Parkview Hospital Randallia: Emergency Room: what do users think?
Terri Bock: Wonderful & compassionate care from the time I arrived by ambulance. They were kind and efficient. It IS the emergency department, and although they were very busy, it was a reasonable wait time. Even the staff who didn’t attend to me were nice as we passed by, telling me to take care when I left.
Steven McComb: I took my wife to the ER last night for a Mental Health Crisis and they transferred her to Parkview Behavioral Health. They had her personal belongings locked up and security had the key, purse with credit cards and ID. My wife called me and said her belongings didn’t make to PBH.I called ER and they told me the security guard said he bagged them up and sent them to PBH as of today they have not been able to find anything this is really not good especially when my wife is having a mental health crisis.
Dimelo Waterson: If you've ever wanted to wait in pain while a man with cataracts shouts at every single person asking for cigarettes (to smoke indoors), assistance putting on his socks, and otherwise complains about everyone in the waiting room, this is the ER for you. Bonus points if you aren't white and want him to make weird racial comments. If you have kids, he will also comment on your parenting. When I mentioned him to the front desk as we left, I was told "that's not your problem" and "there's nothing I can do." They then called security, after he had been free to rant and harass other prospective patients for over an hour, unnoticed. The man was in a wheelchair with a full size garbage bag full of clothes, hooked up to oxygen, literally shouting across the room at people; it's not like he was being subtle. Not to mention he mentioned waiting for a psych eval and was in a gown on leads and oxygen, indicating he was a patient.Unsure which would be worse: abandoning a mentally ill patient in the waiting room without the front desk even knowing he was there, or allowing a disruptive mentally ill person into the waiting room without him being a patient. The waiting room is designed with a security office conveniently located inside it. Of course, no one was inside.
Michaela Miller: I'll give 2 stars because when I took my daughter they had someone who helped children acclimate to the ER.The male Dr (?) was very rude and forceful when my 3 year old was not wanting to open her mouth.I went in another time and I believe it was the same doctor gave this whole attitude like I was faking it because I had chest pain and my lungs hurt. I was recovering from possible bronchitis, having a panic attack and had not yet been prescribed anxiety meds, so when it ended up being just chest pain and I think he prescribed something for coughing, I just didn't care for the whole attitude I got from him.I had someone with me who kinda got that too.Even if it was just anxiety, it needs to be treated just like any other illness.
Jesse Holt: This is the indicated, dedicated, after-hours location for the Park Center Walk-In mental health clinic next door, which is why I came here; I wanted to go there first. Sadly, this ER does not appear to be equipped to handle non-suicide mental health emergencies. Before checking-in I asked a few questions of the intake nurse, indicated my severe need, was told there was no way to know how long I might wait to be seen, and given no opportunity to explain myself before being cut off, essentially told to save it for the doctor. I left instead.
Miriah Moyer: Nurses and aides were fantastic, however, I was still held there against my will. I went in for mental health help, and after an hour and a half I told them I wanted to leave and come back another day. I was told that due to some policy, they we're allowed to let me out until I've been cleared or seen. I was there for 5 hours before I was even seen. I wasn't allowed my phone, my purse, or anything else. The nurse on duty was so angry she went to go grab someone from their office to see me. I appreciate her, but still ridiculous.
Paige: Visited this location a little bit ago fairly late at night and was immediately put off upon my arrival. The male nurse who was working the front desk that I unfortunately did not get the name of was extremely rude (being short, rolling his eyes, not listening to me) and I should of knew right then and there to just to turn around and go to a different location and if I hadn’t been in very severe pain I would of. The staff was very disorganized and scattered. They didn’t run any blood work or tests on me just a urinalysis and just told me to set up an appointment with a doctor to do additional testing who couldn’t get me in for almost two weeks despite the fact that I was severely sick and in pain, which they charted. Honestly if it wasn’t for PA Heather I would just leave 1 star. Heather was really sweet and actually helpful. She checked up on me multiple times and informed me on a lot of things I didn’t know. Ultimately, it was a very unpleasant experience. It disappointed me so much because I always have good experiences through Parkview but this was just not the case. I left in the same exact condition I came in, just more frustrated and with less money. For an emergency healthcare facility, there is, for the most part, a big lack of urgency and care for their patients at this location. I sincerely urge you to go to a different location, especially later at night, if you are in need of emergency services.
