DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel South Bend: what do users think?
Benjamin Dick: Rooms: Nice and cleanFood & drinks: The bar downstairs has a decent philly.
Jimmy Lee: I normally don't give hotels a 5 star rating without a great wow factor, but Hilton properties earned it in every way.Check in has always been fantastic. Desk clerks are helpful and friendly. Rooms are awesome with a great view. The restaurant on site is great with tv.s. and never really that busy. The best part is location..... My favorite Irish pub in America is one block over and within walking distance. Fiddlers Hearth.
Jamie Caporosso: The ol girl is due for a face lift. Just a little run down now and showing her miles for sure.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Charles Slappey: Noteworthy details: Kelly says cookie was goodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Philip Taffe: Our room was nice. The steak from bakers bar & grill was good. The pool was good, but I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed
CH Wms: I had an event on Saturday in Salon B, with about 65 people; from planning with Amber W, sales manager to execution with Ericka and Tahje banquet servers/hosts everything was perfect. Ericka and Tahje did an exceptional job, they were right there to make sure all of my needs were taken care of in a very professional and seamless manner. They get a 10 out 10!!! Thank you
Terry Pollock: An absolute joke for the money spent. And they say it's a toom that could go for 899.00 a night. Truly, anyone staying one night knows that's a complete joke. Found ice cream containers and to go bags underneath the bed from the prior customer, so did the sheets get changed then? We planned to eat there, and sat at the restaurant for 20 minutes before even being acknowledged. I'm patient just please acknowledge me.Oh well, lessoned learned, and so are all those that ask a good place to stayDisappointed ~~
James Payne: We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The parking garage was easily accessible, the room was nice, and the location was really good. I’d give this 5 stars if the front desk would have handled the 3pm check in queue better than they did.
Tom Risk: Very clean! Warm cookies!!
Emily W: This hotel is hyped up to be more than it actually is. The hotel staff is nice, and the lobby is welcoming. However, when you get to your room it’s disappointing. The rooms are small and dull. Water stains on the ceilings. The water pipes scream when you take a shower. Our air conditioning/furnace was on the fritz, so it was never a decent temperature in our room. AND in the pool room, the hot tub is out of service (indefinitely). When booking the hotel over the phone the gentleman assured us they had a hot tub, I guess it was wrong of us to assume it was working. The location is pretty much the best thing about this hotel.
MJ Mitchell: Great stay.Clean and refreshing. Great view from the corner room. Was a little difficult to find hotel but overall good stayRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More
Michael Keller: Amazing place. Best location. Awesome food. Really cool hotel. Very clean. Great food. Great staff. One of the best DoubleTrees I’ve stayed at. We’ll be back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jim Lee: Hard to give a Hilton property a 5 star, but as a diamond member they deserve it. I had to park an oversized vehicle and they went beyond what they needed to to help me find a spot. The rooms are 5 star and the location is close to bars, restaurants, and venues. The building is architecturaly is amazing. Defiantly my must stay when I'm south bend. Thanks to the entire staff as well as restaurant and bar staff.

