Parkview Hospital Randallia: what do users think?
Dan: Wow. So many bad reviews, that I won't go here for any reason. There are lots of hospitals that don't have so many bad reviews for mistreatment of their patients. Thanks for saving me some grief everyone!!! Hospital's are unwilling to treat a person's pain anyhow! They treat us all like we are all addicts, Instead of treating the ADDICT'S like they are addicts. they just look at the Commonwealth as if we are a lesser people. Incapable of handling opiates and benzodiazapine on our own. Leaving good, responsible adults to suffer needlessly. 13% of the population couldn't control their opiate cravings! I am offended that I am throw into that category, and left to suffer!
Hailey Taulbee: Literally the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. My spouse broke his leg a few months ago while at work and had to come here, unfortunately. The staff was dismissive in the emergency vehicle and when he got to the hospital, he did not receive any medication until he was visibly in pain although he said he broke his leg. The staff was generally rude and failed to help him, don’t waste your time, energy or money here.
Chris Foust: Worst experience at a hospital ever. All kinds of hidden fees and lack of communication. Ended up paying $3,500 to $5,000 minimum for literally two stitches, two x-rays and antibiotics. And thats after haggling for a price reduction. Was told I would not have to pay to get my stitches out at 2nd visit. Was then charged $1,200 the second visit because they prescribed antibiotics the 2nd visit even though I was told the second visit wouldn't cost me a thing. Never going back!
Breanna Brown: My son came in for a dental surgery . All the nurses were amazing ! Very kind and helpful . One of them even left 10 dollars from the "tooth fairy ". Defiantly recommend receiving care from here. Thank you all for taking care of my baby 😀
ConCon Zachy: I do not recommend this ER location. Checkin was fine but we waited 4.5 hours with our 15 month old vomiting in the lobby and did not get seen. A nurse gave us a pedialyte, which helped some but overall just bad experience. I do not recommend this location for use of the ER. Multiple people got up and left, most going to Parkview North.
Jason Johnson: Excellent patient care. Clean, remodeled. Caring, understanding staff.
Gregg Salser: I received a procedure at Parkview. I was very pleased with the procedure and the person who performed it. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the billing department who prior to the procedure confirmed with my insurance what my total out of pocket cost would be. After the fact they sent me a billing for substantially more. How can an organization say your total out of pocket cost is one thing, your insurance stays the same, then after the fact they bill you something completely different. I am very disappointed in Parkview hospital not standing by their actual amount they told me was my "total out of pocket cost" for the procedure. I find this unacceptable, if I could give the billing department a "0" star I would.Per the comments by Parkview below. I already contacted Parkview's billing department. I was told they do not stand behind their original statement that the amount I would pay would be XYZ. They contacted my insurance company prior to the procedure to get the amounts I would pay, but Parkview does not stand behind their quote of "total out of pocket cost". There were no changes in my medical insurance and I find this totally unacceptable.
Chester saylor: Very unpleasant experience with my dad being in the Parkview system. Don't send elderly people here . Don't come here without excellent insurance!
Corey Dyben: Their decision to discharge a patient who is clearly a danger to themselves and who cannot take care of themselves is absolutely disgusting. Your incompetence and lack of compassion will be putting someone's life in jeopardy.
Lesley Gregory: The nurses are AMAZING!!! But the Dr's don't do what they say, they are late (3 hours)!!!! If you're going to extabate someone you don't make the patient and their family wait over 3 hours! Especially when you won't return the nurses calls!!! Especially in ICU!!!
Sherion Nave: Spent 1 hour just trying to connect with scheduling. On hold for another 2 hours to speak with billing to no avail. Had to hang up to accomplish other tasks for the day. Needless to say that's 3 hours of my life that I'll never get back. Does anyone work in billing?Update: today Thursday January 19th. Called again, on hold for an hour only to be disconnected. I don't have internet for my chart and I do not put personal information on my phone for your app. I understand that my chart assists you a great deal but I prefer to speak to someone when I have issues with my bill. Any other great suggestions?
Tabitha Lynn: I moved here from Michigan almost a month ago and there is no comparison to the treatment my family is use to. I wouldn't step foot in this place ever again. I brought my child into the emergency department due to respiratory distress. Where I'm from, children are seen almost immediately when there are respiratory issues. There were four patients in the waiting area before I arrived. It took about a half hour to get checked-in, then an hour to be put in a room. The Nurse Practitioner finally arrives, checks out my kid, leaves for another 20-30 minutes and finally sends in the respiratory therapists with mask and medication... I am utterly appalled at the response time in this place. Don't go here if you are truly having an emergency, waiting on these people you might die.
