Tamsin Holland: Just switched to their mobile. Their phones are grossly over priced. They were selling my phone for $349.99 everyone else had it for $171. It took me 6-7 days for number to port over, error was on their side not my old service. Haven't been able to use my phone for a whole week yet. They decreased the phone price from $349.99 to $252. Asked since I haven't even had my phone for a week if I could have the now price. They said no but I could exchange it but I would have to pay a restocking fee which wouldn't save me any money after I pay the restocking fee. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR PHONE SERVICE. Go somewhere else for your phone.

Nikki West: We have had spectrum for at least 6 years. Something happened with our cable line and we were without internet and our streaming tv service for 4 days Friday-Monday. They couldn’t send a tech out until Monday afternoon and said we would be compensated on our bill. Got the bill- no credit was applied- we had called spectrum to discuss it and they were only going to credit us $7.25- which we said was completely unacceptable. They managed to bump it up to $10 but considering the inconvenience of being without tv or internet for 4 days- I feel like the compensation could have been more reasonable for long time customers.

Dan Oates: I had Wowway internet for 20+ years with only an occasional outage. I changed when Asound bought them because of terrible transition. My experience with Spectrum has been a nighmare. I have outages all the time, cable is laying on the ground in the easement and my installation to my house was amateur at best. I am getting notices about system failures and technician wants to send me a new modem. I have spend 3+ hours today trying to get something done and I have gotten no where. Has anyone else had more success trying to get things fixed? If i could give them a no star rating, that is what they deserve.

After a month they decided maybe we should send a tech out to look at it. I asked when could they come. I was told at least 3 weeks at the earliest. I canceled and got a different service and its just as bad. I don't know what to do. I don't even live in a rural area.
Roger Lalik: The new higher speed service is good... That is when it's working. The trend I'm seeing in my area of Kentucky (Henderson, connecting to South Tower) is usually every Saturday it seems connectivity drops for a few hours. At the moment, I (and others) have not had internet service for 5 straight days with no fix in sight. That's what I said, 5 days.The worst of this is Watch Communications won't talk to me, the customer. I call nearly every day looking for a status update. Either the techs aren't being updated by management or they've been told to say nothing because it's the same thing every call I make (which always involves a very long wait time) it's being worked on.Why can't they give honest feedback? Why do they need to lie, through omission? I'm a retired IT Professional. Companies that treat their customer base like this soon discover they no longer have a customer base. Word to the wise. Mom Momert: Watch Communications sucks big time. I've been trying to get my internet moved from old address to new address since June 6, 2022 and not getting any satisfaction for any of my calls. Looking for someone new.
Amber Pride: If zero stars was an option I would have given that. We have been without internet for 40 days and when I call, I have been given a different answer every time. No resolution dates given but they still want their money. If I had any other internet option I would drop them in a second.
Sabrina Deeg: They took over our Fiber internet provide. Never had a problem when we had the original provider. Ever since they took over have had it down 4 times. Everytime I have had to call to ask about it no one seems to know what I am talking about because they are mostly wireless or Satalite provider. They have to send out a tech guy to come fix it which they have said it will take a week at most to come check it out other times they have had to call back giving again a day or two call back. I have auto pay and think this is unexceptionable service. Someone should know what is wrong, when someone can come help, and a easy way to report and find out if others in your area are effected. I can't get internet with anyone else I'm in a rural area.

Jonathan Ellis Sr.: Had wow! Before RCN took over. They had to honor my subscription bill I was paying. They canceled my service without my authorization then wanted to offer me a slower speed for $30 more then what I was paying. After a hour phone call I wasn’t dealing with it anymore, switched to spectrum never looked back plus it was cheaper then their prices.
Bob Vieceli: Internet service is terrible. We lose service about twice a week, mostly in the 5 - 7PM time frame however it has occurred during the day also. Usually for about 5 minutes, and then modem reboots. They have been out 3x and its gotten better but still happens just not as often. We are moving in less than a month, thank God! We are so done with this Company.