Courtyard by Marriott South Bend Downtown: what do users think?
Brian Czerwinski: Our room was on the second floor right above the dumpsters that were promptly emptied at 6am. Very very loud. Then there was some sort of sawing going on outside from 6:30 for an hour till it started raining. Thank God.Went down for breakfast and got 2 11 dollar breakfast burritos and an 11 dollar avocado toast. The burritos although stupid expensive were ok. The avocado toast was 1 piece of bread wil a small piece of avocado that was not spread on the bread with a hard boiled egg and some mystery greens. Total rip off.The room was clean though. Just super loud.
Cynthia: I originally booked a reservation for residence inn south Mishawaka. I checked in and realized this was a homeless shelter. I called Marriott in south bend and spoke with Eric to make a reservation since I had nowhere to stay since I have my pet with me. This hotel doesn’t allow pets and he was so rude and hung up on me. I will be calling corporate
April Thorne: Met all our expectations.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Lutfiye Beldek: An incredibly bad hotel, lower-budget hotels are actually more comfortable believe it or not, but this hotel is not worth the money.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
ldwalton75: Jason at the front desk was super friendly checking us in and out. Location was meer steps from our concert venue. And, we gathered in the lobby afterwards.Quiet! Slept like a baby.Rooms were nice, clean, spacious.Rooms: Two queen beds, clean, coffee, nice size bathrooms, comfortable beds and pillows. I slept great!!!
Latrice Bird: The rooms R Boss but the pool is small Small!!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Nick Gore: My favorite place to stay in SB! Owen, Korey and Tyler go above and beyond every time and won’t stay anywhere else in the area.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Glenn Erickson: Nice hotel. No hot tub, which is a bummer.Close to good restaurants. The shower had mildew. And there really isn't free parking that google states ( go to website), anything free is short-term, so you stuck with Is Valet parking.
Andrea: My stay was great! The staff met all my needs for my pj nye sleepover with the kiddos! The lady that works at the front desk Lesley was amazing! Room was clean and I had everything I needed and our view of downtown was a plus!!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sally Smith: Stay was ok! Very disturbed by what I saw. Lovely lady checking us in. In town with Corporate event. The lady was trying to deter the noise but it was unavoidable. The Valet attendant fell asleep in the lobby and the snoring noise was unbelievable. This guy couldn’t keep his head up but was parking our cars. I’m sure there is more to the story. Front desk was not at liberty to say. Pretty sure he was under the influence of something. Beware of Sophi Valet. Potential Liability here with your vehicles.
Marie KFT: Fantastic staff, clean rooms and lobby.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Devon Harris: Was here for God daughterRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Kid-friendly …More
C. Morgan: While visiting South Bend I booked and stayed here for a weekend (Saturday/Sunday) having arrived fairly early in the morning on Saturday I found parking to be difficult to say the least. The Hotel has a small Valet lot (which was full), there are local business lots close (signage indicated for customers only, all others towed which is understandable) and street parking (some of which is on a time limit basis) we finally found a street parking space and hiked it back to the Courtyard. Upon entering the Hotel the common area was mostly tile and was fairly clean. Got the room keys. The room looked good, was clean, thoroughly checked for bed bugs and seen no signs of them. Settled in for a quick nap. Pillows smelled musty. Not sure why and that's a first for me, but they were kinda musty smelling. Was a quiet location for the most part. Guests could be noisy at times but that's the way most Hotels are in my experience. Got up and took a shower. Nice looking shower with a half glass wall and no closing door. The problem was the water easily splashed out onto the tile floor which quickly became a slip hazard (explains the drain in the floor right by the entrance to shower) put a towel down all good. This Courtyard is very close to many local restaurants/nigh life businesses and the Century Center directly across the street was nice.. location is great! Sunday morning found us trying to get a breakfast from their services in the common area. What a freaking disaster. Do not go there. Walk to a local business. It will be better and faster. The order was placed and we waited and waited and waited. 30 minutes later we were told our plain bagel was not available. Finally got breakfast sandwiches. Eggs cold. Cheese not melted. Bacon seemed to have been frozen and reheated. Not good. All in all this was an okay experience I suppose. Location great. Rooms pretty nice. Parking...ehh... I would probably stay again due to the positives. Just be aware of the terrible food services here.Walkability: Within walking distance of many local restaurants/night life/business and the Century Center.Food & drinks: Hotels food services are not good. Subpar to say the least.
USA Ambassador Pageant: Great new hotel in a perfect central location to be able to walk everywhere! Great staff as well including Leslie who went above and beyond for me, when I walked in at 10:30pn realizing I was at the wrong Courtyard. In 10 min she had us in a king room, and even was gracious enough to call to cancel my reservation at the other courtyard!
Roberto Ghizzoni: This is terrible. Service is in existent. Valet works front desk as well. The bistro is only manned when the person remembers to come in and at 7AM nobody was in site for one day while the other day, there being only one person it was too slow and I ended up leaving without breakfast. Mobile key does not work and they maintain that at this property “they don’t use it”, but is this not a Courtyard by Marriott like all others? Finding someone at front desk is a miracle and of course they only clean your room every other if you ask and even then, maybe yes, maybe no…. Terrible experience , bad news for the brand.
Bill O brien: Horrible customer service from mangers to housekeepers will never come back
ZaC Wright: Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly staff

TeJae Jackson: The hotel is gorgeous and had a whole room set aside for keeping rambunctious hockey playing kids entertained because "we know they have lots of energy to burn." This is a first for a hotel to plan for and accommodate hockey kiddos like this in 9 years of traveling for hockey with my 3 children. It made us feel welcome instead of dreaded, which is HUGE. When booking for hockey tournaments you almost never have an option on where to stay, and to know many hotels don't actually want your hockey players there just makes the whole experience feel icky, like you're walking on eggshells. This was refreshing and wholly surprising. The rooms are beautiful and spacious - very comfortable.
Edgar Rodriguez: Staying at this hotel makes me feel like home. The evening chef prepares quality fresh food and the front desk staff is very professional.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More

Katrina L Wilson-Ross: Great hotel! Great customer service and breakfast was good as well. The only small issue was the thermostat controls were very confusing! View from the 14th floor!
Trish Boccuti: The sleeping rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. Love the dry bar toiletries as well.Today we had a business meeting and the room was very spacious and the team the took care of our food and beverage was great. The food for the meeting was average- not bad; nor great. But the great staff help made up for that!

