Deaconess Midtown Hospital: what do users think?
Shirley Dye: This hospital is bad my husband has been on the same meds for twenty years they decide to take him off it without contacting his primary care physician now he is worse and they act like they don’t care
Brandon Slisher: My wife was admitted to the ER. Because insurance is insurance, they refused to pay for a partial amount. Deaconess promised us we would be okay, if we applied for financial aid and waited for their notice in the mail. They stated if we were refused, they had a third party option available. They instead lied, sent it to a debt collector, and when I called said, “Sorry Sir, we are too understaffed to do our jobs and there is nothing we can do even though we promised you we wouldn’t do this. Is there anything else I can help you with?” Thankfully I have background in customer service, so I knew they were reading off a note card more or less. I was going to waste my time arguing with them. Unless your life is in peril, try every other Aves first before going to this hospital. We will go anywhere else but here.
Jay Forbey: Staff / employees were above expectations. Polite and reassuring.
Nee Nee: Don't take a job with Deaconess in Evansville, Indiana. My husband and I are a traveling pair and was canceled after 1 month with 9 other travelers because of low census.Just paid an Air BnB Friday and we all got cut Monday.Avoid this hospital. Poster taken from an anonymous poster
Varkaz X: Bad hospital. 0/10
Brittany Simpson: I love this hospital and the staff. You guys go above and beyond measures to help anyone. You don't let anyone leave that is sick until you've got them better. Number 1 hospital for me I wish I could give you 10 stars 🌟 St. Vincent messes up and you guys are quick to jump through hoops to get it figured out. You guys are the best
The Black Sheep: Great hospital with compassionate and efficient staff who took great care of my family member and got him out quickly. He was also very impressed and praised the nursing staff.
Francie Smith: The Dr that preformed my husband's surgery was amazing, as well as her NP. My complaints are with Deaconess Midtown.I saw my husband off at 8:30, received the post-op consultation at 12:00 and did not get to see him until 5:30, when a room opened up. I ordered food for him, it took 2 hours to get there and it was not good. Not a restricted diet, just off the menu items. Taste, amount and timing was bad. I ordered his breakfast for 6:30 at the same time. Post surgery care and overnight was top notch. Fast forward to this morning, food arrived cold and 2 hours after desired delivery. He couldn't eat it. The NP was there at 8:30 to remove his drain and release him. The nurse on duty printed the papers and let him walk out of the hospital at 11:00. Two full hours after he was released. Kind of makes sense now why it took 5 hours to get a room yesterday.Deaconess treat your staff and patients better!opened up.
Indiana Silver: Someone should really evaluate this place. The people here are hateful. When you take a love one in need of medical attention you hope to actually get help. Not her!!! You just get sent home. !!!!!!!!!!!!!We will never be back
Susan M.: Food was terrible. Nurses are great but wait time was terrible due to obvious shortage. Surgery personal outstanding! Administration needs to treat their personal better. You have 1000 job openings? Take a good look at yourself higher ups!!! So sad.
M W: Lots of walking.
Todd H: These people are ghouls. Try to work with them on billing. Nope. Send it to collections. Take $20,000 out my retirement (at a huge penalty) to pay off the collections, and I'm told everything is good. MyChart shows zero balance.Three years, yes, THREE years later, here's another bill for 2 grand. I thought this was taken care of? Nope... You forgot about second collections. We broke the bill into two pieces and sent it to two different collection agencies. Surprise!GHOULS.(I must point out that most of the nurses during my stay were great though)I've been using Ascension St. Vincent for the last three years, and I've had wonderful service. I highly recommend avoiding Deaconess altogether and checking out Ascension St. Vincent.
