Music Go Round Castleton: what do users think?
Monotone Matt: This business is extremely shady Imo from my experience with them!Imo I would not trust them with your money. I lost a lot of money because of them and their, imo, shady practices!!!!Please do not leave an owner response. I have a severe condition that I could end up in the hospital with. Thank you!
Donald Roudebush: Excellent service
Ross Ebert: Came in looking for a windscreen for my condenser mic that none of the other big box stores seemed carry! These guys had it!! Absolutely some of the nicest guys to talk to and also very knowledgeable about the gear you need. Superb prices, so don’t waste your time with the other stores near Music Go Round. It literally is a one stop shop for all of your needs! Ross w/TrikFM.
Rusty Shackleford: This was my first time coming into the shop. The guitarist in my band turned me on to the place as they had just got a new jazzmaster I had been lusting after. I brought in a bunch of stuff for trade and they diligently went through all my gear, and even though it took all day (they were slammed the whole day) they got everything tested and priced for me. Sadly I was a little short on the jazzmaster I wanted but was able to score a killer jagarillo that I'd been wanting for years. Guys in the shop were a joy to be around and the shop looked and felt great. Definitely going to be back.
Jacob LaGuire: Nice store, bought a guitar stand and some Eddie Van Halen picks, I will be coming back soon!
Ernest Rusucarp: Paul and staff are amazing people. They're personable as folks get, they help you get exactly what your looking for. For me it's an hours drive out and totally worth it.
Samuel J. Lawson: Good, knowledgeable musicians and sound professionals who know their stuff.
Elkas Zenith: Terrible experience eveytime I’ve went in there. Apparently you can’t play the instruments that are over a certain price. Total hipster entitled customer service… remember you never know who’s walking thru your door especially your commission based
Chris Holland: They always are quick and do a great job on repairs
Donna Cherry: I brought my favorite amplifier ( genz-benz) to get checked out since it was making static type noise .Paul told me to bring it in to see if it could be fixed quickly and might be a minor problem. He was able to clean the 1/4 ports and solved the problem. These guys are the best.-don cherry
Deirdre Conlon: I dropped in today with my 2 kids to get help with a new string on my daughter’s 3 string kids guitar and Wade was super helpful. I don’t know anything about guitars and he took the time to figure out the right string for the guitar type and showed me how to change it. Our purchase was very modest compared to others at the store and I was really happy with the time taken to help us out. Will be back for any other guitar needs we have! Thanks for your help today Wade!
Briton Beaumont: Great spot for used gear! Diverse selection of gear for all styles of music at reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff make you feel welcome. They have taken care of me on several occasions!
brian c johnson: GREAT service. Took care of a repair to my bass while I waited. In and out less than 15 minutes
Steve Bubalo: Paul, Scott and the team are great! Always fair and honest. We bought a used guitar from them about 4 years ago and took it in for a full “set up”. They got it done quickly, but when we picked it up there was a miscommunication between us and them on how we wanted it tuned. They changed it in a couple minutes at no charge, even though we might not have specifically said we wanted it tuned to a specific key. Great work thanks!
Danny Bubalo: Everyone there was very kind and my guitar sounds great
Scott Kelly: I bought a fairly expensive guitar online and was very uneasy about doing so. These guys nailed it! I couldn't have been happier with my purchase. They packaged it beautifully, and it was exactly as described. would highly recommend
Kamaron Lockwood: Great selection of gear and the staff really is helpful! I needed a special screw for a piece of gear and they found me one in the back and went out of their way! Check ‘em out
Bassplyr: I owned the revamped American Standard Jazz bass before, (profile pic), and regrettably had to sell for medical bills. I picked up Fenders new Pro II jazz and they are not the same, Fenders previous American Standard version was better than both the Pro I & II series. Seen this 2014 on their website and had to order and glad I did. Bass is fantastic! They even called & left message on status and description of the bass. Very happy, thanks again!
Jaden R: Garbage customer service. Called about an amp they won’t ship and never received a call back on amp specs to have it picked up. Followed up with them and the manager is now saying he won’t sell me the amp for personal reasons. If they can discriminate based on financial reasons who knows what else they can discriminate on.
Tyrik Lewis: I called explaining the problem with my keyboard I was told to come in. When I got there I showed him my chord that I needed. Wasn’t sure if that was the problem. so he said bring it in , he troubled shooted my board , I was very upset about it, he worked ,checked every thing he thought it might be, then tried a new chord and that was it. He didn’t have to take that extra time but him and the other guy did. Now I’m very happy my board is working Thanks to Music Go Round .
