Black Canyon Restaurant: what do users think?
candace pescosolido: Wonderful food. Best chefs in town I believe. Staff is welcoming and courteous. And they just started a loyalty card program. It is a bit pricey, but the taste of their food is outstanding so it's justified.Kids meals are giant sized.Kid-friendliness: Kid menus coloring pages, large kids meals free drink refills. Family friendly with an upscale atmosphere
Hilary Harris: Always delicious drinks! The chicken strips are like no other chicken strips you will ever get! So yummy!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Rylan Kauffman: Fantastic lunch and dinner spot with good food, nice atmosphere and decent prices. Perfect date night spot!
McKenzie Brouk: We went in on Easter Sunday as it was also my birthday & one of the few restaurants open in Ft. Wayne. It was brunch style and the food had been mostly picked over. All the staff seemed very disinterested to be there, which I understand because of the holiday, but you also have customers who are at your restaurant for a reason. A server was in a rush to get home and made it very apparent. To top it all off…my fiancé didn’t tip much as it was buffet style & we didn’t get the normal experience you would expect coming to a nice restaurant. Well the server/hostess/manger/whoever decided to add an extra number onto the tip, which is fraud. He got a much larger charge on his credit card this morning (a $40 additional tip) Very disappointed with this whole experience. I usually don’t write many google reviews, but was very disappointed with this restaurant on Sunday.
Kiki Kell: Lobster mac and cheese was the highlight. Generous chunks of Lobster made this dish phenomenal.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Nicholas Carpenter: My wife and I discovered this establishment about 3 years ago. I am so happy that we did. The food is just absolutely out of this world amazing! The ribs are always cooked perfectly! It doesn't seem to matter what we order everything is always cooked to perfection. ❤️ I can't sing enough praise about Black Canyon. We will come back time and time again!
Nic Bickel: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Tuna Poke, Blackened SalmonMore
Lori Lecea: Had lunch all you care to enjoy soup and salad. Waitress didn't ask if we needed anything after dropping food off. Flagged her down to put in another order of a salad. didn't know there is a refill charge until the bill. Must have been a bad day for them. This restaurant wasn't extremely busy plenty of empty tables. This was our 1st time and not feeling it was an inviting environment.
J. W.: Not impressed, especially not for the price. Caesar salad, $7, not really that flavorful, lacked enough dressing, and if there was more, the acidic component of the dressing would really put a sour taste in your mouth, it was some sort of vinegar. I tasted the romaine lettuce, more than the dressing. The sirloin, $27-29, for 10oz, for boasting on the menu as being aged for 28 days, was rather tough, luckily I got it medium, which was borderline of medium well, so it had some juice still in it, which any more done, I would have to dunk it in my iced tea. Maybe their more expensove market prices cuts of meats are better, I'll never know. My side dish, the steamed broccoli, was the most flavorful, although it had some sort of cheese on it, the same as what was in the Caesar salad, which I don't like, and it wasn't stated on the menu, oh well....their own personal flair on food. The server, asked what I wanted, and that's about it. She didn't ask how the food was, or if I needed any steak sauce or anything else, just asked if I needed dessert. My card was in my hand to pay, before she even came with the check. Longhorn's is better, far better worth the money, Texas Roadhouse is always an experience, at a more reasonable price. All on all, I won't go back.
Zoë Carver: Incredible service, accommodated our 11 month old wonderfully, and the best food and drinks I’ve ever had. Would 10/10 recommend their featured dessert, steak tacos, and pink raspberry martini !!’
Ana Ruiz Bacon: Finally! A Sexy, classy, Restaurant on the North side of town. Very busy, great atmosphere. Nothing beats the happy buzz of satisfied customers. The staff were very professional and experienced. The kitchen sights and sounds, coupled with the delicious smells kept me entertained as I witnessed a parade of beautifully executed dishes marching on to their respective tables. They have a great beverage menu and the bartenders were top notch. Hard working and going full tilt to meet the demand. Still managing to be attentive and prompt to the ones sitting at the bar, where I sat. I ordered a Mezcal Paloma and a half order of BC Oysters, served w french bread, could not have been a better meal for one. As I was taking myself out on a date. Just lovely.
Bill Hanford: We had 6 in our party and everybody complimented the food as well as the service. For myself and my wife, it was our first time there and we will be going back. She had shrimp tacos and I had the two bone in porkchops. We both left satisfied, though I should have taken the second chop home for a leftover, I was over stuffed.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Loaded Baked Potato …More

