WBOOB TV: Omg worst hotel I've ever been charged for. No toilet paper I'm either bathroom then when we ask about it the hateful woman working nights acted like we were robbing them for toilet paper. The. Gave us a half role told us just share it. Beds dirty.ciggarette burns I'm bedding towels dirty. Room filthy. Roaches and bed bugs visible. And had the audacity to charge a 50 cash deposit. We went and slept 2 hours in our car and left. Almost 100 a room lost. Please do yourself a favor run from this place.

Kenneth Hempstead: Owner was standoff-ish and did not want to match Expedia price as he'd offered over the phone- had to play a little hard ball for him to concede. There wasn't any soap in the room when we got there and only gave us a bar of soap for each of us. Location was ideal for my professional contract work (~1.1 miles down the road), but the guy is a real tool, so be prepared for him to seem like he's never interacted with another human being a day in his life. No security system around the place, which felt as if it were a little seedy. Facilities were just okay, but had the bare minimum which was the only redeeming factor.

The Mac Attack Show: Motel 41 is not affiliated with The Mac Attack Show upon this review.I travel for a living, and have stayed in about every hotel and motel imaginable. This motel is by far the best (for the price) I've stayed in. Now I've stayed here quite often and here recently for awhile. I'll be checking out the day after this review.The motel management is kind, friendly, and understanding. Just as long as you're the same way. The employees are some of the kindest, and hardest working employees I've ever met. Whatever issue you have, within reason, they take care of it. From needing towels, to needing you room cleaned, they will take care of it. Remember, I did say within reason. This isn't the Hilton or Marriott. If you want that, go pay those prices, just say'n 🤷♂️.All rooms I've stayed in here, are very clean. This motel used to be a Motel 6. Over the years, different management has taken over. With the cost of living and building materials going up, the rooms are a little outdated. But some of the rooms are being remodeled at the time of this review. There has been the typical spider encounter in some of the rooms, but nothing else concerning health wise, i.e. roaches or bed bugs. Again, rooms are very clean and bug free. Plus, every room has really good wifi, and cable.After reading some of these reviews, and seeing some of the pictures from the reviews, a person would think this motel is nasty and unprofessional. I'm here to tell you, that's just not the truth. I feel as though some people believe if they spend any amount of money for a hotel, that they are entitled to Hilton and Marriott expectations and treatment. I'd say, if you spent $60, appreciate all that you do get, because it's a good deal in relation to the economy we are living in. That, or buy a camper, just say'n.I've enjoyed staying here and will stay here again. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I'd like to see at least free coffee and doughnuts for the guests in the mornings.This is a great place to stay for the price. But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself.

Aside from the occasional unruly neighbor n the price per month, I would probably still be there! Staff are excellent at trying to resolve any issues you may have!Rooms: Was clean n moderately up to-date but spacious!Nearby activities: Eastland mall is less than a mile away not to mention countless fast-food/restaurants close.Walkability: Aside from the 2nd floor rooms everything else is on the ground floor at the hotel.Many stores eateries are within walking distance; also!The Mets buses met at Lawndale Shopping Center about a 10-15 min walk away!Food & drinks: There's a Circle-K right beside the hotel!

Jennifer Casner: They had us wait for them to clean the room.. what they really meant, make the bed. Room was very dirty, pills on the floor, hair everywhere. Nothing said clean. When leaving the next day, refused to return our deposit. For no reason, they didn’t even check the room. I wouldn’t ever recommend this place. We turned them in to the BBB AND THE CITY HEALTH INSPECTORS
t moore: 1st room was a mess, but next morning my replacement was Great. Started with free small simple continental breakfasts, but eventually got smaller & smaller 'til there was none. The workers were great, some had there days. Have ran low on things tissue, Kleenex, clean towels at times. Laundry room makes just go to a real Laundromat. Any issues I had they fixed immediately, but a sewer or plumbing smell continued to linger ever so often no matter what they or I tried. Safe place to stay. For such a long term stay I appreciated even the smaller things and every bit of kindness.

Elizabeth Jarman: DO NOT STAY HERE!! I’d give it 0 stars if I could. I checked into the room around 8 PM. I was out running around so I didn’t get into the room until almost 11. I showered & laid down. Not even 5 minutes later a BED BUG was crawling on my leg. I went down to the desk & the man was very rude. He stayed on his phone & I forced him to talk about the situation. I’m going back tomorrow to try & get a refund bc he said talk to management. Again, they have BED BUGS!!!

