IU Health Day Early Learning: what do users think?
Jason G Morrall: Check out my previous photos at this location on Google maps 😪 this area used to be covered in vibrant colors with beautiful graffiti, not trash tags.. It was covered in trash and there were plenty of encampments too however It seems unnecessary to completely erase the existence of such places and people in society. How much money did we spend repainting these pillars? Could that money have been spent more wisely?
Kelly Turman: I thought enrolling my son in this daycare would be one of the best decisions, considering the Level 4 Quailty of Path and the features such as the app to keep you updated on what your child is doing throughout the day. Turns out, I thought wrong. Shortly after being enrolled, they stopped accurately updating the app as well as stopped sending pictures through the app. Picking him up from daycare numerous times with dried up snot on his face that you can tell has been sitting there for a while. As I am scrolling through the app one day, find an old picture from about a month ago of my 2 year old SON in a dress. Absolutely unacceptable and of course as a parent I was livid. I look forward to removing him from this daycare and getting him somewhere where he will actually learn and be attended to.
Dan Lah: We had a positive experience overall from 2014-2022. The lead teachers in each room were excellent, and our kids were well prepared for Kindergarten. There was high turnover with assistants, but that is par for the course in this business. The good ones will move on to greener pastures. There was good stability with the lead teachers. I was becoming less satisfied as time went on. This is due to DEL organizational policies and not local center staff. The equity nonsense started creeping in and extra curricular programs were canceled (pre-COVID) because not everyone could afford the extra cost. This took away important development opportunities for our children. It was also a huge benefit for two working parent household‘s because we didn’t have to use precious weekend time for some of these extracurricular activities. I would look to go somewhere else if I were starting all over again today.
Jessica Chauhan: Friendly exceptional staff it's reassuring my little one is in good hands.
Taylor Duley: Awesome
Kenya Sherman: MY SON LOVE HIS SCHOOL. I LOVE THE FACT THEY KEEP YOU UPDATED ON EVERYTHING (behavior, lesson plan.everything.
Kathleen Morris: Great care and great teachers.
Vallene Outlaw: Great

The Goddard School of Indianapolis (North): what do users think?
tiffany hunt: I have worked here for more than two years. I enjoy working with the toddlers. I like Goddard and the teaching tools we use to make lesson planning meaningful and fun for the children. The owners and directors are so courteous and fair and always treat me with respect. I love the little community that we have become over the past year and a half. In all honesty, no one has asked me to post this. I say this because I mean it and I highly recommend to any family and teacher who loves children. 💕
Caroline Scott: My child attended Goddard for approximately nine months in 2019. While I would caution any parent against choosing this program, I most strongly advise parents of Black children to go elsewhere. As someone with a master's degree in education from the University of Michigan and nearly twenty years of teaching experience in a well-regarded school district, I know what an exceptional early childhood program looks like. This program isn't even average.Goddard’s licensing record, publicly available via the Indiana FSSA website, is alarmingly poor. Their citation record includes THREE failures to appropriately report child abuse or neglect, failure to follow background check requirements, feeding a child breast milk from the wrong mother, and leaving toddlers unsupervised outdoors. Goddard’s current Paths to Quality rating is a level one—the worst possible score for a licensed center—and their licensing status in 2020 was “probationary.” Clearly I am not alone in my assessment.I rarely observed positive interactions between children and teachers when I visited the classroom. The “lesson plans” I received, when I actually received them, were generally nonsensical, developmentally inappropriate, and were so riddled with spelling errors that I assumed the author (my son’s “teacher”) was functionally illiterate. Seeing children parked in front of a computer watching videos was a common sight at pickup. I can count on one hand the number of times I saw children being read to. Staff turnover at Goddard was so high that I quickly lost track of the teachers’ names.I saw no evidence of any academic learning in the time my son attended Goddard, despite my child's strong math and language skills and high levels of learning at his past and current preschools. When Mrs. Patel (the owner) was asked to name ONE skill my child had learned at Goddard, she was completely unable to cite a single, provable, example of a learned skill, despite her claims of being in the classroom “all the time” observing. I’ve successfully taught my son to spell simple words, count to 100, and