Justin Thomas: Gave Benadryl for a seizure and released the patient. Will Not Return!
Dan Sorrell: Michelle the night nurse in the ER is awesome!!! Best nurse ever. Super nice! Thank you so much!! My arm is feeling so much better!
nightingale 2008: I am So disappointed last night. My baby vomited and she so weak but we have to wait 2 hours to see Dr .How can we call Emergency? If serious patient will die soon .
Anna: Was there for an emergency visit. Everyone was very nice and caring, I saw the doctor 2 min after i was brought in, had a CT scan about 10 min later. Can not express my gratitude enough for the staff and nurses who took care of me ❤️ thank you for what you’re doing.
Crystal Garris: Nurses and doctors saved my life a few times. Thank you for your empathy and hard work!
Tin Tin: I want to rate no star to ER for what I have experienced today. I am very upset since I standing in front of front desk. Today I run to ER because my baby was having severely allergic after drinking formula. I carry my baby and walk in to ER then I stop at the front desk. Two clerks were talking instead of asking me for how they can help. One of them don’t even know how to take blood pressure correctly. When they ask me to come again to take blood pressure for second time. That’s when I decide to walk out of lobby and headed to different hospital. I stop by Parkview Even tho I gave birth at different hospital because I strongly believed that Parkview has excellent service and put patient in first. But I was wrong when good hospital have poor staff. I just want to say that if you choose this career because you love to help others then put your heart and soul into it. Or otherwise you should go somewhere else. Please leave this opportunity for other that is willing to take over to help patients With excellent service.
Lakashia Veazey: Extremely slow. Waited 4 hours to be transferred to a room upstairs. Nurse forgot my medicine and they were having a great time laughing doing what they were supposed to do. Nurse MARY. Physician assistant MEGAN/Marcus. I would never recommend this hospital. They don’t put the patients first. They take their time. Terrible

Parkview Regional Medical Center Emergency Room: what do users think?
Katie Mainz: Was my first time ever going to an emergency room, and I always just assumed you got to see a real doctor while in there but I guess not! The nurse practitioner and physicians assistant just weren’t the same as a real doctor, they just think they are. Got horrible care and wasted my time and money. Lesson learned.
Michele Olivarez (Shelly): I came in with swelling on my face, chills.I was seen by the doctor where he said he wanted to do an ultrasound as he said looked like a abscess. Once he did that and confirmed it was indeed a abscess he went ahead and used a scalpel to make a couple incision marks and squeezed a bit of drainage out not all of it but some, I felt some relief.I was given some antibiotics in emergency after a few the pressure came back and the chills got worse, teeth chattering chills mind you. I had used the gown to cover my legs and my winter coat was zipped fully and my 12yr old gave me her hoodie to cover me as well. Not one time did anyone offer to bring a blanket. I mentioned that bc of this abscess on my cheek, it’s made it hard to talk, drink and eat. No IV , no blood work nothing was done. When I finally the nurse again I told her I was worse (this point I’ve got chills so bad and the pressure of this thing was so bad that I was in tears. She said she’d let the doctor know. Finally he comes back I told him.He literally just sends me home with antibiotics and high strength pain medication. Not sure what happened to this hospital..But I literally came in bad and left worse..He didn’t even dress the wound….So here I am at Lutheran. In 2hrs they got I’ve started, offered me a blanket to keep me warm, started an IV with a STRONGER antibiotic bc the kind parkview proscribed isnt the great for the condition this abscess is in.5hrs - they decided to admit me to WATCH the swelling go down and make Sure it all get better.Rather than send me out.I’ll never go back to parkview..First picture is what I walked into parkview looking like.Second is right after being released from there
Alex Banks: Half an hour wait in the ER Lobby Not To bad then taken to a room where have now been waiting 2+ Hours and still Noone not even a nurse!! Hit the call light and nothing! Ridiculous.
D Hicks: I have had the best experiences with Parkview hospitals. Both the location in Wabash, and this location to see a specialist. I was seen quickly, had surgery the same day, and was treated extremely well by all the staff I interacted with. If I was a permanent resident, rather than just working, I would make a Parkview hospital my primary care location. Awesome work from everyone!