Tricia Neely: Went to Parkview for the infusion after being diagnosed with Covid in Aug 2021. Was told by person administering the infusion that no charges for the infusion due to being an experimental drug. 4 months later I get a $990 bill wanting paid for the infusion. Parkview is saying they didn’t send the bill so not their problem … now I’m getting billed a 2nd time for a fractured foot that I made all billed payments on for the exact same amt $990. Kinda crazy how 2 different things total exactly same amt. no one can give me any answers. I’m definitely going to question something that I feel is a mistake Think twice before walking into parkview
Marie: My brother was in this hospital this last summer.I have nothing but great things to say about this hospital thanks again.
Mallory Mikel: Zero stars if possible. Social services treats individuals with no insurance & their family members as less than human. Discharged my father to the streets when he was unable to care for himself only for him to wind up back in ER after falling. Lacking in resources, empathy & respect across the board!!!
Leelee Kaley: YOUR FAMILY WILL DIE
kim Austin: passing through for the Thanksgiving holiday. I am a indiana resident. Husband got sick on the road had to pull over and go to cameron Hospital. Wonderful hospital, they did everything that was possible for he. The hospital felt it was best to transport him to Parkview Hospital by EMS. Another wonderful hospital the nurses and medical team went beyond in over for my husband care. We never been treated so good by a hospital. On the hand I didn’t like how “relaxed”the staff were with the mask option. It was a patient next to my husband with room, with a sign clearly stating DO NOT ENTER without proper PPE. Most of the medical team didn’t even wear a mask entering. How I know, his door was while open at times. Not safe I did say something to charge nurse. Didn’t nothing change. I just grateful my husband didn’t get nothing he didn’t come with.
Eric: literally worst hospital experience I've ever had. alarms going off no RN in sight. patients literally have beds in the hallways. nurse seems a little bit on the slow side. the registration guy Jeffrey just flat-out gave me the creeps.
Gina Rury: Excellent care
Heather Reiff: I went to er for a severe migraine, light and sound sensitivity, nausea and vomiting. I was seen by Marcus PA. He ordered 2 injectibles and tylenol. I told the nurse it wasn't going to help. He had already discharged me before evaluating if the medication was goben. Charge nurse said there is nothing that can be done. So at 5:07 I walked out the door and now seeking help elsewhere!
Juliets Journey: I had a horrific experience with a CST. Very rude, condescending and almost came off as racist. Her name was Meagan E. She is covered in tattoos, and has black hair. I have never been treated like that before. People go to hospitals to receive care and be educated in professional, respectful ways. Not to be treated like we are less than human. Horrible decision to employee such a rude, mean and entitled person.

Lutheran Downtown Hospital: what do users think?
Lisa Kennerk: Very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes to be called in for procedure.
Ralph Nusbaum: Went in emergency room for possible blood clot. Received excellent attention and service. From check in to release all personnel should be praised. I would not hesitate to use this facility again,
Theresa Poorman: The staff that I was with was pleasant, kind, courteous and very helpful. I waited only five minutes to get checked in and my test went quickly. I would certainly go to Lutheran Downtown again!
Laura Wall: The nurses and Dr Apuri was great. The kitchen staff was wonderful also.
We K: The downtown Lutheran Hospital is as nice as the main hospital is terrible. Downtown was clean and bright, the staff was attentive and readily available, the food was good. No complaints. It felt like my elderly mother was in a boutique hotel. The elderly are often ignored whether anyone in any hospital will admit that. I’ve witnessed it. Not at Lutheran Downtown. The main hospital is dingy, no wheelchairs in ER when you come in, indifferent staff, and I have never heard one good thing about it. We went there many times with my 93 year old mother and once I almost had to let her lie on the floor because nothing but a chair was available and the young woman at the desk could have cared less. It’s a big inefficient bureaucracy with over 5k employees.Downtown has 250 employees who know and support each other - out of the mouths of nurses there.Go downtown or Parkview.
Christine Crager: Was in and out in no time
Chantes: The staff was very nice but not very educated.I came in with difficulty breathing due to sudden asthma flare up and they did everything but gave me treatment for that and sent me home the same way I came in. They didn’t give me breathing treatment or an inhaler but made me sit for hours for Other non related test and said everything looks fine follow up with your doctor and I still could barely breathe. Went to a different emergency room and they gave me the correct treatment. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone.