write his name... all before his fourth birthday. Since leaving Goddard, he blossomed at his new school. My son’s abilities are not the problem. In addition to a complete lack of the promised top-quality curriculum, my child was repeatedly labeled a “behavior problem” by school staff, while similar behaviors from the non-Black children in his class were largely ignored or excused by both the teaching staff and the owner. Numerous times I witnessed non-Black children (including, on multiple occasions, the owner’s daughter) throwing objects or hitting others being left uncorrected by the adults in charge, or these behaviors being reported to the child's parents at pickup, but not being documented by the school in formal incident reports (as was consistently done for my child).Despite my repeatedly stated concern that my son was being negatively labeled and targeted for disproportionate discipline due to his size, strength, and race, I supported the staff’s disciplinary efforts. I will not condone physical aggression, from my child or ANY other student. When I dared to raise significant, fully legitimate, concerns about the poor quality of the Goddard School program to its owner, without sugar coating the blatant racism my child experienced at Goddard, after school had closed and away from other parents, I was told I was "frightening" the owner/staff and banned from the Goddard School property, under threat of arrest, in a letter written by the owner's attorney/husband.To be clear, at no point, in ANY conversation EVER, was any threat, physical or otherwise, made to the owner or anyone else on the Goddard staff. There was no profanity used in any discussion, private or otherwise, no written rules in the Goddard parent manual were violated, nor was I even yelling at the time. My critique was delivered in a firm tone at a normal volume. Mrs. Patel simply did not care for my "tone" or "demeaning“ (factual) remarks about her "school" and its leadership.
Larry Frutkin: We can’t say enough good things about the Goddard School. It’s been a wonderful environment for our children and I feel they are overly prepared for Kindergarten and first grade. Highly highly recommend.
David Wayne: Critical:QualityI stopped by to see if this would be a good fit to have my Daughter enrolled at and none of the staff was wearing any sort of protection! Nobody was wearing a mask or anything! I did not see any hand sanitizer readily available either. How can I trust these people with my daughter if they refuse to even protect themselves??
Jerrod Marcus Williams: I drove by this location when it was being built, and thought many times "that would be perfect for us!" When the school was close to completion, I decided to get more information. The first time I called, I spoke to the owner. She was very informative and helpful, and I was able to get my daughter enrolled quickly. From day one, I have had nothing but good experiences with Goddard. My child continues her strong development, and is flourishing. I consider it a very strong endorsement when she can't wait to go in the morning, and doesn't want to leave in the evening. The few times I am able to pick her up early, she is quite upset and doesn't want to go home.I especially like how the days are structured around fun activities that keep the children involved and excited to learn. My daughter has been learning sign language, Spanish, and geography among other things. I can tell she is genuinely interested and excited to learn.Whenever we have had concerns or issues come up, the owner and director have been great at communicating with us in a timely manner.I cannot express the importance of peace of mind that I experience when I drop her off each day, that says it all!
Matthew Dodson: We are thrilled with this school! Our one year old daughter is consistently in a happy mood when we drop her off and when we pick her up. She has even learned some sign language, which has made understanding what she wants much easier. The teachers are engaged and clearly care about the children. The owner is usually on-site with an open door for questions, which is awesome. We're glad our daughter is somewhere so nice.

University Heights Children's Center: what do users think?
Laura Wilson: Hands down the best daycare. The director and assistant directors are SO attentive and genuinely care about my child’s best interest. My son has had the most amazing, loving teachers that have gone above and beyond to help him meet and exceed developmental goals. There’s no where else I’d ever want my child to go.
Jack Calvert: This is one of the best child care places in the entire city. We sent two children there for a few years, and they thrived. The staff are great! There's a strong focus on learning and discovery, but they still let them be kids. The center includes an indoor gymnasium with playground equipment so they can still play when the weather is bad. The preschoolers go on field trips. The quality is far above what you can normally get for the price. This is a great daycare, and we will definitely be bringing our next child there when the time comes!

Bethany Early Learning Ministry: what do users think?