Jeffrey Atchley: The couple cleaning the rooms wanted me to leave earlier than I planned. They were hanging out by my room giving me dirty looks every time I walked out of my room. I felt very uncomfortable. I did what they wanted and left earlier than I planned. I drove to a parking lot to wait until it was time for me to be at my appointment. I will not stay there again because of this.

Ari Eliefja: Look, you don't go to an "Econo" lodge for luxury. You go because want to save money, not linger in the as you're passing town. We got in after midnight and left by 8am. We booked the last two rooms available, and the staff were exceedingly helpful about finding us a crib at the last minute. Ok, the wall paint wasn't fresh, there's no coffee in the rooms, and some of the light bulbs were burnt out, but the bed was clean and comfy. We got what we needed from the place, a good night sleep, and headed on our way. What do you want for 50 bucks?

Chrissy Hammons: Great location for walking to/from the Ford Center, but the beds are hard as a rock and my tv remote was duct taped together so it didn’t really work. Room was basically clean. Bathroom floor hadn't been mopped and the doors, walls and trim could definitely use a good wipe down! The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Breakfast was really basic. Waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal and apples/bananas. No butter, no toast, no toppings for your waffles, only whole milk available.

Pamela BB: The Quality Inn was a good place to stay on a recent overnight trip into Evansville. It seems like it was recently renovated. It was clean and updated. Their complimentary breakfast consisted of cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, granola bars and self-made waffles. The coffee was actually good. (Generally, I don't care for hotel coffee and never partake of the in-room coffee.) They had a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room and the TV was large. All in all, I would recommend it. Especially if you're going to the nearby casino. We got an Uber to the casino for about $8.50.

Jamie Brison: Clean room, nice and firm queen beds, decent-sized bathroom, and convenient location.The desk clerk was very nice and helpful.This is an older hotel, so there are some marks on the ceilings, walls, and floors/carpets, but that is to be expected. (This is the reason for the 4 star on the room score.)We will definitely stay here again.
Ty C: I had a good stay and feel the price I booked was fair. Room was clean and fairly maintained. TV and WiFi worked well. It was convenient to many different restaurants. Bed was pretty firm which was great for my back. I like firm but if you don't, this may not work for you. They also weren't stingy with pillows. Happy with my stay. If I'm working in the area again, I will be back.

Jason Stein: It’s a budget hotel, so understand the building and rooms have some miles on them. But they’re clean, comfortable, the pool is indoors and well kept, and the continental breakfast is decent. But most of all, the staff was very welcoming.At one point they had to close the pool during a thunderstorm, and my daughter was disappointed. But when the storm passed the gentleman reopened it and even called our room to let us know. Totally made her day. If we have to come back to Evansville next year, this will be where we stay.

The “non-smoking section” is a complete joke, it’s literally just signs designating the areas, do they think the smoke will read the signs and not travel around the whole room? Secondhand smoke increases the risk of heart attacks, heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and other cancers by up to 30% among nonsmoking adults.needless to say I will not be returning here unless they separate the sections with a solid wall, however a smoke free policy would be the most effective way to provide protection from exposure to secondhand smoke. Dixie Shelton: We stayed March 31st departed April 2nd. Very disappointed. No fitted sheet was told they don't have fitted sheets only flat by the lady in the back office because the guy up front all he seemed to know was I don't know. We had no room service. We got 2 washcloths and 4 bath towels for 2 people for 2 nights. Called front desk multiple times never got an answer any time. We called after 10 p.m. several times n called again around 6 a.m. the next morning. No answer at anytime. I thought we would have a small refrigerator in the room. No to that as well. My husband was wanting to surprise me for my birthday. The surprise was on us. We spent $423.00 to be very disappointed. Would not recommend and will not be back. Casino was a joke. We tried to get help in the casino because this was our 1st time. They were rude did not help in any way. Got dismissed with a wave of a hand. Hotel n Casino staff needs a attitude adjustment. I work at a hotel. We would never get by with treating our guest the way my husband n I were treated. But Cavanaughs was wonderful. The staff could learn lessons from Cavanaughs. For $200 a night we thought there would be coffee and contintal breakfast. Even if u would have coffee n creamer would of been nice. That coffee in the room was not fit to drink. And even if it was there was not enough for 2 people. Could not get more because we could never get any assistance. Any time we needed something we had to go downstairs for assistance. As big as this hotel is, I really expected something different. The view is the only nice thing I can say. So the next time we want to get away we will go somewhere else and get better service better rate.
Bectar Braun: The security at this casino is a joke. I left my license and my bally card on one of the machines by accident. I left to go to atm down the street since their atm fee is so high. Once I noticed my license was gone. I drove back to the casino I was gone no longer than 15 mins. I went back to the machine and both were gone. I asked security to run cameras back and was told no because it wasn't a purse or cell phone. Someone can literally steal my identity now. I was due to check into the hotel by 6 pm and couldn't because they wouldn't locate the thief who stole my license.

