Seven Sons Farms: what do users think?
Charissa Morain: Love the products, the bacon burgers weren't really my thing. Meaning I didn't really like them. But that's just me. The rest of the meat was spot on though. Definitely will order again.
Elise Lovejoy: Outstanding products. I love the fact that they don't put sugar in the products I purchased. So I can enjoy their high quality meat on the keto diet. Thank you!
A Claibourn: I love the quality of the meat. I can taste the difference between what Seven Sons Farms produces and what I get at a grocery store. I love the fact that I can create my own box cuts every month. I plan to visit the farm in the near future.
Valerie Wensel: Finding people that care about the land, the animals, and future generations is refreshing and inspiring. I ordered a large quantity of chicken breasts for the freezer and everything from the recyclable packaging and the quality of the product was exceptional. The communications and backstory provided were an added bonus. Happy I found you.
Stanimir Natchev: I bought organic free range chickens.Do not taste like organic chicken.I'm not going to get again. But this is my personal opinion...
Elisa Wall: This is our first time ordering any kind of meat box. We were so excited to hear about Seven Sons! The shipping and delivery of the meat were perfect! They have great prices and deals for the quality of meat. We have enjoyed EVERYTHING so far!
Dan Johnson: Excellent service and meats. I had never cooked a pork belly before. I learned a lot and it was delicious. Great service!
Kim Horn: We are very pleased with the quality of the meat we ordered! Slow cooked two pork roasts for the family and they devoured it! Delivery was as promised and very professional. I love that they are local and love knowing these animals were given a happy life on this farm.
Juan Macias: This was my first experience with Seven Sons Farms, I sent a package of steaks and chicken to my parents. The reports I got were fantastic, my Dad said I forgot what real meat tasted like.I look forward to stocking my own freezer next.
Mildred Riddle: Every package has arrived well insulated & intact. What's inside is always best quality (and delicious). It's a pleasure to deal with farmers who care about the environment both above and below the soil. Keep up the great work!
Marie Hallmark: Delicious products. Well packaged and timely delivery. I have enjoyed the pork chops, steaks, lamb chops and chicken. All GREAT QUALITY. Looking forward to discovering more products.Highly recommend.
Trish Hogan: Delicious! I'll never buy supermarket meat again!
Paula Hays Bryant: I’m so grateful that I found Seven Sons Farms. I ordered a selection of beef; steaks burgers and roasts etc. my husband and I are very happy with the taste and texture of the product. The filets were tender and delicious. The hamburgers were excellent. I wanted some organic and grass fed natural beef. I’ll be purchasing from Seven Sons Farms again soon.
Linda Spade: Great first experience! We are trying to eat healthier. I want to go with grass feed meats. I purchased chicken and ground beef to start with. Meat was frozen upon unpacking and tasted great when prepared!! Ordered on line with ease. Next I will look into the eggs!
Gerard Tolsma: so far I have tried the bison burger which is delicious. I used 1 lb of the beef fat to make a topical cream which I use for my psoriasis. I put 1 lb of the gras fed beef fat in a good sized pan with a little bit of water and put it on medium heat for 20 minutes then I use a cheesecloth to strain and let it cool then I added 2 tablespoons of olive oil to it and. 4 to 5 drops of essential oil and then put it in the refrigerator to cool and then I used a hand held mixer and beat it until nice and creamy. It makes for a smooth skin moistureizer. I love the flavor of the beef sticks but it's a little bit tough to chew so I cut it up in small pieces. I have not tried the Bison roast yet but looking forward to it. I'm very satisfied with my experience with Devon Sons Farms quality and how it's shipped
Kristin Morris: I’m giving this Farm/Company a five stars rating BECAUSE I believe in what they’re doing and want it to do well! I want this sort of business to thrive and multiply, because we simply NEED it! The videos and emails explaining regenerative farming and the way they rotate their land, moveable chicken houses, pigs grazing after the cattle, etc. are fantastic and I really appreciate all that education and transparency! I’m perfectly happy with the quality meat I received and am trying to stretch it out every 2 months with a subscription, supplementing what I get from Seven Sons with what I can find in my local markets. All that said, I do hope they will improve upon, however, is the customer service on the personal communication and online shopping “end” because they greeted my inbox with a $20 coupon good for my next order upon becoming a new customer; I tried to use it to do a single purchase of some Easter ham specials on their website and all I could do was to “add to my subscription” which doesn’t come til May, and even then there was no way to put the coupon onto my subscription. So I wasn’t able to use that carrot dangled in front of me at all. I sent a reply to that email explaining my trouble and asking for help, several days or a week ago, and no answer. When they step up that game they’ll be perfect in my book.
