Kristen LaEace: Big shout out to Journey and Michelle at the Ulta in Fashion Mall Commons! I went in to beg a couple sample/testers. I had left my makeup at home on the NW side of Indy this morning, worked at 49th and Keystone, and had an evening event on N Meridian where there would be a photographer. I really just wanted a little foundation and cream blush. These ladies empathized with my dilemma and hooked me up with testers of my regular Clinique products and a tiny blender sponge. A few minutes later, I walked out feeling like I was camera ready. Thanks, ladies!

The Dining Grandpa: I stopped by here today, to get a gift card for my better half. Apparently, Ulta beauty is the new rage, for make up. I can’t say that I can either agree nor disagree as I know absolutely nothing about make up. But she seems to like it, this is her favorite store. The store seemed rather large, with plenty of helpful staff members. I was helped right away, and gratefully so. The store was very neat and organized. There were many customers in the store when I arrived, with a steady stream coming and going. That’s about all I can say. If you need to give your wife or lady a nice gift. Stop by here for a gift card like I did, I think she’ll like it.
Robin Mullins: Staff (& manager) was not helpful at all. I needed shampoo & conditioner & the manager said that all brands have what I specifically wanted just go by what “smells good”. 🤯 The workers were more concerned about stocking than customer service. Finally one of the hairdressers helped me but even she wasn't very nice. When I went to registers (no one was waiting in line) the two girls behind counter were talking and acted like it was an inconvenience for them to ring up my purchase. Going forward I’ll go to a different Ulta & hope for better service. Disappointed, do better.
Amanda Schutte: I love this location. The employees are always nice and very helpful. I utilize the return policy to its fullest and they never blink an eye. I also love ordering online for the free gifts. The in-store pick up is always ready right away.
K N: This location was pretty busy from what I could see. They had everything I needed in stock and much more. The samples and displays they had out looked new and weren’t missing any pieces or pans. We were checked on by a couple workers making sure we found everything we needed. The line was pretty long but went by fast. I had an issue with one of my gift cards I had but the lady that helped me at the register was extremely kind and tried everything to help me as well as being very respectful. I will definitely be back!

After working in my yard and running a quick errand to pick up an online order from an adjacent store to Ulta I decided to visit the Ulta store. As soon as I enter the store the cashier sternly asks, can I help you with something? Her tone and the way she looked at me said more. I am a woman of color with fashionable dreadlocks. I am hesitant to talk to her because I am very aware of “racial profiling “. The cashier assumed whatever she assumed maybe because of my style of dress, my husband’s work jacket, nursing scrubs and dusty yard work shoes. I reply to her question, and she signals for another employee (brown girl). The cashier immediately tells me what I came for the store does not stock. I immediately left the store (never left the front lobby of store) bc the situation was definitely uncalled for. I am an Ulta platinum member. And when I shop there it’s generally a splurge spree but now I am not uncertain about shopping Ulta.
Sarah Moreland: Ordered curbside pickup, showed up when I received an email saying it was ready and went through the steps to say I was here. After waiting about 30 mins, I checked in again and called the store. Someone came out with my order, asked for ID and said “here” and seemed very annoyed and immediately walked away. I try to be understanding of people but geez at least a “sorry for the wait”. Made me really sad

Kim Koers: The absolute worst pharmacy in existence. Was in the ER completely unable to see out of left eye. Praying my site will not be damaged permanently and am following up with Ophthalmologist Monday. These meds are important they are for temporary treatment/maintaining/pain. The doctors sent the prescriptions to Walgreens on 16th twice and they still claimed they didn’t receive it. They are completely lazy just not wanting to work because it’s an hour before close. This pharmacy in unprofessional, lack empathy and work ethics.
Kay Cares: The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a pharmacy. It took two weeks just to get my medication transferred to Walgreens. Then it took a month almost to have my online account accessed to. The main office kept playing games with it. I’m constantly being told one thing and another thing happens. I can’t even get them to give me the correct medication on time without a screw up
Mark Petrison: To a great extent, this probably goes for pharmacy stores in general...But these places seem absolutely ruthless in pursuing profit - much like Big Pharma and the entire US medical service industries behave in general.The modus operandi seems to be to draw in sick or elderly patients who can't and won't go comparison shopping; and who are only going to shop at the 1 store where they get their medicine. Then, effectively holding a monopoly over these vulnerable individuals, the policy is to charge outrageously high prices, and rake in the $$$.Again, I don't think it's fair to single out Walgreen's, or this particular location. Nevertheless, this ruthless pursuit of business profits strikes me as utterly outrageous, and frankly criminal whether "legal" or "unprosecuted," whatever social Darwinist and Libertarian and Objectivist crapola is at the root of American neoliberal economic attitudes. And in case it is not apparent, the US is increasingly falling down the charts in decent countries to live, especially in regards to life expectancy... although part of that comes from such disgusted cynicism that it's no wonder so many opt for suicide nowadays.