Garvin Adamson: Friendly and helpful staff. Nice equipment and great prices.

Guitar Center: what do users think?
Jacob Mitchell: Excellent service. There were some issues with a guitar I wanted to purchase on the shelf, but everything was taken care of promptly. Staff was very helpful throughout the process. I will definitely be coming back for my next guitar purchase.
Holly Dodson: I visited today as a first time newbie to the guitar world and had the pleasure of working with Cameron. I explained to him that I’ve never even played a guitar or held one and he graciously made time for me and sat me down with four different types of guitars and played the same thing on all of them so that I could listen and hear the different things he was pointing out that made the guitars personalities individually. At no point in time did he make me feel stupid or unwelcome. I wasn’t quite ready to make a purchase yet and want to do more research first but when I am ready I will definitely be back to see him. He was knowledgeable friendly and even though I know hardly anything about guitar playing I was very impressed with what he had showed me and I could tell that he was passionate about playing. Thanks again, Cameron, for your time and help learning the basics of guitars. I would recommend anyone who’s new to stop in and see what all they have to offer (it’s ALOT, selection was extremely plentiful!) :)
Chris Mourey: Gentleman was very knowledgeable about piano chords and progressions.
J. Miles Canino: Visited with my family today and was horrendously disappointed to see what has become of Guitar Center. The BRAND NEW acoustic guitars are in a horrible state, with innumerable guitars showing significant cracks and deformations due to improper storage conditions. These aren't just cheap guitars either - a D18 had a humidity-related crack right down the center of the top and a 000-18 had multiple cracks. Humidity does not seem to be maintained at all within this store - does nobody care about the instruments? What's more disheartening to think about - are you actually selling these damaged guitars to unwitting customers that have no idea how bad the storage conditions are, or otherwise lack the insight to notice how damaged your inventory is?Very disappointed - will not be taking our business back to Guitar Center.
Corey Mathews: Castleton Guitar Center = 5 starsI recently had a problem getting a refund I was owed from GC (Just to be clear this problem did NOT happen at the Castleton store). After several weeks of being continuously told I'd be hearing from them or their corporate offices, not ONCE did either that stores employees or their corporate office follow through and contact me.After not being able to be patient and understanding anymore, I called Matt Michalski. at the Castleton store, explained to him the situation (I paid for an item, wasn't allowed to take the used item home because used gear had to be in the store for 11 days before being sold in case it was stolen) and Matt Michalski. INSTANTLY handled the situation. If it wasn't for the manager at Castleton and the way he handled my problem, I probably would never have bought another item from Guitar Center ever again. Can't give him enough credit. I hope Matt Michalski. and HIS boss read this because he deserves some credit and acknowledgement for the way he runs his store. Thanks for fixing my problem in 10m when another store took 2+ weeks with 0 progress.I don't want to publicly say the other GC employees name that I had the issue with, but the managers and reps at GC will know who this review is referring to. I just want to say that while I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the way he handled the situation, he was polite and nice during all of our interactions, and I could tell he was at least trying his best to remedy the problem. He clearly just didn't want to make an executive decision and make a mistake that wasn't following GC's SOP's.
Jeff Rau: Was in drum area waited for someone to help me no one asked me ever if I needed help was in there for 1 hour no one in drum area at all I will go south to that one hopefully I wont get the same service 😡
DJ Y2J: Needed some pro audio equipment so I stopped in because I bought my initial equipment there years ago. The one guy in the department was on his phone the whole time I was in there. Turns out it was because he was ordering food because when I left I heard him say, "Yeah this is....I ordered a sandwich."The few display models weren't even able to be used for a demo because the computers that they are connected had passwords on them that no one at the store knew. Then was told the computers were broken because they shouldn't have passwords. I stopped in 2 months prior and these computers had the same issue and nothing was able to be demoed. So it's just an issue they are too lazy to fix.Basically my experience tells me to go to Sweetwater or Paige's or really anywhere else because nothing is in stock, none of the displays or operational and they just seem to be cool with it.
Devin Ingersoll: Employees are helpful experienced and knowledgeable
Knight67: Picked up drums
Anne Winters: A+
Luis Alfaro: Just purchased an item on this store, I didn’t like the service as the cashiers where rude to the customer.
Tom Young: Still a huge selection of mostly new guitars, drums, and music books, but only had what appeared to be two workers making check-out a bit of a wait.
Tim Galyean: Over priced and down right rude
clayton eldridge: Love the options in amps and guitars here.
Edwin Knouse: Found all the best deals here
Brian Camden: Sales staff so bad just close already and let someone who cares about musicians open a store.
