Hannah Worns: Courtney’s cake was a great addition to our wedding! It was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. She was very easy to work with throughout - at our complimentary tasting she had several popular flavor combinations already paired for us but we had a chance to mix and match as well. I love that she has several unique flavors (we went with champagne cake with raspberry and Bavarian cream fillings) that are different than your typical wedding cake. Our guests absolutely loved the cake and we had multiple people tell us how tasty it was. We highly recommend Courtney and C’est La Vie!
Katie Kluga: Courtney was great to work with and very patient. Cake design was great. I had trouble communicating the type of frosting I wanted: classic American buttercream with the thicker, granular, sweet frosting and moist breading for a rich melt-in-your-mouth experience. Cake that I had on wedding day was a little dry in parts and frosting was almost there. I heard one of my guests went back for several slices.

Jennifer Peck: In my exhaustive search to find the best wedding cupcakes across Chicagoland up the I94 corridor to Kalamazoo, Michigan- I was about ready to give up and stumbled across C'est La Vie Cakes. After my first bite during the tasting - I knew that my search had come to an end! Courtney does an AMAZING job. We ordered 4 different flavors of cupcakes and a small round cake for cutting purposes and everything was delicious. Courtney goes above and beyond to make sure this process is delicious and easy. C'est La Vie will be my go to for any dessert needs moving forward. Thank you, Courtney for being a part of making my wedding so special.
mello yello: I cannot say enough good things about C'est La Vie Cakes. Courtney was amazing to work with from start to finish. We scheduled our tasting and brought along my maid of honor to her adorable shop. She was the friendliest person and took a ton of notes on what we liked, what we didn't like. She helped us figure out how much to buy as well. The tasting was so much fun, one of the highlights of wedding planning. We got to take home all the things we tasted and ate off it until we were sick.We didn't have a wedding planner, but she made organizing the drop off super easy. I didn't even see the desserts arrive because I was running all around getting ready. But when I saw them set up, I was stunned. They were GORGEOUS and smelled amazing. My sugar levels crashed about an hour before the ceremony and I was feeling shaky, so my mom brought me a cupcake off the table. It was delicious and it put me back right side up so I could be sugared up and ready for the ceremony.We completely forgot to confirm we needed trays. Rather than just say 'Oh well' and deliver the desserts hoping we'd figure it out, she brought the cutest trays along with her anyway to make sure the desserts had something to go on.They were a smash hit. People were obsessed with the cheesecake bites and I had a lemon bite and nearly fainted it was so good. Everyone loved them. I can't wait for the next chance to work with Courtney again just to get my hands on more of her incredible desserts.
Samantha House: Couldn't reccomend C'est La Vie Cakes enough for wedding cakes! Our whole experience with Courtney was great. We got to try many flavors at the tasting and Courtney took notes on which were our favorites. Then we made our final decision a month or two before our weddiing. The cake was not only stunning, but it was sooo delicious! I'm not usually a huge cake person and I ate three pieces that night LOL. Thank you so much Courtney!!

We originally ordered 100 more desserts before we received the final RSVP and within 30 minutes of the reception, every single dessert was GONE. I couldn't recommend them more.

I gave her a very vague description of what I wanted, because I honestly didn't know what to do for a 50th anniversary, we discussed flavors for a bit, that was it and she made masterpieces. EVERYONE, to a person, raved about the cupcakes. They looked amazing, they tasted better. The price was good, but I would've paid twice as much for what she came up with.

I ordered vanilla, chocolate, lemon, white chocolate raspberry, & carrot cakes. They were so moist, not too sweet, and the perfect size! The icing was not overpowering at all, I dislike buttercream due to the sweetness of it but this was nothing compared to others.. I plan on ordering again! Thank you!!

Amazing flavors, delicious, fun, etc. BUT today I picked up our cake and I was handed a paper bag that contained the 5 dozen bundtini cupcakes and then our small personal cake in a separate box. My first issue (that I originally overlooked) was that they handled me everything and offered no help. Next walking out to my car, as I placed the bag inside, the handle completely torn, tossing the top dozen over. So I opened those and fixed them upright. Thankfully I was able to sit the bag snugly in my backseat floor. However when unbagging these at home to put in the fridge, I decided to check all of them. EVERY BOX HAD CUPCAKES TOSSED AROUND IN SEVERAL ANGLES AND NOT SECURED. after looking into this I realize it is because the cake is flat bottomed (like regular Bundt cakes) but placed inside a cupcake tin, therefore there is no way to secure these flat into the cupcake wrap. No wonder they were all over the place! DO NOT ORDER BUNDTINI CUPCAKES. so now I have several cupcakes with flattened or messed up frosting on them and there will be no good way to transfer these to the venue Saturday without this happening again. Thanks for the help on our big day, most important cakes we have ever ordered…. At least I know they will taste good.
Ann Hardy: Ordered 6 Buntlet cakes, paid for 6 and the girl only put 4 in my bag. These were for Easter dinner tomorrow. I drove 1 hour and 10 minutes to visit this store for the 1st time. It will definitely be my last!!!

When I picked it up it was a 10 inch layered cake - and the lady said: you can cut it in 50 small one inch squares, so if it can feed 50 (!) it can also feed 30 people. A ten inch cake! Too bad nobody told us about this way of cutting a cake before (if you cut it this way, you have pieces without frosting because you have to cut horizontally, too). Hurray a one square inch piece of cake for a high school graduate ...I asked the owner if she ever tried herself cutting this cake which fed 12 people barely (regular triangular slices) in 50 slices (she siad 50 on the phone!): "No I haven't, but I know that ... caterers can because we have a chart." Because she has a chart - ah - but never tried it herself.From a professional store I expect professional advice.The quality of the chocolate cake itself was ok but not outstanding.Below is the store owner - not sorry at all - self defensive that it was a cake for 21 people - again if you cut it in abnormally small pieces of one inch - who does that at a private party? Last time I overpaid for the mediocre service there.Did you realize that she avoids the question whether she ever actually tried to cut 21 pieces herself out of this cake? She never has ... very professional indeed.