Courtney McKinley: Some of the nurses and techs were sweet, and we are thankful for that, but everything else was a nightmare. I recommend staying far away from Deaconess hospital. This place is a joke and horrible care! Even the nurse said they cannot believe our family member is going home in this condition. He’s seen the surgeon one time for 3 min and no Dr since. 2 days ago. He got 3 different answers from therapy, was told he would be here until further arrangements could be made for rehab, home health care, etc. Then they discharge him an hour later with instability, shakiness, confusion, and no arrangements for anything. They ordered him to not get around without a person to help and a walker, but then didnt order a walker. Now we all just sit and wait for 2 hours or more for a walker because the one in his room we can’t take.
Lauryn Watkins: Visited here while my family member was sick. The nurses here are very helpful and nice, the cafeteria has good food and well cleaned. Also there’s a sweet worker named Jane on the 2nd floor receptionist desk very nice woman! Need more people like her in this world.
Blanche Devereaux: The staff I've had encounters with in both the ER and being admitted to an upstairs unit have all been delightful and compassionate. Much more caring hospitalists in comparison to Ascension.
Charles Buxton: I found all personal, doctors and nurses very professional, personable caring and efficient. The nurses made my stay much less stressful and the facilities were clean and well equipped with modern equipment. If I ever need anouther operation, I hope it can be performed at this hospital.
larry o: My mother has been to this hospital twice in the last two years with the same results so it's not just an anomaly. Both times she was left without meds and food for eight plus hours in the emergency room and the room she was eventually given upon admittance. She is a diabetic and is supposed to eat and take her insulin on a schedule. The previous time she almost asphyxiated on her own vomit as she was trying not to throw up and make a mess in the hallway of the emergency room where she was taken in her wheelchair. This was during covid times so we weren't allowed to be with her. When we saw how poor their care was I asked for and was denied the ability for anyone from our family to be allowed to be with her overnight. This visit on November 18 and 19 of 2022 was more of the same thing. No food, no medicine, on any type of schedule. IV installed but not started for eight hours after her arrival. Same old story about their short handed and their sorry when you can find someone to talk too. Cannot stress strongly enough if you plan on going to this hospital bring your own food, medicine, and caretaker because the best you can hope for is concierge service from the staff.
J S: Emergency Room visit was a joke, we had to repeat to everyone we talked to on what medication my son took before we got here. They are not listening to the patients, or for the parents for that matter. The doctor prescribed more Tylenol, after we told them repetitdely that he took some Nyquil before we came in.No respect for the family's having to come in here because all other Urgent Care offices are already closed. The room was absolutely disgusting, the floors has dust bunnies all over, hasn't been vaccumed/swept in months. I guess the A/C wasn't working either, it was hotter in the room, then it was in the waiting area.We will not return here again for emergency visits. As far as the hospital stay, Jenny, one of the nurses here was awesome, she consistently went above and beyond to assist with all of my wife's needs. She really made this hospital visit a joy rather then an unpleasant necessity.
John Jones: The lady in the MRI department at the desk on 11-3-22 is very rude and will not even check and see why my wife is doing MRI and it's taking over 1 1/2 I would rather die than come back to this place if they had neg star u be receiving neg 5
April Vincent Davis: Update: My husband passed away!My husband was having serious pains in the shoulder and collarbone area. Deaconess told us there is nothing they can do and gave us a Referral for a orthopedic doctor. Let me mention we went to deaconess 4 times! The 4th time the guy in The triage area told us thet wont do anything because they already done tests on him. Which I clearly pointed out they only did a single x-ray on my husband. We went to midtown cause it was the closest to our house and the car ride was hell on him.. Then I had to call the ambulance to get my husband and we went to St.Vincents. come to find out my husband had multiple infections in his blood, lungs, bones and in his aorta!St.Vincents told me they dont know how he was even still here!!My husband has been through complete hell! He had to get a huge hole in his chest for the vac! It wouldn't be like this if deaconess would of done blood work the end of July! We've been at St.Vincents since last month! They are supposed to help the ppl and not Medically neglect ppl! They look at everyone like they only want a Prescription! Even though my husbands BP was extremely freaking high! They want to sue ppl for money but you can't get them to do their job to save a life! A orthopedic doctor could help us????!! Really Deaconess!