T Miller: My son and I went to this store on 12/3/22 around 7:30 pm to buy a Gibson ES 335. We picked out the guitar and plugged into an amp and played for about an hour. The entire time not one employee asked if we needed help. All we needed is a employee to finalize the sell.
Luis Aragon: Lots of choices in guitars and their techs are very knowledgeable
Lafayette Couple: Great place for music equipment and accessories
Erik Klepacki: Informative customer service. Courteous and polite always helpful.
Ydh Rex: Friendly people, great service

Arthur's Music Store: what do users think?
Tyler Willison: This is a fantastic music store. I bought an old Gibson LG from them and could not have been happier with the transaction. They are very honest and upfront - a real pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend!
kayeguitar music: They gave me a good deal for all that I purchase the owner is very patient and accommodating
David Hall: Man I hate leaving this review but I've gotta be honest. The second I walked into the store I was followed around like a felon, everything you'd want to play is behind a counter. I picked up a chepo $150ish nylon string, zipped my jacket up, and literally before I could pick a string was told to watch my zipper. OK no big deal, let it slide.I then go to the front of the store because I was honestly going to buy a concert style acoustic. The sales associate up there hands me a concert style guitar and tells me to remove my jacket. Starting to feel like I'm not wanted in the store lol.I was so excited to check this place out. It's actually kinda well known amongst old time session musicians.I feel like the current staff is more concerned about catering to the "upper class" residents of Carmel than selling guitars. Really a shame, I left feeling like I'd wasted a trip to this store.Felt judged the second I walked in. Ended up going to Guitar Center and buying a Taylor. Oh well 🤷
A. Wilson: My family and I visited Arthur's Music Store last month to buy our son his first guitar for his music lessons. What a friendly environment. Emily was amazing. She was attentive to my son so that he can get the right guitar for him. Emily educated us on the guitars along the way and made this a wonderful and non intimidating experience for our son. We were there for about an hour, which went fast because we were enjoying the moment. Highly recommend Arthur's Music Store!
Sophia B: For any music needs reach out to Arthur’s, if they do not have what you need in stock they will take the time to find helpful resources or the product you are looking for. This kind of customer service is rare in these times. Appreciate the hard work and effort on the teams end !
Artemis Ely: Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Emily helped me get exactly what I was looking for and was extremely honest about price differences and any defects/damage to used instruments.
Annie Skinner: What a great shop! Super friendly and helpful every step of the way. They made a potentially intimidating experience go so smoothly since I’m a beginner. They were beyond welcoming! Highly recommended and super grateful that they are here, this city is lucky to have such a great place to go for all your instrument needs.
Katherine Castro: I recently decided to fulfill my dream of learning to play the guitar before I'm dead and went to Arthur's Music Store to buy my first ever guitar. Emily went above and beyond to help my clueless self figure out what would work best for me and was patient, giving me grace when I swayed back and forth between an acoustic and an electric guitar as my choice. Can't recommend Arthur's enough.
David White: Wonderful music store with a wide selection of instruments. They have me a great deal on an unpriced psaltery, I already have plans for a used hammered dulcimer that both looked and sounded great that was available, and eventually will be picking up the mandolin I saw there which was priced fairly and was shown how to briefly play it by the store associate. Actually, they showed me how to play several instruments while I was there and didn't make me feel like a burden at all, showing great customer service patience and care. For instrument maintenence, I'll be coming here from now on and will always be checking back for different instruments they get in. Some of their stock can vary on what they receive. I'm glad to have found a dulcimer and the instruments there make me wish I had a place for more at home.Come check out Arthur's if your local, even more so if your not; you never know what chance encounter you may have!
Garrett Harsh: No refunds. Only store credit.
CadenandSteve Thompson: Was in town for a doctor's appointment, though I'd stop by and see what's inside. Was amazed by the multiple different instruments they have to offer. Ended up buying a bass guitar, amp, and some tablature. Definitely worth coming back! 👍👍
Jason Goldsmith: I’ve purchased a few guitars (both new and used) from Arthur’s over the years. Always been happy with the quality and the price.Just really great people. They know their stuff and are always happy to share their knowledge to steer you in the right direction. Never any pressure to buy. They want to build relationships rather than make a quick sale.Highly recommended.
Reynor Kezer: Your Store Is Awesome.. Your Service On My Maestro Was Very Good.Very Solid.Very Satisfied.l Recommend You Highly.Thx.the Mackster....👍
Addy: I was helped by Emily. She is friendly, knowledgeable and very talented. I will only trust Arthurs for future purchases and repairs.
