We had a major renovation under taking with a full kitchen remodel, entire home flooring and a 2 bathroom refresh. We experienced delays, incorrect items shipped, and every common construction woe that we were warned about in the beginning. Construction seemed never ending! Not one time did the HER team waver even when we got anxious and asked a ton of questions. They remained calm, transparent and communicative throughout.We sought out many design firms because we knew this was a major project. However, once we shared our vision for our space it seemed as if other firms only saw dollar signs, were booked way out or didn’t follow up to see if we still needed service. Jen Day: Big discrepancy between Services described over phone vs services rendered-very disappointing. Second meeting was to identify materials. Very few materials were selected by the team and lacked function/creativity. When I asked to see more materials they said I would have to pay more money. Majority of 2nd meeting was showing me lack luster photos, not materials and I had already provided inspirational photos at the first meeting. Many details I had mentioned in the first meeting had been forgotten by meeting 2, time waster. Designer I had primarily spoken to was absent for the second meeting and I was not notified she wouldn’t be in attendance until mid meeting. They ask for money upfront so if they fail to provide promised services, It’s at the customers loss. In stark contrast, I found an amazing alternative local designer who came to my house with a ton of materials after simply looking at my inspirational photos that I texted to her. We worked out an entire bathroom design in 1.5 hours for 1/3 the cost.Service:Bathroom design

Danielle Tinsley: Don't be fooled by the pretty pics and rosy reviews. If working with a business with integrity is improtant to you look elswhere. Working with this company was hands down the worst experience ever. Contracted the company for a master suite remodel . The project took months longer than promised and was WAY over budget even after eliminating all furnishing and decor. She repeatedly canceled site visits during construction, lied about the budget status, brought defective or incorrect materials to the site and generally mismanaged the project. She negotiated with the contractor for the install and assured me that the details were worked out and would be pulled, both untrue. I was overcharged for materials and time and she even charged me for material sthat I paid the supplier for directly. When I questioned the final invoice that was more than double the contract amount; she provided no explanation or documentation of costs and instead sued. She then accused me of lying about my disabled vet status in effort to remove a "fake" veterans discount she applied to my invoice. Mind you, the discount was applied to an invoice for more than double the hours agreed to so even after the "discount" the invoice was thousands more than agreed upon. In court she completely misreprested what occured and blatantly lied. I paid 20% of the total project cost for what turned out to be nothing less than a nightmare. Know that most people that get swindled do not leave reviews becasue it's unplesant to relive bad experiences. BEWARE: If your are doing major construction save yourself a headache; hire an architect and/or use Pintrest!....True to form Ms. Marti-Chaplin has twisted the facts in her response. The counterclaim was not dismissed. Please do look up the court case and you will see that the word intent on the decision. This is because the only reason the case was not decided in our favor is that the judge did not believe we proved her intent to defreaud. Had I known she would lie in court, I would have presented the plethora of emails documenting the lied. It was certainly not accidental that she more than the cost of materials although she claimed she passed along her discounts, nor that she failed to make sure materials needed to ensure construction went smoothly were ordered and delivered on time, or that she had contractors that she worked with for years and instead found someone on facebook for the project. I could write a book about it, but instead shared a snippet with you. Not sure how leaving a true and accurate review is harrassment, but I'll be sure to continue sharing. Thanks!
