Greg Lutz: I went to Johnson's Workbench for the first time today, and was extremely happy with my experience. Their selection of wood is quite good and the staff was excellent. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful, and sincerely wanted to make sure I had a good experience and found what I was looking for. I am looking forward to when I have to go back for more supplies.
Bobby Schafer: My Father has been shopping at Johnson's for years and I finally stopped in recently to get some framing supplies. They had everything I needed from General Finishes Gel Stain to an extensive selection of Freud router bits, an endless pile of good quality wood. Exceptional customer service —they are hardworking rare good people you never find nowadays. When I left I was wiser to so much knowledge of hardwoods, stains and finishes, and all kinds of general woodworking. Great store all around and the warehouse is always worth checking out. Brian Arterbery: Have been buying hardwood from Johnson's for a long time. I've ordered hundreds of board feet of lumber from them over the years. Lumber is always top quality. Great service. I utilize their delivery service as I don't have a vehicle to transport long pieces (8' to 10' long).Panels are always on my list as I don't have room in my shop to do large qlue-ups.Photos are 120 BF of red oak and some red oak panels that I had delivered.
Andrea Briggs: Best place to get lumber and exotic hardwoods hands down... in the country! Ebony... lacewood and other things you just don't see/can't find anywhere else. Tons of tools and machines on display in the showroom. Super friendly, customer-oriented staff. George helped me out a lot. Awesome place!

Tai Gunter: I've been shopping here for a few years for my woodworking needs. This is a fantastic shop that has great capacity to serve any woodworker from the novice to advanced.They have a good selection of wood inside their main space, which is already dimensioned and planed down to a certain thickness. This is great if you don't have the tools to mill the lumber or if you need a small piece of an exotic wood to use as an accent.Their back space is a huge selection of rough wood - great if you have a planer and jointer and can mill the lumber yourself. If you can't mill the lumber yourself, they will do it for you - I've had this service done and they do a great job. It is my preferred method of buying wood since they do it for such a low price that it's worth the cost to have them do it. They also have great plywoods back here for cabinetry and other panel work.They have a good selection of tools as well and sell all the major brands. Of course they'll order anything they don't have. The only thing I'd say is lacking here is hardware like hinges, drawer slides, etc., but this is admittedly hard to keep in stock since there are thousands of different options and combinations.The new management here is doing a fantastic job of making people feel welcome and comfortable entering the hobby. Anthony is a great addition to their staff.

Joseph Beachey: A wonderful small operation. The owner is kind and helpful. Purchased wood rounds for an wedding and had options of multiple kinds of wood, with one price no matter what kind of wood. Lots of unique options and I was able to find some really beautiful grains in the slices I purchased. You just have to look around and see what unique pieces you can find. When I was interested in a few boards, he offered me a great price. Definitely worth a stop.
hasan zakeri: I was surprised to find a sawmill in the middle of the city! The owner is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and carries a wide selection of species of hardwood (and softwood) in various sizes. Will definitely go there again.

The staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to provide their help and advice. The location is convenient and they even allow private parties and schedule kids classes too!