No complaints at all other than some of the sports (hockey) "inconsiderate parents" and their rude unruly kids. This is not a play ground. Its a nice establishment. I truly appreciate a clean, nice hotels, with a great staff and good food. Also I love kids. Kids will be kids, but the parents can do better.

Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame: what do users think?
anthony cavegn: I live out of state and traveled 7 hours to come here for a work conference. It wasn’t until a week after I arrived home that I realized I left one of my bags in the room. They went above and beyond to make sure my property was kept safe until I could retrieve it. The staff was so kind throughout my stay and the breakfast was absolutely killer. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Embassy Suites!

Lisa Varrie: We weren’t aware that the Embassy wasn’t suites. We weren’t advised that when checking out we needed our room key to leave parking lot after check out we normally leave our key card inside hotel we were stuck for over 20 min waiting on someone to let us out and another couple was also waiting prior to us.Rooms: Not what we are use to being diamond members we did realize they weren’t suites.Noteworthy details: The hotel should make sure when you check in that you are aware that you must take your room key with you at checkout to leave the parking garage we were stuck for 20 min along eith another couple
Elizabeth Phillippo: Hotel itself was great but the maid stole my yeti cup while we were out to lunch.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Roger Draft: This outstanding hotel is across the street from Notre Dame and actually appears to be a part of the campus. We were fortunate to be traveling mid week rather than a football weekend, so were able to get a beautiful, well appointed room. From an evening reception with complimentary drinks and appetizers to a comfortable bed, a large screen TV, an exceptionally clean bathroom and a much better than average complimentary cafeteria style breakfast, we felt treated as welcome guests. It is easily accessible to and from US 31 and the Indiana toll road.
Kim Pop (kimpopusa): Made to order breakfast. Please also offer oat milk at coffee area. Convenient to campus.
Kim Griffin: Left a jacket & shirt in the closet and housekeeping did not turn in to front desk. When I called back management ignored my request to check with housekeeping. Next day management said too bad.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Greg Moran: Great hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, they recently started charging for parking which, I believe, was previously free for diamond members. I have stayed here a few times and this is the first time I was charged.
Sandra Kemp: Meeting rooms nice. Good service and food. Great location. Room temperature was cold, so layer up.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rachele Plencner: Beautiful hotel. We used their meeting rooms and catering services as well as numerous guest rooms. Everything was excellent.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nate: Staying at Embassy Suites is such a joy...if ever our family had an issue it was quickly resolved. Thanks to the staff for taking great care to the many details that have to happen to make a home away from home run so smoothly! Great job....especially to Michael at the front desk and Chef Mario and Chef Patrick.
Dan Morris: Separate charges for everything. Beds very hard
Roselene Lange: It’s super overpriced, not clean enough. We stains in our sheets, not enough blankets and it’s an old hotel. Breakfast is great, but takes forever to replace coffee. I mean if you are going to overcharge, then it’s better to have an excellent service. I had no choice on picking a hotel.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Amanda Robinson: Great looking hotel with nice and helpful staff. However, the beds are unbelievably awful and uncomfortable. My guest and I had a very hard time falling asleep. I can't express how awful the bed was.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Chris Spinelli: Very friendly staff, nice hotel, nice rooms!Rooms: Nice roomsNoteworthy details: Good breakfast spread.