Cynthia Barbosa Hardy: I closed my WOW account one year and a half ago due to not having cable or Internet for over a week. I called WOW ‘transferred to the Astound company and told them I was going with another company. I was sent a email to send back modems equipment through FedEx. They sent me an email and I went to FedEx printed the label and sent them their modems. I haven’t heard anything from them in the last year and a half until today I received a notice on my credit that I have derogatory information. Now that I have called the debt collector and Astound I am being told to wait for a response from Astound. Astound is asking me to wait for a reply from them , no eta, when they have never responded in the last year and a half about anything. Certainly I need additional assistance. Why was I never contacted about modem issues or fees in the last year and a half? Is this what is happening to other former Wow subscribers?
la Jones: Had a tech come out and update our service from the old wow devices to the astound devices, they added a new line and gave us new devices and took our internet extenders and old wow router etc. My internet is worse now so we got rid of astound service. We went to turn in the devices and were told we have 4 euros and the 2 tuned in (taken by the tech)serial numbers don't match. What? We have never had 4. So now waiting on a call back to see IF they can be removed.

Chris Bowling: Big drop in quality, loss of channels and price increases since RCN/Astound took over for WOW. While watching TV channels will go in and out on a weekly basis if not daily. Have made multiple calls and quality does not improve. Lost a handful of cannels which are now in a higher priced package. After losing those channels my monthly bill still higher than WOW and increases on a monthly basis. In the process of finding a new cable/streaming service. The only positive for Astound is their customer service reps. Always nice and try to be helpful but their hands seem to be tied.
jjon1967: Horrible service. They will not answer phone so you can cancel services. I was on hold 20 min and it just hung up on me. Call back and it will not put me in que. Basic cable and internet is 250 a month and no one will pick up the phone so you can cancel service.Avoid this outfit at all cost.

Tyler Oldham: Let me start by saying that I have been a loyal customer for 3 years. I had WOW (in Evansville) services up until Astound purchased WOW within the last year. I never had any issues with my internet service until recently. I had my reservations and contemplated leaving Astound because I had not heard of this company prior to them buying WOW. I ultimately decided to stay on and had no complaints until the below issues:Previously my bill had continually risen on a monthly basis and upon making a phone call, Astound was able to re-enroll me as an "Astound customer" since i was previously a WOW customer prior to them absorbing WOW. This ultimately lowered my bill and gave me faster internet, a win-win in my book.HOWEVER I am on day 3 with no internet service at all. I have called Astound three times and spoken to three different customer service technicians. Each one failed to provide any reason as to why I had no internet service to my house and on top of that they stated that they had no ETA on when my service would be restored. The customer service representatives were zero help whatsoever and their lack of knowledge or care was astonishing to me. They never even said they were working on getting it fixed, only that they did not know when it would be fixed. Then during my last call today (which was 45 minutes long) the representative REFUSED to send me to a manager after I had asked repeatedly. She stated that "managers do not speak to customers about outages". I was taken back by her rudeness and unwillingness to assist in my matters. I asked her several questions that were ignored and she was very harsh and argumentative with me regarding the scenario surrounding my internet outage and even began blaming other companies for possible issues.Astound also failed to notify me that I even had an outage. Or that they were working on the issue to resolve it. Their website or any social media account tied to the company mentioned nothing about an outage in my area. The least they could do is inform their paying customers that they are having issues with their service.Furthermore, I was told that I had to call back into customer service (which had been useless so far) after my service was restored if I wanted any kind of discount or monetary recovery for my outage dates. Yet another hoop a customer has to jump through if they wish to recover money for a service Astound failed to provide. I have yet to reach this step but will not be surprised if further obstacles or issues arise from this coming interaction.....With this being said - I have been a customer of AT&T, Spectrum, and WOW previously through the years and I have never had to deal with this type of blatant disrespect and unethical business practices before. This has been a horrible expirence and I can not, in good faith, recommend that anyone use this company for any type of service. This is not a local company and they do not care for their customers in the way that they should. A simple look into their Google reviews show that they have 81 reviews with an average rating of 1.5 stars. Trust this review and others like it. I am not shocked at all to see that so many other customers in my area are experiencing random unexplained outages with their service as well. Astound shows a continued lack of effort or care for their customers and their unprofessionalism in handling these matters show that they do not know how to conduct themselves in an ethical and proper manner. If you live in the Evansville area, DO NOT use this company!My message to Astound corporate office is to look more heavily into the Evasnville area and sort out these unexplained issues with internet services. It will be advised to get employees who care about their performance and take pride in the services that you offer. The fact that each employee I have spoken to was completely incompetent and unknowledgeable in the company or services offered and failed to help in any way.