Shawn Haymaker: I love this place! Everyone is awesome, friendly, and so very helpful!!
Michael Duke: Having visited a few times, I had seen that the store does a fair deal of buying and selling used instruments. I confirmed this with an employee, who said that yes, they do buy stringed instruments and some lower quality brass/woodwind instruments. Today, I brought in some decent quality instruments, and was told that only the boss would be able to make a deal and that she was away for a moment. In the meantime, an admittedly rude employee looked over my things and started listing off how much they would *probably* take for the things. But these numbers were useless, as he couldn’t actually do anything. We returned later once it was confirmed that the boss was actually there, and she didn’t even bother to come to the till, have the decency to even see me, and sent the rude employee to say that, actually, she doesn’t want any of this. She never looked at anything, never bothered to get out of her seat. I expect more from a local Music Store, and it’s a shame that this is how they choose to represent themselves to the community.
Photogenic Ferrets: My son has taken private flute lessons here for over a year now. His instructor D'mitri is great! Everyone is courteous at the shop. Always leave feeling happy!
Nathan B: Best music shop in town. Great prices, selection, and employees.
Celena Brown: Awesome place!!!!
Mark Overstreet: Very knowledgeable staff. Very laid back, not pushy which I disdain. Enjoyable atmosphere. A really nice little old music store that's been around for years. My Dad (Frank) spoke highly of Arthur's and he was a hard man to please. My Dad would always "go downtown to Arthur's." I think in the future, so shall I. Much better than a big tin box store. Arthur's has some atmosphere and character. Nice instruments for sale, too. Pretty reasonable prices. I want to return when I have more time (and money) to shop for an instrument.
Keith King: Always a pleasure go there.

About Music: what do users think?
Julie E Oglesby: Robert was so kind. I took my eight-year-old to buy Her first guitar. She has been begging for two years to buy her one. I did not know what I was looking for. He was helpful and made my daughter so happy. When we left, she said, “Mr. Robert was nice and trustworthy. I would shop with him again. He helped you make me be the happiest I have been in my entire life.”
Brandon Wilson: Quality guitar I will never let go of -- surprising how now it sounds. Dean acoustic electric cutaway with beautiful lining and they absolutely work with you, instead if against you. A lot of music stores don't do that. It may seem small, but it is better than you would ever imagine and I can not quit playing the one I got today. Five full sars.
Curt Churchman: What's quickly becoming a throwback -- an independently owned, local music store for all your instrument, supply and service needs. Robert is one of a kind a great guy!
Fawken: Saved my lefty Jaguar! Didn't know the bridge/saddle was put together upside down, saved me TONS of money if I would have sanded it down somewhere else. Very knowledgeable and great service, well priced
Daniel Drexler: Excellent. Knowledgeable, great service!
Mike Walkup: I bought my first guitar from Robert when I was 14 years old (I'm 33 now). I will always recommend this place over any other. He eventually knowledgeable about any investment he sells and will help you with whatever you need.
john mulligan: Found a bargain semi hollow Ibanez there that has been a great good friend for years. Priced right and the owner is laid back.
Karl Danielson: Great store. Stop in when visiting from Wisconsin. GO PACKERS!!
OREO Speedwagon: Bob always has an interesting selection of new and used gear and is more than happy and patient to help you navigate through it.My fav shop in town by far!
John Jervis: Nice store - friendly guy - good deal on some guitar strings...i will be back for more.
Tyler: I purchased a beginner guitar, and Robert took the time to sit down with me (for free) and give me some great pointers that’ll serve me well as I begin learning. The guy just loves music, is extremely knowledgeable, and deserves your business!
Harry Cangany: Robert/Bob is a great guy. I first met him years ago and he is just as cool today. His shop is an eclectic treasure house--don't go in expecting the box store look or mentality. He knows his stuff and he has passion and curiosity. About Music reminds me of the great past music stores--parts and pieces all over the place and careful where you step while you try to count the instruments and so much ambience you can hardly take it all in. If I could give him a 10 on a scale of 1-5, I would do it in a second!
Paul Burris: Quality Owner, awesome instruments . . .
Nathan Long: Friendly and helpful.
g dog mcdonald: This is one of the most unique music stores you will ever enter! Bob is a one of kind! He is a fine musician in his own right and does things his way. The store is in a house. It is crowded with instruments. I wanted to stay and play and chat with Bob all day, but alas, he has a life. It's great for a lark, and you just might make a rare find!G dog has spoken!😱
Travis Curry: Great small local shop and Bob knows his stuff. His lessons are great.
