The Hoppy Gnome: what do users think?
Erin Kingen: We stopped in while traveling thru Ft. Wayne. We like to try new breweries on route and usually travel with our dog. We came on a sunny, spring day, but not quite patio season yet, so we called first to make sure the patio was open, and dog friendly ...they answered promptly and said yes. When I walked in and asked for a patio seat the guy remembered us calling and sat us outside. Another employer even followed to make sure the table was clean and he turned on the heater for us too! (Not quite patio season 😜) We ordered a plethora of different tacos and they were all fantastic! The IPAs we tried were good, as well at the churros for dessert. Our server was awesome and super attentive, even though we were the only ones on the patio. We ordered beers and hop waters (yum!) for carry-out and they were out of a few of the ones we wanted so the manager came out to apologize and thank us for coming.Overall, the food and beers were all excellent, unique, flavorful and worth the stop again, but the service here was top notch. Thank you!!!
lupe santos: Well it's been 4 yrs since I've been back and the food is good but not 56.00 good minus tip ( great service) 5 tacos, kids pizza, chips and salsa and 2 drinks. I just hate it when the tacos fall apart! I like corn tortillas and you have to double up on them. My opinion is that for the money I think you can double up on the tortillas. Other than that great food and atmosphere is still cool. I can wait to go back 😬
Amanda Hirschy (Foodie with the booty): Drinks are amazing here. Honestly don't care for the tacos very much but it's a nice place to enjoy a drink downtown.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Matthew Westerfield: Sam was great we loved her infectious and positively awesome personality. The food was incredible, possibly the best guacamole I’ve ever had. And the beer… wow.We will certainly be back hungry and thirsty for more!!!
Erin S: When I came in, I was immediately greeted by the host and taken to a booth in the bar. Service was fantastic - I had been seated, ordered, and received my food in record time. Ended up buying a shirt and the manager helping me was super nice and helpful. Already planning my next visit!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Catie Stamper: First time here, so so good! Service was a bit slow, but only because she was sat a 10 top, so it wasn't her fault. Will be back!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Churros, S'Mores, Brunch Huarache, Fattoush Salad …More
Amber Hunter: I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is fun and our waitress was sweet and attentive. That's as far as the stars go unfortunately. The food was just not any good. I should have LOVED this meal. I got the sirloin, medium. It's usually my favorite protein. I was super excited to see the char on it, and that it was cooked nicely. But OH MY LORD... This was the toughest sirloin I've ever met. And it was not overcooked. I don't even know how to explain that. I am not picky with my steak. I never send it back. Overcooked? Oh well, eat it. Too rare? Try not to look at it and eat it. Poorly seasoned? Dip it in some sauce and eat it... You get the idea, but I was so tired of trying to chew that mess that I gave up after a few bites. The big serrated butter knife they call a steak knife couldn't accomplish peices small enough to compensate for the awful texture of the thing. Sadly I didn't even eat the mashed potatoes served with my steak because they were cold. My daughter's Kimchi chicken was better but very very salty and my other daughter had a taco that was served on a cold tortilla that was just plain boring. I probably should have just sent it back but I just took the food home for my dog. She enjoyed it so I've asked her to leave a review of her own of she felt mine was unfair. Like I said, I really wanted to like it. It's such a neat place with a great location, but the food greatly disappoints. I hope they were just having a bad night but I don't think we will risk going back to find out.
Craig Ganssle: Amazing tacos! Really nice atmosphere with floor to ceiling windows with nice street views of the city.If I ever return to Fort Wayne, I'll be sure to stop here again trying some different tacos.
Ellie Neuerburg: One of my FW favorites! I think it 100% lives up to the hype and I always leave satisfied. And that’s coming from a vegetarian who only gets the same thing every visit! I could live off of their avocado tacos forever, but everyone I’ve gone with (carnivores unlike me) has always been satisfied with their choices. Cocktails are good, atmosphere is good, waitstaff is kind, food is great, I don’t know what else you could want in a local restaurant. Always 5/5 for me!
Jin Kwon: The tacos were delicious. I enjoyed all of them but the duck stood out as well as the barbacoa. My FIL enjoyed his west Philly. Our service was excellent.
