Johnny Appleseed Park: what do users think?
Robert Fournier: We have stayed numerous times and have enjoyed every one. Going back this year!! Great City park.
Michael Harding: Very quiet, relaxing parking lot right on river. Will be checking on the camping there
Patricia McReynolds: Difficult to find, loved seeing his gravesite.
Tabitha Ketchum: Kinda blah....maybe it was just this season but bathrooms were locked, kids had to pee and that was the biggest problem for me. Where were the city workers but kids had a little fun with themselves and the snow. Will definitely check it out during summer.Playground: Small but it was nice, for smaller children.
Hailey Perkins: Little weird if a parking set up but beautiful spot.
Terri Lessard: Great dog park. Two large fenced in areas. Plenty of parking.Restrooms: Clean and fairly close see e to dog park.Dog-friendliness: It's a dog park! Poop bags and disposal areas available.
Alissa Doehla: Beautiful little park. Small but fun kid's play structure. Dog parks. Campground. Area along the river. Nice spot in FW!
Andrea Carlson DVM: Lovely peaceful campground!
Joseph Pearce: Great little park. The grounds and bath houses were extremely well maintained. The staff was phenomenal. The RV spots were nice and big and easy to get in and out of. Being right beside Johnny Appleseed’s grave was really neat — I never realized he was a real person until we stayed here.
Jennie Hunt: The playground is cool! And there is a dog park there too. Also scenic lookouts of the bridge and old filtration plant.
William Bennett: Definitely stay there again. Great city camping.
Bill Patterson: Well kept area. There is a nice turn around that just barely allowed our 35ft. fifth-wheel around. - CAUTION - There were some low lying branches that took off our front sidelight lens covers.and A very close tree/branch along the upper inside corner - CAUTION - SWING WIDE
Ingrid Mello: Up on a hill, kind of hard to find. I parked in the coliseum parking lot and walked up.
Michael Garber: Great venue for the Johnny Appleseed Festival. Lord of vendors and period demonstrations.
Natalie Wright: Small for camping but a nice park for walking
Marta Hayes: I’ve been here a week and have paid for a month and I can say that if they gave refunds I’d ask for my refund and leave the same day I don’t have the prettiest or most expensive camper and one of the park host husband has made me feel the poorest and dirties I’ve ever felt my whole life I will not be returning till I have a camper that is from the 2000’s 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😭 I have four you g children and do not appreciate being spoken to as if my dollar has a different value then there’s
Robert Howell: It was exactly as described. We learned some the history of Johnny and were able to give him our thanks for the hard work he devoted his life to.We will return during the next event held here.
James Burrows: I've booked this place before, but since last year, it has gone down hill. First, I can not be upset with the location or SOME of the camp hosts, they are great. But when you come back from work and find items from your storage area sitting outside and water lines have been pulled to the point that it cracked the flange leading into the camper, and the bucket the water line was in is now missing. It makes you wonder. Also the first night, the smell of pot being smoked was so strong I had to close my camper up, it seems as though nobody cares what goes on around here. When reporting to staff about the water line and the missing bucket, I got a serious attitude from "Rick", the husband of the campgrounds host, "what do you want me to do about it" in a rough begrudgingly tone..So, keep it in mind that this place has a few issues. I spend 40 weeks out of the year in my TT and this is the first time I have ever had an issue, and rude attitude from a host. Will I return here next time when work brings me back this way? Depends on who is the host and I will be looking at every review to see what others think.
Todd Brink: Nice park! It's nice that it's downtown Ft Wayne, that you can be close to all the restaurants, bars, and things happening around town.
julia j: Only positive memory I have of growing up in this horrible city.
pinkE fam vlogs: It was a great and fun family experience I will be doing this for years and years to come with my three children thank you for a wonderful time guys

Camp Red Cedar: what do users think?
Jeff Rice: I bartended a wedding here. It is an awesome venue
Natalie Waite: Went to a wedding reception here and it was really cool....
