R C: As a first-time customer at Preferred Collision Repair, I was very pleased. My car was totaled by the insurance company, and Preferred Collision Repair was the only place that would fix it. They did a wonderful job! The owner was able to get all the parts needed despite my car being 21 years old. Jim made it look brand new again. Jim was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and an expert. I was so glad that Preferred Collision Repair was the place that was able to fix my car. I would highly recommend this business to everyone who needs body or collision work. You won't find anyone better in South Bend or Mishawaka. Jim's shop gives excellent service!

Ken Sauer: I've had two cars in to Preferred for fender benders in the past two years. Both times they've done very nice work and had the cars back promptly. In the more recent case, they were especially helpful in dealing with the insurance company, making sure they covered parts that made our car look like new. Will certainly be back if we have another mishap.

John Bucker: Preferred Collision is a great body shop. They match the color my car perfect when I got it back it was clean and look nice. They had it to me on time. Never had a problem with the shop and I have been taking my car her for a long time. I recommend it to a lot of people. Go and check it out if you have a problem with your car. They also repair rust.
Larry: Let's put it this way, if you want a good body shop I can recommend one but not this one. Jim the owner works with his son, they did a restoration on my car, when they painted the car they did it in stages so now the color doesn't match also when they wet sanded the car they sanded through the color on the edges in various areas they then took a brush and touched up where they sanded through. When I confronted Jim with the problems he became very angry, I could go on and on. Don't waste your time and money with this body shop.

young Ramen: I needed two doors replaced, they wanted 800 minimum if I got the doors and didn’t care if they matched . Autumn Lehman: I needed a repair done after a work related incident and had some damage to my passenger door. I inquired online for an estimate and waited a few days for a response. I ended up calling the shop directly and within minutes I had the owner emailing me to apologize for taking a few days to reply. After sending some images and a description of the damage, Dan was able to get me an invoice quote for the work. I was able to get my car worked on as soon as the following week. The staff in the office were polite and very accommodating when I dropped off the car. I got updates sent to my phone via text message. When I picked up my car, I was shocked at how well the repair was done and it looked brand new. The pricing seems fair and the car was even cleaned inside and out. Cody and Sam are great. Very knowledgeable and courteous. They always have smiles on their faces. I love going there on Fridays especially. One of them seems to always make a delicious treat for the customers and venders. The guys in the back are top notch. Best in town. Heck maybe even the Midwest. I would describe them as professional, detail oriented, and very, very skilled. Dan, the owner, is a nice guy as well. I always enjoy our conversations. He’s a real straight shooter. I like that. Ed Borek: After taking my car there for accident repair my trunk lid doesn’t open right. Panel alignment is off. But worst of all my rim was cracked. They didn’t catch it, even after I told them there was a problem. They said they balanced it. IT WAS CRACKED! Now I have to fight with my insurance company to try to get a new rim. Never buy another or take my car there again. Disappointed.

Laura Osterman: I called to have my 2012 Ford Focus fixed after someone hit the back of my car. They were excellent all the way through the repairs. My car looks fantastic!! They even cleaned the whole car, inside and out!! Can't thank them enough for a great job!!!
Chris Dresbach: Did a crappy job and never did fully repair our Honda. They also said they would order us a new spare tire cover and just never did.
Dustin Lehman: Gurley Leep came in at $600 over a quote I got from another service center. When I received the quote around noon, I immediately responded back to decline all service work because they were much more expensive than my other quote. My truck was supposed to be ready to be picked up by 5:00 that night since no work was to be done. When I came in at 5:00 to get my truck, my truck was sitting on the lift torn apart yet and the mechanic had gone home for the night.... very convenient. When I asked to talk to a manager they had already gone home for the night as well. The next day when I called, I left multiple voicemail's and the manager finally got back to me mid-afternoon. The whole situation was very unprofessional and I didn't even get a "Im sorry for the inconvenience, Sir." The icing on the cake was that I still was charged $112.00 just for them to look at my truck and give me the ridiculous quote. I will never recommend this place for their service and I hope they change the way they treat customers in the future.