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville: what do users think?
Mark Norman: The billing services they use is a mess. I am very un happy with them at this point.I keep getting different stories each time I talk to them. They still have 1,000.00 of mine and haven't refunded me any of it and it's been 3 weeks.
kyle campbell: Me and my girl hated it here when we were at the NICU all the nurses and doctors and everyone was watching us they were rude and the social worker and some of the nurses and doctors were discriminating against me and being racist and trying to take my baby away from me I will never come back to have a baby there worst people there ever and not very helpful and I will never have a social worker ever again and the NICU people are the worst
Rebecca Johnson: The entire ER rooms need a sprucing up. A massive overhaul is needed. And instead of changing the name of the hospital take the money for a new sign and spruce up the entire hospital. And the man who is always outside protesting deserves to be heard.
DJ Smith: Honestly horrible! It scares me for the people there who can’t speak for themselves and don’t have family members to stand up for them. Super unorganized , can never be on same page about anything either. One person will tell you one thing, then someone else will tell you another. Can’t even give family members a time frame on when procedures will be done. Tell people they are fasting for a procedure, so don’t give them food all day, just for them to say they are doing it another day, therefore the patient is going without food and water unnecessarily. If the hospital actually had an organized schedule and clear communication throughout staff, would probably be much better. But unless you can check on your family member everyday to ensure they are feeding them and informing them correctly— don’t go here!!
John Kuntz: The service at the ER is kind of hit and miss. I've had both the best experiences and the worst experiences there. The wildebeest at the check in counter is less than friendly.
Jen Jazyk: Avoid this place using all necessary measures for yourself or a loved one. There are maybe a handful of great nurses and/or techs, but beyond that it is a mismanaged nightmare. The few good, can't possibly make up for all the negligent incidences we witnessed and experienced.
Samantha Mays: L&D nurses were fantastic while we were admitted for monitoring.
Kenny Seaton: Friendly staff, very helpful. Concern about what's going on with you. Best hospital. Gateway hospital are very hateful staff
jeremy Ellis: They threw my brothers dentures away when transported to Encompass. Ascension took no responsibility for their actions. The nurse on duty was to busy doing paperwork to follow-up. This is not the first time. A lady named Faith had her dentures thrown away. The hospital should pay. Mary Ellis.
Billie Kitch: Tried calling for x ray results and no one seems to have them. Waste of time going here.
Linda Brown: I go Pulmonary Rehab at Evansville St Vincent Hospital. I go 3 times a week and have for years. I-go to the CAM Building. (Center for Advanced Medicine). It is always clean and the people employed there have always been friendly. The staff at the gym are excellent and great example of the quality of care that I have come to realize is standard care you can expect at at St Vincent’s.
TheoNlyMe: I've found this St. Vincent to be entirely negligent of problems and issues expressed by the patient. I had to go to another facility for treatment for illness 2x after going to St. Vincent because both times they failed to check what was actually wrong, despite me asking them to check. Both times it was Dr. Gladys, who is anything other than Glad, he is awful. I had internal bleeding and was ignored, and not checked. I had to go to another facility the next day to find out my reason for illness was internal bleeding. These incidents were around 2018.The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because they have great phlebotomist and such, but their ER doctors are highly negligent.
Blanche Devereaux: Hospitalist and doctors had absolutely horrendous bedside manner. I was in tears twice just due to the lack of empathy. Nurses were all quite sweet though. Thank goodness for them.
Joey Askins: I arrived to ER with elevated temperature post surgical procedure. Rather than ask me a million unrelated questions the ER staff got right to work to find out what was wrong. Because of them I am now feeling much better and recovering at home. Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion.