Tommy: I feel like the director can work on her customer service she doesn’t speak at all when her office is right by the door when you come in comes off very rude in my opinion but overall it’s an ok place for your child to attend
Megan Burton: Bethany has repeatedly let me down. While I love several workers (this review is not on them; it's on the daycare) there a lot that the place as a whole lacks. It lacks in major components needed in any professional environment. One thing that is important for any business is communication. While the teachers and caretakers try very hard to communicate thru different channels when it comes to important things the director never responds unless it involves her being paid. I have emailed her about the care of my child throughout the time we have been there. Issues involving her being sent out in dirty (bm) diapers; no response. I have emailed about attendance; no response.i have emailed about safety concer no response. This is very unprofessional. They also sometimes will provide care for my oldest child when she isn't in school, but it is back and forth and never reliable.I enjoy the interactions my daughter has at daycare. I also love her teachers and a couple others in the school but there could definitely be some improvements in the way things operate.
Erika Barahona: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Reliability,Responsiveness,Value
Melinda Burton: I have been at BELM almost 2 years now, and I find the staff is always very kind and accommodating. The teachers go above and beyond for the children under their care. I know that while I'm away from my kids that they are in the best care possible which helps ease the mind of them having to be in daycare. I love that they work with the University of Indianapolis are garden and the children can participate and learning about growing the food they eat. I would recommend BELM to anyone looking for affordable, quality daycare for their children .
Shift Worship: Positive:Professionalism,QualityThe teachers we’ve had, have been absolutely amazing, and go above and beyond for our kiddos! Ms, Christie is the absolute best! The Coston Family
Elizeabith Bolin: 4 out of my 6 kids have gone to this daycare for the past couple of years. My baby will soon start also. My kids absolutely love going to daycare. Each one of them have special bonds with their teachers. They love and adore the staff and all of the activities that they do each day. My children have learned so much from this daycare. They always come home excited to tell me about all of the things that they did that day. When I take them it warms my heart to see that my children feel good walking right into their class and get their day started. I am glad that I am able to leave them in the hands of the staff and know they my babies will be well taken care of. Thank you to all the staff for welcoming my babies with open arms each and everyday. You guys are amazing and I will always recommend this daycare to everyone😍
Anna Carreon: All 3 of my children go here and always seem to have a good day after picking them up. I love that I can check on my kids through the app they have. I can see when they have been changed, feed and all the fun activities they do throughout the day. All of the staff are friendly and greet me when I drop and pick up my kids. I'm glad I was able to find a place that I am able to afford and that works with my schedule. Thanks to the staff for all that they do.
Adri Castleberry: My child has been at BELM since he was about 9m old and we have loved it ever since. We are always welcomed with smiles and friendly “Goodmornings” no matter what is going on. They have kept all children safe especially though this Pandemic and ensuring that parents are kept up to date with any and every update there is. They have been so supportive and reliable while I was finishing school and while working. The teachers are all great with my child and all other children. My son has learned so much from them and continues to learn more everyday! They respect parents, & treat and love our children as if they were their own child. My son loves Ms. Kat and Ms. Sabrina as they have been two of his teachers since the beginning of our time there. The daycare is safe, clean, reliable, and extremely understanding when it comes to certain things. Ms. Terrie and Ms. Paquita* are absolutely amazing and run a great daycare! They accept CCDF for parents in need of that as well. After touring numerous other daycares in the area I knew BELM was our school due to what they have to offer for my son. I recommend this daycare to all of my mommy friends and others as well. And for parents who are like me and like to know what’s going on with your child throughout the day, they have a parent app where teachers update parents and parents can communicate back and forth with teachers as needed which is a huge relief as it’s hard to work full time and be away from my baby all day. The hours are great with work schedules as well!