James Walton: Great job
Patricia Swartz: It was a short visit.Everyone was professional. The technician was very good at explaining and was very evident she cares about her patient.
Marsha Wade: Great 👍👍
peaches s: I had a very good experiencewith Dr. Zuhair. He listened, ordered tests to be sure, and Nurse Miranda was just great. Very helpful, understanding, and kind.
Winston Piohia: I just had an echocardiogram here today. The US technician, Jody, was very pleasant and professional. She set my mind at ease by talking me through the entire procedure. Her willingness to explain what was going on and what I was seeing on the monitor screen was very comforting. I encourage anyone who needs this procedure to go to Lutheran Downtown Hospital and ask for Jody and her 5-star hotel style treatment.
Kevin Hemp: I went to the emergency room in a lot of pain. Tests revealed that my condition was serious. I was admitted into the hospital and received expert care and treatment. They literally nursed me back to health. Very impressed and happy with the attention and care I received. I highly recommend this facility.
Tammy Taylor: I was treated with such love and care. Everyone was just absolutely great and wonderful. Thank you Lutheran!!
Kimberly Bear: Check in was very no nonsense as was the front desk.My valet assistant was very friendly and personable as well as my MRI crew.
Forcemaster2000: I was seen quickly and everyone from reception to the doctor that treated me we're extremely friendly and professional.
Carol Patterson: The hospital is lovely. The waiting time was too long. After I got in (finally) discovered there was another test that had to be done prior to the CT; more waiting!!
Ann Giese: Wonderful people short wait
Kindra Greer: My emergency room visit was March 29th and it took a very long time to see a nurse or my doctor there were only 2 nurses not good patient care. Except for a very nice lady from Jamaica who helped me put my socks on and my boots on and took my suite case out for me and pushed me in a wheelchair to the front entrance she was wonderful the rest lacking I am so thankful for the really nice Jamaican lady so sweet and kind 😊 to me!
John E. Uzubell: Hi,all staff are smart,100%caring.great food!! Thanks 4 everything, John E. UZUBELL,ROOM 409,,,,,
Amy Steffen: I took my mother for an Echocardiogram and Jody Rollins let me stay with my mother through the test. Jody showed great compassion and patience and explained the test as she performed it.

Dupont Hospital: what do users think?
Linda Stone: 4/15/2023 Sat waiting in exam room for over 1.5 hrs. Waiting to see the doctor. During that time I rang for nurse asked if she could tell me approximately when or how many patients before me? She never came back. Finally I rang again the two nurses that came were very nice & professional. They still had no idea when I would see the doctor. I told them thank you & I am leaving. Apparently ER doctor doesn't care how long people sit. Website stated 18 min wait. Right before posting this it said 2 min wait. I will be going elsewhere.
Nan McAfee: Excellent, efficient, professional care delivered by caring staff!Addendum: 4/11/23 colonoscopy at the 2510 out patient surgery center. Same excellent experience. Kind, efficient, professional care by each caregiver encountered!
Janet Brown: Professional, courteous staff
CK Conner: Everyone was professional, but what was refreshing was how kind and thorough everyone was
Sarah Kerley: Very easy check in process! I did not wait long at all for an EKG and everyone was very kind!
Mary Frick: Everyone was great. Very good at their jobs. No problems with anything! Great experience from start to finish
Donna Cox: Great staff
Daniel Schreck: I am a grandpa again. I asked my Daughter in-law and Son about their experience. The said that everyone is so nice and that is was a wonderful experience for them. They like the "personal touch" and that "it feels like a home town hospital where people give time and actually care." I am not only a proud grandpa, but also proud to be a part of a team that ministers to everyone that enters. Shout Out to Chaplain Scott, they were impressed with your desire to pray over them... "not all hospitals do that!"
Bryan Lemberg: I went to the Dupont ER early morning on April 5th with abdominal pain. I was taken back to be seen immediately. Care in the ER was excellent. I ended up being admitted and was moved upstairs as soon as a bed was available. My care while in the med/surg floor was great. The nurses and PCTs were all very attentive and took care of anything I needed. I was very pleased with my entire stay at Dupont Hospital.
