Daniel K: They won't go in your attic if the hole isn't really super wide. Anything could be going on up there and I wouldn't even know now. 75% of the reason i called was I was worried about if rain was coming in the attic. But the guy was already at my house I didn't feel like I was allowed to cancel. I tried to give him a 20$ tip to please inspect the attic but he didn't want to climb up there. Granted it was an awkward area and if you're not in good shape you probably couldn't make it up there. Still gave him the 20$ tip because I'm not cheap, I just wish they could have at least offered like a discount as a discount because he could tell how disappointed I was and also so that I could try to find someone else who would maybe charge a small fee to inspect the attic.

Grover Ellephant: Had this company inspect a home we purchased. Since we've moved in, multiple contractors have pointed out things the inspector missed. Has cost us tens of thousands of dollars. Very disappointed.
Elissa Andert: Todd inspected a home we are buying, which is over 5000 square foot and required a LOT of investigating. I was shocked at how thorough he looked at everything. He shimmied up through the tiny attic entrance. He climbed the single story garage roof and the second story house roof. He used all sorts of scanners and sensors to test everything imaginable. We feel incredibly fortunate Todd was the person who inspected the house we are buying because we feel very confident that he checked everything that could be checked, and gave us a very thorough report with pictures. Kat Higgins: Every interaction with Celeste was frustrating from her inability to understand how to send a text message to my phone instead of my email, which she blamed me for, to her inability to answer simple questions like what the pricing of her inspection was without needing an extremely lengthy conversation in between my appointments. When I tried to explain that I only needed answers to very simple questions she became confused and continued talking. She struggles with being concise as well as polite. Despite the frustrating phone call, I greeted her kindly and went through with the inspection and at the end she told me that I was being rude because I didn't want to have an unnecessarily long discussion about what her pricing was. I just wanted simple answers. My realtor was so shocked because I had been kind to her during the inspection that she actually called me rude to my face that he was embarrassed and apologetic that he had recommended her. I would warn other realtors to take caution for the sake of their clients and customer relationships. And I hope for her sake she learns to be more curious, FAR more concise and a better listener.

Chris Dallaglio: Brian currently owes me over $1000 for services that I've provided for his home inspection company as far back as April of this year. I own a radon testing company and he has used us to perform radon tests during his home inspections. He will not respond to my calls or texts or emails anymore. He used to respond and tell me his Venmo account was hacked, he will pay tomorrow, I'm sorry I forgot etc. It's pretty pathetic that he would allow this to happen to an fellow small business owner. I have a family and kids that I provide for and I work hard to run an honest business. Be careful when choosing North Star for your inspections.

Sarah Jaffri: We started working with Brian in June 2019 when he inspected a townhouse that we were considered buying. He was incredibly thorough, provided a detail inspection report and answered many questions we had after receiving report. We ended up not buying the town house because of the many problems Brian pointed out within the house itself and what the down side of owning a joint property (i.e. sharing a wall). He also inspected our current house. His reports are very detailed and point out things that should be immediately fixed or things that can fixed over time. They also encompass things such as the age of roof, mechanicals, and point out missing tuck pointing etc. The report also includes maintenance on items such as the furnace, water heater, A/C etc.We definitely value Brian's work and opinion on the inspection of our home and could not have bought our home without his thorough and detailed inspection.

I first hired this company to do an inspection of my home in preparation to sell it. I had an idea of what items might be flagged as unsatisfactory but wanted to see what an inspector would have to say about those and other things I was not aware of. The inspection provided information before the house was put on the market and I was able to remedy some issues before the house was seen by the public. I chose to do repairs on some items but acquired estimates for others. And a couple of things I expected to be seen as faults weren't, because of the age of the house. It was valuable information. I was on the buyers side in the other inspections. We may know a lot about our own homes, but it's impossible to observe everything when walking through one you're not familiar with. Kyle Eagle: BB Home Inspection was referred to me by a work colleague and I was very impressed with Brian's expertise. Before making the appointment for home inspection, I called Brian and asked him how he does a home inspection. Brian explained that he had a knowledgeable background in HVAC systems prior to becoming a home inspector. Brian also explained the inspection process would consist of him being onsite for 2 -3 hours and then wanted me to arrive at a specific time, so that he could walk me through the house showing and explaining what he found. All the inspection items were also also well documented and detailed in his report. If I ever need to buy another home in the Granger, South Bend, Elkhart, Edwardsburg, Michiana area, I'm calling BB Home Inspection.
