A Hughes: We contacted them to relocate a lift from a house in the Mishawaka section of the river to the Elkhart section, other side of a dam, in the last week or so of June. They were not able to in the very near future, they gave me a contact for another company that ended up being able to do it. (They did reach back out to us about a week late that they had an opening, we had already scheduled with the other company). Being new to boats and lifts, didn't know there was a difference in the way they operated etc. The trailer for the lift that was brought was not the correct style, which was my fault for not specifying the type of lift it was. Steve lent them a trailer to transport it that day verses them having to drop it on land and then get it onto a trailer another day, haul the barge back down, and get different truck to pull the trailer. We truly appreciate everything!

Tom Henry: 1 I bought Wyland's Bennington pontoon sales people were good to me us. Since then there's been some issues. Bimini cover zipper broke after an argument and a review sent to Bennington corporate it was covered. Now an hour and a half a way from Mishawaka told them I wanted to order a pier after some discussion I asked if they could deliver it. Oh boy when they found out I was in Allegan MI they said they ohs was to check delivery price if we were an hour and a half away never got back to me. Now I have a fuel gauge that is bad diagnosed by locals not Bennington authority so I'm sure I'll have to buy this gauge too. Bennington boat is good Wyland's marina is no help passed sales.

matthew lentsch: I bought in may,10 days later,had trouble,they came and got it.I paid 31,000.iT WAS NEVER right.Took it back.TIM GAVE ME 21,000. IT had gas leak recall. STAY AWAY! GAS was in drainage water.Asked TIM if he would store it over winter? He said 700.After all the trouble i had.Deal with TIM!!!!

Kristal Hechavarria: We purchased a pontoon from Wylands. We should have walked out when we heard an elderly woman begging for her boat cover that she stated they had promised last winter (2019). Part of our deal was to also get a boat cover with the boat. It's been 3 months and we have yet to get our cover which usually costs 400$. They have told us its being "custom made" after they told us they had it. Also, we had inspected our boat and upon placing it in the water found two forklift holes(that were not there 2 days before finalizing our purchase) on the insides of the boat. They did not want to assist us in fixing it and we had to outsource fixing the holes ourselves because the Pontoon was sinking. Total headache dealing with this establishment.

The part price was under $4 and they probably don’t make much on the part, but the salesperson was incredibly helpful and shipped the part in an envelope for next to nothing. Until they eventually let it go to voice mail after several attempts to call and being rudely hung up on. If you dont have the courtesy to say "im busy please hold" Then im definitely spending my hard earned money with the competition. Happy boating!Edit: In response to the business's reply. Perhaps consider something more reliable like a landline? It's a business after all and as exampled unreliable communication will result in business loss.

Chris Hurley: Went in to get a fuel pump gasket kit for a mercury 120xr sport jet motor. Went to give them the part number, and was told very rudely that without my motors serial number, they wouldn’t help me, told me just to go buy it online. I will never walk thru their door again! Worst service ever

M Johnson: Wish I could give it more but...They have no way to get your boat of storage until people get their boat first because they get parked in.I called a few weeks ago and said I was ready to pick-up when they were. They said it would be about a week, that’s fair. When I called today they simply said I can’t get my boat until other people come to get theirs. They are also not able to provide any sort of timeframe saying when they will be able to get to it.They seem very nonchalant about the whole thing which is the frustrating part.Meanwhile it’s 72 and sunny outside.

Problem with that is there is a swamp back there that has flooded before. My grandma has lived here for years I have seen it. For all of you and for your boats be careful they could potentially get damaged from sinking into the ground or getting water damage. This is your warning. I hope everyone has a great day and choose wisely when it comes to storing your boats.

pj21mm393 Jameson: Recently retired, purchased an old Aluminum SeaNymph and spent June getting it ready. Was a bit shocked when it came time to look at motors, they just weren't to be found (thank you covid). Finally found two at Starboard Choice Marine. Spoke with Andy over the phone, he had two new Suzuki motors, a 9.9 horse and a 15 horse. I drove 3 hours to pick up the 9.9 horse. I was an hour and a half late, due to a catastrophic lighting failure on my newly wired trailer. The staff at Starboard Choice took it in stride, installed my new motor and let me test different propellers, even rode in the boat with me, to see how it handled the extra weight. Andy took time to patiently explain the break in period of the motor and all its features. Love my little Suzuki, super quiet and very responsive. I felt the customer service and willingness to help was top notch. Worth the 6 hour round trip drive. 5 Stars! - Patrick

Joseph Ryan: I was happy with the service because they were friendly and helpful. I spent almost 400 dollars in one day for a first time buyer. I really hoped to come back and buy a new motor and trolling motor and have them attach both professionally. However, it turns out that they do not educate themselves on the products they sell and ended up selling me the wrong size rope and anchors. Their return policy seems straight forward but with verbal arguments they do not honor the return policy when I tried to return within 4 days. The management will not make decisions and elevated to the owner and this results in delay of customer service. I am just a novice and went to a marina, instead of the big box stores, because I expect knowledgeable customer service. This was a mistake they admitted to making but do not want to give the proper restitution. I am now waiting for the owner to call me back. I am hoping for the best. I do not want to spend more money just for a small claim in the courts. What would you do?