Jarod Rickabaugh: Never will I come back. Been here 6 times in my life and everytime they let me down. Never again glorified band aid clinic
Cassie Goetzke: First of all, I want to give credit to where it is due. My experience with St. Vincent Hospital was a great one on the most part. It was actually a healing experience for me as I had traumatic experiences with other hospitals when delivering my two older children. It meant a lot to me that the majority of the staff read my birth plan and did their best to cooperate with my wishes. Thank you for that! Also, the amenity of a queen size bed for an overnight stay at the hospital was very nice. Now the absolute best part of my experience at Ascension was a nurse named Peyton Williams. My goal was natural childbirth and Peyton was both knowledgeable and skilled to assist me with this goal. She listened to me. She spoke the words of affirmation that I needed to hear. She accurately recommended the movements and positions that I needed to progress in labor. I was impressed with her ability to balance professionalism and personal attention. It was obvious her heart was “all-in”. I felt like I had a best friend helping me and yet I had just met her and, in her mind, she was just doing her job to help me succeed. I have never experienced this level of care before from a nurse. Now the worse part of my experience at Ascension were the 1 or 2 nurses who came barging in my delivery room yelling at me to lay on my back on the bed. At the time, I was upright on my knees on the bed holding onto the birthing bar that the hospital had provided for me. I was in the process of pushing and had already gotten the baby’s head out. I remember feeling very calm and happy that my dream of having no pain meds so that I could push in an upright position and deliver my baby naturally was happening. The doctor hadn’t arrived yet and my husband was excitedly catching the baby and this was just the cherry on top for me. BUT, the cops (I mean the nurses) yelled at me and put a stop to it and ended up tainting this beautiful story. What was meant to be sacred was disrespected.I felt like it was more dangerous to change positions in the middle of pushing the baby out, but I did it (with help) so that the nurse would stop yelling. You know, I imagine that this nurse just doesn’t have enough experience with natural childbirth and, when she saw that the doctor wasn’t there, she felt the need to change the environment to the controlled births that she’s used to. But the hospital is the one who provided the birthing bar! If we’re not allowed to use it, don’t give it to us.If Ascension wants to be inclusive in empowering all types of birthing women, then they need to train their staff appropriately and make sure that they’re all updated to the methods and approach needed. Seriously, I would let Peyton lead the way!
Nicholas Talerico: to be honest hospital staff and wait time was extremely rough then can't properly diagnose people and then second guessing what it couldn't or could be overall give it a 2/10 star needs improving badly
Logan Matlock: 5 stars purely because of the doctor Brandon Taylor not only was he amazing at his job but he made us feel secure and like we had nothing to worry about, like I seriously cant put into words how good he was I've lived in this city my entire 19 years of living and not only have I never met a doctor that professional and nice, but I dont think I will ever meet a doctor again thats as good as him. GIVE MANS A RAISE.
Amy Donnelly: If you can go anywhere else, please do. Absolute worst experience of my life. Treated so rudely in office that I switched providers. They refused to fax over records to that doctor while I'm pregnant. That took several calls and getting my blood pressure through the roof to correct. Next they decided to not send an entire bill to insurance after 2 different recorded calls with the office stating specifically to. Now, they've sold it to collections within a month! On the phone with insurance because they pay 100% of these yearly visits. Absolutely the worst Healthcare practices I've ever seen. I'm shocked they treat patients this way.
Elizabeth Zavala: Really bad front person take first people came after my daughter they don't look there dying either so they take u back if they see u dying or what no matter u have pain right.
Kerri Reese: These people are so helpful and nice even if you complain they still help and not get offended. I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for hiring great nurses and staff you all really care and it shows

Select Specialty Hospital - Evansville: what do users think?
Andy Anderson: I really liked the care I got from doctors and staff. Couldn't find a better place.
Lauren Burris: Great staff & great energy. They all try their very best to provide exceptional patient care.
cindy cook: My wife just got out of this hospital and she said her experience was top notch she has been to 3 other rehabilitation hospitals and this one rates number one
Jaylyn Kellen: Miscommunication, held back information, didn’t clean up body.
Paul Carter: Nothing to say just a nightmares place ..
Cindy Akers: I truly believe they saved my life. Everyone was extremely helpful. I had one on one care if needed. I feel very grateful and I humbly say Than You. God Bless you all..