Teresa Ferguson: Very high quality and Delicious!
Sandra Squires: The beef was delicious and will be ordering again in the near future
Karly Cruce: This meat is so delicious! We tried a variety package first, and then made a big order! It’s worth the money for knowing where our meat is coming from and the taste is so good! I can also tell such a difference when cooking it and even how it cuts from what I buy it the store. Looking forward to trying more of what they have to offer! Also a plus that I don’t have to buy from stores and it’s delivered straight to my door!
Melissa Bishop: The lamb we ordered was amazing! I had never tried lamb stew before, but now am seriously in love with it.
Tim Parsons: great meat and food and greatly to be talked about and eaten........

Ronald Tinkle: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sean Smullen: Wait staff was fantastic! The food on the other hand ehhh. We had the prosciutto app which was great and the oyster on a half Bienville style were fantastic! Now on the steak we had a choice of skirt or "speical" reserved steak. So we went with the "special" per our waitress and it was the toughest most inconsistent piece of meat I have had out of a restaurant in a long time. Other than the tough main course (steak) what they are known for, it wasn't a bad experience.
Jesse Rinard: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Wagyu Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Farm VegetablesMore
Dane Leitch: Excellent across the board. The filet, the duck, the drinks, the creme brulee. All fantastic. Truly an experience well worth waiting for. We had to reschedule twice and were sad to keep having to change. Definitely will be back time and again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Wagyu Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Farm Vegetables, Salad with Wagyu Beef, Seared Duck Breast …More
Scott R. Frick: Great atmosphere and setting. Enjoyed a Valentine Day dinner with my wife and no complaints until the end. We were neglected at the end of the main course and desert portion as our server was catering to one adjacent table. We were finished and had to wait longer than normal to get desert ordered and our bill.Other than that, it was a fantastic evening.
jeffrey kachmann: Phenomenal flavorings, servers, and atmosphere here--as always! More fish and seafood options would help!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Wagyu Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Sautéed Farm Vegetables, Kale Dip …More

Nathan R: I wasn’t bad, but I thought it was very overrated. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get. $95 for a small filet and a small amount of potatoes and vegetables. My old fashioned was really good. The banana foster donut holes were too alcoholic and salty tasting. Honestly, we could have gotten a more robust meal at Ruth’s Chris, and it would have been less expensive. I did not notice a quality difference in the filet between both places if there is any. The service was good. While not the restaurant’s fault, you occasionally get customers that are loud, pretentious, and act a fool in places like this. This visit was no exception. The customer in question ultimately invaded our space looking at the paintings in the dining room.
Agnes Lytle: Enjoyed the wagyu! Food was great. Best husband took me for anniversary. One for the books
Samual Lebowitz: Excellent food, great story, and the best service in town. I am an older person, who was fortunate to travel in my time. Now that I am retired I don't travel much, but when I eat here it reminds me of the some of the best dining experiences I have had during my 69 years on this earth. Keep up the good work guys!
Jonathan Lindstrom: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jordyn Dryden - Illuminate Photo Co.: I recently photographed a wedding at Joseph Decuis Farms and I couldn't speak more highly of the entire experience. It was such a beautiful and well run event. The day went so smoothly, the venue is an absolute dream (with so many great locations for photos), the food was out of this world (I've been talking about the chicken and waffles and praline bacon for months), and multiple times throughout the day I saw not just the staff and team but also the owners making sure things were well executed and going smoothly. I've worked at so many venues and this one is top notch. I cannot recommend them enough.
Kyle Herman: Nice romantic dinner with my wife. Excellent service and food. The waygu beef was one of the best if not the best steak I've had.