The Bug Podcast: Food good as usual, just had a not so attentive wait person, and the queso was not good, and was never given linen napkins like the other customers we were given a stack of paper napkins we had to ask for twice, paper napkins restaurant workers don't get tipped either
Scott V: Great food and drink to start our Saturday. This wasn't our first choice, but very happy we had to fall back to plan B. The mimosas was huge, unlike most places, and you could tell they use premium ingredients.Whip cream on the French Toast was unbelievable, not sure what it was infused with but it was perfect.Again very happy with our visit
Gabriel Ponce: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bob MarleyMore
Bethany Hughes: We had Richie as our server, he was wonderful! Mason the manager made sure to stop by and talk with us. He helped ensure our visit was as great as possible. Additionally, we sat by the kitchen window where we could see the various chefs and line cooks. They did a great job being on display while making everyone’s food in a timely manor. Everything was amazing!!

Matteo Catalano: Great experience, the staff is always so nice. The variety of beers they offer is great, and they always taste delicious. The POG beer is seriously good. All of their food is so good. They have a nice gluten free menu, and they can often substitute meat for a vegetarian option.Vegetarian options: Very big vegetarian menu. If an item is not vegetarian they usually can accommodate your need with a substitute. Theirs falafel stuff is really good.Parking: Free parking right up front. When they are really busy it can fill up.Dietary restrictions: They have a good gluten free menù. However, no gf buns for burgers or gf pizza dough.

Had the bibimbap which was outstanding and wife had the hash which is more of a beef stew but very good as well. Jeff Gray: My wife and I returned to Fort Wayne for the first time in twelve years (it was our anniversary and Fort Wayne is where we met) and wanted to check some places out that didn't exist when we were there. Junk Ditch was one of those places and so glad we stopped by. Their sours were great as were the stout and porter. We had no idea they even had food but it was brunch when we arrived and we found the food outstanding as well! Would definitely go back when in the area again.
Keith: This is a good place for food and drinks. We sat in the enclosed back patio and had a great experience. It was cold outside but they had heat inside the enclosure that was wonderful. Junk Ditch has an interesting selection of food that is really good. Brews were also good. Service was excellent.
Curtis Henderson: Tonight we tried Junk ditch for the first time and WOW! The food was really really good the sesame wing are incredible and both me and my fiancés entrees were excellent she had the ramen and I had the western burger I’ll say it again everything was absolutely delicious and Preston our service provider was exceptional very friendly held great conversation made sure to converse with both of us one of the best experiences I’ve had in quite some time love that your local you e definitely earned our business again and again 10 out of 10 would recommend
Gordon Londini: Andy Pants!! And I tried a couple Sours for the first time. The POG was good! Visited again this week. OH MAMA, the brussel sprouts, mushroom toast, and Ramen! All of these are must haves! I recommend any of the JDBC brews on tap, you can't go wrong. I have been to Junk Ditch Brewery a couple of times now and previously have enjoyed the jdbc burger. The brussel sprouts are amazing and highly recommended! This time we tried a couple of pizzas. The pizzas are about 12 in with six slices and it was plenty of food for myself. They make all of their bread from scratch at the brewery and that made the pizza crust very enjoyable. With an appetizer and a couple of drinks they could easily be shared. They have a good selection of draft beers as well as bottled and canned craft beers from around the area. I've enjoyed some of their own brews that are on tap as well as some of the bottles or cans from around the area. All in all, great food, great atmosphere and servers who are very knowledgeable and take very good care of you.
Luis Aragon: Good food. Nice place.Recommended dishes JDBC Burger …More
Todd Rhoades: Sunday brunch was awesome. I had the brunch burger. Highly recommend. The pastry flight was great as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Eggs Benedict, Brunch Burger, Cinnamon Roll …More
Allana Coulter: Can't go wrong with any menu item#junkditchbrewingFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Darren Barnes: I ordered veal hash but received chuck roast beef stew...? Maybe somebody in the kitchen should Google "breakfast hash"?Wife's chilaquiles were a saving grace, very tasty.Bowtie was a passable Dubbel. Honestly, any trappist style is swinging for the fences IMO, so kudos for going for it 👍Service and atmosphere were on point, but after an $18 brunch plate that I couldn't enjoy I won't be in a rush to return. Particularly with so many options in the area.
David Holscher: Update: OMG, I recently got the chiliqulees and they are awesome. The smash burger is a nice addition.Dining in during COVID was handled extremely well. Plenty of space, toss away menu's and gloved employees gave us confidence that Junk Ditch cares about employees. The brussel sprouts were great and the frites. The Pea Pasta was a great change and our favorite new dish. I enjoyed the curry on the Khao Soi. The real treat was the fresh cherry tart.
cat kelson: One of the best spots in FW!
Brett Andersson: JDBC has long been a go-to for my wife and I. The food is phenomenal, the beer selection is diverse without being overwhelming, and the staff is always very accommodating and friendly. My only complaint, and I say “complaint” very conservatively, would be the babimbop. It was delicious, but the kimchi was, well, it wasn’t really kimchi and my egg was slightly over cooked. Nothing that would make me send it back, but the dish wasn’t quite what I was hoping it would be. Either way, the pros FAR outweigh the cons so obviously we’ll keep coming back.

