La Candy Shoppe: what do users think?
Christie Cutler: I go there to buy cake boxes.
Jenell Rodriguez: I would like THE PEOPLE to know that La candy Shoppe is so great for decorations on cakes. I am a culinary graduate. There is not a huge variety of cute kids decorations in regular grocery stores that are cutting edge like spiderman or unicorns or even super cool festive seasonal holiday decorative choices. I like to get a beautiful cake a high quality cake to make both the kids and adults happy. I just place an edible sugar computer generated personalized kid's decoration with there own name on the top and sprinkle around the base of the cake to make it look festive....magic candles that light up again, (funny)plastic decor for a special touch ,(favorite joy of child)edible glitter and crystal sugar make it really sparkle. Please help support you local business by showing a little small business support to someone who put in extra care in expressing your love to your family. Be the change and awesome at the same time. ✌️🙂
Nancy Verdeyen: Betty and Lori are the best.
Leona Hein: La Candy Shoppe is my go-to for candy and cake making products. They stock items that can't be found at other local stores. I love having a local brick and mortar option instead of spending my dollars online!

samantha terry: It's a nice little place it has most things that you would need for baking and decorating. However if you're on a budget just remember that a lot of things that are common in the baking world you can find at the bigger stores for a much lower price
Dave Taber: Near empty.
Penny Kozinski: Always give military discount and vary helpful
Jen Barton: Love stopping I here when I have an event coming up. Good selection and prices. And sometimes you just need to look at a wall of decorating sugars to brighten your day.
Andrea Underwood: Best place in town for baking supplies!
Chaz Rich: Decent selection. Check amazon first because some prices are a bit high here.
Kim Wozniak: Prices Our Fair
Tammy Niezgodzki: Everything I could possibly need

Paul Martin: Got what we needed
Amanda Noack-Cogland: Wonderful experience! The women working there were super friendly and didn't seem to mind my kids that were shopping with me. My boyfriend also said its a good place and well be there more to checkout their supplies.I had a few questions and they were fast to answer and help!Thank you for the great experience!!
Chris Lockman: So many different cookie cutters and baking supplies
Diana Phipps: We are fortunate to have them here.

The South Bend Chocolate Company: what do users think?
Amy Wyngard: They do truly do have some amazing chocolate. We did the tour it was good, wouldn't suggest it with little kids but the samples were great. I wish they sold it in stores.
Kelly Seifried: Yum!
Sue Hanson: Had a great time & tasted a lot of goodies. We will be back. Lilly our tour guide was outstanding!
Robin Sheputis: This isn’t just for kids! As older adults we thoroughly enjoyed the Libby our tour guide. Chocolate is the best!
nicole hahaj: The best sandwich I’ve had in along time. They serve lunch on top of candy! Had no idea! And the panini was the best surprise ever. I expected a plain sandwich.
A.K. Weber: This place was a trip. We took the tour, it was disorganized and not well scripted. However there was a pile of wrapped up dinosaur bones they showed us in the back of a very dark warehouse. (Very willy wonka) They give out lots of samples which was nice. The chocolate was good. It's worth the stop if you are in town. Not worth a long drive.
Gary Romick: Great chocolate, the tour is very interesting, definitely worth it
Steven Lott: Chocolate and great customer service, thanks Mark for fulfilling your father's vision, Blessings!!
Stephanie Miller: The tour was informative, fun and included many samples
Ryan Robinson: I don't get over here as often as I'd like. So I stock up on essentials when I am here. So many great things here
Mark Kamp: Great chocolate milk best ever had
Yuleima Ortega: Bello lugar divinos chocolates y exelente almacén
Keith Bentzel: I enjoyed the tour and took some goodies with from the store.
Raimie Wheeler: Not only is the chocolate smell heavenly, but so are the discount prices. Imperfect chocolate still tastes great. 😋
Dana Adams: My family had a great time at the South Bend Chocolate Factory Tour. Libby was our tour guide and she was so personable and knowledgeable about the factory and any questions we had. We learned so much. We were impressed with how hands on the whole process is from start to finish. Plus the chocolate is pretty delicious too! We will be back to visit each time we visit South Bend. Thank you Libby!
Dave Frendreiss: The tour was very nice. We went on a Saturday though and the factory wasn't fully staffed. I would have liked to have seen the machines operating.
Rajneesh Armugham: Nice chocolate
Matthew Mcgrath: Wonderful chocolates. Staff were fantastic
Alison Grimm: Took a chocolate tour today and which it was very cool and got the sample pieces of chocolate
Jason Carozzi: Libby was a great tour guide, the tour was informative and fun. You got to see how some of the products were manufactured, and also got samples fresh from the factory production floor! It is definitely worth a stop. They also have a very large selection of specialty items available in the outlet store, with some really great sale prices!
I am Steve: My wife and I took our 3 grandchildren here for the tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and the tour is well worth the $5 price.Children under the age of 5 probably won't get a whole lot out of it but the samples help out. It's nice to see that some things are still done by hand and not everything is automated.Hand made chocolate does, however, come with a price. The outlet store is not cheap but the $5 tour ticket does come with a 10% discount on anything purchased the day of your tour.If you have 45 minutes to spare and you're in or around South Bend, Ind., stop by and take the tour. You may just learn something.