Nicole Flora: Everything was amazing, our waitress was so pleasant and informative of all of our dishes and the wine pairing.
Britnie Stanley: Went there with a group, for a 50th anniversary. Had a decent experience with table waitress. Food was ill prepared. After checks were paid, and tip was left, myself and one other party member used the restroom. Leaving the restroom, a staff member decided, as I was 30ft from the door that I must not leave without a mask, even though I'm medically exempt. She physically stood in my way as I tried to leave and force a mask on me. When I averted, around her she then grabbed my wrist, physically grabbed my wrist, and held me back from leaving, without a mask on. This is 3 days before the Indiana State mandate will be lifted, and again, myself being medically exempt. This is not acceptable for anyone to physically assault a paying patron, for any reason. I will be addressing this situation through an attorney, and the law. Update... After speaking with the Marshall James Wood, (who is policing over this area as they have little to no police force) it seems his prediction was right. Though the Marshall brought charges against the employee for assault, the prosecutor, per Marshall James Wood, "it's a small town and everyone is close" the prosector decided Laura Taper (manager who physically assaulted me) was above the law and won't prosecute assault charges. I mean why would he do his job, this is a "Decuis" employee of course, he may not get good perks if he does his job and prosecutes... this place isn't worth the money for sure. The staff obviously disgusting in their treatment of the customer. The cleanliness of this restaurant and competency of the staff are sub par and the management above the law, allowed to physically assault their patrons without consequence. Would never recommend such a place after this appalling experience.
Gin iys: I'll repost as it's important. This place has the worst wagyu that I've tried. As I've researched wagyu Joseph Decuis is not a place you want to have your first experience with wagyu. I will also reiterate that the employees were less than satisfactory when we attended for a marriage anniversary. They manager accosted me as I left the restroom, (prepared to leave the entire restaurant.) She grabbed my wrist and attempted to force a mask over my face. After reporting her to law enforcement I was advised by the officer that it's very unlikely that she would have charges pressed against her because of the Decuis's connection to the persecuting attorney. This was absolutely the case. Nothing was ever pursued, and I was never contacted by the prosecutor about this woman literally putting her hands on me accosting me inside of their restaurant. This is not a place that you would want to go if you want to have a great experience with wagyu, accompanied with good service.
Cody Kraus: I'm writing this the day after my wife's birthday dinner at Joseph Decuis and the best word to describe how I feel about the whole experience is embarrassed. I'm embarrassed to have spent $400 on a meal for two that was seemingly prepared with a lack of care.We ordered the charcuterie board and though we enjoyed the meats, cheeses and spreads, the bread was so oddly salty. It's as if they toasted it with salted butter and then proceeded to salt it again. I can handle some salt so I wasn't up in arms about it, but it was certainly odd.Next up was the wedge salad. Presentation was stunning with a heavy dusting of bread crumbs. I'd never seen a wedge salad done that way. Upon the first bite I am shocked - way too salty. Like what? Other than the bread crumbs, it was topped with capers and bacon, which are inherently salty in their own right. But the overwhelming salt seemed to be coming from the bread crumbs, which coated the entire salad. My wife and I were both beside ourselves after round two of immense salt, but we still didn't say anything. It was at this point that we realized we were not impressed with this establishment, but we were still optimistic about our main course and the restaurant's flagship dish - the 5 oz Wagyu strip steak. My mouth was watering as the steaks were dropped off and in hindsight, I'm not sure if that was because it looked appetizing or if it was because my body was trying to contend with its elevated sodium levels. First bite of steak was perfect. Finally, the chef redeemed himself. I make my way to the mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables, which included cauliflower, carrots and parsnips. Not the nicest presentation as they were all mounded together under the steak with no delineation between mashed potatoes and vegetables, but whatever - it wasn't the star of the dish. First bite of that...no way. Total salt bomb. Seriously to the point of being inedible. At this point, I feel defeated. Now, I never complain at restaurants but after this experience and with also knowing that our bill was going to be at least over $300, I had to say something. I'm going to backtrack and say that our server, Michelle, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly and attentive and the reason why this review gets two starts instead of one. Upon telling her, she apologized sincerely and I got the hint that it wasn't the first time she had heard that about the chef. She offers us dessert on the house, which was much appreciated. We decided to stick with sherry as weren't feeling inspired by the kitchen's dessert offerings. My wife and I have both worked in hospitality. Front of house talks to the kitchen - I'm certain the chef was informed of our complaints. A few minutes later, we see him come out of the kitchen. He makes eye contact with my wife, likely just long enough to identify us, and then proceeds to walk into the opposing dining room. For a $400 meal, I would have appreciated hearing from the chef. We're not confrontation people, and we certainly don't like to complain, but an apology or any admission of fault would have gone a long way. And further, I can't even believe I'm still writing this. But again, I'm embarrassed and somewhat mad that a restaurant can get away with charging that much for a meal that is borderline inedible.