Fred Baer: 1 1/2 hour wait. Parkview North Emergency Room Hospital wrote down the wrong leg for Ultrasound. The doctor had to correct that before searching for blood clots. Tested for flu without telling me the results. The room I was in had a dirty floor. My daughter would not use the shared bathroom because it was so dirty. The nurse kept popping in asking did the Ultrasound doctor come yet? Did the doctor see you, yet? The doctor never came back and I was released after 2 hours in the emergency room.
Miss c Xx: People usually go to the ER cause they need immediate care..you know a emergency. The folks here will leave you waiting for hours while you vomit all over yourself! With blood sugar 447 and blood pressure 147/102 still they take there sweet time. This ER and its staff care about NO ONE!! WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS!! THEY DESERVE IT!!!!!
Aaron Hawkins: I was happy with the staff and my waiting time. The doctor was not much help I was treated much better in BIG CITIES for sure. Here they give you a Band-Aid and a Tylenol and send you out the door with a good luck I do kinda take that back cause they did admit me two times and spent a week each time. The other hand fulls should have got the same treatment but did not even get a chance. I don't get these Dr's iv had different ones every time
Sarah Taylor: PA Jon was very understanding and kind. Travel nurse Hannah was so attentive an immediately put us at ease. Very thankful for their care!
Myan Green: I’m pregnant and went in because I was having some very scary symptoms. I checked in and was seen immediately. The staff and doctors were all very kind and thorough with me, answering all my questions. I appreciated the prompt care from everyone from start to finish.
Walt Yenser: I have been to the ER twice for an ultrasound marked STAT for checking for a blood clot, and still didn't get it done. Lexie at the desk couldn't understand why I couldn't get it done either. She did everything she could. So if you need to be soon, don't go here. Not happy.
Nicole Henderson: Not really a fan when doctor says i need to be on monitor whole time im getting iv meds bc of type med it is....then at one point get moved to diff room in er...new nurse...and then she just shuts it off so ir doesnt beep and meds still going in....why is a doctors.order not being followed and been waitimg for hours for a room smh
Ruth Templin: Doctors and nurses were very courteous they listened they checked things out it's out I felt I was in very good hands
Robyn Henderson: Yesterday i was treated for blood clots in my legs. Er dr Williman was great, ct lady, ultrasound lady, check in guy who did my vitals and roomed me was awesome to. Best experience ive had there yet. In the past it was it or miss and more on the miss side. But glad i went w parkview north
Shaun Solliday: Would be zero stars... I've gone to the ER twice now once for my back qnd most recently for my chest.. first time was told nothing was wrong only spasms, just to get rechecked couple days later at Dupont only to find I have a slipped disc... now this time with my chest again said nothing wrong, felt like broken ribs in chest. So again couple days go by and I go to Lutheran ER that do same tests and tell me I have Costochondritis and a hairline fracture.... obviously Parkview has no idea what they are doing and only want money and not ti help those in true need
Chadrick Kilgore: Long waits then failures/ shard to communicate anything - love doctor detest communication or lack there of
red leaves falling: I checked in on a Sunday afternoon with pain and tightness in my chest. After checking in they took me to a quick triage area where they took my blood pressure which was 165/115. Then they sent me to the large waiting room. People were checking in admitting that they tested positive for Covid just a few days prior. I was expected to sit within 6 feet of these people for over an hour. I noticed all other patients received a hospital bracelet but I did not. People who checked in after me with less severe conditions (I was sitting next to the check in desk and could hear everything) were called back before me. I ended up leaving after an hour and a half. They called me to say they were ready to register me for my visit. I don’t even know what that means. This ER is not the place to go if you have a true emergency. I went to a nearby hospital and was scene immediately due to my symptoms. Absolutely ridiculous!
christina robey: This place has the best care I have in a ling time. Everyone is very nice and always there too do there best too take care of you. Thank you too everyone here.
J: Awful experience. I'm not even going to bother going there unless I'm obviously fighting to stay alive.
Bill Brown: Good caring people great care and service top shelf
B F: Doctors and staff couldn't see a 2 yr old in real distress if it hit them in the face. Ended up having to go to another hospital for a diagnosis and so far 5 day hospital stay staff here acted like we were crazy and they were lazy in doing anything.
Lyn S: Worst hospital ever.