The Pub at 1802: what do users think?
Tommy Lemaster: Absolutely excellent atmosphere and staff. The food was excellent as well I had the pub burger my lady had the fried green tomatoes and salad. Full bar and a great martini selection 👌 definitely will be back many times 😁😁😁
Mark Leipold: Love the brussel sprouts!
Adam Kline: 1st time visiting and we had a great experience. The food was great. The prices were good. The staff was warm and friendly. The atmosphere was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. My only suggestion would be to work on getting something on walls or ceiling for sound adsorption as it can get a lil loud with larger crowds. Overall a recommended spot for sure.
Ann Hill: My family had lunch here today. The place is so neat inside and very clean. The staff was very welcoming. The food was delicious and our server was excellent. We will definitely go back again.
Nolan Richhart: The food is above average bar food. The pub is very clean and the servers are always pleasant. The biggest drawback to this place is it is always loud. I don't mind the other patrons, but the place is incredibly prone to echoes. When games are on it's like you are inside a tin can. Be ready for a loud evening.
Janelle Hartman: We met friends for a birthday party on St. Patty's Day. I had the nachos and my husband had the chili cheese fries. It was so good! We will definitely be back!
dan gesick: As always great food and wonderful people. Appetizers enough to share.
Meely B’Deely: I used to work here when I was in school, but still come back because I genuinely love the place! So happy to see it’s doing well! The food, service, and speed has came such a long way! I love bringing people here for the first time.. I always know a place! Had sliders last night, and stuffed jalapeños - still my favourite..😋
Terrance Golden: Good atmosphere. Economical menu. Helpful staff.
Tonya Floyd: Food was delicious. Friendly staff. Always a great time.
Daniel Reilly: Good crowd. Employees did a nice job.
Aaron Goldner: Date night with the wife Friday night. Loved the whole experience. Def on the list for a 2nd go.
Robert Schroeder: Hamburger and fries or not worth $17.
Christopher Vallery: Excellent service, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a pub. 10/10 will eat here again.
J O: Excellent service, appetizers, and food!
Shaun Silva: Awesome hospitality...food was amazing and fairly priced, the establishment was very clean and tidy...all the sports I wanted to watch...The bartender Kindra has to be one of the best in Fort Wayne...will be definitely going back...
Angie Nicodemus: Tried Pub @ 1802 for the first time yesterday and it was fantastic! We had the jalapeño poppers and Buffalo chicken dip to start and both were great. For dinner we had the southwest chicken wrap with fries. The wrap was fully loaded and had great flavor. The fries were hot and crispy and seasoned very well. Dessert was peanut butter pie and it was delicious! The highlight of our visit was our server Michelle. She was amazing! Very attentive and helpful! We will definitely be back!!
Mike Mastej: We loved it! Fast & friendly service. Michelle went above and beyond for us.The jalapeño poppers and birria tacos were awesome!
jeromy bowman: Southwest chicken salad was good. Farmers pizza was delicious. The beast burger, the cook can't seem to get a temp. To save their lives. 2x the same trip both wrong.Maybe just a bad day. Waitress was very nice. Even after complaining 2x.Environment was very loud!. Bathrooms were super clean and smelled good. .All and all. Will return to try again.
Nicole Gerlach: Very clean restaurant with a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. I would drive over an hour just to go there again! Highly recommend!!!
Albert Armenta: The food was amazing as well as the staff ! And plenty of beer on tap great place for date night!

Chris Larimer: On our last visit (3/18/23), everyone must have been sleeping off their St. Patty’s hangover. My wife ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Turns out, it’s no longer a breaded chicken fillet dipped in hot sauce. Nope - it was 3 tiny chicken tenders (1.5” x 3”) from the kids menu that they had repurposed into sandwich filler. Additionally, they were just over room temperature when it got to the table. We waited for the server to come check on us so we could let her know; it was more than 15 minutes before we saw her again. And then we weren’t offered a replacement - she just said she’d let the kitchen know. 🤷‍♂️I had the meatloaf. It was a decent portion of under-salted meat that was slathered in a bottled sweet-n-sour sauce they called “bourbon onion gravy.” Maybe it’s because I lived in KY for more than a decade, but I couldn’t make out any bourbon or onion…just diced canned peppers & high fructose corn syrup. Of the 12 green beans served with my meal, one had the stalk still attached! Because of the odd construction (bread, gravy, beans, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, & topped with onion straws) I couldn’t see it so I had the delightful experience of biting into a twig. Thankfully, the undercooked lumps of red potato in the “mash” were there to distract me from the disaster which lay underneath.I was there for my birthday meal (BOGO up to $15) - that money-saving coupon is the only thing keeping this from being a 1-star review. Disappointing. This place used to be good, but quality has certainly slipped in the last 18 months. (For reference, we go there 3-5 times a year.)
