Nicole Van Klompenburg: I was disappointed in my experience with Indy Translations and Language School.They were unorganized. The website and conversations with staff made it seem online like many classes were happening all of the time. But classes never happened for meSome examples of what I experienced-Classes were 4 months delayed from promised start time. June 2020-I was denied a refund multiple times when they couldn't form a class in the timeline promised. Sept 2020-I was charged for a textbook after being promised it would be free (as a gift for their error in class scheduling). Aug 2021.-One class was delayed 20+ min because management forgot to unlock the exterior door for our class. (Not to the fault of our teacher). No refunds or make up time offered by ILC. Sept 2021-I expressed my disappointment to the management (GionCarlo and later Saskia Graddy) Instead of addressing their policies or trying to make things better, I was convinced to purchase additional classes, and then the "gift" of free German classes they promised never happened. Dec 2021---However I just updated my review and gave them an extra star (2 now instead of 1), because I just looked at their website and they made at least one change that should make it better for students in the future!They added a feature to their class schedule to show which classes are currently in session, which are forming, etc. I added an image.It used to be much more generic, and you couldn't see which classes already had times and expected dates. So this is a great improvement.Hopefully they changed some other policies as well to make it a better experience for future students!

Conrad Piccirillo: Carolina has been an excellent teacher and a resource for the entire class. She has a passion for teaching and brings that energy to every class.Carolina has a great sense of how quickly to move the class forward and when to review. During each class she steps away from the book to bring real-world signing exercises into play. She explains the origin of the signs which help the students connect them to memory and shows the differences between the book signs and how they are updated in today's language culture.I'm hopeful there will be a ASL #2 class to continue our learning.
Jovan Rodriguez Lopez: Overall, an outstanding experience learning Mandarin from Tina. Additionally, the support staff is always very helpful and quick to response to any request.
Zach Gates: I am unfortunately relocating to the east coast and hoping to pursue in-person classes there, but I greatly enjoyed my time taking Korean classes at the ILC for over a year. I learned a great deal and received the structure that I needed to consistently progress in my learning of the language, and I also made some really great friends in my teacher and classmates.In terms of the learning, the small class size ensured plenty of opportunities to practice speaking, which is always my greatest concern when learning a language since that is the hardest part for me. There was also room to stretch yourself on the homework and challenge yourself to learn new words or attempt to use more advanced grammar if you so desired.

Blythe Kleinschmidt: Hungria is the best. Because of her, I am continuing my Spanish classes. As a teacher myself, I appreciate how she really takes time to get to know her students. I do not think of it as a class, but more of our little family, and this is due to Hungria’s teaching style. It is evident that she is passionate about sharing her knowledge onto others. We have fun while we are learning, she has patience , and knows what each student needs in order to be successful. As far as the staff, they have ALWAYS responded in a timely fashion with professionalism.

Sue Gaebler: I was very pleased with the excellent instructor I had for my french classes. She was a native speaker, extensive knowledge in education and multiple languages. I feel she was very patient and explained the why and how of grammar necessary for speaking and reading the language. She patiently corrected my pronunciation and helped me to gain confidence in speaking french as well as adding vocabulary.The office staff were helpful and very nice. I would recommend the Indy Translation and Language Center very highly.

Corbin: Critical:ProfessionalismWas calling to see what the average turn around time would be. Very rude and extremely poor customer service. Going through this tedious process of getting translations is stressful but they could care less obviously.
Amanda Wallace: Currently taking a beginner course for German. After not quite two years, I am currently with our third instructor (two previous left with understandable circumstances). Our current instructor, D. Nash, is absolutely remarkable. Hope they never leave! The current office administrator (if that's the correct title), Saskia, is wonderful, as well.
Christy Smith: Great place. The man who runs it is very passionate about helping people. Central location, easy to get to and close to everything. An investment that is worth it.
amyrwheatley: I was extremely disappointed with the Vietnamese interpreter I hired from Indy Translations. Rather than interpreting exactly what the deponent was saying, the interpreter took it upon himself to paraphrase and explain my questions and the deponent's answers. We had to stop the deposition because he was not interpreting correctly and was changing the testimony being given by the deponent. When I complained to Indy Translations, they said they would not refund my money because they have never had a complaint about the interpreter before, and because he gave them a different account of what had occurred that day.I will not be using their services in the future, and I would caution others against using them if you're concerned about having accurate translations.
JZ: The language staff and director is outstanding. I recommend this language center. Their customer service is the best I've seen at a learning center.