Ronalee Rasmussen: The nurses and doctors were great. All the staff was nice. However the did the new born screening on my new born baby and told me she passed and gave me a paper saying she passed. We left the hospital on March 23. We got a call on March 31st saying there was not enough blood for the test and they needed us to do the new born screening again but we were out of State so they told us to do it with our doctor when we got back. We went and got the paper work from the doctor to get it done and went to Lutheran on Jefferson. We have been waiting 2 hours with them saying they can’t do it because we were suppose to get it done 24 hours after March 24th which Lutheran had not called and told us until March 24th and they said they sent it to our doctor on March 24th which we saw him on March 28th and he did not have it then. Also on March 31st when they called me to tell me that we needed to get it redone they asked for my doctors information to send it to him. I have never seen so much poor communication and false information in my life. Also the kitchen often messed up on our meal orders and we would have to call down to get it fixed or just let it go but when we called down the staff was always nice and fixed the mistake.
Angela Mihaylov: Kelly has been my xray tech for 2 exams now. Its like she is my personal xray tech.
Ashley Smith: Quick in and out for my thyroid ultrasound. Tech was great
Debbie Warstler: The receptionist/ admittance lady and my Tech were very quick and Friendly! Thank you Ladies👍
Jim Williams: Everyone was very friendly and caring. Felt comfortable the entire visit. Thanks to all
Jennifer Schindler: I would recommend this place to anyone. They are a friendly staff and I like going to the same place because they have all your records.Jennifer Schindler- Brunner
Becky Leep: Very clean and people very friendly and the coffee shop in the gift shop is delicious I highly recommend trying the salty American very nice to have something like that in a hospital, definitely would go back to your hospital again if needed to
Brenda Leas: I was treated with respect and a vary caring Technician, also the ladies who register you were very nice.
david sholl: Dr Akbar did a great job . The nurses were very friendly. The only thing is, I can’t believe you’re still requiring masks to be worn. I thought hospitals followed science. There are plenty of studies that show masks do absolutely nothing to protect you or anyone else. I wouldn’t come back until the mask mandate is banned.
Jennifer Barkey: I went to the ER on Sunday February 5, 2023. I had had COVID for a week and was exhausted from coughing and also having a lot of pain under my right breast when coughing to the point that I just couldn't take it anymore. First I was in the exam room for at least 1 1/2 hours before anyone came in. Then about another hour before the Dr came in. A CT was ordered to rule out a blood clot. When the Dr came in to share results he was dismissive saying there was no blood clot but there was some fluid behind a lung. He said you could tell your lungs have had COVID. That was all that was said. He prescribed some cough medicine some meds for nausea in case the cough medicine made me sick. I didn't seem to get much better, in fact I was losing my appetite. I thought perhaps I had gotten s sinus infection so I messaged my family Dr who is Karen Evans and asked her if a z pack would be helpful. She ordered it for me. Once starting that I started to get better. I just so happened to have an appointment scheduled with Dr Evans on March 29 th. She was able to read the report from my ER visit. That's when I learned that I actually had pneumonia when I was at the ER and that Dr never told me this nor did he prescribe an antibiotic! I use to work at DuPont and retired about 3 years ago. I use to be proud of working there and know how the ER works. After this last visit I doubt if I go back to your ER again.
Judy Burford Rivera: Hello, I think Dupont is a great hospital
Julie Tomlinson: Wonderful caring staff.

Parkview Regional Medical Center: what do users think?
Jenny Hampton: I recently had a trip to the ER that turned into surgery and a hospital stay here. Every single staff member I encountered was friendly and empathetic. They all did a great job at listening to my needs and worries, as well communicating everything I needed to know pre and post op. The staff went above and beyond all expectations and I’m extremely grateful for everyone who helped me while I was there. Thank you all!
Edge23: View from windows
Logan Lee: Very professional, caring, kind, and timely. Had no issues whatsoever. You people who rate it so low are the Karen’s of all Karen’s…. Smh
Yori Yasuhiro: It's an absolute frustration at the ER with the people that they had at the front desk. Extremely rude and literally talking about patient confidentiality right in front of patient. And being disrespectful to one another one of their own nurse's. I came here for my cancer mom, who had blacked out and collapsed on the ground. She is in extreme pain, from the moment as we speak till right now. And they still won't even bother to do anything to help. Despite the pain that the mom's going through. I hope, the owner of the hospital can train their nurses and employee to be more work ethical, professional, emphatic, compassionate, kind, gentle towards the patient. Rather than being rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, unsympathetic, unkind and publicly spoken about patient confidentiality.
kyle a. roach: Er was slow but the obgyn was fast and super helpful for my fiance and getting her help when she wasnt feeling well
H Marie: Starting coming here when my husband was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. Have not had a bad experience at all. Drs and nurses are kind and has helped in every way with questions that we have had. Hubby was just admitted into the hospital and he hates hospitals but he seems ok here with all the support that he has had.Helen/Dan
jensen chaney: Er will get you in and out
Courtney: Evs department managers need a serious reality check. Upper management as well. People will get sick working in a hospital. People have lives outside of work. Turnover is terrible for a reason. People aren't dollar signs. Treat them just as well as the medical staff. If it weren't for them, you wouldn't have clean patient rooms/units. 'The sign on bonus' is strictly exploitation and exploitation only. They don't want hard workers. They want robots that don't question the system and have zero morals. Do yourself a favor and don't work in this department. You will just leave disappointed and used for your hard labor.
