jamie dailey: Wish i could give it ZERO stars!We were profiled at the door for being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. My wife and I were told it was student id night only. Our friends who arrived before us also in their 30s were let in no questions aksed. Not to mention there were multiple patrons who were easily older then us inside. We also witnessed the bouncers denying enrty to 3 young black males who looked collage age but didn't have student id's. Those young men were filming the entire thing and were clearly being racially profiled and I hope they post it everywhere.Upon further investigation of the pub, the bouncers think its ok to assult women/men, especially woman who were man handled and punched in the face.. Thats super excessive, and unnecessary, just like your discrimination against anyone who isn't a "white bro"..Since you all are such b*gots at the door might as well save you the hassle and just post signs up on the front saying"Straight Whites Only!"But really i think they get a sick thrill/power trip out of doing it face to face...

Rylee drummond: The bouncers here use excessive force when dealing with patrons. The bouncer, Alex, has not only assaulted me but many other customers as well at this bar! I was punched, choked, & left with many bruises by him this summer. I can’t believe this is still happening & the owner could care less.

Norberto Garcia: Corby’s Pub use to be a very awesome bar. Recently I went to the bar with my sister, my fiancé and her friends. I was wearing a gold chain, black jeans that were not sagging and a t-shirt. Which was a very similar dress code to what every one that was already in the bar was wearing. The best part is we got forcefully pushed out the bar which is fine and we were calm. however, the bouncers shoved, swung and hit my sister on her shoulder very hard, she bruised. A lot of people waiting in line saw what happen and were very upset making things escalate. Again my sister and I told everyone we weren’t with to step outside so we could talk to the bouncers. The bouncers were still very abusive threatening to pepper spray us for no reason other than them wanting to use excessive force. We were fine and even though that crowd started shouting racial slurs along with the bouncer following we still remained calm but the bouncer continued to use excessive force. I understand they are doing their job but it’s ridiculous to see a guy three times the size of a woman push, swing and punch someone. There are many reviews with similar situations occurring at this bar. I do NOT understand how the City of South Bend is not aware of the discrimination they have against women and use of excessive force they use at this bar. RIDICULOUS!
Rebel Jacob: Last night I saw a security guy hit a young lady three times. As a women, it is not okay to touch a women like that and shoved her out and punched her. I came here months ago and the same thing happened to my girlfriend with the SAME bouncer. This the guy who hits women in this Bar

MariLuz: Worst, hurtful experience ever! Their board outside the door has a list of reasons one cant get in. I get that, a lot of places have a dress code. excessively sagging pants is one of them… but instead of applying the rules, its used as a form of discrimination.I drove 3 hours into town to visit family and have a good time with my boyfriend and cousin. As soon as we were about to approach the door I had my ID out with my cousin and boyfriend behind me. The Security points to my boyfriend (a darker hispanic) and says he is sagging and can not come in. The sign says excessively sagging. plus his pants were pulled up above his waist. He tried pulling them up even more , even though there was no reason for him too. Then the security said no they’re sagging and closed the doors in my face when i was politely telling him that makes no sense why we couldnt get in if hes not even sagging and we followed the dress code.Shortly after i waited a little ways off from the door to see if the same rules applied to others…. A black man and two hispanic men were sent away … then came some white men.. some sagging and some with their pants to their waist as my boyfriends , yet they were let in.Its sad to say we are in 2023 and yet business owners and their workers hold racism as a way to run their business, and discriminate against those that are not the same color as them.Would not go here. So much for a “landmark pub for students, alumni, Notre Dame fans, locals and tourists.”Your business should add into that line - “only if you are white.” RIDICULOUS
Joe Kopacz: My visit to Corby's Irish Pub was brief and intended as a quick nostalgia check. I'd been told the location was relocated from its previous location in the 1970s. This was indeed confirmed to be true.Upon entering, we noted all the bar space and tables were largely occupied, yet there was still plenty of space in the general areas and around the pool table. The noise level was not excessive, as we could hear individual conversations from people and the TVs playing. All areas were generally clean and there were no odd smells present.If I lived or worked in South Bend, I could definitely envision stopping by here for a drink and a hang out on occasion. Alas, I do not live in South Bend and was indeed just visiting for the weekend to take in some hockey. Corby's is indubitably a local institution, though, and under different circumstances would definitely consider visiting on a future return trip to the area.
Doug Hill: Fun, neighborhood / Notre Dame bar. Usually a younger crowd but lots of great energy and a great outside area to enjoy during the summer.

Scott Braman: Got here around noon....the restaurant wasn't that busy but the service was kinda slow and weren't too attentive towards the customers. Order chicken tenders and fries and it took me almost 40 minutes to get my food. The chicken tenders were excellent.....probably the best I have ever had but the fries were probably the worst I ever had. They were overcooked....they were hard and dry.....couldn't even eat them. Had to go to the bar to pay for the bill because I couldn't find my waitress. Would go back for the tenders but that's about it.....hopefully next time it will be better

Dana Davis: Wanted to wait a couple of weeks before i left the review. We came to eat and drink during parent weekend, 8 adults. We sat for over an hour with a dirty table. We had to bus it ourselves after repeatedly being told by staff that they would get to it. The only drinks we ordered were from the bar. No server or staff ever came by to take our order or to clean the table. It wasn’t that crowded and there appeared to be plenty of staff. Lots of tables needed bussed. Bartender not that friendly and most of the staff seemed to be standing around the bar. Really seemed like we were a big inconvenience to the staff. There are lots of other restaurants on Eddy Street.

Amy Radke: Was looking for somewhere new to go on Valentine’s Day and found this place! Wow! What a great decision! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for me and my date! The old fashioneds were amazing along with the charcuterie board that we had! The waitress was also very friendly and wonderful! Another plus was the the history of the building! We will definitely be back! Thanks Whiskey Exchange Bar for a perfect Valentines Day!