James Hanford: Very capable and helpful owner. I was able to find an excellent sounding tenor banjo, much better than what was offered at other stores. I will definitely look here first for new instruments when in the area.
Grant McNaught: About Music has quickly become a favorite music store. The owner is passionate about music and the store is a veritable candy store of hard to find new and used, as well as vintage equipment.
Bob Whitmore: Robert is knowledge, , honest, fair, friendly and a cool guy. It’s an eclectic place, fitting of its Broad Ripple location.
Frederick Kendrick: Disrespectful.....i guess if your not regular clients he is disinterest you being in his establish. I guess he was giving a lesson but he could have asked if we could came back at another time. Having tact is important having a striving business.
John Plewes: Robert is an excellent source of advice about old guitars. He is friendly, personable, and shares his knowledge willingly.

Sam Ash Music Stores: what do users think?
Mike Stephens: Drove from Richmond because I couldn’t find anywhere else that carried Martins and I really wanted to try one out. The gent that helped me was very knowledgeable and gladly helped me compare my personal instrument to both Taylor and Martin guitars. He in know way hurried me but rather , after spending much time with me, left me alone to play and ponder what it was I wonted. All the way through to the sale he was skilled, patient and very knowledgeable. He mentioned that you were, I think, going to start to carry more Martins. You only had two American made Martins in house at that time. And one of those was used. After I made the purchase, I saw another Martin that I actually liked some better for only a couple of hundred more. I thought about asking you to take mine back and order the other bit didn’t really think that was a possibility. Great experience though. Sure will suggest you to others.
Don Gary: Always a pleasure! Zack Cozart has been a great help for me getting started again after 50yrs off. Good guy! Much appreciated. Thanks Zack.
M M R: Big store. Just need better costumers service
Jason Carter: It was the contrast for me. I had just left guitar center where I was sold something that had a missing part. bad service and a lack of options there led me to this store where I was greeted almost immediately upon entry with an offer of help. They did not immediately have the part I was looking for but I did find something to work. And when I did find it, the employee was quick to show me a plug in the floor where I could test that my equipment bought at another store would work with the part I had found at theirs. Generally kind employees and while my interaction with them was small I could see the joy the employees had working with each other. Just an overall fun atmosphere it seemed and I enjoyed my experience there. Next time I will skip the competitor all together and come straight to Sam ash.
Heng You: John was very helpful. He took care of my trumpet repair right away. The only problem is the policy of minimum repair cost was too expensive ($50). It just the replacement of the spit valve.
Xavier Adcock: They are very knowledgeable about pedals and amp modeling
Dennis Grabow: Grandon, the luthier , repaired a vintage Rickenbacker bass for me, his craftsmanship was impeccable as was his work ethics. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rom 79 (The Mangler): Good experience… good deals and nice selection. Didn’t feel pressured or rushed to pick out something and the store is clean and spacious.
Jacob LaGuire: I bought a Boss amplifier here, and it is very nice. I really like this store because there is a very large variety of music equipment. If you need something for your studio, this store has it!
Jose Hernandez: Excellent attention with the costumer
Tim Borek: My last two Sam Ash shopping experiences--an LTD electric guitar and Samson studio monitors--were enhanced by knowledgeable sales associates who were able to put themselves in my place and understand my needs and budget. They answered my questions thoroughly and let me spend a fair amount of time with the gear in the showroom before making a purchase decision. Zach "Z" was especially helpful in demoing monitors so I could clearly hear the difference between the entry level and more professional grade monitors. Another thing I like about Sam Ash stores is that they always have a good selection of quality used gear. Their Price Drop specials (My LTD EC-256FM guitar, for example) are often hidden gems!!!
Mike Gerrish: Great variety of musical equipment and supplies.Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
donkarlander: I visited your store after going to another music store. The experiences were night and day different. Your site was brighter, better stocked and better staffed. I am a new guitar player and have no idea, or confidence, in getting what I want, or need. Your staff was present and informative. I worked with Isaiah while I was in. I had an idea of what I wanted to try. He showed me options for that and other options that I did not know existed. I was not entirely sure that I wanted to get another guitar, but I left work one and with more confidence that I would be able to accomplish my meager musical goals!. Thank you.
Kelvin Archer: I have a service plan on my Taylor guitar. Once about every 3 months I take it in for the setup. It just keeps it adjusted and in top playing condition. Humidity, humidity, humidity. It's wintertime in Indiana , monitor your instrument humidity levels, and have it gone through by a professional!!
Paris Brown: Great store, ore sales people to help out
curtis roush: Great selection of instruments and other gear. The staff are super helpful and friendly. And the repair techs do a fantastic job.