Robert Rosehorse: Two separate ER visits have proven that this place is worthless. Seriously, if you need help, go anywhere but here! The ER docs are woefully incompetent. They didn’t bother checking medical history that was already in their system and gave medications (Inepsine) that were clearly contraindicated by that known medical history. They (ER doc) didn’t listen, they didn’t ask questions, they just acted on very little info the nurse had collected and at the end of the day, we left worse off than when we entered. Never again!
Denise Kathleen: Worst Dr ever. Vivian just kept adding more and more meds to me without EVER seeing me or checking ANY med levels. She NEVER ONCE checked my med levels. She made me so much worse. Avoid this doctor if at all possible.
Jennifer Doe: Over many years we've had many bad experiences. This day in age, the doctor who walks in the room is the person choosing your fate. I've talked with patient advocates and nothing results from that. Husband goes in with unknown MRSA, they cut it open and sent him home with nothing. A couple months later I have it, and I got diagnosed. My son saw 3 different providers that all 3 provided the same prescription for an antibiotic that's not available, even after me explaining that happened previously. I took him to IU for proper treatment. This place used to be a recognized stroke center. Now they don't even recognize strokes until the family repeats themselves for days, then you'll find one good nurse who says, I think you're right. Well now he's a vegetable and it's a lot too late for treatment so they push him through a bunch of stuff he's not ready for. They just assumed he couldn't walk before he got there. 40 days into a hospital stay we're still explaining that he was a functional human before this. Get back to the roots of helping people and less concerned with their profits. Insurance and the staff you are served will determine your outcome. Unresting.
Roger Jetmore: I didn't get pictures of all my nurses, but you ladies were AWESOME!! Sam, Anika, Emily, Dina, Brittany, Hannah, and Kyleigh. You made my stay much better than it could have been.
Jeni Jetmore: Best of the best ICU nurses! Love them all! Could not have asked for better service for my husband! These girls deserve a raise for all they do! Very impressed ❤️ Hope I don’t miss any name but here we go Sam, Brittany, Anika,Emily,Dina, Hannah, Kyleigh!
Roger Hassig: Care of my love was good, however,For about three weeks now plus and extension on my FMLA paper work I have had little response to what happen too turned in paper work how was suppose to do it and inform of completion I’m still redoing my paper and trying to figure it outAll the while going through personal loss of said love one
Raine Wilder: Only cares about profit. Very toxic organization , run primarily by agency nurses. Unsafe.
Yuriy Freewind: It is a modern, innovative place with professional medical staff!
Sara Patterson: They have kept my friend for a surgery that they keep postponing now for a WEEK. She is in pain, missing her family and alone. They won’t give her reasons why she has yet to have surgery. How can a hospital keep someone for a week that’s in pain and no care to explain or help.
jaeden kidd: PRMC almost killed my grandmother by giving her a medicine that shouldn’t be given to people with Parkinson’s disease
Fred Frank: Extremely professional virtually everywhere throughout PRMC Campus. State of the art facilities with caring, compassionate nurses and staff. Most Dr's/surgeons equally so. Good food & great cafeteria.
DEB COWIE: My husband was recently a patient at the Parkview Regional Center in the cardiac care unit on the third floor. We found out he needed a pacemaker placed. He was admitted on a Thursday night and we found out he needed to stay until Monday for the procedure then another day for observation. My husband has a condition that requires someone be with him at all times so I stayed with him. There are no words to describe the amazing staff that helped us both. Not one bad apple in the bunch. We had staff from dietary, housekeeping, social workers, discharge planning, lab techs, X-ray staff, nursing assistance, nurses, and doctors. They treated us with such professionalism and kindness. Almost like we were their family members. The state of the art facility was kept so clean, the food was so good and served by an amazing staff.Did I mention the nursing staff? Such a wonderful group of women.I cannot say enough about the facility and staff members. They made a scary time for us into such a pleasant experience.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.Craig & DebPS: The nurses are rock stars!