Dupont Hospital - Emergency Room: what do users think?
pete agr: 1 star is generous but don't have the option to give 0. I took my wife to the emergency with 103 fever, no iv fluids, no tests, just a rapid covid/influenza. They gave my wife ibuprofen and 1 hour later they said the results are negative and they discharged her with 102 FEVER saying she is fine. The doctor was horrible,he was lazy and no interest for my wife's well-being. 2 days later spiked a fever of 104.5f. Took her to Parkview. They admitted her and ran several tests and got diagnosed with pneumonia. They have a pulmonologist and an infectious disease doctor assigned She is on IV fluids and two different antibiotics, fever is controlled. We will most definitely not go back to Dupont.
Karley Sizemore: I’m not the type to ever complain but the staffing was very rude and unprofessional and the nursing staff did a terrible job taking care of my fiancé I do not recommend this hospital and they will be hearing from me very soon
Jill Thiele: We have been waiting over 4 hours to be seen by the Dr. My daughter has abdominal right sided pain. No scans have been ordered. Only blood work has been done. Saw the Dr for 30 seconds. And she ran out of the room. I checked with the nurse 3 times and all I get is the dr is stuck in a room. REALLY!!!! DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG TO ORDER A XRAY OR SCAN. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
Anonymous Anonymous: Beware of Nurse Seth, he probably knows nursing, vitals, bloodwork, etc. but his bedside manner is just horrible, he is aggressive & seemingly doesn't enjoy interacting with patients, with zero compassion.
Michael Conner: Front desk literally ignored my call after I called the first time. Very rude . Hung up on me aswell so I didn’t even get to ask what I needed to know. Absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker JennRay: At Dupont Hospital currently with leg pain, possible blood clot in the leg. Been waiting for an ultrasound tech for 2hrs.- The nurse has been nice and given my 5yr old juice and a snack. He and the waiting room receptionist have been the only acceptable portions of this hospital. The nurses name was Timothy.- the registration person was very standoffish and not warm the first time in the room. She returned after I located information and was nicer.- the doctor didn't introduce himself, asked 2 questions to which he barely waited for a response before looking at my leg for all of 45 seconds and then leaving.- The ultrasound tech was nice once she got into the roomI am entirely disappointed and almost angry at the horrible experience I am having my very first time coming to Dupont hospital.I went to the nurses station to inquire about the timing of the tech arriving. She made a call however, didn't even bother to walk across the hall to my room to tell me. She waited til I walked out of the room to assist my son in the bathroom to flippantly tell me "the tech is here, we're just waiting for her to come up hon".Had to ask a second time for an estimate of the tech's arrival to which the same nurse expressed no urgency or care for the fact that I've been waitingHorrible service by MOST of the staff I've encountered. I moved to Fort Wayne 6 months ago and this is the very first hospital visit I've had. I will NEVER come back here and I will recommend that no one else does either.** the doctor's name was Dr Stahee(not sure of spelling). When I asked his name, he said he told me when he first came in.
Danielle Baum: UPDATE! ** Lisa called me today to discuss my experience and was wonderful to speak with! They do take these reviews very seriously and ensure that patients are taken care of properly. The staff does review and make improvements based on patient experiences. I cannot express how great is was to speak with Lisa to make sure no one goes through an experience like I did. I wanted to take the time to adjust my review because I have never had a company call me to address issues like this. Lisa, I hope Dupont Hospital knows just how great an employee you are! If I am ever needing to go back to the ED I will be giving Dupont a visit. Thank you again Lisa for listening to my concerns. *** please note she did not ask me to change my review***I will never go to this ER ever again!!! I walked in and my first reg flag should have been how rude the check in was. The 2nd red flag was the nurse Seth that brought me back to the room rushing me back there when there was only one other patient in the ED. Wasn’t even fullygowned and wanted back in proceeded to pulled my hand away from my abdomen that was in severe pain just to put my ID band on. The 2nd nurse blew out 3 of my veins trying to get the IV in, Seth came back in and got it. Finally after an hour I received pain meds. Dr. Miller came in barely said anything just asked what was causing pain, did not come near me once. Ordered a CT, Ultrasound and blood work. When I was in tears as the first 2 rounds of pain meds did not work they refused to give me anything else after nearing the 4 hour mark. So after about 5 hrs I was told to leave the room and they offered zero assistance leaving the hospital. None of them had any bedside manors, beyond rude! Avoid this place at all costs!