Abdul Aasar: Wife ordered takeout from here once. Drove 20 minutes to pick up the order only to be told that it was not prepared because they were out of ingredients for a particular dish. Josh Black: Went here for my birthday because of all the good reviews and italian is my favorite. The food was horrible. The chicken was literally so overcooked it was inedible. The pasta is not fresh and was overcooked. The clam pasta was bland and no flavor. Barely touched our entrees and waitress said nothing but took the plates. This place is over-rated for sure!!!

Susan Toth: Just received a call from Maggiano's to confirm our reservation for Easter Sunday. A reservation we made 6 weeks ago. They decided to tell us at this time that they had a special Easter only menu. This is a three course meal and is $41.95 per person. #1 this was never told to us at the time we made the reservation #2 last year we had our Easter dinner reservation at Maggiano's for the same amount of people and ordered off the menu. Thank you Maggiano's for the poor communication in changes and blowing our budget out of the water. Leaving us no other choice, trying to find another location for a group of 10 at a particular time 5 days before Easter

G Fatima: Maggiano’s is our go to Italian spot. Granted there’s different versions of Italian and what is actually Italian but considering the ambience, portions and taste we love our visit anytime we go there. The food is always delicious and service quick and efficient. There’s a variety of options on the menu catering to different needs of the audience but our ever favorite is zucchini fries which is deliciously crusted with bread crumbs and definitely drool worthy. Bread with olive oil is on the house and definitely makes up for any wait time.

Riley Marie Stultz: Best cafe I’ve ever been to!! The toasted ravioli was perfectly fried and melted in my mouth. The Italian turkey sandwich was both light & flavorful, perfect for a walk on the canal. By far, the best part was the pitcher of limoncello made with vodka and lemon liqueur. It was absolutely delicious, smooth, and refreshing. The gentleman running the cafe was hardworking and pleasant, and very attentive to the care of his guests. We will be back every time we hit the canal!!

Chris Bowen: This place was amazing when it was the Left Bank Cafe. My, how the mighty have fallen. The food is not any better than you could make yourself.So much potential on this canal, when one thinks about the Riverwalk in San Antonio, this place is just disappointing all the way around. Come on Indianapolis, you can do MUCH BETTER.Then factor in the staff who treats you like you've inconvenienced them, and it takes well over 30 minutes to get a small overpriced lunch, you'd be better off packing a picknick or a snack and finding a place along the canal to spread out your blanket.

Herbert Hopson: If you want a quick meal this is not the place. We went here around 11:30am , and ordered the italian beef , and italian sub with a large chopped salad. To start with the portions are small. The sandwiches were tasty, but for $10.00 they were not even half the size of a regular Italian sub at Jimmy Johns, but they did compare in taste. After we finished our sandwiches and a salad, I went back in to buy some Gelato. There were three people in line in front of me. The guy on the cash register seemed confused and stopped to take food outside., even though there was another employee serving tables. There were maybe 10 people outside, and three in front of me. After he halted taking orders to do something else for the 5th time , I gave up and exited the line. With three people in front of me the line never moved for at least 6 minutes. The portions were small and ordering was at a snails pace.