Samual Lebowitz: Had a heart attack at 65 years old, and they saved my life. I was able to see the birth of my grandson because of them. God bless them for saving my life.

Parkview Hospital Randallia: Emergency Room: what do users think?
Terri Bock: Wonderful & compassionate care from the time I arrived by ambulance. They were kind and efficient. It IS the emergency department, and although they were very busy, it was a reasonable wait time. Even the staff who didn’t attend to me were nice as we passed by, telling me to take care when I left.
Steven McComb: I took my wife to the ER last night for a Mental Health Crisis and they transferred her to Parkview Behavioral Health. They had her personal belongings locked up and security had the key, purse with credit cards and ID. My wife called me and said her belongings didn’t make to PBH.I called ER and they told me the security guard said he bagged them up and sent them to PBH as of today they have not been able to find anything this is really not good especially when my wife is having a mental health crisis.
Dimelo Waterson: If you've ever wanted to wait in pain while a man with cataracts shouts at every single person asking for cigarettes (to smoke indoors), assistance putting on his socks, and otherwise complains about everyone in the waiting room, this is the ER for you. Bonus points if you aren't white and want him to make weird racial comments. If you have kids, he will also comment on your parenting. When I mentioned him to the front desk as we left, I was told "that's not your problem" and "there's nothing I can do." They then called security, after he had been free to rant and harass other prospective patients for over an hour, unnoticed. The man was in a wheelchair with a full size garbage bag full of clothes, hooked up to oxygen, literally shouting across the room at people; it's not like he was being subtle. Not to mention he mentioned waiting for a psych eval and was in a gown on leads and oxygen, indicating he was a patient.Unsure which would be worse: abandoning a mentally ill patient in the waiting room without the front desk even knowing he was there, or allowing a disruptive mentally ill person into the waiting room without him being a patient. The waiting room is designed with a security office conveniently located inside it. Of course, no one was inside.
Michaela Miller: I'll give 2 stars because when I took my daughter they had someone who helped children acclimate to the ER.The male Dr (?) was very rude and forceful when my 3 year old was not wanting to open her mouth.I went in another time and I believe it was the same doctor gave this whole attitude like I was faking it because I had chest pain and my lungs hurt. I was recovering from possible bronchitis, having a panic attack and had not yet been prescribed anxiety meds, so when it ended up being just chest pain and I think he prescribed something for coughing, I just didn't care for the whole attitude I got from him.I had someone with me who kinda got that too.Even if it was just anxiety, it needs to be treated just like any other illness.
Jesse Holt: This is the indicated, dedicated, after-hours location for the Park Center Walk-In mental health clinic next door, which is why I came here; I wanted to go there first. Sadly, this ER does not appear to be equipped to handle non-suicide mental health emergencies. Before checking-in I asked a few questions of the intake nurse, indicated my severe need, was told there was no way to know how long I might wait to be seen, and given no opportunity to explain myself before being cut off, essentially told to save it for the doctor. I left instead.
Miriah Moyer: Nurses and aides were fantastic, however, I was still held there against my will. I went in for mental health help, and after an hour and a half I told them I wanted to leave and come back another day. I was told that due to some policy, they we're allowed to let me out until I've been cleared or seen. I was there for 5 hours before I was even seen. I wasn't allowed my phone, my purse, or anything else. The nurse on duty was so angry she went to go grab someone from their office to see me. I appreciate her, but still ridiculous.
Paige: Visited this location a little bit ago fairly late at night and was immediately put off upon my arrival. The male nurse who was working the front desk that I unfortunately did not get the name of was extremely rude (being short, rolling his eyes, not listening to me) and I should of knew right then and there to just to turn around and go to a different location and if I hadn’t been in very severe pain I would of. The staff was very disorganized and scattered. They didn’t run any blood work or tests on me just a urinalysis and just told me to set up an appointment with a doctor to do additional testing who couldn’t get me in for almost two weeks despite the fact that I was severely sick and in pain, which they charted. Honestly if it wasn’t for PA Heather I would just leave 1 star. Heather was really sweet and actually helpful. She checked up on me multiple times and informed me on a lot of things I didn’t know. Ultimately, it was a very unpleasant experience. It disappointed me so much because I always have good experiences through Parkview but this was just not the case. I left in the same exact condition I came in, just more frustrated and with less money. For an emergency healthcare facility, there is, for the most part, a big lack of urgency and care for their patients at this location. I sincerely urge you to go to a different location, especially later at night, if you are in need of emergency services.
Justin Thomas: Gave Benadryl for a seizure and released the patient. Will Not Return!