daniel angel: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Erik Boswell: Holy Tastiness Batman!! I had the Whiskey Salmon tonight with tasty tasty asparagus and honestly, this is not a joke people, the ABSOLUTE BEST TASTING MASHED POTATOES IVE EVER HAD PERIOD BUT DO NOT TELL MY MOM.I ate every.. single.. bite and then some!! The apps were amazing. Our sever was amazing. My dinner was ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Get there now to try this! I’m still dreaming about it!
Madison M: Ended up here after a long day at the Coliseum around 5:30ish on a Saturday. No wait if we sat at the bar, so we did! We had great service from the bartenders. I ordered a Mojito. Honestly was not the best and wouldn’t have been surprised if there was no alcohol in it. My next stop was a beer. I had the chicken sliders which were okay but didn’t seem totally fresh. I will say that I wasn’t overwhelmed by my first experience here, however, maybe I just ordered the wrong things. I’ve heard great things about their Sunday brunch! Bathrooms were really gross. I personally wouldn’t come back especially since I’m not from the area.
Eric Overmyer: Love it here!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Chad Eversole: Stopped in for lunch yesterday and my wife and I both ordered the "prime rib" sandwich. What we received were shoe leather sandwiches on a stale bun with generic store bought crinkle cut fries, $17.50 each. The service was excellent, but the food was just horrific
Ryan Stucky: We spent 4 hours at this restaurant. It was busy but it took an hour and a half to get our food! The manager was extremely rude and didn't care that we had little kids and just wanted to get our food and get out of there ... never going back!
Biniyam Begna: The unlimited fried fish was really goodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bryan Conwell: Excellent food and atmosphere!!!
Abimael Gutiérrez: The food! Oh my, the food was SPECTACULAR! The starter salads that came with the meal were wonderfully delicious!!! The combination of their house vinaigrette, blue cheese, and walnuts on the salad was very tasty! I ordered the Mediterranean shrimp scampi with melted cheeses. The goat cheese was just enough to make the dish pop with flavor!
Darian Massengill: We stopped by here when we came to town to sell my vehicle to the carmax next door and boy are we glad we came here!! We came here twice and got different meals each time and all of them were AMAZING. the chicken tuscano was our absolute favorite. The service here is absolutely amazing! Kiera is so sweet and was a pleasure to talk to and she took great care of us!

J B: I had the "Mix & Match" - BLT & Asian Salad. Both were very tasty. Tried this several months ago as a carry-out order and enjoyed it. Ordered it again, but this time as a dine-in order. __Chrispyy__: Always excellent food every time I go. I absolutely love this place, sucks the truck isn't going to be ran anymore. A drive up to pick up online order option it is great. Only one time did I not have the best service, my party was forgotten about a few times for even water refills. The quesadillas are the best!!!! Used to order 2 of them from the truck when it would be at Ted's.
Carolyn Harrison: We're not from Fort Wayne but were here with family for the Komets Hockey game. We didn't have reservations to eat any place and the wait was way too long. We wanted to try something new and when we Googled Solbird they had no tables available but we could eat at the bar. So glad we did!!!It's a small restaurant 49 capacity. The Staff was wonderful & The food was outstanding.I got the Chicken Tinga Tacos. Instead of corn tortilla shells I asked for the lettuce wraps. Delicious!!Kid-friendliness: Must be 21 to enter.Parking: Free parking in front of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs might be difficult since the seating is very tight.Dietary restrictions: If doing low carb they do offer lettuce wrap to replace corn tortilla shells
Mike Fritsch: My friend took me here for the first time and this is now my favorite Mexican food place in Northeast Indiana. The food is just a step above and different. The burritos are crispy and not totally filled with rice like other places. The chips themselves are very tasty. Crispy with some kind of seasoned salt on them which makes them awesome!. Our service was extremely fast and good and they have a full bar too. It's just great
Corey Rice: Don’t get the Texan taco. It’s a worse version of Taco Bell’s hard shell taco. The $9 guacamole is a small scoop of smashed avocado with tomatoes on top.
Holly Hudson: Fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious. I got a quesadilla with steak, pesto, and goat cheese. We also got an appetizer of queso and chips.