South Bend Chocolate Co: what do users think?
Anders: Lost its charmI'm in South Bend once a year to meet friends and have gone back to South Bend Chocolate factory and outlet store ON WEST SAMPLE STREET several times. I no longer recommend it. I couldn't find the items I like in the outlet store. Perhaps that could part of the supply chain issues everywhere. However, their attention to detail and customer care and family feeling has also declined. First, the website is messed up and sends you to a mall store or even a clinic in maps/directions, and my call just after they called was routed to a mall security desk. I wouldn't blame Google since I've personally found them quick to resolve direction mistakes. Second, I knew things were bad for the employees when one told me that they had a special on chocolate covered pretzels bags at two for $25. I asked how they could cost one for $12 and 2 for $25 and her response indicated it made no sense to her either. My impression is that the problems likely need to be resolved at the top, and the employees can just work there in the meantime.
Melissa Tompkins: Girls were super nice and I had the best drink from them yesterday mocha snowball 😍😋
Jeffery Brown: Very good for an occasional treat. Not cheaply done. Very high quality staff and food.
Judith Heston: Perfect place for breakfast food freshly made. No microwave cooking here. And delicious coffee. Muffin variety excellent too.
Richard Freeman: Great place
robert young: chocolate factory inside clinic... Great personality great Reuben sandwich
Daniel Armstrong: Didn't have Expresso machine , they were unable to make hot drinks
Karla Davila: Fun and Educational tour. My daughters and I loved it. The staff was warm and friendly. I personally loved dipping my own chocolate spoon. The museum was a nice surprise! I regret not buying more.
edward schrey: If you you like first rate chocolate is place is a must visit. You can not pick anything that is not great.
Thomas Cera: Great service, delicious chocolate, excellent variety. Go to the clearance section!