Caitlin McClain: I went to the Exchange Whiskey Bar on Monday and it was not a planned trip. The assistant manager was the one to serve me. She knew what she was talking about lead me to the path of a drink that I really enjoyed. Looking forward to going back again. Sure the price might scare some but you actually getting twice the amount of booze than what you would get anywhere else. Plus no headache or hangover the next day was nice. Thank you for opening my taste pallet to better whiskey!

Kara Reel: It was my first time being here since they've remodeled. We went because we wanted to play games and hang out. There was a $5 cover at the door, which isn't much, but we were not expecting to pay a cover. They also removed a LOT of the games, so there weren't many choices to choose from. We were overall a bit disappointed by the atmosphere change, we stayed for about 45 minutes and left.

Great place to start the night before everyone gets to far gone..Quaint areas to have drinks and conversation..I really enjoyed it..They provided live entertainment....I will definately go back again..The bathrooms were so nice and cleanliness kept up..This place is part of the hotel.The bar makes we want to get a room!! If the bar is this nice I can only image how the rooms are..Great place!!

Christina McMurtrie: I was surprised to find that there is a 4% upcharge to pay with a card. If you plan on visiting this venue, plan on paying in cash.I also thought their pitchers of beer were pricy for a pub restaurant. $21.50 for a pitcher of Oberon. The service was ok. The one saving grace was the food, my Burger was delicious!!!
Quinton Stith: This was my first time there and it was absolutely horrible of an experience. For starters the draft beer was flat and tasteless. Second there was a 1hr 15min wait for food, it was freezing cold inside and the person who helped us said he didn't have a way to turn the heat up. And after an 1hr of waiting for food we asked about it and they said our tickets fell behind the grease trap and our food wasnt even started even though people were eating after we came in. All the mentions and great food they advertise seems to be back when they opened because they cant even keep track of tickets. 10/10 do not recommend!

T.A.T T.A.T: This place had absolute AMAZING FOOD. We had a large group and everyone loved their food. The burgers were huge and delish & I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was amazing as well! If you haven't tried this place it's for sure worth trying!

M “Splinter” Lyons: Great bartenders who were friendly and had a great sense of humor. Typically pub grub, the fish and chips were good. Great draught Guiniess on tap that is served with the perfect amount of head.
Verna O'Connor: Went here for St.Patricks day 23* This place is the best!!! The bartenders we're great, the waitress we had was absolutely friendly and and amazing as she definitely had her hands full.The food was fantastic, I honestly can't say I ever had better loaded fries...the Sheppard pie was slightly dry but still everything all around was 4.9 🌟 out of 5. Absolutely can't wait to return and it's a hr drive.

Alexander Reinhardt: We went on a busy Friday night of a hockey game and waited about 15 min for a table. Fantastic atmosphere. Our waitress was nice and quick, however the food took about 30 min to come out. We got burgers and they were nothing spectacular, sides were a bit small for the price. Great selection of beers on tap. Not sure how quickly we’d go back but it was good to experience as ND fans.
Patrick Ndombi: My daughter and I were just looking for a place to have an afternoon snack. We happened upon O'Rourke's, which is in the shadow of the Notre Dame Campus. When we went in, we were promptly seated. The waiter, Joel, quickly served our beverages. He recommended their pretzel bites for a snack. We ordered them and were very pleased with the doughy pretzel served with a beer cheese. Next time we are in the area we will definitely stop in again and try a meal from their large menu.

Anna Repp: I want to call out the bartender who did not let me take pictures of the place (Wednesday night). I read a lot about the Spirited, it was on my list of South Bend places to visit. I was not planning to visit tonight, but decided to take a look inside anyway. Just took a few steps in and immediately loved how the place looked. So I asked the bartender if I can take some pictures. I explained I was not staying tonight but definitely want to come back tomorrow. However, the bartender was not welcoming at all. He kept asking why I want to take pictures and kept telling me that if I plan to come back I should take them then. I'm not an influencer or anything, I do not take those photos for living. I'm just a 45 y.o. fat tourist with a limp who just wanted some snapshots of a place I liked... I felt so unwelcome and I thought the bartender was unnecessarily mean to me for no reason. Sorry, but I will not be coming back. I know losing one tourist customer means nothing to you guys, but I've never experienced such meanness before, and I feel I need to point it out.

A Kroner: Completely loved this place! The vibe and the aesthetician was amazing and the staff was even better. You could tell they cared about their customers with making sure they enjoyed their drinks and were well hydrated too. They've definitely found a loyal customer here!

The drink on the left is a drink that Matt got creative with. The atmosphere here is very cozy and inviting. This really is a place everyone should experience at least once.
Amanda Wynen: I've been a few times and have enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. I love that I can try new drinks when I'm there. They don't just have your regular cocktails, they have alcoholic works of art. It's definitely one of my favorite places to recommend for drinks.That chocolate and marshmallow drink had my mom start making a list of people to invite so she can come back and get another one.

Brett Crowe: I've visited this establishment on occasion since just before the covid pandemic. I can only review it based on my experiences through that time period to present. It's not been very busy with only a handful of patrons at ant given time. Drinks are somewhat expensive. If you want music you'll need to invest more money into the jukebox or sit in silence. Or play music on your phone as I have that causes the bartender to play a song or two through the jukebox. I've gone to this establishment several times on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only to find them closed. I've usually gone between 9 pm and 11 pm and as I said very few people no music expensive drinks and a somewhat grumpy bartender. I always buy her shots but it doesn't seem to make a difference. In summation, if you are looking for a quiet bar for you and your companion or group to have a conversation without being bothered by music or other people then I would recommend this bar.