Angie: NEVER NEVER NEVER let a loved one come here! My Dad didn't make it18 hours after being brought here. They told us he had pneumonia after giving him a chest xray (1st lie They told us!) Dr came in the next morning and said he did NOT have pneumonia and here comes the 2nd lie ( Dr said he was doing much better) not even 2 hours later my Dad was gone!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE!!!
peggy childers: The staff are 1 in a million. They got me thru a rought time.
Jeanna Crossen: DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY TO THIS PLACE!!
Michelle Strate: I arrived on 9/4/21 from another hospital and had been on a pureed diet, the only thing they could find for me to eat was tuna salad. I was told to try and remember the nurse and cna who took care of me because I had Covid brain, but that was pretty impossible with visiting nurses. The doctor who treated me let know my liver numbers were higher than normal, I asked if I should be worried and his answer was it will be okay. About 4 days later I was sitting on the bedside toilet and I look at my legs and they were the colors of a gourd. One of the nurses told me when no one cold hear us that they needed to get me out of there before they killed me because my liver numbers were through the roof. When the doctor came in the next day needless to say I was not lady like when I demanded that something be done, he replied I will see if we can find a traveling ultrasound tech. I told him that there was no we will see and that he better do something. He walked out of the room and 2o minutes later the nurse said he had changed his mind and was sending by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Now I understand that it is a rehabilitation place but he should have sent me to the hospital as he watched my liver numbers go up. I ended up having surgery the next morning because I had gallstones blocking my bile ducts.
Joseph Morris: My son's Brandon was in a head on collision. He suffered 3 broke ribs, punctured lung, 2 strokes , an adi and a brain stem injury. The people at select specialty hospital and Owensboro regional hospital took very good care of my son. The staff at these hospitals went above and beyond to provide the best care possible. He is recovering and I thank all of the people that save my boy. I can't thank you all enough.
Charity Potter: My father spent 22 days with Select Specialty Hospital, a critical care facility in Evansville Indiana where the staff to patient ratio is balanced. They have 60 beds, but only 41 were used as "Specialty" care matters to them. The RT is staged outside the patients room. The nurses station is a hub with call boards for welcome collaboration. The staff respect one another and they take great pride in the progression of their patients. 5 out of 5 🌟 🤩.
Gregg Ferrell: Great Place for great care of my family. sorry Ms Wong could not make two wrongs a right. you parked wrong as you admitted then stalked ms dixon to work then tried to get her in trouble. That is actually 3 wongs against you. In my opinion you are what is wrong with America especially playing the race card.
kelly wong: I had a horrible run in with a worker from this facility. She was screaming racial slurs towards my family as we walked out of the Walgreens since we were parked too close to her. This center is remarkable and above all wonderful with their care, but to have someone working there like this bothers me to my core. I followed her to her place of work and asked a person that works there what her name was. I made sure she couldn't see me. I can't beleive what this woman had done...Janice Dixon was her name. I'm feel for anyone that crosses her path. Please pray for her as she does not see her ways and needs help:(
Christina Walker: If I could give this hospital ZERO stars I would! If you care anything about your family DO NOT put them here!! My husband came here for rehab and to be weaned off the ventilator after battling Covid. Respiratory I did not have any issues with. Most of them were wonderful. Everyone else...HORRIBLE! They ripped out his chest tube while repositioning him. Had to wait 6 hours to get it replaced. Then come to find out weeks later (after we were transferred to another hospital) that the second one was not done properly! After contacting the CEO on this incident all I received was a stupid apology letter!! They never answered his call light ( mainly the night nurses) plus they were quick to kick you out right at 8:00. Physical therapy treated him like he was a 4 year old not a 47 year old man! If this review saves another family from going through what we want through it'll be worth it!!