Rob Gasser: From the appetizers to the main courses and then desserts, the food was incredible. The beers on draft weren't updated, so I had to keep asking if another one was available. Service was good, but our server didn't check back often enough. Rick Phipps: We went there for our 20th anniversary dinner last night waitress was good and charming. DO NOT GET THE LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE. The meat was from the tips of small tentacle pieces. Everything else was very good. Update from last time there. I took wife there for birthday we were seated within 10 minutes we order wine appetizer and entree. Slowest service ever. second glass of wine took 30 minutes when it finally came the glass was hot as it just came from the dishwasher waitress said they ran out glasses it ruined the wine another half hour passed and still no food we should of left we didn't finally food came by now we had no desire for food. We payed and left. We won't be back m.

Chris Larimer: On our last visit (3/18/23), everyone must have been sleeping off their St. Patty’s hangover. My wife ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. Turns out, it’s no longer a breaded chicken fillet dipped in hot sauce. Nope - it was 3 tiny chicken tenders (1.5” x 3”) from the kids menu that they had repurposed into sandwich filler. Additionally, they were just over room temperature when it got to the table. We waited for the server to come check on us so we could let her know; it was more than 15 minutes before we saw her again. And then we weren’t offered a replacement - she just said she’d let the kitchen know. 🤷‍♂️I had the meatloaf. It was a decent portion of under-salted meat that was slathered in a bottled sweet-n-sour sauce they called “bourbon onion gravy.” Maybe it’s because I lived in KY for more than a decade, but I couldn’t make out any bourbon or onion…just diced canned peppers & high fructose corn syrup. Of the 12 green beans served with my meal, one had the stalk still attached! Because of the odd construction (bread, gravy, beans, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, & topped with onion straws) I couldn’t see it so I had the delightful experience of biting into a twig. Thankfully, the undercooked lumps of red potato in the “mash” were there to distract me from the disaster which lay underneath.I was there for my birthday meal (BOGO up to $15) - that money-saving coupon is the only thing keeping this from being a 1-star review. Disappointing. This place used to be good, but quality has certainly slipped in the last 18 months. (For reference, we go there 3-5 times a year.)

Erik Boswell: Holy Tastiness Batman!! I had the Whiskey Salmon tonight with tasty tasty asparagus and honestly, this is not a joke people, the ABSOLUTE BEST TASTING MASHED POTATOES IVE EVER HAD PERIOD BUT DO NOT TELL MY MOM.I ate every.. single.. bite and then some!! The apps were amazing. Our sever was amazing. My dinner was ABOVE AND BEYOND!! Get there now to try this! I’m still dreaming about it!
Madison M: Ended up here after a long day at the Coliseum around 5:30ish on a Saturday. No wait if we sat at the bar, so we did! We had great service from the bartenders. I ordered a Mojito. Honestly was not the best and wouldn’t have been surprised if there was no alcohol in it. My next stop was a beer. I had the chicken sliders which were okay but didn’t seem totally fresh. I will say that I wasn’t overwhelmed by my first experience here, however, maybe I just ordered the wrong things. I’ve heard great things about their Sunday brunch! Bathrooms were really gross. I personally wouldn’t come back especially since I’m not from the area.
Eric Overmyer: Love it here!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Chad Eversole: Stopped in for lunch yesterday and my wife and I both ordered the "prime rib" sandwich. What we received were shoe leather sandwiches on a stale bun with generic store bought crinkle cut fries, $17.50 each. The service was excellent, but the food was just horrific
Ryan Stucky: We spent 4 hours at this restaurant. It was busy but it took an hour and a half to get our food! The manager was extremely rude and didn't care that we had little kids and just wanted to get our food and get out of there ... never going back!
Biniyam Begna: The unlimited fried fish was really goodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bryan Conwell: Excellent food and atmosphere!!!
Abimael Gutiérrez: The food! Oh my, the food was SPECTACULAR! The starter salads that came with the meal were wonderfully delicious!!! The combination of their house vinaigrette, blue cheese, and walnuts on the salad was very tasty! I ordered the Mediterranean shrimp scampi with melted cheeses. The goat cheese was just enough to make the dish pop with flavor!
Darian Massengill: We stopped by here when we came to town to sell my vehicle to the carmax next door and boy are we glad we came here!! We came here twice and got different meals each time and all of them were AMAZING. the chicken tuscano was our absolute favorite. The service here is absolutely amazing! Kiera is so sweet and was a pleasure to talk to and she took great care of us!

