Shirley Humphrey: I was there recently to see the Fantasy of Lights display. It starts right after Thanksgiving and goes until January 1st every year. It costs $7 per car to drive thru and see it or u can take a horse drawn carriage ride for around $40/$50.

Todd Bredenkamp: Great paved bike/walking trail. Tennis courts are also marked for pickleball, but the courts are cracked. Wounderful pool is a great place for family outings. They have shelter houses and cottages for rent. The camping area is available. They have a really nice BMX track.Picnic area: Again, it's a nice place for family outings. There are plenty of picnic tables.

Jessica Spooner: We went to a wedding reception at the Discovery Lodge. It is one of the best locations I've been to for a wedding reception! The set up was perfect. It is very spacious. Plenty of room for kiddos to run around and not be in anyone's way. The whole area was clean and well managed.

H. S.: I've had two nieces get married in the discovery Lodge at burdette Park! It's an amazing Park in the building that they got married in was beautiful! I took my kids there to swim when they were little it's just a great place!
Norman Richards: Burdette Park is beautiful! My wife and I got married in 1980 and rented a shelter house for our reception. The rest of the family has been doing the same ever since. Burdette Park is a well maintained place from one end to the other and we are glad to have it in our community and we highly recommend it!!!

Miranda Grissom: We went to watch a high school girls soccer regional game. Washington Catholic played Mater Dei in the first game of the IHSAA 1A regional games. Washington Catholic lost 0-6 it was a tough loss but the field and surroundings were nice and enjoyable.

Hollie Newsham: Used to go here for walks, quite often. Now, it's overgrown with sticker bushes, and because of horrible trash can placement, there is trash everywhere. That's also due to poor choices by people. But, at any park I go to, it seems all the trash cans are dropped in one place. It's a shame there isn't more oversight for our parks.
chris davis: They need to cut down all the growth on the sides of the lake again so people can picnic. And make the paths around the lake better
Nicholas “Donkey punch” Gollnick: The perfect place after dark to take your gal is at the very end of the road by the ball diamonds. Its it’s pitch black so you can see cars coming in time to put your skivvies on and prey she is 18.. I’ve also smoked some of the best weed I’ve ever smoked there. I tell ya what if you are looking to party this place has it all after midnight…

Jenny Dossett: They have a building they rent out for party's, birthdays, weddings, holidays, etc. Handicap accessible,dog friendly throughout the park and set lands as long as they are on there leash with owner, other picnic tables and there are swings ,slides, Merry go round and other playground equipment to climb and stretch on. It's a fun time for the family.Dog-friendliness: Must be on a leash.