Dan Sorrell: Michelle the night nurse in the ER is awesome!!! Best nurse ever. Super nice! Thank you so much!! My arm is feeling so much better!
nightingale 2008: I am So disappointed last night. My baby vomited and she so weak but we have to wait 2 hours to see Dr .How can we call Emergency? If serious patient will die soon .
Anna: Was there for an emergency visit. Everyone was very nice and caring, I saw the doctor 2 min after i was brought in, had a CT scan about 10 min later. Can not express my gratitude enough for the staff and nurses who took care of me ❤️ thank you for what you’re doing.
Crystal Garris: Nurses and doctors saved my life a few times. Thank you for your empathy and hard work!
Tin Tin: I want to rate no star to ER for what I have experienced today. I am very upset since I standing in front of front desk. Today I run to ER because my baby was having severely allergic after drinking formula. I carry my baby and walk in to ER then I stop at the front desk. Two clerks were talking instead of asking me for how they can help. One of them don’t even know how to take blood pressure correctly. When they ask me to come again to take blood pressure for second time. That’s when I decide to walk out of lobby and headed to different hospital. I stop by Parkview Even tho I gave birth at different hospital because I strongly believed that Parkview has excellent service and put patient in first. But I was wrong when good hospital have poor staff. I just want to say that if you choose this career because you love to help others then put your heart and soul into it. Or otherwise you should go somewhere else. Please leave this opportunity for other that is willing to take over to help patients With excellent service.
Lakashia Veazey: Extremely slow. Waited 4 hours to be transferred to a room upstairs. Nurse forgot my medicine and they were having a great time laughing doing what they were supposed to do. Nurse MARY. Physician assistant MEGAN/Marcus. I would never recommend this hospital. They don’t put the patients first. They take their time. Terrible

Lutheran Hospital - Emergency Room: what do users think?
Robert Robinson: On 4/4/2023 @ 9:00pm to 4/5/2023 @1:02amI took my roommate to ER for broke toe they didn't do anything that Lutheran Hospital for yeah so we left @1:30am
Ron Campos: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Worst ER IN THE CITY!!! Waiting time is very long! This has happened several times in the past. Once waited 7hours never was seen even with borderline heart attack. Today we Had to leave and go to Parkview ER. GOT IN FAST!!!
Helen Powers: Went to ER. Was seen. Was notified at 1215 am that I was being discharged. Was still sitting in room 23 at 140 am waiting to go home. Very poor coordination.
Jonathan Wilder: The ER took great care of my son this morning.
Jonathan Balasa: We went to Lutheran ER and were quickly taken to a room. We received compassionate care from every person who took care of us, from check-in to check-out. Nurses and doctors kept us moving as quickly as possible through testing and diagnosis. We are thankful for people who are doing their jobs with excellence in the midst of universal staffing challenges. Thank you to an amazing team!
mallory lebamoff: I've held off on a bad review because they did save my daughter's life 6 years ago, however this ER is NOT what it was then... Patients are waiting for HOURS, I've even seen and entire DAY! Suffering, being neglected... the nurses and doctors are trying their hardest but clearly are over worked and understaffed. Lutheran, treat your employees better so they can treat their suffering clients right. That or SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!! You are failing people. It's so sad.
Melissa Kay: I want to recognize Ashley in Registration. How I appreciate a vulnerable time for me at Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne, in the emergency department. Her ability to guide me how to apply for health benefits and willingness to help where she can. She showed kindness and built a meaningful professional experience providing comfort, honesty, dedication.Thank you Ashley!!
Amela: Absolutely horrible experience. My mom checked in at 6pm for elevated BP all day 202/120, chest pain, dizziness and arm tingling. She was called back at 830pm for vitals and EKG and then sent back out to the lobby. We waited until 1130pm to be called back into an exam room. They took her vitals again and she was hooked up to a heart monitor. Again, we wait for an additional 2 hrs before the PA Ben comes in. No bedside manner whatsoever. He ordered blood tests and a head CT. Again, we wait an additional 2 hrs for results. We left at 4am.. to make patients wait this long is ridiculous. Also, the blonde girl at the registration desk is rude as hell. Get off your phone and actually help patients out. There's no reason to be rude.