Jennifer Lee: First time me being here and got to come on this day valentines day.. me n my husband really enjoyed ourselves and Kiera was our waitress she was really helpful kind and sweet....we will be coming back....❤️🤗
J B: I had the "Mix & Match" - BLT & Asian Salad. Both were very tasty. Tried this several months ago as a carry-out order and enjoyed it. Ordered it again, but this time as a dine-in order. The waitress had good timing, polite, and professional. Both experiences were nice!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Catherine Ortiz: My husband and I were not impressed. We had some high expectations and we were disappointed with the lack of class, seasoning, and sloppy plating. For the price we were expecting a lot more. Our waiter was friendly, but I think new and not very knowledgeable about the menu. We would have a hard time coming back.

Chad Harnish: This place is amazing. If you want perfectly executed dishes with complex amazing layers of flavors at the molecular gastronomy level, this is the place. I had the duck braised in mole sauce with an amazing garnish. Ifbyou can't move beyond steak and potatoes flavor profile, stay home. If you can, this place is one of the top ten I've eaten at and I eat at many places like this.
Amber Toombs: I made reservations for a surprise birthday party in a private room at Baker Street Steakhouse. Through an unfortunate series of mistakes and miscommunications my reservation was cancelled.I was contacted by the owner of Baker Street Steakhouse, James who personally took time to speak with me. Not only did he speak with me, he heard me. I was not rushed and I feel he genuinely cared.I was treated as a person and not just another lost sales opportunity. He went above and beyond to fix all of the wrongs and then some. James arranged for my mothers party to be held at another one of his restaurants, Proximo. He personalized the menu which even said Happy Birthday Karen, he even gave complimentary chocolates and gift cards, and treated the entire party like his own family. Everyone left the restaurant with an amazing experience. The service was phenomenal. No one's glass was ever less than half full, the food was superb, quick, and friendly service was experienced all night. From this experience I have learned that when Baker Street says they want you to be treated like family, they truly mean it! This has opened my eyes and gives me hope that there are still decent people among us. A business that cares. In a world where customer service is failing Baker Street is rising to the top and proving themselves a top performer. The way Baker Street responded to this mistake was absolutely amazing and I can not say enough good things at this point. James and his staff created a fairy tale situation for my mother and I am forever grateful! The party was better than anything I could do and the attention to detail was unmatched.Thank you Baker Street and Proximo we'll see ya'll soon!
Karen Burnside: Have you ever been treated like Cinderella? Me neither until 2/18/2023. I had a surprise birthday party at Proximo Restaurant which is owned by Baker Street. I was told there had been a mix up with reservations prior to the dinner but owner James made everything 200% right.Never in my 70 years have I ever seen the generosity and care that the owner shown me. I wish I were a writer so I could put into words how I feel. I am so blessed to have a loving family, friends, and James who made my fairy tale come true.