Eli Smith: My father was a patient at Select this year and honestly, it was a mixed experience. The staff are incredible, first and foremost. I can’t recall everyone’s names, but these few stood out: Madison CNA, Wendy RN, Sandra RN, Mike RT, Crystal the supervisor, and several others whose names I unfortunately didn’t catch. The staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. A staff member on nights, a woman with purple hair, made sure my dad’s phone was close to him for me to call, and even wrote down directions for me and suggested a local hotel and some restaurants, as I’m not from Evansville. The care my family member received, was phenomenal as far as I could tell. But the building itself needs a lot of work. The hospital isn’t very welcoming and is clearly very poorly maintained. The elevators weren’t working properly, the floors were stained and dingy, the wallpaper is peeling off the walls, dead roaches, even the outside of the building is a bunch of different colors, like they couldn’t decide on a paint color. The walls are beige, the floors are beige, the trim is beige, the elevators are beige. The whole place feels very outdated, like nothing has been updated since the 80s. The staff here are caring and helpful, while overworked and underpaid, but clearly the administrators need to focus a little more on the overall aesthetic of their facility. If the hospital was better maintained/updated, it would be 5 stars from me!
Justin Lisanby: They were very helpful I just went to get birth certificate and some mask's got and out in 15 minutes. Very nice and helpful.
Sandra Feltz: When I 1st was being transferred to select I to Select I was really nervous. But from admission to going home I had nothing but wonderful care! They made sure that any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. It did not matter What position anyone held if they noticed I needed something whomever saw it willingly and gladly helped me. From therapy, to techs,, to nurse's, to dietary and patient adovateswhat position a person held if I needed any help no matter who it was they were willing to help. . At 1 point I was nervous about dinner as I hadn't been there that day to order dinner but they came up with plenty. There's plenty of options and the entire stay the food was wonderful. From the therapist to the techs to the nurses to the doctors everyone there treated me with respect and kindness. And being treated that way is very important when you're at a low point. I cannot say enough good things about the care I received there. And beyond the care it was the human kindness kindness that really helped to get me through this day..I could hear the compassion and care they showed others as I walked the halls for therapy. I feel confident in recommending this hospital to anyone in need of their services.
Justin Phillips: I would have never walked again if it wasn't for the great therapists at this hospital.
Chicago Haitian 35: All the staff was excellent
Terry Sparks: I've read a few disappointing reviews of select and I gotta say I can't agree with them,as far I can see I couldn't have had a better team of medical professionals working and taking care of me for the better part of 2 months last year (Nov/December) having significant back wound to pressur wounds they were amazing in getting me on a great start on the road to recovery ,I can't thank the nurses enough for their patience, understanding and just generally awesomenessI don't want to forget my case worker Tracey who was very helpful , I was glad she in my corner ,not only am I indebted to Dr. Rostas of Washington Indiana for saving my life, but also the amazing staff of Select Specialty of EvansvilleThank YouTerry Sparks

Evansville State Hospital: what do users think?
Claudia Congleton: I’m very disappointed with the new “renovation” of both lakes on the grounds. By removing all of the natural vegetation and cutting down trees they have taken away the habitat for geese and ducks and the occasional heron that comes by. Not only that, the geese cannot easily get out of the lake because of the large white rock riprap that lines the banks. The natural beauty of the lake and it’s setting has been destroyed. I don’t know who made this decision to change the grounds , but it was not necessary. I hope some money for new park benches was allocated!! This park was the best one in Evansville and I know many of us are sorry to see what’s happened with the lakes
Mike Mason: Grounds are a great place to walk and relax
albass94: It's a clean facility. Staff are kind to the patients.
Snub Nose: im having trouble contacting my brother Larry mckinstry his case worker haven't returned any of our calls and when we call him they say that he says he doesn't wanna talk something isn't right and I will be digging into this very deep he was incarcerated then sent here he only had a 5 Year sentence and hes been at that hospital for about 3 years someone need to contact us asap for we get lawyers involved!!! final warning!!!!!
Kathryn Dillard-Burton: i grew up in a neighborhood by this lake, and it really is beautiful. However, most of the original hospital's buildings have been torn down. i would still highly recommend giving it a visit around springtime.