Chad Weatherford: I am updating my score, but I don’t think many others would be able to do so. I was helped by reaching out to some friends with pull at Astound and they got things moving for me. Called about a billing issue and complained about slow service. The lady then broke my internet and said everything looked good on her end. But she would send a tech out on Thursday. It's Tuesday and I work remotely for a company on the east coast. I pay for 1 gig down and was getting 130mbs. I guess she taught me not to complain.... AT&T Fiber, please get here faster!!!!
Van Haas: Very frustrated with Astound at this time. Last week our internet and cable went out. I spoke to 5 people at Astound over 2 days. The first person didn't know what to do, the second one said it was an "outage", the third person said there was no outage. Finally scheduled a tech to come out in a week. Told them that was unacceptable (superbowl). Spoke to someone Saturday and she had someone come out Sunday scheduled between 10 am and 12 pm. Around 1:00 I called, they said he was running behind, ok, that happens. Around 1:30 he called and came out. No signal from the wall from the faceplate that they installed before. He fixed it but had purchased a new modem as we were instructed by Astound. It was expensive. He said it was a very good modem. He hooked it up and replaced the faceplate with the connection. However, the modems do not have the outlet for the landline plug. He was supposed to have the unit with him, another reason for this trip. He said it wasn't on the order. So we scheduled another appointment for today, Wednesday between 4 and 6 PM. At 6:10 PM, I called to confirm. The person said that there was no order and the appointment was canceled. Who canceled it? She didn't know. So today is 2/15 and she can't get anyone until 2/28 between 4 and 6 PM that will come with the adapter/unit for the landline. We'll see what happens. I did ask for an adjust in our bill for all the problems and downtime. She could only approve $12. I'm tempted to switch companies at this point. Hope you all have better luck and we've been customers of theirs for many years too.
Kristen “KO” Clark: Why are we expected to pay 100% of our bill every month when we only get service roughly 50-75% of the time? Issue the statement that you took over a failed company and your equipment isn't compatible with their old servers, just like you told us. Also tell everyone that their old WOW equipment must be replaced for the internet to function properly. This is, without a doubt, the worst of the multiple internet service providers we've had, and we've had several in the Evansville area.

Beth Sutton: Horrible service. The service would consistently cut in and out. My router would need to be powered off and on and unplugged multiple times a day to even somewhat work. I spent so much time on the phone with customer service trying to troubleshoot to get my internet working to no avail.After months of this they finally recommended to send technician to my house to look at my router but they wanted to charge me for this service. I declined, stating that I was already paying for bad service I wasn't paying them more so that they could maybe fix it.I opted to cancel my service with them and switched. I haven't had one single issue from my new provider in the six months I have had them. So glad I left Astound. My only regret is giving them so many opportunities for so long.
David Bottomley: Our upstream speed dropped to 20Mbps with Astound vs 50Mbps with WOW for the same account. Astound says their maximum upstream is only 20Mbps. Thats.. astoundingly low in 2023.

I gave up. a few days later a guy shows up and he is an Astound rep named Shawn Glenn, following up my call with a visit. Odd. But after a quick view of our needs he planned out a deal that was not only cheaper by $20, it also increased our speed. Then a game plan that would keep us in the price range that was an absolute must for our inflation depleted budget. He knew all about their service and what was possible. He left with a new customer, an installation date and the Boss (my wife) is happy w how I orchestrated a smashing deal! ... LOL It was all Shawn, his knowledge and desire to help. Right there at our front door. Wow! I mean Astound!! Thanks Mr Glenn and company. 4 stars with expectation of #5 just around the corner!