Jimmie Morgan: Hello, my name is Jimmie Morgan my kids Gretta and lederris have had the best and most fun experience at Bethany early learning for 4 or 5 years. Every since they where babies. I've had it hard at first being a single parent, it was ruff. But Bethany early has helped me and my kids a lot, I wouldn't change anything in the world about that daycare. The teachers bare the best you can find. The supervisor and assistant are the best in the business. They help make my kids better people. I thank God and everybody around them. Thank you all for everything. Ms. Teri Ms. Brown Ms. Gladys Ms. Penny Ms. D Ms Sasha
Paige Sprunger: My son attends Bethany early learning ministry and he loves it, knowing that I pick him up and he's always smiling and happy makes me feel more comfortable and secure while I work. They have an awesome app that the teacher post pics and updates through out the day in and you get to keep up with your child all day is another reason why to choose this place! your child will be in good hands here, all the staff members here are generous and welcoming! Thanks for providing exceptional care!
Cassie: I've been overall happy with our experience with BELM so far! Terrie (the director) comes with many years of experience and you can tell! She handles everything with professionalism and respect, even when we have had questions or concerns. Our child has grown to love going to daycare, which we weren't sure that would ever happen! I credit that all to Miss Sabrina and Miss Kat and all the welcoming staff there. Our child loves all the outside time they have as well the the gym time. The crafts and the activities they do are very cute and fun. We toured multiple daycares in the area and decided this was the best choice for us based on the director, the facilities, the location and the cost.
Ethan Hedeen: Great staff !
Amy Bailey: This is a wonderfully diverse daycare! Meals are prepared on site and the hours 7am-6pm M-F fit our schedules. They have huge playground outside as well as an awesome garden where the kids get to experience planting & eating healthy food. Seems like a nice partnership with the church as well and it has a christian foundation. Teacher turn was high at first, but it seems to be stabilizing and they seem to be bringing on better talent.
Anissa Moore: I wanted to clarify some things after reading the previous reviews. My son has been going here since he was 9 weeks old. He is now 6 years old. I now take my daughter here who is 15 months old. 4 years ago when they had bad reviews yes the directors at the time were horrible! I had to fight to get respect but they ended up respecting me! They have had 2 directors since then... one is no longer there and the current one Terrie (very helpful and nice!!!) has been there a couple years now! Let me just say this the staff most of which have been there for over 5 years. Some are newer and some have been there over 10 years!! They have been amazing with my son! My daughter is a different story but there are some teachers there that are more caring than others! Penny, Gladis, Paquita (goes above and beyond her duties), Brittany and Sierra are rock stars!!! Miranda is growing on me and I really appreciate the love she shows to my mommas girl daughter. So please do not let the bad reviews previously detour you to someone else!
Page Crighton: My kids (2 y/o and 1 y/o) have attended BELM for 7 months. Due to the staff's love and willingness to work together, the kids quickly adapted to daycare. They've become very attached to their teachers and made great friendships with fellow students. I've also seen them flourish socially and educationally.
Meredith Tuttle: My little one has been going to Bethany Early Learning Ministry for the last two years and I could not have asked for a better environment for her to receive her initial introduction into the world of learning. Not just learning her numbers and alphabet, but also the very necessary skills of sharing, playing well with others and taking turns during play ect. The teachers are caring, loving individuals with their students best interest at the center of their focus. They have worked on arts and crafts, gardening, and imagination play. This program is family centered, they offered sock hops, Christmas and Easter programs and wonderful end of the year cook outs. They also instructed my child in the love of Jesus and how it is an important part of her life. An example of this is the day the whole class made birthday cards for an 80 year old that was ill and going through a rough time in her life. This is a very special place to leave your children during your work day, and know that they will get great, gental, loving care from the entire staff!!
Danielle Lumba: I could not have asked for a better place for my son but Bethany. My son came into the daycare very shy and crying everyday upon drop off. We had some not so great experiences before Bethany. But after a couple weeks and the staff loving on him, he would walk in, sit down and was ready to get started for the day, and then would hide upon pick up. The staff are all loving and kind. They work with your child on their individual level, not just theirs. I would highly recommend Bethany Early Learning Center for anyone!
Emily-Marie Farrow: Bethany is not a good daycare to take your children to. It is unsanitary. The directors are rude to children, parents and employees. I have seen their employees hit children and leave children unattended on the playgrounds. They have 28 failed inspections in the last 2 1/2 years. They do not keep accurate accident reports.