Chris Restivo: There for a wedding... It was awesome! Highly recommended!
Myles Gerardot: Amazing place to hold an event. The setting is stunning. The only way to make it better is to add fountains in the ponds and light them up in the evenings. Oh, snow peeked mountains would be nice but we are in northeren Indiana...lol
Randy Alomar: Awesome venue for a wedding!!!!
Molly Rao: Absolutely gorgeous and so many great programs
Brianna Goldsmith: Very nice and clean park
Tammy Jones: Wonderful! Such a beautiful camp!!!!
Dana B: Best camp for all kids—neurotypical and neurodiverse!! Beautiful, clean, amazing staff, and so many enjoyable activities for kids!!
The Awesome Kids: My daughter loves horse camp. They go above and beyond for all kids.
Cathy Wilson: Great camp with great staff!!!! They also have beautiful facilities!
Carolyn Schaadt: Amazing!!
Odie Culver: If I could give it zero stars right now, I would........
Arthur Wenzel: Excellent updated facilities. Must see to believe. Summer day camp or week long camps are available. Horse lovers will enjoy this place.
bryce fox: Had never been here. Pretty cool place to visit.
Jenn MacDonald: The employees were so helpful with our homeschool field trip. Our class is reading the Narnia series and once we started A Horse and His Boy, we knew we needed a horse field trip.Camp Red Cedar was so accommodating with our group. They had enough employees to exactly accommodate our group. The kids who wanted were able to pet and brush the horses. Some of the kids wanted to ride and some didn't.We were hoping for a bunch of educational information and had prepared for it. Instead the field trip focused on riding more than the horses themselves. Other than that, it was great!Thank you for an enjoyable field trip, Red Cedar. One mom’s comments:“It was amazing, thank you. My son went into the trip slightly apprehensive, but he ended up loving it and now he *needs* a horse. 😉 Horses were the bond that my dad and I shared, and as soon as I stepped into the barn and smelled the wonderful barn smells, it took me back. At one point I had tears streaming down my face. (I'm getting emotional again, I guess I'm hormonal today.) Beautiful memories, sad thoughts, unfulfilled longings. Thank you for that.”
Zach Rice: Wonderfull place with a great mission!!
Will G: Great place and super nice to folks with disabilities!! They have steller facilities too. Honestly a top notch organization.
Sandra Barrand: It could have been a bit more organized so that getting in was a bit quicker.Over all this was a fun event
Brenda Vaught: Very disappointed with the egg drop!!! No organization and alot of kids went home crying!!! My kids didn't even get one egg!! Will not recommend anyone going to this!!!
Teresa Vardaman: We Love Camp Red Cedar

Camp Timber Lake: what do users think?
Justin Edwards: We did the zip tour and had an absolute blast. Our guides Matt and Sarah were extremely professional and we felt safe at all times - even though I’m terrified of heights. The scenery was beautiful - the challenges were exciting - the zips had incredible speeds and views. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Kevin Snyder: First time but won't be the last.Granddaughter wants to come back for the zip lines and we will bring our golf cart next time and stay longer. Nice trails through the woods and around the lake👍
Cloe Nolen: Such a nice place! We went here in the fall and it was gorgeous. Spacious sites with an awesome view of the lake.Dog-friendliness: Mostly dog friendly. Just don't bring an animal that will cause problems, not because they have issues with it but because you should be conscious of other people
Sarah Dugger: Clean, beautiful, peaceful, everything I look for in a campground! Some of the best shower facilities I've seen at a campground. They maintain a family friendly atmosphere at all times. Campgrounds, no matter how beautiful, are only as good as their people, Camp Timber Lake is full of good people and good leadership. I stayed from April til October while working in Fort Wayne and could not be happier!
Chris Archer: Nice quiet campground. We camped on the lake at an electric only site. Great sunrises and sunsets. The fishing was good. The staff was so very friendly. The shower house was modern and clean. It is my go-to campground for this area.