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott South Bend at Notre Dame: what do users think?
kevin knox: Rudest staff and we had a dirty room! Check in wasn’t until 6 and our room still wasn’t available. We viewed the room and returned our keys at the front desk after experiencing the room for one minute and the manager on duty, named Justin, got extremely confrontational with me, a silly immature paper tiger, but extremely rude and unprofessional; we checked into the Embassy Suites next door. The staff at the ES were amazing, kind, and appreciative to have our business. I wouldn’t recommend this particular hotel if you value your dollar. One employee who stood out above the obnoxiously rude help was a young polite dark skinned man named Ryan, he was professional, understanding and recognized how inappropriate the staff was and the engagement that occurred. Ryan needs to be the manager and right quick, for this location is advantageous to Notre Dame but the staff on duty are aloof, inconsiderate , defensive and down right obnoxious. I have never wanted to leave a place so immediately. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Yaqui Ordaz: The room was great however on the last night on my stay we didn't get room service, which left us with no clean towels or refills on some of the necesities.Walkability: There's plenty of stores and restaurants near by where you can walk to.
Constance Dempsey: Huge shout out to Ryan the front desk supervisor!! He has the best customer service skills and made us feel so welcomed! He helped set us up with a last minute conference room reservation for a bday party because we were NOT satisfied with our reservation at another hotel. He was understanding and eager to help make our stay awesome! Thank you Ryan, you were exactly what we needed to turn our nightmare into a dream!!
Concourse Travel Group: Hotel is great in a very convenient location. Surrounded by new development just blocks from Notre Dame campus. The hotel is fairly new and the interior is clean and up to date. I would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.
Grace Rodarte: Everything it’s ok , except the only thing its(weird)THE PARKING LOT have a cost ($11) for night (no include in your night in the hotel) , nobody told me when I did the reservation or my check in ,so be aware or look for the park lot it’s in front to those hotels.
Donald Eldridge: I. Absolutely in love with Susan she is a pleasure to see every month. Its like a welcome home everytime. I come monthly for the ND EMBA program and enjoy my stay every time.Rooms: Nice rooms very clean good size
Charles Quilty: Good desk service. Room was clean and very comfortable. Decent breakfast served.Hotel highlights Great value …More
Joe McKernan: My reservation at the Fairfield South Bend, IN, which I booked and prepaid a year in advance of my stay (via Expedia) was cancelled by the hotel management without any notification or explanation to me. Good luck to anyone who booked here. Check and confirm your reservations as the Fairfield Marriott in South Bend, IN will not hesitate to rebook your room at a higher price to someone else. What a sham hotel and management. Do not stay here!
Dominic Aquila: One of the worst Fairfield Inn's we stayed in. Hot water was out for a day, just when the temperatures dropped significantly. We stayed for four days and had our room refreshed on the third day even though I requested it on the second day. The day time management is kind of wise-guyish. The breakfast was cold, no hot offerings. I would never stay there again, even though we travel to Notre Dame often.
Mark Ficken: We canceled 48 hours in advance for gameday. Still charged me the entire cost of the room. Case resolution team clearly disorganized and unwilling to make any changes. Maybe they need my 2k for renovations? Please donate your money elsewhere.Service: 1/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rafael Polidoro (polidorobio): The venue is good. Room space is great. Breakfast is decent and complete. I got a lot of allergies from the AC.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
PK C: If I could give this hotel negative stars, I would. (That would be a first). I had a very late check-in. Parking lot empty. (But I was charged $11 for parking in an open lot) First room the a/c unit spewed a weird smell. So, in my pjs was told at first i I would be charged for another night because I checked in after midnight. Finally after standing in a lobby for 20 minutes in pjs, I got another room. Room has sewer flies and mold.Could not sleep, coughing from mold, I went to "breakfast ". That was microwave Jimmy Dean egg sandwich or muffins.Sorry Marriott, you are across from a beautiful campus and this is the best you can do?
David Hickin: The hotel is understaffed, but the workers were very friendly. The property is not well kept and the cleaning service is challenged. There was overflowing trash in the outdoor bins by the front for both days. There was no soap or shampoo in the shower, and the facial bar is tiny. The ac unit was noisy and inconsistent, which was annoying bc we could hear the people in the next room all night long. All in, no major issues, but enough annoyances such that I cannot recommend.
Rob G: Management is terrible and the housekeeping service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady at the front desk was working frantically while the managers were in the back office talking loudly and using inappropriate language. Room was very small for what I paid. Will not stay here again.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Ty P.: I stayed in a suite at this location and it was nice and spacious. Crisp linens, soft bed, and clean rooms. Ample parking and within walking distance to food, shops, and Notre Dame University. Housekeeping was on point & timely. Breakfast options are available but nothing hot was served (all convenience foods) kinda lacking in this area. Fitness room & pool were all great. I had to use the business center briefly and that was a convenient amenity.
evildiesel Rink: Nice location close to Notre Dame, easy parking and clean facility.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stylianos Nikas: Possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen. I booked a room for a business meeting for 5 days. The room was old and the air-conditioning on it was noisy. First day I come back and my door was wide open. The door was problematic and didn't close properly so the cleaning stuff just left it open. Even if the card was given just to secure the booking, as usual with booking.com when payment is handled by the hotel, they proceeded to charge the whole amount of money before I even arrive. Tv was not working, no cleaning for 3 days and finally and worst of all, they still have left a pre-authorization to my card a month after they charged the whole amount. No one answers the messages through booking and the staff in the phone just says it's not their responsibility / they don't know.

It's so close to Notre Dame and any activities you may want to do there, but you're also right downtown by the river and can walk around to restaurants. The online instructions for everything were super easy. The room was just as pictured and it was very clean. We will definitely be staying here again.