Christie Griffitt: My best friend and I reunited after some pretty traumatic relationships.. We called and booked rooms for 2 nights. We did not anticipate the rain. When we arrived they had canceled our whole reservation and now it is sold out! The front desk was annoyed by us being here saying it will mess up their audit on their paperwork so she has to go back through and change the fact that we actually showed up. She would not even attempt to look or make the situation any better I even offered to pay for a suite. The room we have until 11:00 I believe that's 4 hours has no duvet on the beds or comforter the beds have no fitted sheets does not have any sort of mini fridge or a safe to put things in it is 1980s at best and the view is of the roof gravel. I'm thinking about jumping out!! We just wanted a nice girls weekend to get away. I would have felt better if she would have at least offered some meal tickets or looked at me and told me to go screw myself oh well as she said be out by 11:00 and we didn't get here until about 4:00 we did try but traveling from Tennessee in the rain took a little longer than we expected. My friend had bragged on this place and was excited to show me around her new hometown. It was heartbreaking to see her disappointment. I hate to go home today but it doesn't seem I have a choice.Noteworthy details: Hospitality was less than desirable room was hot because the air conditioner was off not sure if the carpet is clean or not doesn't appear to be no safe in the room for personals no mini fridge for a cold drink it does have a Bible though.

J N: The good: easily accessible off I-64, accommodating of late arrivals, room was clean and everything worked well.The negative: had a very loud IBEW meeting in the breakfast room that went until past 1am last night (this morning). Meeting participants then spilled out into the parking lot where loud talking and laughter continued until past 2. Not much sound proofing so it was difficult to sleep soundly until people finally dispersed.Food & drinks: Coffee, milk, juice, frosted flakes and oat cereals, oatmeal, waffles, white toast.

Beds are firm as one review stated but not a problem unless you must have a soft mattress to sleep well. Bathroom floor could have been swept a little better but ok otherwise. I would stay here again if in the area. Can't say that about some other places I've stayed recently.

Paul Marshall: The room was big but smells smoke inside the room. Called the housekeeping staff to take care of it but they were not able to speak English. Didn't understand what I was asking. Then I called the front desk to raise the issue and believe me it's awful. He was not able to understand simple English. Finally I had no choice but stay for 1 night. I am thinking about reporting to the local ICE team about undocumented workers here.

danielle waln: Your room smelt like smoke even tho its a smoke free room. There may have been someone smoking in a room down the hall and the smell got into our room. The bath tub was dirty. It had black splatter of something on the walls of the bathtub. The hair drier was dirty and had little hairs all over it. Also the breakfast wasnt very good. There was no protein options. When I told the guy at the front about our issues he didn't seem to care and wouldnt even look at me when i was talking to him. Very unprofessional.
Lisa Stokes: I went to their hotel march 2cd stayed for two days I wanted to get out and have an stress-free couple of days, but however Howard Johnson’s hotel had different plans for me and my family. The room was beautiful as always but there was 2 towels and I had four people with me, including me I didn’t think at the time that that was a big problem, but when we tried to get service to get us more towels they had a problem with that. And also we had to take out our own trash and throw it out in their dumpsters outside they were stingy on their bags. Was not wanting to give us another one and they tried to say we had a do not disturb signed on our door, but the whole time that sign was sitting on our TV stand. they also said they were sending up a maid to get us more towels and throw away our trash, but that never happened. and as sick as I am. my doctor told me to get a hotel to get out of my house cause I’m bedridden. Just wanted to get a hotel with me and my family so we can have a two nights of stress-free and not worrying about my lungs. The service wasn’t good at all. I just wanted to go home. Oh, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone. at least not with the big family.