Kylie Johnson: It was such an incredible night!! Absolutely incredible service and food!Dine in: Yes …More
Ruben Santos: We had the wagyu fullblood, calamari, crab/pasta and the wedge salad. The food was very good and prepared to perfection. The wedge had a twist from what im used to and it was great. The calamari was not the typical fried/breaded platter that I normally see but it was small portioned with a very complementary sauce. The drinks and staff were nice as well. The wagyu tasted like a great steak. I couldn't tell the difference between wagyu and the other top grade steaks from other fine restaurants. This didn't meet my expectation as I was looking for something to really set it apart from other great steaks via texture or flavor. It was delicious and very good but typical.

Tolon: what do users think?
Peter Edwards: We have been to Tolon several times. Always my favorite. 4/8/23 had the noodle bowl for the first time and it was GREAT. Love the food, love the staff (shout out Emily), and love the environment. We will go every chance we get.
Daria Lee: Recommended dishes Duck Ragout Pasta, Duck Fat FritesMore
Aubrey Laskowski: ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing. I came to visit Ft. Wayne from out of town and had a few bad culinary experiences while there, but Tolon made my trip completely worth it. I got the Tolon spiced tea (which I bought a sachet of to bring home), biscuits, and vegetarian breakfast rice. Our waitress was kind, polite, and talkative; she made great suggestions, but I doubt anything on their menu was bad. Seriously amazing food, if you're in Ft. Wayne it's a must-try.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options, but even more importantly they mentioned on the menu when something was optionally vegetarian!
Giselle Bustrum: Fabulous atmosphere! Devoured every morsel of food. I recommend the butternut soup, so good for the soul!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Salad, Duck Fat Frites, Deviled Eggs …More

August Yingling: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tolon, an upscale restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the beautiful decor - the walls were adorned with stunning murals, and the natural wood tables lent a cozy, yet chic vibe to the place. The kitchen was also visible, which added to the overall ambiance. The menu was diverse, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. However, what stood out to me was the kale and apple salad. It was truly exquisite, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the presentation was also impeccable. Now, I do have to mention one slight disappointment during my visit - the absence of fries on the menu. As someone who loves a good plate of fries, I couldn't help but feel that my experience would have been even better if I had been able to indulge in some crispy goodness. However, this did not detract from the overall quality of the meal.In conclusion, if you're looking for a restaurant that offers both exceptional food and a visually stunning atmosphere, Tolon is definitely worth a visit. While I did miss having fries with my meal, the kale and apple salad more than made up for it.
Logan Black: The food was fantastic. We love coming to the Tolon for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. The service is amazing, and the atmosphere is very nice.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chicken and Waffles, Salad, Bourbon & Brown Sugar Ice Cream, Duck Fat Frites, Adobo Chicken Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Paid parking lot, Paid parking garage …More

Tracy Mantel: My group had a great time at Tolon- and even last minute accommodated our two separate reservations so we could eat together. Fantastic cocktails, great service, overall just a fantastic experience. Not pictured the delicious deviled eggs (because we were so excited we couldn’t stop for pictures), my husband had the pork chop and I had the bison pasta. Delicious!
Amy Barr: First time visit did NOT dissapoint!Definately try the squash soup for starts!!Any meal is worthy!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joseph Vaccaro: Love coming here for brunch. This place is great every other day or night of the week but the brunch menu is my favorite. Chicken and waffles, best in town, best I have ever had. Kitchen is super clean. Execution is perfect. Decor and service is bar none. The bar serves up local premium spirits. The old fashioned has a cinnamon taste and is delicious. You will need a reservation if you want to have a table. Bar is usually open with a few seats. Don't miss out.