Matilde Palomino: Siempre me encanta este lugar es muy tranquilo para descansar
Andrew Prichard: We had a Wonderful time camping here. Great Campground. Caught 8 little bass on topwater had a ball. Will Definitely return to camp.
Kyle Fike: Playground: Perfect for the little ones!Restrooms: Are nice and clean.Dog-friendliness: The dogs seem happy to be outdoors herePicnic area: Nice size picnic area!
Jeff Logsdon: Beautiful place peaceful and quiet.
Lisa Omolo: You can zipline across the lake, fish, walk trails, rent a boat, rent a golf cart and more. I went to relax so all I wanted was a fire on one side and the lake on the other (They had that too). The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because of the cabin price. We went on a weekday. We had 5 teenagers and three adults. The cabin sleeps 4-5 people which I knew that. However, there are no refunds after booking. The weather called for thunderstorms. The two teen boys planned to pitch a tent out back. Because of the forecast we ended up renting a second cabin. I asked if it could be discounted but they would not do that. Also, since there are no refunds they may consider Mounting a TV on the wall for those prices.
tbeeman2: We was right on water super nice for fishing swim area was good clean sand and different from fishing pondOnlu complain is no metal over fire pits to cook food on showers were really nice
Henry Lew: Nice RV Park. Everyone was friendly
ruth dills: Great spot just outside the hustle and bustle of suburbia. Friendly staff and comfortable camping amenities. Nice place to let your children run around and explore.
Wayne Sellers: Quite and very friendly staff.
Jenny Griebenow: Quiet, clean bathroom, kind staff, nice fellow campers and the price was extremely reasonable.
Roro Ramz: I like the place, but the bathrooms are filled with bugs and constantly get clogged..... It makes it very uncomfortable to use the bathroom.
Georgiann Drayer: Great park, friendly people, never had any problems, for us close to home.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Bobby Moore: excellent stay including capmers very polite i beleive they would haved died to save my life on zip line aka ssh would be worth going again not zipline though but however when your used to easy roads easy to get lost easy to find but roads splits without warning only thing they need closer porter potties few would be perferfectRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Destinie King: The family and I had a great time. We will definitely be coming back. The place is very well kept, bathrooms and bath house are very clean, staff is very helpful, and there are plenty of things to do( some at extra cost) but so worth it.
Mark King: Camp Timber Lake is an excellent family camp spot. The grounds are laid out nicely, lots of shade trees, beautiful fishing and swimming ponds, showers/restrooms are clean and spacious, the staff are most accommodating and friendly. We love this place and will be back. It's green and serene.

Blue Lake Campground: what do users think?
Lori Price: Campground...Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
tina Galloway: We was there all summer season..our daughter made alot of friends and a new family..her heart was broken in half when,we had to leave. Due to a amazing job offer my husband got🤑🤑🤗🤗..the office people are amazing and always whiling to help. And are always finding activities on the wkends for families to do together..we loved the lake and had amazing spot with neighbors that became family..WE WILL BE BACK THATS FORSURE..😘😁
Ronny McIlveen: Thank you Janis and Mike . We will be back Super people all around . Happy my ' 59 was a big hit . Tell Shawn he's cool .
Anne Kerns: Great campground. It has golf carts running round until about 1am. Also don't camp by the basketball hoop. Kids play at all hours. There is no curfew at 11 PM.
Faith Sprunger: Great place! Quiet and relaxing 😌 Friendly people, beautiful lake
Brian Fero: Great little camping place with lots of stuff for the kids to do. Swimming looked fun too although I did not go in the lake. I remote camped and was the only one there. $30 a night. Awsome.
Alex MacDonald: Great place!
Paul Goodridge: Had a great 4th of July fireworks show. Great staff in the office. Was a blast.
Christina Carrillo: Unorganized customer service. Called and made a reservation. They failed to ask for a deposit and gave away my reservation. I didn’t find out until I drove out there with my family and all of our gear.
Fawn Bowling: Good time, good people.