Jamo Animations: Every time I come here, it is a magical experience. They have it all, and you can try out most instruments on a whim.
Jim Stephanidis: I showed up about 15 minutes before closing time. The staff was very curious and I were instructed to take my time. I found a guitar almost immediately and took it up to purchase. They asked me if I wanted to play it first, handed me a cord, pick and tuner. I played it on one of the amps sitting out on display. I finally decided to make the purchase. The salesperson was informative and didn't show any sing of rushing me out the door, although I'm sure they were ready to lock up by the time I left. I felt they did a very good job and made me fell at ease. Now on the downside, the guitar was a bit beat up. This is one of the problems of buying off the rack at any store. I'm sure that at the price point of the guitar I bought, they turn them around quickly. I would recommend coming up with a better way to control customer's abuse to the equipment. All said and done, I'm very pleased with Sam Ash.
Bella Baker: Zach was amazing; spent just a little time, got my daughters guitar working correctly again then answered several questions and no charge! Sam Ash has always given us great service and deals and this was just as always, they believe in customer service which is sorely lacking these days.
Tracey Crockett: Great experience! Dustin was very helpful! Feel great about all the items we bought!
Sam Sites: Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Guitarworks: what do users think?
Don Evans: I dropped off one of my Fender Stratocasters here for new strings and professional set up. It came back sounding and feeling better than it ever has since I bought it in 2006! All at a very affordable price. I’ll be bringing all of my guitars here for the same service!
Tyler F: Though they have a great variety, be wary of outrageous, arbitrary price markups. I made the unfortunate mistake of taking the employee for his word on the price of an untagged Teton “TT003” Ukulele. $250 he says, without looking it up. I get home and find that the exact same model retails for $119 at every shop online, and I assume at other local retailers. I don’t mind paying a bit extra to support local business but I could’ve purchased 2 of them brand new in box for the price I paid for one that was out on the sales floor for who knows how long. It’s ultimately my own fault for not double checking and I (literally) paid the price for it. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, just be sure you know what you’re really paying for.
Caleb Snider: Best music store in indy. Service is second to none, came here in a pinch after I broke something on my guitar and they stopped what they were doing to help. Great people!
Jaxson Hiatt: Just bought an electric guitar there and I could not be more satisfied. I felt very welcome in the store and the employee was extremely helpful in my search for a guitar. Absolutely wonderful staff who genuinely care for their customers as well as music.
Bad M4N: Great place, very helpful folks! Awesome inventory
Courtney Mathis: The place to go for your music needs. Very friendly people that make you feel very welcomed. The lessons and the teachers are great as well. No place like Guitarworks.
Abe Rey (Chorizo): Only thing that bothers me to this day is i ended up trying this peavy viper1 amp and really liked it. Thought i was getting one in a box but that wasnt the case, it was my stupidity for not saying anything at the time i was just happy to get home and play it but they basically gave me the floor model that everyone was using, no box, no plug in chord, no manuals or accessories that come in the box i payed full retail price for it. . Other than that good store.Great store, friendly staff. Been there a few times to buy strings and things like that. Good instrument selection
vuhsace: Very friendly staff. Great group of guys who just let you have some fun and shop around. Got to meet them on my way to get a pedal. They have some really nice gear and will sure to be back to shop around. Glad I was able to do business with them and support the more smaller shops like this!
Timothy Rutar: Short Review: Small family business that wants to make you feel at home and not pressured into buying anything. They listen to what you want/looking for and will show you the most bang for your buck inside your budget and normally give you a full demonstration. The lessons are extremely affordable and Sonny is a great instructor for me and my kids.Long Review: I've wanted to learn Guitar since about 2007. I attempted to take the leap back in 2012 at Guitar Center and was very overwhelmed when walking in. Talking to a salesman he was trying to sell me a $2000 Gibson Les Paul with a beginner amp to give me all the tools to 'Get Started'. I promptly left and stopped worrying about this. Fast forward to 2022 and I decided to give it another go and try a much smaller local business. I met Kevin when walking in and was met with much enthusiasm and interest in what I liked. When learning I wanted to play guitar it wasn't how much money do you have, it was what kind of music do you want to play? After about 5 minutes talking about my music interests and my current commitment level I was in a beginners room and was being shown the different body styles of guitars and I told Kevin which one I liked. He hooked it up to the amp and started playing basic rock chords for me and explaining the different pickups and how to select them. I walked out with a whole beginner package for around $500 with 3 weeks of lessons. 1 year later and I just purchased my first 'Nice' LTD 7-String Guitar and now my kids are playing guitar and drums. Will continue going here for many years to come.
