Hyatt Place Evansville / Downtown: what do users think?
Nick S: Very nice, new hotel, but they need to get better control of what’s going on at the property. The room next to mine was having a party and even after notifying the front desk it didn’t stop. There was also a large group of teens outside yelling and throwing things until well after midnight and nothing was done about that either. Would not stay again.
Chloe Fox: The breakfast buffet is AMAZING.

Hampton Inn Evansville/Airport: what do users think?
Paul Quella (PQ5876): We stayed at 4 Hampton Inns on this vacation. The cost of all were between $175 and $195 each. This one has the best breakfast, but the worst room. The bathroom needed some small attention.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stormy Gleva: A very nice place with a good breakfast bar in the mornings. The people at the front desk and even the room service people were really nice. The only thing that I would say is to maybe do training on how to navigate the TVs because all we could get was HBO. Other than that, everything was nice, it was really clean and I would recommend staying here if you're ever going to Evansville.Food & drinks: The breakfast was really good and just a tip for your hot cocoa; they have hot water, cocoa mix, and with breakfast, they have whipped cream and chocolate chips, which was really good.
Julie Romney: We stayed here one night while passing through on a long drive. Our room was clean, and we loved the pool! It wasn’t crowded, and it felt clean without an overpowering amount of chlorine like we’ve encountered in some other hotel pools. The kids and I had a great time swimming and were all able to get hot showers after. My kids loved that there was hot chocolate available in the lobby anytime. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Audrey Naffe: Love staying here! The hotel staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Every time I stay, the facility and rooms are clean and organized. The hotel has a great selection of snacks and travel necessities down by the front desk, as well. I recommend this hotel for both business and casual stays, either alone or with others. The rooms are spacious! A+++
Kimberly Zoller: Hockey tournament. When we arrived Christian greeted us at the door. He helped us check in. That evening Ben was at the desk answering any questions we had. The staff was amazing with off of my kids. Susana was at the desk the next day. She was very kind and helpful. The breakfast staff was amazing. Warming up our food so the butter would melt. Lol. The guy that was cleaning all weekend was nice. Didn’t talk with him much. I would love the staff at every hotel we stayed at were this nice. Thank you for making our weekend great!
Josh Fulton: Overall the place is nice but be sure to know the exact dates you will stay and don’t change them. You will be charged and they will claim to call. Expect the run around if you have any issues.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More

Sandy Stapp: No dog hair in room on bed from the guest before us .Rooms: When we got into our room the first night we were tired and just went to bed . The next morning we had someplace to be so we got up and got ready. I put our suitcase on the bed so we could get ready. We got back late the 2 ND night and when I moved the suitcase it was covered in dog hair . The spread on the bed had dog hair all over it. We didn't have a dog so it was from the guest before us. They really need to change all the bedding especially if they are allowing animals in the rooms. We really liked the location and the breakfast was great. They just need to change all bedding . We will not be back next time I will look for a hotel that doesn't allow animals.

Always Providing: The location is within walking distance to a couple restaurants. It's always clean and well kept. The only issue I've ever had is trying to check-in around 2am. The only attendant had gone to the bathroom and I had to wait about 10min. for them to come back and give me my room key.Food & drinks: They serve breakfast with fresh coffee each morning. It's a standard hotel breakfast with a waffle maker, pancakes, and French Toast triangles or sticks.