Diana Cornwell: Relaxing and clean
Derek Shaffer: Very nice great people
Kristin Christoffersen: OK, not great. The camping sites are small, unless you are a seasonal spot. We couldn't have our awning out due to the narrow site and being right next to several trees. We also couldn't have a fire since the fire ring was a foot away from the camper next to us. We would normally move the fire ring, but there was no place to put it that wasn't next to another camper. The office people were very nice. It was nice to be in a site with full hookups for once, but we will stick to state parks where you have more room and less golf carts and loud music all day.
Barbara Hall-Lowe: We booked a stay were told there would be a band on saturday night and fireworks...Nope they told us the events of July 4th... we booked in august.... epic fail. They gave the spot we paid for to someone else and put us elsewhere. Gave our tent site to others too we had 1 rv and 2 tent a famy weekend rui ed.
Beverley Blakley: Relaxing, quiet ..
CHITO V.: Awesome place!
Keenan Schumm: These people ripped us off with our $100 security deposit!!We stayed in the travel trailer. There was no bed sheets, linens, soaps to wash dishes, or trash bags available. We stopped at the dollar store in Churubusco to by our own sheets and other items not provided. When we left, we were charged our entire $100 refund with the reason being that we left a boxed food item in the freezer, some dishes on the counter, and a pair of shoes. Otherwise left the place very tidy. It makes us wonder if the dishes provided are even sanitized properly when staff places them in shelves. We tried to talk to management multiple times and they also promised to call us back. No response was received and they were adamant that they were going to take the entire refund and not even return a portion of it.This place looks for any excuse possible to take peoples refund, false advertises on website and expectations on phone, uses the kids they have working as their pawns to deflect conflict with management, and makes their majority of money with high probability of screwing people out of their entire $100 refund. Never go here and I will tell and have told many people to avoid this place at all cost!
Carmine dibiasi: I don't know what's up with all the negative posts I guess to each there own experience. However me and my wife were reading them on route to the place and were getting worried. When we arrived we wanted to look at the rustic cabin because I reserved it. Well it really wasn't great for my little kids because of how high the loft was. We were gonna leave until we were offered the bunk house for the kids witch was a rv. It was the best experience we had and the kids loved it. Very well clean and the staff went above and beyond expectations so me and my family can have a great time. Everyone waved and smiled and people were very nice. The boat rental was great and fun and the staff member who I am sorry I can't remember his name jumped in the lake to help me with the boat. We will definitely return but for longer time. Please give this place a chance we experienced nothing bad here.

Camp Canine: Members Only: what do users think?
Matt: Camp Canine is a relatively large outdoor fenced-in dog park with two zones of equal size. My only real complaint is that there is a lack of obstacles or things for the dogs to interact with - essentially just a couple of large fields. It's a great place for dogs to run around, but would benefit from additional interactive architecture.
Deborah R: Love this park and my dog has a blast! He always meets lots of new friends and usually the "parents" chat under the pavilion. The park out south has a few things like a hoop and a ramp to teach your dog a trick. Both parks are enjoyable. One suggestion would beto have a few shade areas scattered for the dogs.
April Bartlett: What a GREAT dog park! Harry has LOVED meeting new friends to play with while we are there.
Jessica Dziondziak: Nice facility and a large area for the dogs to run. I like how there's water fountains and bathrooms nearby.
Andrea C: The park is super cute and since we usually go to Pawster we thought we'd give this one a try and my dog loved it
Katarina Otero: I like this one a lot better than pawster. It's bigger and neater. I just wish there was more stuff for the dogs to do like ramps and hoops for dog training
Mark Jones: Sophie loves her play time
Carmen Crabill: Disappointed the water is not on yet for the dogs or humans in this hot weather.. love love this park for fur babies
Dawn Parkison: Awesome place! Friendly folks. Nice big area and most people good about picking up after their animals and I've seen others pick up after the irresponsible dog owners to keep area clean. I love it and so does my dog !