I let the front desk employees know, and they immediately reprinted my pics and put a new binding on them. They also apologized. I’m thankful that they fixed the problem right away, and they did it with kindness.
Nicole Hopkins: Avoid this place if you value your time and health. I scheduled a covid test online and showed up for my appointment. Low and behold, the drive-thru testing is closed. I called the store (to avoid going inside), but the only assistance the worker could give me was to reiterate that no testing can be done because the pharmacy is closed. Ended up calling the Walgreens Kessler and they were able to pull up my info and accommodate.Looking at past reviews, it seems like this happens fairly often. Why not take your store offline and keep the system from accepting appointments?
JustRadical “JustRadical”: One of the other employees had kindly agreed to let my five-year-old use the public restroom, since it was locked. He was just waiting to finish up ringing somebody out, before he could assist me. Then one rude employee ( African American) prohibited him from opening up the public restroom, and stated that the bathrooms are "closed" .First of all, the restrooms are for public use, second of all there were no signs stating that the bathrooms are either closed or out of order .Walgreens please make sure that when you hire people , they have a kind heart. I just don't understand why someone with so much hate in their heart is allowed to work a job where they have to encounter people.As for the kind gentleman, thank you .

There have been several times I've showed up to pick up my prescription only for the pharmacy to be closed even though according to their hours they should be open. Showed up today, a Tuesday, on the way home to pick up a prescription the website says is ready for pickup. IT WAS FILLED TODAY!!! Except when I show up the pharmacy is closed and now it's too late for me to switch this prescription to another pharmacy in time to get today. I'll have to go nearly 24 hours in constant pain due to this. Unacceptable!

Got a confirmation email and everything. 2 hours before my appointment, I get a voicemail from "Rhiannon" that says it's been cancelled. No other information, no offer to reschedule, just cancelled. That's terrible customer service.
Ashley Mason: They'll let you register for a covid test and even send a confirmation email, but they don't actually do testing and won't help you figure out other testing arrangements. They have a very "not our problem" attitude about it which is ridiculous since they schedule and confirm appointments they know they wont honor.

Pat Lacey: I walked in the store without an appointment looking for a hair rescue when a non-Aveda product didn't work. I received the most professional care. The Aveda representative explained to me about their specialty brush, the anatomy of hair care and showed me which products I needed and then braided my hair. I got home and applied the product. My hair not only fully recovered (when I thought it was going to have to be cut off) but it also really accented my own natural blond highlights. I was very pleased that I won a pamper party for me and 3 guests!

They wanted you to buy raffle tickets for their giveaways!Yes they wanted money for tickets!$10 per ticket!!!Their samples and giveaways were broken in half cookies in the back! She directed me to a Lancome Renergie HCF Triple Serum that she said customers have raved about the results for dark spot correcting, but also warned that I would need to make sure I wore extra SPF when using it to protect my skin from addition damage. She recommended the Pacifica makeup setting spray, so I could reapply throughout the day, if needed for more protection. She also recommended an eye cream that has had good results for customers.

Ericia Boling: I have gone to this location in several occasions and when I leave I swear that I will never return to that store. I opened my charge account online because of the discount teaser and bought a few items to be picked up. When I got them they were the wrong shade. I took them back immediately and was told I couldn’t do that because I had to wait 24 hours. That was understandable. I wanted to return one of the items and I couldn’t do that either because I had to wait until I got the original card. All of this could have been explained to me but instead 3 of the workers huddled behind the register and laughed at me. When I called to complain she said she was in her lunch and couldn’t deal with me right now. My final straw today was my mom bought the wrong shampoo and threw the receipt away. My fault for not keeping it. The way these women talk down to their customers is gross. I’m not sure who gave the customer service class here but it takes no time to be kind or offer an apology. I was just going to buy the other shampoo but, I will drive to Plainfield to the other Ulta. I know they won’t care but I’ll feel better knowing I got this out there.