J S: Great park to feed the ducks, or take in a walk

Deaconess Gateway Hospital: what do users think?
Angela Cole: This hospital is the worst they don't listen or they don't hear you couldn't even set me up with a soci worker there compassion they don't have any
Christopher Edge: Taking care of yourself in a lot of cases starts with you, but sometimes in life we don't take care or some disease or virus like Covid comes along. Deaconess is well equipped with professional staff and equipment to get you better. But remember it will cost you or your insurance company.
Angela Lord: Very nice and comfortable every time I've ever had to ge there for anything
Teeeve: I have not had very many runnings here at Gateway, although the ones that I have a been nothing but great. Everyone is very polite, friendly and accommodating.
Ryan Evans: These negative reviews are spot on. As an infant my middle child started having coughing/choking fits at night after we laid him down. The panic of knowing your child is in distress and you dont know why is a terrible feeling. We took him to the ER here but by the time we got there his fits calmed down. This happened for weeks with several visits to the ER here. What did the poor excuse for a doctor do??? Instead of looking into what was causing the fits she called CPS on us...Thanks to St. MARY'S (St.Vincent) doing what doctors SHOULD do we found out our boy had severe acid reflux caused by sensitivity to his formula and required prescription formula we could only get from a pharmacy with prescription.I will never forget their failure and despise the female doctor that put us through the terrible experience of having CPS treat us like we abused our child. The locals know not to go to Deaconess. That's why it's located at the 69/LLOYD Expressway interchange, easy access for unknowing out of towners.
Nicole Pearch: Literally the worst hospital on the planet. You could probably go in with your leg half falling off and still have to wait hours in the lobby to even be looked at. Get it together
judy blume: These ppl are all cold and callous. If you have no empathy for the suffering and sick find another line of work! They act like you're inconveniencing them and expect to wait for HOURS. They do not care how sick you are. This is obviously where nursing went to die. No one will care about you at this emergency room they will send you home without getting care. Go to st Vincent's I beg you.
Kenneth: Communication is terrible. Tried all day to call pain management center, wouldn't answer phone or reply to message. Need appointment!!! Still haven't got through. I even have a referral. Worst treatment ever.
Brandy English: My dad went in unresponsive. NOONE could tell us anything. We sat there for 4 hours with the receptionist telling us a nurse would update us. We literally had to catch a nurse ourselves when the ER door opened, only to be told he was moved to icu. I do not recommend this ER to anyone.
Missy Bentley: Hannah S & Rachel in outpatient lab services were phenomenal today. Definitely eased the pain of this cancer survivor!
Richard Camp: My wife has been to this hospital twice. Both experiences have been have ended with life changing trauma. The staff refuses to listen to you and treat you like a person. They don't read patient charts. They dont take vital information and transpose it on to said charts. They forced my 2 year old daughter into getting a catheter for a urine sample, despite numerous requests to use the less invasive and painful collection bag/cup. I am still livid over this. You've got 1 person trying to be helpful for every 10 that is unprofessional treats you and your family like sub-human garbage.
Joseph Cooksey: they have went out there way to try and help me i highly recommended this place they are caring kind and supportive
Susan Maier: Rude employees
Addison Rylee: I wouldn’t want my worst enemy treated at this hospital emergency room. I was not even treated like a human being. You will not be listened to. You will be ignored. You will leave with the same problems you went in with and a whole lot of trauma from your visit. Expect to be violated and harassed by staff. If this is what healthcare has become, I’m starting to lose hope in it all. This emergency room needs a complete overhaul on training.
