.m., during spring break, heading into Easter.... Please fix it Walmart.
Laken Rhodes: Nobody cares about this location any more. It's closing in April. Every Tuesday they are marking items less and less. I only went there to do some extra curricular shopping. Nothing I absolutely needed, just wanted. Get stuff while you still can. And even if it doesn't work out, you can always return at another location. So shop on, buy em out, and get your money's worth!
Chad Good: This location is closing it's doors permanently in April. Everything is 25% off but I did notice they raised the price on certain things. It's a shame the local community took to blatantly walking out in groups with shopping carts full causing this closing. So much for convenience.
Donna Davis: Store having a closing sale. Closing April 21st.. some Associates still friendly..
Robert Basker: This store is closing its doors.
Bertrand Hochwald: Kinda beat up - this is a store that will be closing for good in late April, 2023. Roughly four weeks from now.
Robert Shemberger: Walmart has every thing!!
Daniel Lambert: It’s a Walmart
Robert Cox: Great store and employees
Tosh Point Oh: This poor store didn't stand a chance with it's location. The entire Northside is barely surviving! The vibe all together is just bad! Stagnant, and bad! Martin's on portage road couldn't survive either! Even as portage meats it didn't survive! The majority is all due to theft! Welcome to the Northside aka Little Chi-Raq. Do better!!! 😔
Greg Bergen: Ever since they learned they are closing all rules have gone out the window. Company policy does not apply tho this store anymore. Everyone else was very rude, even the manager when I spoke with them about the problem I was having. Said to the door greeter that it was the worst customer service I had experienced at Walmart and he laughed and said that's why we are closing.
Fix It-Felix Jr.: So sad to see this store shutting down soon. Hate to see it go.
Vincent S.: They always have everything I need. Period
Tracy Mcdaniel: This is the Walmart on Portage, never any help, all employees are Rude, never Any Lanes open it's horrible I only go here I'd necessary. Yup yall closing down all them terrible employees with them nasty attitudes!

Walmart Supercenter: what do users think?
Ruben O Hernandez: It is So Cool!
Golden DomeCab: Easy in and out locationShared with other stores that are usefulHome n garden, buying a ride, plenty of restaurants
Ted Neal: No waiting in line and courteous staff!
Joshua Campbell: Southbend store is not a place I will return to. Bad experience.
Harold Dowls: Well put together store. Shelves are stocked, attendants are knowledgeable and the checkout is average.
Troy Austin: Busy
James T: This location is conveniently located right next to a Lowe's! All the signs say no tractor trailer parking but they will let you park if you're just there to go shopping. I parked on the side of Lowe's facing Aspen Dental Clinic and BW3!It is easy in and easy out with an 18-wheeler, 👍👍👍 also directly to the right is Texas Roadhouse. Plenty of food places here. If your cell service is through T-Mobile and Verizon their stores are right next to each other.Menards is behind Texas Roadhouse about a hundred yards behind.
C Donald: Getting better with the check out.
Mark Hohulin: This Walmart has implemented mostly self checkouts. They are not laid out as well as the Mishawaka Meijer 331 store. However the prices at this Walmart seen to be lower than I expected with the inflation that we have experienced in the past year.
Stacy Smith: Very good store customer service one of the better o
Beth Fuller: Out of Food almost
Chris McMichael: They have almost everything you need.
Richard Zawacki: Not a good time to go in the evening
Darcel Birton: I Love The Walmart Super Center!! Prices reasonable great fruit meats and veggies. Oh my goodness I get lost going down almost every isle😂until when my sciatica starts acting up!
Tony Whalen: Wally world
Carolyn Rozmarynowski: The shelves are generally well stocked and the staff is friendly. Walmart's produce is consistently fresh and affordably priced. The everything bread from the bakery is great, and so has a lot of toppings (unlike a couple of other nearby grocery stores).Very few checkouts that are not self-checkout, but that seems to be becoming the normal with other stores as well, so not a big surprise. The parking lot has some very large potholes, but there are plenty of cart corrals and the lot is well marked.
Dale Wooten: Only thing Is they were on Last Day & Everything Was Gone !Hope U all don't Close
Ella Duke: Too many ppl,NO Lanes open 😡
Jas B.: Very rude workers... won't ever catch me here shopping!
michael raines: Okay, I know what you're thinking. 5 stars? Well, I can honestly say that I am not necessarily rating this on it just being Walmart, but being one of the most friendly, helpful, and usefully STAFFED Walmarts I had ever been to. Especially in this area. There are two others, one being the absolute worst I've ever been to, especially in the customer service department. (They deserve half a star at best) So, if you're looking for a clean, friendly, helpful Walmart.. this is the place for you!
Michael diaz: Sometimes the app says they have an item but are out of it