Brent Miedema: I was unhappy with my recording interface. I was fairly certain I knew what I wanted and how much it would cost me. Kevin sold me a much better quality interface for much less money. Kevin, Troy, Terry, you all have taken such good care of me over the years. I always know where to go to take my pick!
Lisa Massey: This shop is an absolute gem! Staff is knowledgeable & helpful whether you're a child, parent of child, beginner, or seasoned pro. They take time to listen & address any needs or concerns you're dealing with unlike the commercialized chain music/guitar stores that have replaced most smaller independently owned businesses. From classes to instruments to equipment & supplies you'll find it here!
V J: This store may have good guitars, but their violins are not good. I bought a starter violin for my middle schooler. But the violin was making squeaky, scratchy and unclear sounds. Tried all options with different bow sticks, changing rosins, adjusting string tensions; but it did not fix the issues. When we asked Kevin for repair, he flatly refused and blamed Center Grove school for not teaching students effectively. Had no option to rent a violin from other store, which inevitably plays very well.
Vickie Atherton: I love my guitar instructor Mark. I'm learning so much!
Heather Cornett: Kevin is just fantastic to work with.Told him what I was looking for and he walked us right to what we needed.Even throw in all the cords and mic stand for free.Great place.
Michael Stuart: Holy Cow, go see these guys for guitar, bass, accessories, comic relief, and percussion needs. They have everything at a great price and Kevin always has amazing knowledge of everything in the store. Skip the big box music stores and give Guitar Works your business. You will not regret it. They beat Sweetwater prices with actual personal interaction. Can't beat that
Maritzai Garcia: Tiene variedad y son muy carismáticos
Angella Dotts: Zane was very knowledgeable and patient. All the associated were extremely nice!
Larry Handak: Great place have Band Builders for all levels and whatever you play. Great place for kids to learn what its like to play on a real stage in front of people
Jamie C: Been going to see Kevin and the rest of the crew for over 30 years. They always have a wide selection. Always pleasant and relaxed. And great to work with. Thanks again!
Jay Potesta: I started taking guitar lessons in January 2016 and I’m still taking lessons. I love the the atmosphere of Guitar works. Never a dull moment I say! From the owner Kevin, my guitar teacher Mark and sales staff, thank you, you have made me feel like I’ve been a coming around since I was kid. It’s only been 6 years, and I’m going to be 69 in a month! LOL!Part of the Guitarworks family, that’s the difference! If you love music become part of the family!
Mike B: First lesson with Scott. Very happy. Super guy. Super teacher. Owner and staff really helpful and friendly. No disappointments at all.

Guitar Center: what do users think?
Randall Peterson: Un bien lugar para tocar los pianos y practicar completamente gratis!
Peggy Rodriguez: My son's go to place for all his guitar needs, and it's affordable!
Amanda Lufcy: Our son has been taking piano lessons with Dawson, and he is learning so much. Just after 4 weeks he had him understanding how to read music and playing some songs.

I took advantage of the GC card and let me tell you......the process was quick and painless.Absolutely love my new six.Highly recommend. I would have given more stars but 5 is all the allow. Great job sir.Keep it rocking. 🎸 ✌️N82/16/23Well, I'm in the dog house at home but it was worth it. Bought another Taylor. This time Luke helped me out and he was great. I played probably 12 different guitars before picking out the new one and he was not only informative but very helpful. It's awesome. Well done y'all!I'll be back for sure!N8 Wright Acoustic
Scotty Courtney: Logan was awesome 🤘🏻
Lee Hill: They probably ha e what you want but they just say it's iver there and you ha e to search the area while they stand behind the counter and talk to each other. Get from behind the counter and show true customer support.
Ronald Neville: It was all good
Sean Miller: Shout out to Skylar, the young man who helped me find an audio mixer and took the time to let me try out the equipment before I made a purchase, He was very helpful, friendly and patient to answer all my questions. Great customer service at the Greenwood location. Thanks!
Judy Miller: My experience with ordering my daughter’s electric drum set was great! It not only started with a great experience with Levi over the phone but Connor and Matt went above and beyond when I went to the store to pick it up. I couldn’t lift it and the item had pictures all over the box. I had to pick up my daughter after I picked up the gift. They made sure it was covered so she wouldn’t see what it was. Thank you Connor and Matt! Everyone in the store and over the phone are wonderful!
Craig Wilson: Got a great deal on a electric piano for my moms
Greg Henson: Such an amazing place. They have a huge selection of guitars and accessories
robert hampton: Lots of great deals are to be had. The staff is quite knowledgeable and very friendly.