Chris Muncy: The rooms where clean and comfortable and the staff was outstanding very friendlyRooms: Clean and comfortable and staff excellentNearby activities: Places to eat like Pips ..Mexican and any type fast food you want plus Evansville not far awaySafety: Rooms Safe
Eric Sells: I want to preface this review with the reason for my stay. I brought 30 people to a robotics competition nearby, half of them high school kids, half of them adults. I had a large number of rooms. My assumption is that they are just not used to or equipped to handle groups. My check in was very smooth. One of the owners I assume handled it. Keys were ready. She was extremely nice. I assigned my rooms to my people. One room had lights that didn't work, so they were given a different room. Okay stuff happens. Another had a door that wouldn't lock at all, so they were given a different room. Except the room that second student was given was the first room where the lights didn't work. A third room I had adults in had no fridge and it looked like it had been recently ripped out of the wall. It was clear they were booked and literally had no rooms left, so the few rooms with issues stood out. Again, this was all while the owners were still there and they were incredibly nice.Fast forward to the end of the first night. Another group comes in. They had reserved rooms and called to say they would be checking in late. While hotels often double book in the hope that people don't come, doing so on a weekend with a large event seemed foolish, as they turned away this 15 person group at 11PM who had reservations. Didn't happen to me, but I witnessed it. Again, they are not used to events. The next morning was breakfast. I am not complaining about breakfast, just stating facts. It is simple and small. No hot foot. They had one waffle maker, then bagels and cereal. Which I could have found out before the trip. But I think people should know what they are getting into. If it was just me and a few people, grabbing food at the McD nearby would have been no big deal, but with bus loads of students, it wasn't an option.Fast forward to checking out.... The brunt of my two star.I have had worse service while checking out. But not much worse. I had 12 rooms. They charged my personal card for 11 of them and the team card for 1 of them. I tried to get them to switch them and these morning workers struggled. Then while trying to do that, they had me charged for room numbers that weren't mine and one of my rooms was not even charged to me and under someone else's name. I had to leave quickly, so I just told them I would call them. It was incredibly frustrating. They said they would email me receipts.Fast forward 24 hours. No receipts. Charges still all wrong. Extra pending charges on my personal card. I called. Told this additional worker what was up. She said it should all work itself out, so I only get charged for 12 rooms. I waited a couple days. The pendings came off and I was only charged for 12 rooms. Still 11 on my personal card and 1 on the team card. But I can reimburse, so it is not the end of the world. I did finally get the receipts, but only 11 of them... so okay...Last little bit. When reserving, I asked three times for the total room cost including taxes and fees. She gave me a number, lets call it XX. Then when checking out, I come to find out that XX was before taxes and fees, and between 12 rooms, I was charged an extra 500 dollars.Needless to say I was frustrated. It has all been sorted now. The owners are nice and caring. I just don't think they are used to groups. So if you are a group, I recommend going elsewhere. If you are a family, it was great. Pool. Diner next door with amazing food. Gas and a McD next door.
Krystal martin: We have been here quite a few days with our 2 Furbabies Dryvar a DachshundClutch a CatTruck at the Freightliner right behind the hotel. They are a wonderful Staff here, very nice & accommodating,Our room is clean and bed is really comfortable. There's 2 fast food places right outside and a marathon convenient store.Breakfast is basic waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, milk, coffee, juice, tea, hot chocolate, and only downfallNo proteins and nothing diabetic friendly. The Indoor Pool was clean and open. What a plus in 4* weather. Also, they have awasher $1.50 and dryer $1.00, so I did laundry.Fridge, microwave, 4 cup coffee maker, blow dryer, wifi, and cable. If this is to be your choice just to sleep for the night, I guess it's okay but not my choice to stay again.

