If your in SB and your not having drinks here then you should be. Skip the hotel bars & pretenders. The Hideaway is the place.

jessica carpenter: We will never go back to this place.Its very dark, drinks are extremely expensive (we ordered 2 - double vodka/Cranberry and they charged us $35 for the 2 drinks) that was a first for us. The drinks that were made were awful...its not hard to make a proper vadka cran... anyways, we paid and left without drinking our drinks because they were just terrible. The staff/possible owner (?) who sat at the bar drinking his own stock, wanted to argue with us about the price of our 2 drinks. ...just rude...I would never treat my customers like that 😒.

Pascual Lopez: This is the place to visit. Do not lose your jaw when you walk in because the amount of whiskey they have is intense. The pricing for the drinks and whiskey are fair and reasonable. It is easy to spend over $100 here regularly because every time you go, they have more rare treats. Was able to have some whiskeys I have been searching for at a retail cost and not price gouging. Hammer & Quill is the bees' knees.

They have cool plans for what they want to do with the place, they have awesome service, they're welcoming, and they're personable people. They're always trying out new recipes, so there's always something awesome and new to try. Plus, if you want to reserve the place for a whole event you can! This will become a regular place for me. I highly recommend them for a great night.Update: they have actually improved since my last review! They have more drinks, a bigger menu for food, and are constantly becoming faster, more personable, and just... better! When I thought it seemed like a place that was constantly going to scale itself in an upwards direction, I wasn't wrong. And I'm looking forward to seeing what else they're capable of in the future, including catering for events! Not even joking, they can do that!
fernando izaguirre: Had a great time with my date. I don’t usually order tacos but when I do, it’s from a Mexican restaurant or a taco truck, so decided to give them a try here and they were amazing!!! Had a great time!!

We did not order food however it smelled amazing. The staff was very polite and attentive. However they were not well versed in their menus.I am looking forward to going back to eat and try some of there food.

Amy Radke: Was looking for somewhere new to go on Valentine’s Day and found this place! Wow! What a great decision! The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for me and my date! The old fashioneds were amazing along with the charcuterie board that we had! The waitress was also very friendly and wonderful! Another plus was the the history of the building! We will definitely be back! Thanks Whiskey Exchange Bar for a perfect Valentines Day!

Caitlin McClain: I went to the Exchange Whiskey Bar on Monday and it was not a planned trip. The assistant manager was the one to serve me. She knew what she was talking about lead me to the path of a drink that I really enjoyed. Looking forward to going back again. Sure the price might scare some but you actually getting twice the amount of booze than what you would get anywhere else. Plus no headache or hangover the next day was nice. Thank you for opening my taste pallet to better whiskey!