Clinton Harper: deaconess is a complete scam just to make money. went by ambulance to gateway with symptoms of a stroke. the er doctor refused to test me for a stroke even after several emts started signs of a stroke. after being in the er for several hours with no reasons to my condition I was sent up stairs. laid in a bed for several days without being able to walk til the physical therapy lady came in and tried to help me walk. soon as we started she asked if I was tested for a stroke, I said no that the doctors wouldnt test me because they didnt think it was that. she left and 30 mins later i was sent for a stroke test. magically it came back that i had a stroke. now i have a big hospital bill due to the drs not wanting to do their jobs and test me for a stroke. do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Tara Boals: I did not even want to give one star to this hospital emergency room because they were so so bad.It felt like a horror movie hospital seriously. I was taken by ambulance on August 6 and when I got there I was under alot of emotional distress and was having a mental health crisis so it would have been nice if one person would have showed me some compassion but that never happened. A nurse forcibly came towards me with a needle and of course I am thinking what is she trying to give me well come to find out it was haldol a very strong antipsychotic and for what I never tried to hurt anyone there or myselfI had no choice because two police officers told me to sit down and then she walked over and gave me the shot and I did not want itI am 50 years old so I should have had a say in that. My blood pressure was 180/116 most of the time I was there and I had a seizure but they left me in a room by myself for 2 hours and did nothing oh yeah and the nurse unplugged me from the blood pressure monitor and left. The nurse and two officers walked out locked my door and started laughing and one of them said oh well she is going to die anyway. I told a nurse when I came in I have seizures and high blood pressure and diabetesShe just walked out. I felt like I was dying literally. I was also sent to deaconess crosspointe even though I said no because I go somewhere else so they had a judge sign a emergency detention order for 72 hours and sent me there against my will. You would think i would have received a discharge paper from this hospital but no nothing and I bet if i try to get a medical record of this visit it does not exist. Please if you are suffering mentally just call a suicide crisis line instead. They will look down on you. I have another traumatic experience to try and deal with so thanks DG ER
Bailey Randall: I went to visit Jennifer Snyder. She is an amazing woman. I accomplished exactly what I needed.I would like to mention, that on my way out, the main lobby was full of parents, children, and employees. School supplies! There are many ppl at this hospital that really take the time to give back to the community. I encouraged three ppl willing to share information on how to help the community. This is was just during my appointment. I hadn't made it back down to the lobby yet. It was all in a timely manner. This trip would have been quicker, but the conversations encouraged to want to stay longer.
Stephen Hatfield: Outstanding Hospital
A Hatfield: The information desk lady told me completely wrong and ended up causing me to sit around for about 2 hours waiting for a test that should have happened in a different building. She acted like an expert said oh they're closed. And then directed me to the wrong place which proceeded to have you sit in a little room for 2 hours until I finally found somebody to help me they told me I was in the wrong place just like I told the information lady to begin with
Mary Bebout: Very beautiful place with some caring and special people.
Amber Held: Awesome

So I ended up going to deaconess because they have an urgent care conveniently next to their ER. Cause what kind of hospital doesn't have an non emergency urgent care at their facility?
Larry Sisco: Enjoy going, really nice people, like my doctor!
Jackie Parmley: Friendly staff
Chris Shimboff: Seemed like a very clean and professional place. I'm definitely getting sick of the mask pushing... never wore them in hospitals before covid. Either way, I digress! The staff seemed very nice and knowledgeable. The people I have visited say the staff is very attentive. I would definitely consider using this hospital.
April Wright: We brought my mother in because she was out of it. They rushed her into an ER room. From there we went to the ICU to a hospice room. This has been very hard for our family. EVERY single doctor, nurse, and tech were amazing.
Nancy Cockerham: They are very friendly, caring, awesome nurses and doctors!
Julie Witherspoon: Very good care
Stan Eickhoff: Everyone was very nice and professional
Bubbys Mama: Staff seems very kind to patients and visitors alike
Jim Adams: Not as good as it use to be. The nurses were wonderful, doctor wasn't.
Renie Scalf: I don't trust them
Trace or George Rogers: As of my last visit to the ER my experience was so much better. After arriving by ambulance the staff was quick to start checking on me and see if I needed anything. The Dr. was outstanding ( can't remember his name...sorry). The entire team was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you all that was there. Date of last visit 5/26/2022