Courtyard by Marriott Evansville East: what do users think?
Peter Gyarmati: The room was fairly noisy and the mattress was way too soft. There are no EV chargers, only 110V outlets.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More
Sterando Davis: I’m a Gold Elite member so I stay at Marriott and Marriott brands very often; however, this is the second time I came to this facility and was told we do not have rooms available. The first time visit was Mid-February. The front desk personnel name Maryellen said their systems were completely down and have been since the weekend, so she couldn’t make a reservation, look up a reservation if you had one, and she would have to trust the customer if they had a reservation. Ok, I understand systems go down. I had to stay at the Fairfield Inn, which is a nice hotel too. The second visit was today (03/20/23). I walked in the building at 7:14pm and requested to make a reservation. Surprisingly, it was Maryellen again. This time Maryellen said she didn’t have any rooms available and she was sold out. I told Maryellen this is the second time I came here and you do not have a room available. She didn’t once apologize for not having a room or recommend another hotel in the area like she told me back in February. I told Maryellen this was my first time at this hotel and in town on business. Maryellen dismissed me by saying hotel sold out. So, I went out to my car and booked a room at this same hotel for a King Bed with Sofa. They also had a double queen room too, but I wanted a King bed. I was one person and didn’t feel the need to deprive someone else who had a family and really needed two beds. After booking my room,, I came back into the building and spoke with Maryellen again. I told her I now have a reservation. She looks me up at the computer and immediately says “last name”. I give her my last name and she says “I don’t see that you have a reservation.” I told her I just booked it so I should be in your system for a King room with Sofa. Afterwords, Maryellen finds me in the system and then says “All I have is a handicap accessible double queen bedroom”. I told Maryellen, I saw two types of rooms on your Marriott website a King Room and a Double Bedroom. I requested and paid for a King room. Maryellen says “All I have is a Handicap Accessible Double Queen Bedroom. I can show you my list and computer”. At this point, Maryellen has be indifferent about trusting her. Instantly I asked to speak to the General Manager and Maryellen says “they’ve all gone home for the day and unavailable”. I tell Maryellen, please get your General Manager on the phone. Maryellen then proceeds to go into the back room. She is back their for 10mins while I stand at the counter waiting for her return. When she comes back, Maryellen dials the number and says she is having phone troubles and the phones aren’t working. She fettles around with the phone receiver and pressing buttons. I don’t know if the phone works or not, but it sure was a distraction to avoid calling her GM. Remind you I am standing at the counter documenting this situation, in writing, on my phone. Then, I ask Maryellen will the GM be in in the morning. Her answer was yes. Maryellen then says “ I could text her but I don’t know if she will respond.” I told her I will speak to them in the morning. I took the Handicap Accessible room. Maryellen made the keys and did not provide me as a business owner excellent customer service on what time breakfast starts/end, when the pool closes and gym, or if I need any additional assistance that she or someone would be available. Maryellen has VERY POOR customer service skills, made me feel I was uninvited to stay in the hotel as she had an arrogant and rude demeanor, and very quick to dismiss me out the door and say she had no rooms available. I really didn’t want to give a 1 star ⭐️. If there was a scale of “0” for service I would choose it for this hotel. Again, this is my experience never been to this hotel in Evansville IN. I am not from this location and came here on business over 3hrs. Maryellen, you need additional Customer Service training and work on your honesty—-It’s atrocious. The room was nice.Rooms: Too much room for me. I didn’t need two beds when I booked a 1 King Bed with Sofa.Food & drinks: Conveniently near a plethora of shopping centers and restaurants to choose from in the area.Noteworthy details: VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and DISHONESTY from staff Maryellen.
Cammie Noble: I stayed in one of these hotels in Evansville, Indiana. The room was nice enough, but my comforter on my bed was stained up. It looked like it hadn't been washed for a while. One of the elevators had throw up in the corner of it and the cleaning staff woman tried telling me it was chocolate, and for the high amount you have to pay to stay there they do NOT offer free breakfast.... All of the staff that I met while there were very friendly so that helped a lot!!Food & drinks: They do not offer free breakfast!!!

José Antonio Cruz: Good location and great service
Taylor Brooke: Booked one night and was told they needed my card for incidentals. Added another night to my stay, same thing. No big deal until not only did they check me out on their own three hours ahead of time after I ran to an appointment, leaving me with no time to shower and then coincidentally using the "incidental" charge to double charge me for a full night stay. The receptionist was nice when I called her but told me I'd have to wait for a manager. I'm sure the manager will make some sort of excuse as to why she can not refund me. So basically, we are out 70 dollars and didn't even get our full stay that we paid for. Will have to dispute the extra charge with my bank. Very very sad. Not something that should ever happen.
robert ross: Stayed three days over Christmas. Price was good and the pool was clean. Carpet was pretty worn in the room. No microwave in room which was irritating. No coffee! To quote another review, "They have the crappiest Starbucks in the lobby and offer nothing besides $12 bk sandwiches and overpriced coffee which I personally think tastes like dirt."I agree with this review totally, it was someone brewing Starbucks coffee and putting the brewed coffee in coffee dispensers. There is another Marriott nearby, next year we will stay there instead.Edit: Dropping it a star. The very next night I was in the pool with my kids and stepped on broken glass. A small shard in my heel, no blood, the size of a splinter. Luckily my wife was able to get it out.

Bed was kind of just worn maybe. Then there was the 9am bang on the door the day of checkout after having a very long work day and night. There is zero need for this. They should know who checked out by coordinating with the front desk. I shouldn’t have to be awakened by multiple bangs on the door like the police to be met with “housekeeping” when clearly checkout is NOON!! Coffee wasn’t great even though it was Starbucks. Which was odd. Fridge in the room but microwave is in the hall. Just so much opportunity to be better as I travel for a career and staying in like places is required.
Heidi Lewis: Nice place to stay, outdoor patio and smoking area is nice for those of us who are smokers and don't want to stand on the corner of the street just to smoke. They do have a Starbucks, but breakfast menu is very different than what I am used to at my local Starbucks. I would have given a 5 star rating but there is no free breakfast, you have to pay Starbucks, and the bottles of water you are offered after you check in are NOT complimentary, they will charge you for it as an incidental. Just FYI, otherwise, Nice place.