Adrienne Hensley: Took my daughter to the ER and we waited over an hour to be seen. My daughter had chest pains and shortness of breath. They took patients back before us that had just gotten there. We ended up leaving and going to Parkview instead. We were in and out there faster than our wait time at Dupont.
Casey Richardson: The doctors and nurses were amazing here.
Billy “Bubba”: Went in with facial pain was told it was a impacted ear. Was givin nothing for it and was charged 1,400. This place was and is pathetic!
Gene Fahl: Dr.Perez has no business being anywhere near people who need help. She is a rude and terrible person. People in need do not need a human as souless as her trying to help them. Then she denies medicine to a child in need because you question her. She is Not god.
Home Thierry: Dupont sales your debt to collection agencies and do not care how those agencies treat you. If we all stop going for service with their ridiculous prices and how they treat the sick we can change the way of medicine. One day we will all have to see God and explain how we treated each other.
aakash shah: For 4 min long ultrasound test they charged me $4049.Absolutely Ridiculous..!!!
alley everett (alleyxo): i had to go yesterday for a unusual high heart rate for a 15 year old, both of my nurses were really sweet & patient with me as i’ve never had some of those tests done. they both deserve a raise, both only had to stick me one time and it was quick and painless. it was scary but they really helped calmed me down. my first nurses last name was bailey, she’s really nice and i loved her ❤️

Lutheran Hospital - Emergency Room: what do users think?
Robert Robinson: On 4/4/2023 @ 9:00pm to 4/5/2023 @1:02amI took my roommate to ER for broke toe they didn't do anything that Lutheran Hospital for yeah so we left @1:30am
Ron Campos: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Worst ER IN THE CITY!!! Waiting time is very long! This has happened several times in the past. Once waited 7hours never was seen even with borderline heart attack. Today we Had to leave and go to Parkview ER. GOT IN FAST!!!
Helen Powers: Went to ER. Was seen. Was notified at 1215 am that I was being discharged. Was still sitting in room 23 at 140 am waiting to go home. Very poor coordination.
Jonathan Wilder: The ER took great care of my son this morning.
Jonathan Balasa: We went to Lutheran ER and were quickly taken to a room. We received compassionate care from every person who took care of us, from check-in to check-out. Nurses and doctors kept us moving as quickly as possible through testing and diagnosis. We are thankful for people who are doing their jobs with excellence in the midst of universal staffing challenges. Thank you to an amazing team!
mallory lebamoff: I've held off on a bad review because they did save my daughter's life 6 years ago, however this ER is NOT what it was then... Patients are waiting for HOURS, I've even seen and entire DAY! Suffering, being neglected... the nurses and doctors are trying their hardest but clearly are over worked and understaffed. Lutheran, treat your employees better so they can treat their suffering clients right. That or SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!! You are failing people. It's so sad.
Melissa Kay: I want to recognize Ashley in Registration. How I appreciate a vulnerable time for me at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne, in the emergency department. Her ability to guide me how to apply for health benefits and willingness to help where she can. She showed kindness and built a meaningful professional experience providing comfort, honesty, dedication.Thank you Ashley!!
Amela: Absolutely horrible experience. My mom checked in at 6pm for elevated BP all day 202/120, chest pain, dizziness and arm tingling. She was called back at 830pm for vitals and EKG and then sent back out to the lobby. We waited until 1130pm to be called back into an exam room. They took her vitals again and she was hooked up to a heart monitor. Again, we wait for an additional 2 hrs before the PA Ben comes in. No bedside manner whatsoever. He ordered blood tests and a head CT. Again, we wait an additional 2 hrs for results. We left at 4am.. to make patients wait this long is ridiculous. Also, the blonde girl at the registration desk is rude as hell. Get off your phone and actually help patients out. There's no reason to be rude.