Jon: I do not recommend Lutheran Hospital. They failed me!I went in there unable to walk, unable to stand, unable to sit. The only relief I could get from my pain was lying on my right side. I was in the waiting room for an hour and a half lying on the floor moaning. Once I was seen by the ER nurses, (rude and unprofessional) they could not give me anything to lie on. I ended up lying on the floor in the triage room which was dirty. One of the nurses even told me "I wouldn't put my head too close to that floor".A Doctor evaluated me and released me unable to walk, stand or sit with a regiment of pain medication. The next day I went to Parkview Hospital. Parkview did not know what was wrong but sent me to Fort Wayne Orthopedics for an MRI. The doctors at Fort Wayne Orthopedics immediately got me an MRI, read the MRI and because they are part of the Lutheran Network, sent me back to Lutheran to be admitted to have a laminectomy procedure immediately. The laminectomy turned into a discectomy during the procedure. I had blown out two disks in my lower back putting my handicapped mother to bed, which I explained to the doctors and nurses in the first place. The surgeon told me afterward that I was in jeopardy of paralyzing myself with any wrong move. It took Six days for me to get into surgery from the onset of my back injury. So, for six days I could have become a paraplegic. They should have known to look at my back even though all my pain was in my left leg. or at least done more testing and not released me unable to move.Once I was admitted the nurses' upstairs were great before and after my surgery, that is the only reason I gave two stars. The procedure went well and I am now fully recovered.
Jay Voigt: 3 hours so far. Brother in from out of town. Back issues. Still in pain, n relief. Xrays, ultrasound done. Still waiting. ERs are such a corporation anymore
Jason Schroeder: Very horrible experience. Waited 4 hours for a CT scan for abdominal pain with little interaction. The bill came and it was over $11,000. Seriously if you can go somewhere else it is worth a try. Being charged over $2000 an hour to sit in a bed is outrageous. No surgery. Literally sent home and told to take ibuprofen for a week and see if it gets better.
Trish Renner: Wait time in the emergency department is RIDICULOUS!! people go to ER because they need help ASAP that's why people don't go to redi meds! When the ER has a 3 hour wait to be seen there's a problem!! A person's health needs to be urgent and something has to change in this ER!! We ended up leaving and have no plans to ever return. Will take our emergencies to another ER who won't make people wait for care!
Rachel Gearhart: I've been with Lutheran hospitals and physicians since 2008 and it keeps getting worse
abhishek bhambhani: If I had choice I will give them 0 stars twice we had to rush my wife to ER because she had hard time breathing and was dehydrated needed iv urgently both times we had to wait like 5 hours what’s the point of having urgent care no one should come here
Jeana Moe: Even though I had to wait, staff kept me updated and checked on me periodically.
Haley Aker: The nursing staff is so rude they do not listen to anything you have to say..
Bailey Gibson: Should have read the reviews before bringing my fiance here. The doctor came in, didn't listen to a word we said, told us he wasn't going to run tests for any of the concerns we had. Then a nurse had him pee in a cup and leave it on the counter. It's been 4 1/2 hours.. the pee is still sitting here. They haven't done anything. Apparently we're getting a CT scan at some point. It's not busy here at all. Staff standing around everywhere, but none of them seem to be in a hurry to do anything...
Cindy Bridges: I went to Er at 930pm.Not busy at all..They said they were going to do an xray at 930pm and at 1130pm heard very loud laughing from employees and kept hearing like a party going on in the ER where patients are in pain and waiting. I heard enough. I buzzed the hand held remote numerous times and just kept hearing the employee party .I needed something for pain.Wasnt comfortable there at all. I went home where I had my own Tylenol. I am switching to Parkview
Paul Goings: Got to be the worst medical facility in the world. Been here 6 hours with chest pain and trouble breathing. I read your other weak responses to the multitude of complaints. They are grossly inadequate. Lutheran sucjs!!!
Heather Smith: I’m currently sitting in the ER with my mom who has been here 5 hours waiting in excruciating pain. She even told them, 10/10 on pain scale, throwing up repeatedly, and on heavy pain meds. She has gotten blood drawn and that’s it. I’ve asked multiple times for even a bed in the hallway she could lay down on. She has a chronic disease that they have not asked about at all. If I could leave and take her to Parkview I would, but she has to go here or DuPont. This is the first review I think I’ve ever written, and I’m writing because this is completely unacceptable. There are probably 20 other patients in this waiting room, sitting here for the same amount of time or longer. While I understand that there is triage and other issues at hand, there has been no movement by the staff to even attend to the patients in the waiting room, other than basic vitals every hour. The staff has been kind, but something’s gotta give. The photo posted is from 10 minutes ago stating the Er wait time is 17 minutes.
tom JACKSON: Over 7 hours on the ER have not been seen yetWould just love a bottle of water