Darren Barnes: I really wanted to like Tolon. The concept and menu sounded delicious, but in the end poor execution left me wanting. We went for brunch and left quite disappointed. We each ordered a Bloody Mary to drink and some of the biscuits everyone seemed to be raving about. For entrées I had the shrimp and grits and my wife the chicken & waffles.I love all manner of Bloody Mary, but made it about halfway through this one before I had to throw in the towel. Each sip was just a mouthful of horseradish finished with watered down tomato juice. I didn't get any other flavors, including the spirit. I typically love a horseradish heavy Bloody Mary and I have sampled tons of house Bloody mixes that were amazing. This just missed the mark entirely. With no other flavor to offset the horseradish and the house mix being nothing more than flavorless tomatoes run through a juicer it was ultimately undrinkable. The biscuits were honestly the only part of the visit that demonstrated any culinary aptitude whatsoever. Dense, flavorful, appropriately seasoned and baked to perfection. I can see why these are the big take away for so many patrons. However, even on this plate the house made berry bourbon jam was a disappointment. Not a jam at all, just a runny syrup with a few macerated berries. My shrimp and grits were as inedible as my Bloody was undrinkable. Blackened shrimp fell victim to what happens to many blackened dishes prepared by anything other than a chef with a lot of experience in the style. Just a mouthful of black pepper and old bay. Barely even picked up any shrimp flavor on the back end. Offset this with grits and andouille so salty that I'm pretty sure they altered my serum osmolality. I ate maybe 5 bites before calling it.Wife's chicken was similarly problematic. While the texture of the breading was close to that of a good Nashville hot chicken, the flavor was nothing but a mouthful of black pepper. At this point I'm seeing a trend in this kitchen 🤔.I have often been accused of liking food too spicy, and I enjoy all manner of strong flavors. So for me to have these complaints... It wasn't that anything was too spicy or strong, the flavors were just wrong.Bottom line: we ultimately spent a lot of money on food that just wasn't prepared well and didn't taste good. Our server, after over emphasizing the farm to table shtick to the point of tedium, failed to recognize that there was a bunch of picked over food on the table which clearly had not been enjoyed. When a table asks for the check and they have barely touched their meals you might want to investigate beyond the fact that they do not want boxes for any of it.2 stars for effort.I reserve 1 star for full on calamity or complete lack of customer service, but I really cannot imagine being enticed to return to Tolon. Especially with delicious options like Nawa & Mercado right across the street.P.S. Any establishment with negative reviews which mention the owner by name, confirmed by the owner's argumentative and unprofessional replies should be a HUGE red flag to anyone with half a brain. At this point I'm just thankful we didn't encounter Nicky during our visit! 😂
Abimael Gutiérrez: My friend and I had the ribeye topped with butter with Yukon gold potatoes. The portion was substantial. The food was very good. I had an old fashioned to drink as well. We had the most expensive meal by far. Two can usually get out of here for under $60, but our bill was $120. Our waiter was excellent and right on top of things. He saw I splattered grease from my steak on my shirt and offered some soda water to clean up without me asking. Parking here is difficult. At 5:15 on a Friday, we had to circle the block several times to catch someone pulling out.
Rick Crow: The staff were great as was the food. We were there for brunch and both had the dutch baby. Warning: one of those could feed at least two people … especially if you have the drop biscuits before … oof! I’d like to see more breakfast food options offered with the brunch menu, personally, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we had.Recommended dishes Dutch Baby, French Press Coffee …More

Entrees were the Pork Chop and Ribeye. Both were sooo good. Portions gave us leftovers! Great two times! Dessert was chocolate sorbet with roasted coconut shavings. The food was fantastic. Drinks were great. Such a great time. Wish I lived closer to come back. You won't regret visiting here!
Aman Sattar: The best restaurant in Fort Wayne! Really good food and atmosphere and great cocktails. Friendly staff and knowledgable on their menu. Highly recommend!