Jon: I do not recommend Lutheran Hospital. They failed me!I went in there unable to walk, unable to stand, unable to sit. The only relief I could get from my pain was lying on my right side. I was in the waiting room for an hour and a half lying on the floor moaning. Once I was seen by the ER nurses, (rude and unprofessional) they could not give me anything to lie on. I ended up lying on the floor in the triage room which was dirty. One of the nurses even told me "I wouldn't put my head too close to that floor".A Doctor evaluated me and released me unable to walk, stand or sit with a regiment of pain medication. The next day I went to Parkview Hospital. Parkview did not know what was wrong but sent me to Fort Wayne Orthopedics for an MRI. The doctors at Fort Wayne Orthopedics immediately got me an MRI, read the MRI and because they are part of the Lutheran Network, sent me back to Lutheran to be admitted to have a laminectomy procedure immediately. The laminectomy turned into a discectomy during the procedure. I had blown out two disks in my lower back putting my handicapped mother to bed, which I explained to the doctors and nurses in the first place. The surgeon told me afterward that I was in jeopardy of paralyzing myself with any wrong move. It took Six days for me to get into surgery from the onset of my back injury. So, for six days I could have become a paraplegic. They should have known to look at my back even though all my pain was in my left leg. or at least done more testing and not released me unable to move.Once I was admitted the nurses' upstairs were great before and after my surgery, that is the only reason I gave two stars. The procedure went well and I am now fully recovered.
Jay Voigt: 3 hours so far. Brother in from out of town. Back issues. Still in pain, n relief. Xrays, ultrasound done. Still waiting. ERs are such a corporation anymore
Jason Schroeder: Very horrible experience. Waited 4 hours for a CT scan for abdominal pain with little interaction. The bill came and it was over $11,000. Seriously if you can go somewhere else it is worth a try. Being charged over $2000 an hour to sit in a bed is outrageous. No surgery. Literally sent home and told to take ibuprofen for a week and see if it gets better.
Trish Renner: Wait time in the emergency department is RIDICULOUS!! people go to ER because they need help ASAP that's why people don't go to redi meds! When the ER has a 3 hour wait to be seen there's a problem!! A person's health needs to be urgent and something has to change in this ER!! We ended up leaving and have no plans to ever return. Will take our emergencies to another ER who won't make people wait for care!
Rachel Gearhart: I've been with Lutheran hospitals and physicians since 2008 and it keeps getting worse
abhishek bhambhani: If I had choice I will give them 0 stars twice we had to rush my wife to ER because she had hard time breathing and was dehydrated needed iv urgently both times we had to wait like 5 hours what’s the point of having urgent care no one should come here
Jeana Moe: Even though I had to wait, staff kept me updated and checked on me periodically.
Haley Aker: The nursing staff is so rude they do not listen to anything you have to say..
Bailey Gibson: Should have read the reviews before bringing my fiance here. The doctor came in, didn't listen to a word we said, told us he wasn't going to run tests for any of the concerns we had. Then a nurse had him pee in a cup and leave it on the counter. It's been 4 1/2 hours.. the pee is still sitting here. They haven't done anything. Apparently we're getting a CT scan at some point. It's not busy here at all. Staff standing around everywhere, but none of them seem to be in a hurry to do anything...
Cindy Bridges: I went to Er at 930pm.Not busy at all..They said they were going to do an xray at 930pm and at 1130pm heard very loud laughing from employees and kept hearing like a party going on in the ER where patients are in pain and waiting. I heard enough. I buzzed the hand held remote numerous times and just kept hearing the employee party .I needed something for pain.Wasnt comfortable there at all. I went home where I had my own Tylenol. I am switching to Parkview
Paul Goings: Got to be the worst medical facility in the world. Been here 6 hours with chest pain and trouble breathing. I read your other weak responses to the multitude of complaints. They are grossly inadequate. Lutheran sucjs!!!
Heather Smith: I’m currently sitting in the ER with my mom who has been here 5 hours waiting in excruciating pain. She even told them, 10/10 on pain scale, throwing up repeatedly, and on heavy pain meds. She has gotten blood drawn and that’s it. I’ve asked multiple times for even a bed in the hallway she could lay down on. She has a chronic disease that they have not asked about at all. If I could leave and take her to Parkview I would, but she has to go here or DuPont. This is the first review I think I’ve ever written, and I’m writing because this is completely unacceptable. There are probably 20 other patients in this waiting room, sitting here for the same amount of time or longer. While I understand that there is triage and other issues at hand, there has been no movement by the staff to even attend to the patients in the waiting room, other than basic vitals every hour. The staff has been kind, but something’s gotta give. The photo posted is from 10 minutes ago stating the Er wait time is 17 minutes.
tom JACKSON: Over 7 hours on the ER have not been seen yetWould just love a bottle of water

Lutheran Downtown Hospital - Emergency Room: what do users think?