Per the pharmacy tech Walgreens has a week long backlog & hundreds of prescription un filled. 9/12/22 @ 11:31Update: Called Walgreens local business office, to voice my concerns. I received a return call from the store manager with in minuets. Apologizing for the delays & stating staffing was the issue. I've been going to this Walgreens for the past year, quite frankly it's a management issue. Even the pharmacist is rude for pete sake. Poor customer service & rude behavior is deemed acceptable. On my part work on being more understanding and try a different approach. 9/20/22 still one star

Anita Thurston: I've shopped here for more than 10yrs. I live in this community. But this evening when I stood in line, the line quickly reached the pharmacy. I asked the cashier to please call another cashier. She said she was the only cashier. I waited to talk to her til she rang up my order. I asked her if she was the manager. She said she wasn't. I asked her to call the manager because she can act as a second cashier. She said the manager was doing her work. I said I think when the line is this long she should be out here. She said she was busy. I asked if she was sleeping? No just busy. I asked for the cashier's name and she refused to give me her name. She didn't apologize for the long line or slow service. She probably assumed she didn't need to be nice to me. Customer service? What is that? Before today I've usually had great or good customer service. Today this lady was just rude. I'm 100% disabled. I'm willing to pay the higher prices at Walgreens if I don't have to walk far or stand in line long. Today wasn't helpful. The cashier only rang up half of my stuff. I had to ask her to ring up the 5 items on the counter. Also, she was hiding her name tag. I wouldn't recommend going here between 5-8pm.
Kathryn King: The hours on the website were wrong so we got there 2 minutes after closing. The pharmacist refuses (rudely, without compassion) to give my daughters prescription for her ear infection (which we had tried to pick up earlier but wasn't ready even though it was hours after it was called in). Then she told us that we could just get it transferred to a 24 hour pharmacy, only to find after going to a 24 hour pharmacy that the Walgreens has to be open for that to happen. So she refused to serve us and essentially lied to us. Now we can't get our daughters prescription (they are closed tomorrow for labor day). Horrible service. Would not recommend!
Lindsay Lagasse: My partner and I just got our Covid 19 vaccine. Our tech, Mary, was extremely friendly and personable. She eagerly talked about us being truckers, showing real interest rather than just that "customer service" requirement. I have a mild fear of needles (probably branches from my bee phobia) and she kept me talking so I never even realized I received the shot. My partner is a big kid so he wanted a "lolly" for being "so brave" and she humored his craziness haha. We loved the experience, which is such an odd concept for a simple vaccine trip.
Josel Covarrubias: Big old cotton candy pharmacist tells me the pharmacy is closed for a whole day knowing, as a pharmacy technician myself; pharmacies should never be closed. I have a controlled substance to pick up and being told that is incredibly unprofessional. They closed early, and had the audacity to tell me to come back two days later to pick up my medicine. Why send me that text? Incredibly unprofessional.As a pharmacy tech myself, that is beyond rude and unacceptable. You are playing with peoples medicine because your big self wants to sit home and watch furries.
Hannah Bond: I no longer use this pharmacy, but when I did use it, they didn't seem to pay close attention to the prescription. I had a prescription that they would sub out for a generic version of, but it caused me issues so my doctor put a note on my prescription to NOT sub it out. They continued to sub it out every single time regardless and it resulted in me having a lot of medical issues that I've had to work through - and it all could have been avoided if they actually read the prescription closely. On a different note, it was always clean and ready quickly.