Wakarusa Dime Store of Mishawaka: what do users think?
Ellen 2: It used to have such a nice selection of candies and sodas. Now it's like a third of what there used to be. No fun sodas, no retro candies, no fudge... I am worried that it's on its last leg. The jelly bean room is gone
Brandy Grenert: Expensive
Kathy Holler: The ladies were amazing! I took my son and he doesn't like spiders! Not knowing that they had there Halloween decorations up already we were fine when we walked in until my son looked up and then freaked out!! The ladies that were there that day were very nice and trying to help to get him to calm down!! And I appreciate those 2 ladies!! It's a great little store I always enjoy it!!
Sunshine Matthews: You need to change your hours for sunday's if you close at 4 then it should be listed on here 4 not 5... Drove all the way from Columbus.
shawn friend-begin: Fun visit with tons of candies you’ve likely not seen in a while. Good selection of candies from abroad. Wonderful location and building simply enhances the contents. Cheerful staff make you happy you stopped in.Warning: you will leave with more than you planned.
Susan Ward: A fun experience but sadly, they are out of some of our favorite old school candy bars more often than not.
Alex M: Unique place to find some old fashioned candy and treats. Also just strange and interesting candy kids would enjoy.
Towanda Hill: Not as big as the original Wakarusa Dime store. Not a large selection.
Sarah “Wilson” Arnold: Prices are a bit high, but it has a nice variety and some retro candy. Also, nice staff
Kenneth Walden: We'll just giving it five stars have they more of the old timey candy
H&M Mich Co.: Good classic candies
Mike Conway: People who work there were very helpful & friendly. I love looking at some of the candies I had as a child, including bubblegum cigars!
Kristin Harris: Cute little store. Great candy! A little expensive but worth it
Louis Laroche: A home run for all candy buffs. Oldies, but goodies in abundence as well as fudge, jelly beans, etc
Kayla James-Grey: I've loved their jellybeans since I was a little girl buying them at Shipshewana on the Road, so when I came to South Bend for vacation, I had to stop in! Great prices, great jellybeans, great people.
Jake Scott: I don’t have much to say but I love the awesome candy selection
Lynn Ward: 😍😍😍
Henry Lewis III: Its a cool old timey place with old style candies from the past. Very cool place. My wife and I found some goodies there and will return soon.
Shaughnessy Cuzzocrea: Lots of choices! Love me some candy!
Teresa Emmons: Amazing, dont go in hungry, or feeling emotional you will spend way more than you thought possible in a candy store. js
Keith Speheger: If you want candy, they have it.

Sweet Treats Candy: what do users think?
Gordon Brown: great place and has great candy. I will be sure to order again!
Mikaya Siet: Best candy store in Indiana so many options to choose from and staff are super helpful and nice
Samantha Maines (Life with meatball): They were really rude to me and made me feel as if I’m stupid I would not go back there again. Not to mention the prices there are outrageous for some candy.
LJ Somontes: Lots of sweets and treats to choose from.
Melissa Rumple: There are so many cotton candy flavors to choose from! Wedding cake has to be my favorite, but Buttered Popcorn and Churro seem to be customer favorites!
Booker Leslie: This is the best place to buy candy in Northern Indiana, been going here for years. My favorite are the Sour Rainbow Belts, I could eat them all day. Plus the staff is very friendly and provides excellent service.
Dylan DeDario: Great place to go by yourself, some friends, or family. They also have a great assortment of candy and even stuffed animals ( if you're into that ). The store also has a very happy and welcoming atmosphere to it with kind, welcoming, and helpful employees for any needs. Whenever I checkout it is always super fast and always feel welcomed the entire time I am there. I would personally recommend going here after my countless great experiences.
My Alt: I’ve been going into sweet treats candy for years and i’ve received nothing but excellence there amazing custom service and just a overall W establishment overall!!!
maliki green: I was double charges 4 days ago and I called and was told I would get a callback..never did...called back next day ...told I would get a callback..never did...called again next day and the lady was rude telling me...I don't know what to tell you...GRRRRR...WATCH YOUR STATEMENTS PEOPLE.