Eva Keplinger: One of the nurses was really rude and their wait times when a mother and child come in to be seen and they are more worried about the child who isn't in pain like the mother and make the mother wait 2 hours before getting any kind of treatment at all worst patient care I have ever had
phyo phyoaung: I went there several times never faced anything like this, we went there with kids and we were taken the vital rooms and stayed there for almost 3 hours. The kids fallen asleep on the floor and when I asked them if there were no rooms at all because we had to be in the vital room, I was told that no it’s full on the weekend and I saw several rooms empty from the time we went in until the time we went out.
Sarah Hodges: I have to say this ER is beautiful and immaculate. Very efficiently ran by the staff as well; I’m thoroughly impressed! I was able to check in online which made everything so much more simpler and fast. This was my first visit here and my daughters nurse was Morgan, who was nothing less than superb, and our physician was Dr. Leo who was absolutely amazing! He was quick with regards to treatment and his bedside manner was top notch. I was so pleased with him I decided to switch my pcp to a doctor he recommended; he gained my trust THAT quickly! Even the insurance registrar was beyond pleasant! Thank you to all for the amazing care provided to my child in our time of need. 10/10

Lutheran ER Statewood: what do users think?
Adri Melton: A little concerned about one of the Drs there. Does not actually take into consideration THE PATIENT when prescribing pain meds. I went in January with severed SI joints, no xrays even tho I asked, and was told to use ibuprofen. Boyfriend gets hit by a car 1 month later, same Dr tells him to take ibuprofen. Did no tests, no blood work for either. But charged $$$$$ for both. Also took hours for no reason
Mike Anderson: Wow no wait and fast there was 4 nurses doing 10 things all at once between them and the doctor had my problem diagnosed in no time. Thank you. Mike.
Shannon Freon: This is not where you want to end up in the middle of the night, but the staff was great, including Dr. Stanek. We were in and out in no time. Thank you.
Carrissa Smith: They were fast waiting area was clean rooms were clean xray room also clean they did what they had to do and I was in and out I appreciate everyone thanks....
Austin B: Awful experience.
volksmark 1: We're fortunate to have this facility about a stone's throw from our home, and we've been there on more than one occasion. Staff has always been professional and courteous. On our recent visit they were very busy, but managed to get a small wound cleaned and stitched up in little over an hour. Dr. Traylor was kind and friendly - nurses were busily taking care of business. Sorry to hear that they are likely moving to a new facility soon.
Samantha Knapp: Took my daughter here in September due to it being a holiday and nothing was open. The care was great and we were in and out. Now I’m dealing with a bill not being covered. I was told at check-in that they took my daughters insurance coverage before proceeding with care. Now I’m getting a bill that is not being covered. I’ve tried to contact billing only to be transferred to an outsource company who I had a hard time understanding. I specifically asked about her coverage so this wouldn’t happen, now I’m stuck with a bill not being covered. I would like to talk to someone that could help me, not to be transferred to another state/country, who I can’t understand. This is very frustrating.
Kishawn Thompson: If you wanna die definitely come here. refused me a Covid test blood pressure was 320 doc gave me melatonin thanks for the experience !
Kiesh Kiesh: I have been here before and have been well taken care of. Went in recently for a BP of 163/123 and jaw pain. Doctor came into room with an exasperated expression and tone asking do I have jaw pain. I told him high blood pressure as well. He told me "stroke level BP is different from everyone, you should go see your primary physician. We don't usually give anything for BP here." Mind you the on call physician told me to go to the hospital. Needless to say from that moment, I knew I would be getting no help. I left with a BP of 175/119. The service was tacky. I work in Healthcare. I was literally thanked that day by a pt. for saving her life. Imagine going into a hospital with the possibility of losing yours because of negligence. 0 out of 5 stars. As an African American this is why we rarely go to doctors, they don't look at out pain or ailments the same because of what they are taught we can endure, forgetting we are human. Very dehumanizing experience.
