Freedom Bardsley: (I used to work at this Plato’s closet so things are taking me back into shock) Took some really nice items to this Plato and I was beyond surprised on the items they didn’t take off my hands. I was more surprised on the fact that I had a brand new Akira brand dress that was covered in sparkles and pearls. I asked for an explanation on why, and they claimed it was “too casual” and “some wear & tear”. This dress was from Akira which none of their clothing line is casual. If anything it looked more prom dress like. And there’s no wear and tear. They told me to take it to style encore which I did, and they ended up explaining to me it was more the pearls is why they denied it…which is understandable, just wish they would’ve given me a legit explanation instead of making up nonsense. Style encore encouraged me to take it to Washington st Plato since they seem to have a better reputation apparently.

Micheal Spangler: I Sold 1 of Nikes there today and the other pair they claimed that the laces were messed up on the shoes and I just asked a simple question because a employee said something about the laces and everything and she was absolutely rude and didn’t even wanna help us, I will never go back because there rude and have bad communication with customer.

Rachael Wethington: Brought in a large amount of clothes to sell. I was told it would be an hour. Almost two hours went by they hadn’t touched my clothes. I left again and got a text right away that they were done. They didn’t even touch most of my clothes and did not buy anything. Awful service and a waste of my time.

Yet with that being said, refuse my Kenneth Cole leather jacket and my buckle brand boots. What a waste of an hour.

Kcdmgirl: I have decided to delete my old review in favor of redoing it in order to recognize some of the work that has been done here.Firstly, a big issue I mentioned in my old review was the abundance of LuLaRoe within the store taking up inventory. Thankfully that is no longer the case, and after shopping here regularly I can safely say I haven't seen any MLM products on the racks or shelves. I hope they will continue to not accept the product, as it allows for a greater variety of clothes within the store.Last time I went into the store, the organization had improved significantly, and it did not feel cramped or caustraphobic as it had sometimes before. They have expanded specialized sections significantly - sportswear and mens being key examples, which contributes to the range of clothes offered. Ultimately it means that if I can't find anything in the womens section, normally I wander over to the sports section before I leave to see if there is anything I want there. I hope Plato's continues with this store layout and organization, as its very welcoming and nice to see the store looking so clean.I haven't seen too many employees at the store that were there the last time I did my review. I'm not sure if they hired new people or gave the older ones pay raises to boost morale but it most certainly makes the place more inviting. The employees also dress for specific trends too, I'm not sure if some sort of dress code was implimented since last time but it is nice to see the employees looking good and matching what's on display at the store. The new system they have for selling makes things a lot easier too.Unfortunately fast fashion like SHEIN does seem to permeate the store, however I realize that is more of a consequence of fast fashion itself than anything the store is doing. I just hope it doesn't become another LuLaRoe situation where it overuns the store. I still am able to find good quality items here though from reputable brands, though as always, I don't find something every time as is the way of thrift and consignment stores in general.Overall though the store has vastly improved since my last review, hence why I deleted it and made this one. There are some things that have room for improvement still, but overall I hope this place continues to improve and I now shop here semi-regularly.

Megan Crawford: Today, I brought all new clothing that were in style and currently being sold in stores. Popular name brand stores. Also for the upcoming season(Fall). 3 pairs of brand new high hills in a popular size 7. Some clothes still had their original tags on them. Their reason for not buying anything is because they were "worn". BTW never worn. Everything was cuter than what they already carry for sure. Another location offered over $50 but that was way lower than what I was looking for, for brand new, in-style clothing, shoes, accessories, and make-up. This location, the staff is all white and I'm sure they discriminated against me for being African American. I suggest this store be investigated and required to hire African American employees that will ensure that this doesn't continue to happen. If anyone else has a similar experience, please write a review to highlight this issue. They were unwelcoming/rude from the moment I walked in the store and I knew as soon as I dropped my bags off that they were going to pass on everything.

Ashlie Murray: They have very cute clothes and I love shopping there. But they prices have gone up and for used clothing they charge way to much. I attempted to sell some clothes too. They usually buy quite a few of my things however this time they only wanted to buy 3 items I had(which were all brand new with tags still,worth a little over $100) and they wanted to give me $9.00 for all 3 things. Needless to say i didn't sell them.

Kayla Pratley: Brought in 2 bags of very good condition name brand clothes/shoes and they didnt take a single thing. They said it was stiff they had an overstock of or it was out of season. Then said we're looking for mainly fall and winter stuff right now. Almost everything was WINTER clothes.