My family and I ate our delicious tomato soup, veggie Flatbread pizza, and strawberry banana smoothie outside at one of their patio tables. Mr. Wiley: Visited 8/13/22Pokémon event was going on and as we played, we walked the Canal and visited this bijou Italian restaurant.Initially we stopped for coffee and soda but ended up getting a brownie, cappuccino, A flatbread pizza named “gondolier” aka (pepperoni pizza) and Diet Coke.Fun fact the word “gondolier” means “a person who propels or steers a gondola”Ironically At the same time we enjoyed our pizza; a group was giving gondola boat rides on the Canal.Just outside of the establishment. Not sure if they were connected but I assume they were since it was an Italian boat.The place did take some time to make the cappuccino and pizza due to how busy they were but the pizza was wonderfully cooked and had a great flavor.The brownie was also great!We will visit again and try something new.

Sarah Gross: I reserved a table here for my sister's bachelorette party and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and I cannot speak highly enough of our waitress, Brooke, she was amazing! She was so attentive and fun and an absolute delight, she really helped make our night 3 My mom left her phone at the table and Brooke about chased her down to give it to her before we got to far. The hostess was even kind enough to take our photo. And I appreciate that they validate parking for a big discount so you can park under the hotel, since parking in the area is limited. I would definitely recommend it!

Michele Zimmerman: Due to a miscommunication between the hostess and the server, we weren't greeted for over 15 minutes, but after we called her attention to it, the hostess said it was her fault, apologized profusely, and the server was over a few minutes later. Like many places, they seem short-handed and service suffers slightly because of it.The cocktails and food were excellent, we tried the Burrata Bruschetta, Arancini (risotto balls in sauce), Caesar salad, Beet salad, and an assortment of pasta dishes (the names of which I can't recall). Decent selection of wines by the glass. Dessert was the star for me. Very authentic tiramisu, cannoli, and spumoni. Glad we waited for over a month to get reservations here, it was worth the wait!

Vilma Mcvey: There were 4 of us, only two menus were given. No drink menu at any point. Waited at least 15 minutes to meet our server. Ordered a bottle of Ruffino Chianti, was brought Rufina reserva (for $82) and was told the Ruffino was only for display. All in all, food and service were average. This was my birthday dinner so they offered a complimentary dessert which, was actually not bad. Our bill was over $300 after tip, I don't think it was worth it.

Krishna Patel: We’re always looking for a good Italian restaurant in Indianapolis, and if you are ever in the fountain square area, definitely hit up this gem. The parking is a hassle, but the food is great! We ordered the shrimp fondue, bolognese, & cacio e Pepe and we couldn’t find anything wrong with the dishes! They were so flavorful! Vanessa Kenworthy: This is a hidden gem. I didn't know it was there until recently since it's not in our neighborhood. Our waitress, Ashley, was fantastic and super attentive even though she was doing the stairs the whole time. We started with the bruschetta and it was phenomenal. A couple of us had the chicken rigatoni which was fabulous with the Rizzo style. The traditional lasagna has a unique marinara that was very tasty. Mely Cooks: I've eaten here since it opened in 1997. It was always a go-to place to take guests. Mama and Papa treated guests and employees like family and I respected that greatly. After Covid, I had a couple experiences there that showed me their servers are woke and seething with hard core hatred for conservatives. I can't in good conscious eat there anymore. Unless I hid who I am, I wouldn't trust the immature woke wait staff not to spit in my food. Regarding the food? I always liked it and it was rare a dish was prepared inconsistently. However I refuse to dine with or tip people who hate me for my political views. Get woke, go broke. Sad to see this spot not hire a diverse and tolerant staff. Navdeep Singh: One good thing about this place when we went out for a birthday dinner. One of the host came up to us and told us about the meat in our food and he wasn’t even our server. He assumed we didn’t know and he was right we were vegetarians. Other than that, other parts of our food were cold, and it took almost an hour to bring out our food. Our server did not check up on us and neither brought us out bread while we saw the tables around us being brought out the bread. That was the one and last time we will be going.

I've tried a handful of well reviewed restaurants, and so far this one is by FAR the best. The menu was solid, it offered a handful of Italian staples as well as a couple of dishes you won't find at other restaurants. The food was incredible, and the the service was ok.