alena davis: usually everyone who works at this location is so nice and friendly. the girl who checked me and my sister out, lily parlos, was hateful the whole transaction. i work retail i get it’s frustrating when people come in late but we had 40 minutes. i went to school with her and she was hateful then too.
K Andomer: I stopped in to this Ulta location to pick up a couple of items that were not at my local Ulta. Unfortunately, they did not have any of the items, either. I needed to try to find a new foundation, so I headed over to the Lancôme area where two women were working. One woman was directing another on how to stock items. They were standing directly in front of the Lancôme foundations. In the 5+ minutes I stood there, neither acknowledged me. I grabbed what I thought might work and walked over to the perfume.There were, again, two women working in that area. Neither acknowledged me as I looked aimlessly through the section, looking for a particular perfume. When I found the Burberry perfumes and realized that they were out of the bottle I was looking for, I walked to the hair products.They looked to be out of the large bottle of conditioner I wanted, so I settled for a small bottle. Yet, again, I was ignored by an employee in that area, even though she went out of her way to help two teenage girls.I took my two purchases to the front and asked a few questions about my purchases. The girl at the checkout answered my question, but was fairly disengaged due to holding a conversation with another employee.I ordered the items I needed online and had them ship it to my normal store for pickup. I would rather my Columbus, IN store (where the employees are beyond helpful) get the credit for my purchase.Being viewed as pretentious is not good for any business. I will avoid this location in the future.*********************************************Reply to owner's response:Your response seems to be a blanket answer for a common theme in your store. You have a need for training associates on customer service. For every one person that leaves your store happy, they will tell 3 other people about their positive experience. Alison Brittain: We had back to back appointments with Mo to cut my two girls’ hair (2 and 6) including a first ever hair cut for the youngest. Mo was just amazing. She was great with the kids, including my 4 year old son who had to tag along, and did a great job on their hair too. One daughter really hates the dryer and was having a hard time and Mo adjusted her plan without making her feel like she wasn’t a big girl. She managed my little one’s double crown crazy hair with no part and taught me tricks for styling. We will for sure be back!

Emma Betters: I had a really good experience getting my hair colored at this location. I was working with Mo and I from the moment I walked in, she was very supportive and motivating. I haven’t gotten my hair professionally done in several years and I was alittle nervous to pull the trigger and do it. I’m so glad I did. I came in with jet black, lifeless, dull hair. She was able to give me beautiful Carmel highlights and completely transform my hair. I did pay alittle more than I was expecting but I have no regrets. I feel a lot more confident now and I can’t see myself going to any other hair stylist. Mo is very talented, educated, and driven. She’s been doing hair for 35 years and knows the ins and outs of everything hair. I will definitely be back to add more intensity to my color. I highly recommend booking her for services.

Ellé: I am an Ultimate Rewards member and during the pandemic I shopped online and was used to it. I had to run an errand so I shopped online to pick up at the store. Well the customer experience was not great. A woman was at the pick up station and when I walked up she slowly walked away and had a conversation with her colleagues. They ignored me and no one else was in the check out. So I stepped over to gain the attention and someone else at the register further away from pick up checked me out. I should never have to wait for an employee to finish his,/her conversation in order to get service. Lastly, if there were any biases in which I did not get service right away that should be addressed with management right away. My service date was Sep4th Sunday-watch the camera. Please Ulta do not send me a blanket response here, let's leave the respect where it is. I will continue to shop online.

Dani Hellmann: This location is always clean & the staff at this location is always very welcoming greet you when you walk in & ask often if there’s anything they can help you find. Always tell you the points you have to redeem as a reminder before checkout & always check that you’ve activated any point multipliers so you’re getting your extra points for your free money. Getting the credit card in the store is nice too because you get 20% off your first purchase with nothing excluded when you get the card. This location typically has Dyson too which is nice. Testers are always fresh & clean & available to use. Play stations always stocked with makeup remover & tools to use for testers which is also nice. Plenty of knowledge associates to color match foundations for you or help with skincare routines & more. They are always willing to order you what you need too if they don’t have it in store & ship it to your house completely free! I highly recommended this carmel store on greyhound pass.

She’s super personable and listened to all of my concerns about my brows (I have difficult brows, I have a pretty deep scar on one) she worked around it and you can’t even tell the scar is there. I’m a cosmetologist so I usually do my own brows but I won’t be anymore. Highly recommend her!!!

madison elisabeth: i scheduled an appointment here for 11am this morning for prom and the woman who was going to do my hair ended up being sick, so my appointment was moved to 12:45. i sat for about 10 minutes and not a single employee came up to me. i saw another girl get done with her hair and the employee went up to 2 other girls waiting beside me and asked what they were wanting, so i went up to make sure it was known i was there first. she said i would be next with another employee, and then walked off. i waited another 15 minutes and nothing was done so ultimately i left the store, and i will never be going back. i am so lucky i have a friend who is decent at hair or i wouldn’t have anything done for prom. screw you ulta salon!
