Google User: What misery removing our business trash and recycle. Never on time and days late or not showing up at all. Phone calls don’t help. Had to remove trash ourselves some days. Said they don’t have drivers. No credit or compensation for missed pick ups. Avoid at all costs to save your sanity. No One: UPDATE: They never came and picked up my trash during the last week of service. So, I took it to them and left it at the entrance to their facility. They never came and picked up their trashcan, which I couldn’t get in my car.Aside from some whining from the driver having to pick up extra trash right after we moved in, the service was pretty good until about seven months ago. Since then, we don’t know if our trash is going to get picked up. We call customer service and report the missed pick up. We’re told it will be later that day. If you call again later in the day, they tell you to be the next day. This last time, it was three days before they told us they canceled our route for the week. To even find that out, I still had to call them.Did they automatically credit my account for the missed pick up? Of course not! I had to call and ask for it.We finally got sick of this and went with a different garbage collector. I was told my service will be ending next week. After confirming after another phone call about not getting our trash picked up, I found out instead that they are holding us hostage until the end of the month. Because of the repeated miscommunication, I had to call and change my arrangements with my new garbage company.They also damaged our yard by throwing the trashcan down in the grass. If we call they'll give us a credit, but why should we have to call for that. They know they didn't pick up the garbage. We switched to a different company as of last week. Apparently the other company has heard how bad the service was getting at Republic.
K M: $400 bill for 3 months. Con.We can't even switch since supposedly we signed a 2 year contract thar we don't even remember signing. Then it turns out we were lied to by the first service representative and arnt under contract. The next customer service person was extremely nice and honest and our pickups are consistent and well done, but the price is insane.They also will sometimes take out anything that's preventing the lid from closing. Not even like a huge heaping load pulled off. They'll take off a bag that's a little to high and just leave it. So these crazy prices and they don't even take it all.

Connie: Have had Republic for many years. Service has been satisfactory majority of time. Understand need for small increases but not increases of $38 for one increase. We average one maybe two bags per week. Never fill container. Cannot justify neighbor with four children overflowing container and ours with one bag have the same cost. Daniel Hodges: This company took over my service from earth first, which was a good provider. Immediately they jacked the prices up. To keep prices budgetable I prepaid a whole year at a time for several years. When they sent me a proposed billing that was outrageous I didn't pay it. I called them and attempted to negotiate a better price but the lady swore at me so I canceled service. Then they turn me over to a collection company for a bogus billing of $180 for less than 3 months. It's going to be funny when I countersue them for deceptive business practices. Poor business ethics, avoid this company!

Dave Whitney: GFL is a MAJOR improvement over Red River. They've been a lot more responsible about fully emptying the trash and recycle bins, and putting them back where they found them. I'm writing this review because the driver just went the extra mile for us a few minutes ago. Our trash was picked up earlier today, but about an hour ago we discovered our freezer went out so we had a lot of thawed foods we had just bagged. My wife noticed the trash truck coming down the street, apparently to pick up someone else's late trash. She ran outside, threw the bags in the bin and started running down the drive with the trash can but she was too late... truck was already cruising past the house and down the street. Bummer. Devon “Moore JDM” Moore: I work for this company and I enjoy it. Yes it has pros and cons like any other work place but people fail to realize these men and women that work here are only human and mistakes happen these people are learning new routes and most efficient ways to clean and clear the community of proper trash and recycling. People always seem to complain about the small and simple things. I believe the city of fort Wayne needs to specify to the community about the bulk items people have and what to do with them.... End of the day I genuinely hear more people happy and pleased with this company compared to red river and hopefully GFL sticks around.

Bryce Frederick: I did not recieve thier service but rather encountered one of thier drivers who was weaving in and out of traffic without a turnsignal while on his phone. When we got to a stop light he was less than 2 feet from my bumper and when he passed me he flipped me off and my only assumption is i was going too slow becausr i have a super small car with. An even smaller engine. All of this happened with my wife and children in the car as well
