Anna Repp: I want to call out the bartender who did not let me take pictures of the place (Wednesday night). I read a lot about the Spirited, it was on my list of South Bend places to visit. I was not planning to visit tonight, but decided to take a look inside anyway. Just took a few steps in and immediately loved how the place looked. So I asked the bartender if I can take some pictures. I explained I was not staying tonight but definitely want to come back tomorrow. However, the bartender was not welcoming at all. He kept asking why I want to take pictures and kept telling me that if I plan to come back I should take them then. I'm not an influencer or anything, I do not take those photos for living. I'm just a 45 y.o. fat tourist with a limp who just wanted some snapshots of a place I liked... I felt so unwelcome and I thought the bartender was unnecessarily mean to me for no reason. Sorry, but I will not be coming back. I know losing one tourist customer means nothing to you guys, but I've never experienced such meanness before, and I feel I need to point it out.

A Kroner: Completely loved this place! The vibe and the aesthetician was amazing and the staff was even better. You could tell they cared about their customers with making sure they enjoyed their drinks and were well hydrated too. They've definitely found a loyal customer here!

The drink on the left is a drink that Matt got creative with. The atmosphere here is very cozy and inviting. This really is a place everyone should experience at least once.
Amanda Wynen: I've been a few times and have enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. I love that I can try new drinks when I'm there. They don't just have your regular cocktails, they have alcoholic works of art. It's definitely one of my favorite places to recommend for drinks.That chocolate and marshmallow drink had my mom start making a list of people to invite so she can come back and get another one.

Amy Radke: Was looking for somewhere new to go on Valentine’s Day and found this place! Wow! What a great decision! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for me and my date! The old fashioneds were amazing along with the charcuterie board that we had! The waitress was also very friendly and wonderful! Another plus was the the history of the building! We will definitely be back! Thanks Whiskey Exchange Bar for a perfect Valentines Day!

Caitlin McClain: I went to the Exchange Whiskey Bar on Monday and it was not a planned trip. The assistant manager was the one to serve me. She knew what she was talking about lead me to the path of a drink that I really enjoyed. Looking forward to going back again. Sure the price might scare some but you actually getting twice the amount of booze than what you would get anywhere else. Plus no headache or hangover the next day was nice. Thank you for opening my taste pallet to better whiskey!

jessica carpenter: We will never go back to this place.Its very dark, drinks are extremely expensive (we ordered 2 - double vodka/Cranberry and they charged us $35 for the 2 drinks) that was a first for us. The drinks that were made were awful...its not hard to make a proper vadka cran... anyways, we paid and left without drinking our drinks because they were just terrible. The staff/possible owner (?) who sat at the bar drinking his own stock, wanted to argue with us about the price of our 2 drinks. ...just rude...I would never treat my customers like that 😒.

There’s nothing really like it in the area, which makes it a well-loved gem in the center of the city. I’ve always had great service and good food and love to be able to support this special small business.UPDATE - Came back again on St. Patty's Day and Liz served our work group. She was amazing, and I hear she is one of the OG employees of Ironhand - Thanks Liz! While everyone else was out drinking green beer we were having amazing truffle fries and whipped feta with olives and naan bread....heavenly - Definitely recommend! The wine was flowing, and apparently very easily Liz convinced me to join the wine club. Now I'll receive wine twice a year and receive a discount on pretty much everything when I come back...twist my arm!

Hammer & Quill is the bees' knees.

They have more drinks, a bigger menu for food, and are constantly becoming faster, more personable, and just... better! When I thought it seemed like a place that was constantly going to scale itself in an upwards direction, I wasn't wrong. And I'm looking forward to seeing what else they're capable of in the future, including catering for events! Not even joking, they can do that!

We did not order food however it smelled amazing. The staff was very polite and attentive. Jordan Martsolf: This place is absolutely amazing. The owner not only gave us a personalized experience but also welcomed us with great suggestions as new customers. The oysters are ordered fresh daily and delivered to the restaurant which was demonstrated through the restaurant’s impeccably fresh food. The service was fantastic and we quickly felt comfortable in this welcoming, comforting place. Would recommend 10/10 to anyone coming and looking for fresh seafood in south bend for a nice dinner with amazing service.
Ryan Richardson: Place was crowded and alittle on the rowdier side (11pm). Lukewarm draft beer served in a plastic cup (90's pizza hut style). Was staying in the hotel nearby, so it was only a short walk which was one of the only positives. Should have found another place elsewhere to unwind after work.
Anthony Riddle: Medicine oyster bar is a quaint local bar. Their food reminds me of a better time before the struggle of life and adulthood. When I want to go on a date with my so I come here. The food is amazing and vary reasonably priced! Try the Chilli cheese friez they will change your lifeal!