Tamica Nelson: EXCELLENT CARE DR STANEKAND MANN GOT ME FEELING BETTER
Marvin Solares: Came here on 6/14 around 10:30pm and was met with the rudest service I’ve had in a while. The blonde lady with glasses (only descriptors I have) at the front desk handed me a face mask with the heaviest hand. She told me I’d receive a call after my visit to provide info about my insurance. She called TWICE while I spoke to the doctor after a 40 minute wait, and came into the room afterwards. The lady asked if I’d received a call, to which i responded yes and she responded with “as I said at the front window” with such a nasty attitude. It seemed to me it was the end of her shift as I saw her leaving the building shortly after I did. These are the people you hire, Lutheran? People who take out their frustrations on patients cause they can’t wait to get their shift over with? The doctor was also quite blunt when speaking. The other woman at the front desk and the nurses were very polite.I suggest Lutheran takes these reviews as feedback rather than reading material and actually uses it to improve their employees’ patient service.
Alison Downing: I was in agony and treated like I was lying. The doctor even pushed on my surgery incisions really hard even though they were only 3 days old.
Chelsea Robinson: Had amazing service when my daughter appendix ruptured in Oct. So when I got sick this last week we went back. Went on Sun and pretty much sat there. No blood work done nothing. Gave me medicine and sent me on my way...... Still felt horrible Monday and so went back to give a shot. Sent me home after 1 bad of IV fluids but nothing changed they pretty much just put me to sleep..... Called my family Dr on Tuesday morning with an update and she sent me to Dupont where when I got here I was almost septic and very very sick. It's Thursday and I'm still in the hospital. Not feeling much better. From what I have sent is this could of all been prevented had they taken the time SUNDAY vs shoving me out the door!! Thankful for ER Dr at Dupont on Tuesday!!!!
Tisha Knott: I was fainting, shaky and scared. I was taken to Statewood and I had the best care ever, they were fast to get me in, a team of 3 were all working together to get me gowned, the leads on for EKG, asking medication questions, I was immediately put at ease that they were truly there to help me. 2 hrs later when I was discharged I had a clear diagnosis and they got me back on my feet and feeling well again. I am so blessed and grateful they were there when I needed them! Some of the best healthcare professionals I've encountered in my 40+ years! Thank you, Statewood team! (my husband thanks you too :)
Curtis B: I came in early morning around 630 I had almost every symptom of Covid the doctor did not want to do a Covid test even though I showed symptoms a doctors oath is to do no harm my Covid symptoms were immediately dismissed as an upper respiratory infection I later went to Parkview walk in and was tested to find out it was Covid I will never come back here and will tell everyone I know that this is not a place to go if you’re expecting great care
Crystal Graham: Dose this clinic do Xrays? I have called and asked and also read the reviews and they state they do when I called the person who answered said no
Alyssa Jackson: They did the right tests I feel like but the er doctor was rude and made me extremely uncomfortable to come back if I needed to. And the end when they couldn't tell me what was causing my sharp chest pains and I was asking questions, with every single one he was taking an irritated deep breath as I started to ask them. Won't be going back.
Brent Vaughn: Did not like the doctor he was rude
Mr. Moreno: Little on the expensive side but nice staff good physicians and was able to quickly get in to get my niece treated
Peanut Head: I came in wondering if this was a walk in clinic as well as being an ER because those do exist. This was closest to my home when I searched walk in clinic so I went. As soon as I walked in there was a nurse or receptionist watching Netflix on a computer facing away from the window. I stood for a few minutes while she watched until she noticed I was there. Then she decided to just stare at me and not move. I was wondering if she was gonna wheel over and check me in or at least say hello. She didn't, she just stared at me until I said hello. She never moved any closer to the window away from the computer on the opposite side, she had a mask on and began talking, saying good morning. I made it clear that I couldn't hear her and scrunched my face and put my ear up to the glass. She still did not move and whispered " do you have an emergency?" And I asked if this was also a walk in because I had just really messed up my shoulder but It wasn't urgent care bad. She looked at me again for a few seconds and then whispered "this is emergency only and I'd have to go to another clinic." Whatever, I was more than willing to get out of there. Luckily I wasn't in any actual emergency because I would never recommend to come here. She didn't seem alert or ready to help at all. Poor service.
Shana Ronique: Nurses and X-Ray tech…EXTREMELY nice! Dr. Taylor however, his bedside manner was LACKING. He was brash in delivery and I felt very rushed. Asked him about paperwork (I came in for a work related injury) and his response, “I don’t do big packets of paper, we’re in a middle of a pandemic.” Not sure what that meant or why it mattered. (It was a sheet and a half of paperwork to fill out)