Lena C: My dog was attacked!!
Dan Hicks: Great dog park. Usually really clean and mostly friendly dogs.
Augie Francis: Great place
Sandra Monnier: Would even be better if there was a pool for the dogs to cool off in.
Jacob Koppel: It's a great place to hang out with dogs and people.
Amber Stephenson: Great place for the pups! Well maintained
Emily B. Orr: I'm willing to pay but there is NO way to get the dog park pass outside of business hours. You have to go IN PERSON to the P&R department 8-5, M-F. This why I am giving this one star. I am willing to pay fees and show proof of vaccination. But if you work full time M-F how are you supposed to get to the office!? No internet, mail, or app option for the park pass! Very disappointing!
Tina Funkhouser: Great place for those who have dogs that need to be exercised. It cost $40 a year for a past which pays for the doggy pick up bags and removal of dog waste. There are a lot of great people and dogs at both of the city's dog parks.
Denny g: Really a cool place to let your dog run and have some fun in a safe fenced in place. Plenty of room for them to run.
Lia Moore: Cost $40 for a year membership or only $20 after july 1. The park has two sections and a nice seating area. My dog loves running around here. Always peaceful
Karissa Reeves: I love taking Rocky to this park. It is membership only. All you have to do is go the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation department and show proof that your dog is vaccinated and pay the $40 annual fee ($20 if you do it at the half year point). There are garbage bags you can use to clean up after your pet and the park is really cute. There are benches for you to sit on and there is also a water fountain for the dogs to drink out of.
Joseph Vaccaro: It's just a fence take your dog for a walk instead

Hurshtown Reservoir: what do users think?
Michael Bruner: I have fished here and we take our dog Betsy Ross here so she can go swimming.
Dan Myers: Great small/medium place. Great fishing. Boat rental. Small amt of picnic tables. Large picnic area.
William Halley: A place where you can see 6 billion of something.
Jasper Higgins: Nice walking trail. Needs some maintenance to keep the weeds off the trail though.
Dennis Schmucker: Nice place for biking and walking.
Michael Coakley: Nice place for for a 2 mile walk or run ,great fishing , places to sit down and eat .
Brett Myers: My absolute favorite place to blow some time on the water. Crystal clear water, absolutely loaded with smallmouth and walleye. Many catfish and carp as well. Incredible place to fish, just wish it stayed open until dark.
tamie sershon: 1st place I took my son to learn to fish. He had a fun time many moons ago. And when we can we go back for kayaking. Fun times
Pai: Nice place to walk my dog & enjoy the fresh air & country sounds. I wish the reservoir could be open longer into the fall season... maybe until the beginning of December?
Shari Marie: God brought us to Kathy. We hope your knee heals.
Tamara Gohlke: Love this park it'd beautiful
Martin Pasternak: Nice place.
Michael Hunt: Very nice
Donna Stucker: Peaceful place. The water is clean and the staff is friendly.
Teresa Christian: I enjoy going there to fish. They do have a walking trail however it doesn't allow any electric wheelchairs on the trail for those who use them. The staff are excellent there. They do have a couple of picnic tables and two porta-pots for bathrooms and one is handicap accessible. They do rent row bows and kayaks. You can pay each visit for parking or buy a seasonal parking pass which is cheaper if you plan to go a lot.I enjoy the fishing and peaceful surrounding. You can bring your own boat to their dock. Check with then first about boat motor requirements. There is no over night camping however you can pitch a tent for the day in the picnic areas.
Katherine Alberto: Definitely coming back. What an amazing area.
Wendy Danger: Very peaceful my son and I really enjoyed our time there
Anthony Burton: Nice and clean
lawrence evans: Went there to fish. Didn't get one but with various baits, lures and location changes. Fishing sucks but, absolutely beautiful park to walk the perimeter, have a cookout or just to relax and about the view.
James Schmidt: Great place to get out on the water and fish near town.
Matthew dunn: Fishing from a boat is a must