South Bend Chocolate Cafe: what do users think?
Jadyn Chiu: Ate lunch here with a friend of mine today. The two cashiers said that they were the only employees working today due to short staff which is understandable but they didn’t seem knowledgeable of what they serve. We ordered the ham sandwich with a side of pasta salad and the ham tasted like it was undercooked. Came home feeling sick which was possible that it was from the sandwich. Gross! Don’t recommend eating the food from here but I’ve always loved the hot chocolate, coffee, and ice cream!
Stacy Smith: Great place good surroundings
Mike Hull: A truly unique local business, they've got a bunch of different things all under one roof with the grill food, chocolate, coffee, pastries and ice cream. The sandwich, ice cream were all awesome.
Mike Meeks: Coffee was smooth.
Tom Risk: Definitely not open until 10 pm on a Friday night. We arrived at 9:40 pm, tried 3 different doors, and all were locked. Lights were on but no one was home.
Gabby Santaquilani: 5 staff and 4 customers I stood first in line at cheesecake register and was never served left after 20 minutes. Very disappointed. Staff at candy counter said I had to wait for for cheesecake cashier to return.
fran kovatch: The cafe in here has great food. It's refreshing to come here and eat as they have unique dishes that are made fresh when you order. My favorite so far is the chicken Philly sandwich, but I can vouch for the grilled cheese being fantastic too. My kids also love the indoor playground which is free to visit and a great way to kill an hour or so.
Anastasia Blum: I love going to this cafe, and especially bringing my out-of-town family and friends there. It's just a good vibe, and awesome hot chocolate and mochas.
Gwenevere Mueller: Visited at 2 PM on a Sunday for a birthday party. The cafe had double booked so one party was in the party room and the other party was next to the play place. The party room was pretty big and quiet but lacked extra seating. The play place area was loud. After the party, we walked around a bit and the place is very large with several different sections. There is a candy section, a chocolate section (fudge, individual chocolates, chocolate-covered pretzels), a coffee area, a bakery with cake and baked goods, and a grill with food. The cafe ladies weren't the friendliest but one young gentleman was helpful and walked us to the party area when we didn't know where to go. The women's bathroom was pretty clean but not kid friendly (tp very far from toilet and sink faucets far away). Parking wasn't an issue at all and it wasn't very busy. Not sure if I would return again to eat but perhaps for a slice of fudge or cake.
good fun: Great chocolate the place is huge
Tony Strand (West Coast Screen): They have everything
Beth Pennings: I waited at the counter for 20 minutes while someone was working behind the counter. Totally ignored me, and yes, she DID see me. Finally got someone from another counter to come and wait on me. Customer service is really bad. Atmosphere is great. The food is good too but if you get something from the bakery (eg. a piece of coconut cake) BE SURE to insist on getting a piece from the middle and not the end piece. I don't know how long it had been there but it was so dry I almost choked on it. Once I sliced off the edge (about $2.50 worth), the rest was great.
Katie Latimer: Sold me stale cake. It literally was as hard as a brick. Cheese cake was also old. The edges were hard. Never agin.
Kyle Burch: Fun welcoming place to get everything from a sandwich to a beer. Also they have chocolate.
Jose Bercedoni: The muffins are good, and the coffee tastes just regular, the prices are too high.
Jimmy Tull: So many different layers to this place.y wife and I split a coffee and a slice of cheesecake by the fireplace, then played board games later on.
Bryan Russell Thomas: Excellent food, great staff, sometimes free stuff.
Cathy Lebryk: Amazing coffee and muffins there.
Elizabeth Tovar Ortiz: My husband and I enjoy going to this cafe but today for some odd reason we were not pleased with what we got. From the beginning there were two ladies up front, one counting money so we waited for her to say something as we didn't want to interrupt. A few moments later another girl asked with an attitude if we needed something. We ordered and then she just put our drink in the counter and didn’t say one word. She gave us a weird vibe throughout the whole time. Not only did we have someone rude make our drink but we got something that wasn’t even done right. The drink was supposed to be a white hot chocolate but I did not expect a white chocolate bar to be dumped in water???
oturo joyce: Love there hot Chia

Silly Wabbit: Solid service and staff. Menu items are always super fresh and made before your eyes. Pastries / salads / grab-n-go is too expensive, but fresh food made to order is reasonably priced. Iced coffee can't be beat, I get it every time sometimes even when coming back!!