S R: They were super busy and still managed to provide great service. I have never had a bad experience at this location.
Samantha Newsom: Went in to buy some hand shackers...
Luis Aragon: Awesome store! People are very helpful and knowledgeable!
Benjamin Taylor: Guitar Center only hires people who stand around chatting like it's one big party. Hunting down an associate is nearly impossible. I spent over an hour in the keyboard section while searching for an employee. The good thing is that I had plenty of time to choose which keyboard I wanted, and when I got home I ordered the Alesis Prestige Artist from Sweetwater. I also visited the drum department while I was there, and the two employees there wouldn't even acknowledge me. No worries, Guitar Center shows you how incredible customer service is elsewhere.
Jessica Jones: Thank you for your help! I can’t wait for Christmas to give my son his new drums and lessons! I didn’t get the gentleman’s name that helped me but he graciously carried the box to the front of the store and put it in the truck for me! He was A+!! He had long blonde hair working this evening! Might have been a manager as someone notified him he was taking a lunch as we were talking.
Stephen Heidelberger: Best music store in Indianapolis/Greenwood
Larry Handak: Great music store! Awesome selection and great service. You can play anything in the.
Timothy Fish: Took my son here to get drumsticks. I appreciate how the clerks let us wander the place without being aggressive and that we were able to "test" some instruments! Very clean store and lots of items without feeling cramped.
Joseph Nogle: I went to sell a guitar in the store and we had agreed on a price. As I was selling it one of the guitar techs came over and decided he was going to tell the employe who was doing the buy that it wasn’t worth what we had agreed on. It seemed he was doing everything possible to screw me out of the sale. The company I work for is very invested in the music industry and this is why we shop at Sweetwater when we can. If you’re a musician I encourage you to buy from someone who actually cares and don’t recommend buying from Guitar Center.

IRC Music West Store: what do users think?
Tsarbombacrazy88 Tsar bomba: the guys there are really cool, one gave me a pick, another taught me something on the guitar and really noice place in general 👌
Chris Sosko: Very nice people.
Mark Abbott: I went in and got 2 guitar strings and then put on for $6.00 and and they tuned the entire guitar that was a great deal
Solar Hedrick: They may not be the biggest in the Indy area ( just west in Avon on Rockville Rd.) but I think that may be why their customer service is second to none! Their selection is Awesome and their prices are more than fair
Mark A. Woelfel: Great staff!
Anahi Freudenburg: Came here to buy a part for one of my instrument, the guy that helped me was rude and gave me a old used part, charged me full price for it and made me feel like it was such a burden for me to buy the old used part since he later had to order a new part for his display item. Very unwelcoming environment, feels like they just want to get you out the door.
Alex Akinyosoye: IRC at this location is a scam. If they pack things up for you to pick up later, examine it thoroughly because they will change a few things. If you return to make things right they will be asking you for more money.. They very rude and dishonest once money exchange hand. Look elsewhere to conduct your business.
Mac Aon Duine: Chris and the staff at IRC are the best. The customer service is top notch, The staff is knowledgeable and personable, and the prices are right. Before you throw your money away and a big franchise that only cares about moving product stop in to IRC. They care more about music and musicians.
Luv Lowe: The sweetest guys work here. My daughter eveb took drum lessons for a bit and the guy was awesome. They're always willing to help and answer any questions.
Karen Durham: Needed reeds for my nephew as a gift, very friendly and helpful
G Mahl: I've spent thousands here over the past decade. Not the biggest selection of gear but always has helpful employees, even if they're a little socially awkward.
jesse dean: Great inventory in stock at the store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Angie Lo: Nice place, nice and very kind people, great service...I'll be back to get my new brother's guitar 🎸
jordan perez: Visited 11/12/22 morning, rude customer service. Older fella white hair and glasses wanted to make you feel dumb about everything music related. My father visiting from a foreign country and he tried to be little him with English. Absolutely disgusting, use to love this store but this specific employee ruined my experiences there.
john janko: Good people!!
C S L: Been using them for years ever since they had a shop in Greenwood. It’s a decent shop that serves a nice convenience in its area. I’ve never really felt welcome in there. I’ve talked to other musicians and they also feel that environment.
Insaniest Miscellaneous: Good selection and very friendly staff
Chris Alexander: Awesome store
Paul Luther: Excellent service. They remember your name!
Gregory Robinson: The tuning peg on my ibanez bass had a stripped gear. I needed a quick fix. At closing time, they opened the door for me and replaced the broken peg in short time. Great service. Great staff.
