Carla H: I don't like giving low ratings, but I want my ratings to reflect my experience. To those who have never been. The inside is like the inside of a barn. It's pretty unique and cool to me. The lighting set the mood for a nice night out.During this trip, we only had to wait like 20 minutes. They did give us the option of eating upstairs in the "lounge". But, we declined. We were sat in a booth close to the entrance. There was a sort of fence-type wall, so privacy wasn't an issue. The issue for us, was the cold breeze from the exterior door. We were able to tolerate it.I felt the menu offered a good variety from which to choose. I went with fried chicken, my husband went with grilled chicken. The server was very attentive, refilling drinks promptly. I ordered the sweet tea. It was really good. I ordered a salad. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. When my plate came out I was surprised. For whatever reason, I imagined something else when I ordered. I thought I was getting fried chicken patties, like the sandwich option. That was on me. What I got instead was a half chicken, all the pieces were individually fried. My husband was like you should have seen your face. I don't typically order fried chicken because it doesn't always come out right. Unfortunately, that was the case here. It was slightly overcooked (sorry no pictures, I remembered too late). It also didn't seem to be seasoned at all. My husband said, "you must not be hungry". I was. I just didn't like the food, and I didn't want to complain. For my baked potato, I asked for sour cream and butter. They give you packets of "buttery spread". I don't eat margarine. With this being a sit-down restaurant, I was expecting real butter.I might give them another go and ask questions about the items on the menu so that I know what I'm getting.

Tyree Kirkland: I was disappointed my Perch wasn't hot and a few pieces were wet underneath, like it was cooked then placed under a heat lamp until the rest of the party food was completed. It would have been nice to be told that adding onions to a salad would be extra cost and same for salad dressing. I recommended the place but it didn't measure up to expectations. Aliasger Mhowwala: Amazing little place in South Bend. Truly a well hidden gem. The food was exquisite, you can easily feel the amalgamation of flavour and observe the effort the chef put in. It was artistic as well as delicious. The service was top notch and very personal. A great place for a nice date with a loved one or to relax and enjoy a delicacy with a friend. Definitely one of the best restaurants in South bend.

Every dish was plated with pristine care, and complimented by the environment and staff that introduced it.The five of us tried and shared nearly the whole available menu, and came away from our meal truly grateful for the experience and the flavors. The highlight for me, personally, was the Halibut (tho the oysters were phenomenal as well).I highly recommend this as a South Bend must visit spot!

brain 666: Warm, clean and inviting interior. The staff makes you feel like you belong as well as being super attentive. Dined in to celebrate valentine’s day, ordered the 5-course tasting menu with wine paring. Didn’t make past it to the 3rd dish before requesting an upgrade to the 8-course. It was just too good, everything about this restaurant is what you would expect, the plates got richer and more savory, the wine got bolder and it was all topped off with 3 desert courses! We spend well over a few (4) hours there and just wanted the food to keep coming. Chef’s tasting menu was a pleasant experience that is definitely worth trying, and returning for.