M Abednego: The unit was clean, comfortable and conveniently stocked with well thought out basics. Our only slight inconvenience was that parking was hit or miss even though parking was included in the package. The alternative parking was nearby. Overall very good and we would stay here again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Juliet Ragaishis: We stayed at Kasa for the Notre Dame Graduation weekend. It was a lovely experience; simple and easy to use. The apartment was clean and located close the the Notre Dame campus. Honestly, there was only one drawback. Parking was a bit tricky - not impossible, but tricky. We always found a spot, but sometimes we were literally the last spot in the parking lot. I wonder if there were others who did not get a spot in the lot. Made me wonder if parking was an issue as we returned around 10pm to our unit each night. Just an observation, not a complaint.
John Pierson: We stayed for 5 days, the apartment was very nice, clean. Kitchen was fully stocked, had coffee & tea. Bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space, loved the fact that there was a washer & dryer. We were close to ND and our family. There were a few minor things that needed fixed, but nothing detoured our stay. Parking was not the best, we have a full size truck and the spots seemed more for compacts.
Heather Callaghan: This is a hidden gem! So happy we chose to stay here! It was extremely clean, had every needed amenity and when we needed help they took care of it faster than expected. You won’t regret staying here.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Claire Ecklund: We just spent an amazing 5 night stay at the Kasa apartments in South Bend. This past weekend was our son's wedding, he lives full time in the same complex (The Pointe at St. Joseph Apartments), so many of our out-of-town family rented all 10 of the units Kasa offers. One unit was right next to his! All the units were spacious, clean and well appointed. There were a few different room configurations, but they were all great. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics, we had coffee, tea, sugar, creamers, salt, pepper, Olive Oil, paper towels, and dishes, pots/pans, dish soap, DW detergent, etc..Besides being in the same complex, which made group activities and ride-sharing easy, we all loved how easy it was to walk to so many places: multiple coffee shops, bars, liquor store, restaurants, parks, bars, the walking trail along the river, downtown, bars, etc. There is also a nice sized recreation room with pool table, couches, kitchen, big screen TV, etc. which worked great for meeting up and hanging out between wedding related events. The pool area would also be great, but it wasn't open yet.Things to be aware of:There are no elevators in the buildings with 2 bedroom units, so if you are in a 2nd or 3rd floor unit you will have stairs to deal with. The 1 bedroom units are in the main building and there are elevators for those. We had our 88/86yr old parents, so requested a 1st floor unit. Kasa was very accommodating. Also, the sliders on the first floor go directly to the patio at ground level, so that provides easy access if you have other people coming and going. We didn't have to deal with key fobs and door codes for EVERY in and out(20-somethings returning from the bars closing for example). Each unit can get a parking pass, but as the evening progresses, the lot fills up. There is overflow parking across the East Race (canal) which wasn't too far of a walk from our building, E. We only had to park one vehicle from the 10 units in the overflow lot, and I think that was only 1 night when we didn't get back until 12:30am.The Kasa Customer Service people were extremely helpful. 3 or 4 of the 10 units had trouble with their initial key codes to their apartment doors. But the Kasa people worked it out for them.If we ever have reason to come back to South Bend, I would definitely stay here again!
Debbie Chi: Spacious and clean. Nicely decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Check-In and check-out process was easy. Kasa uses generic photos for postings and the apartment did not look like what we saw in the photos during booking. Will definitely consider staying at Kasa properties again.
Sarah: My friends and I stayed here for a Notre Dame football weekend and will definitely be back. The place was great: easy check in/out, very roomy, the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, it had all the amenities we needed (shampoo, conditioner, soft TP, plush towels, and even a diffuser on the hair dryer for my curly-haired friend!). The wifi was fast and the parking was easy.My only comment is the water in this area is very hard so I recommend bringing some bottled water.

Alicia Moon: We have stayed here on multiple occasions. The location is great, they offer many breakfast options, and the staff, for the most part, is great. Any time we've had any issues, Aurora quickly fixed them for us, and helped us in any way we needed. She definitely deserves a raise/promotion! Dhani “Prax” Powell: Really enjoyed staying at the Ivy Court Inn & Suites. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable (and spacious!), breakfast had a variety of options, and there were great places to just sit and relax whenever we were around the hotel. The rocking chairs on the porch that looked out at the intersection of Angela Blvd and Twyckenham Dr. gave a really nice view to just watch the traffic and enjoy the scenery. I recommend getting a beverage and sitting out there at sunset if you're at the inn around that time. There is a great fitness center, vending machines, and even a laundry room in case you need to do a load while you're there. The mini fridge in the room had a small freezer, which came in handy for the icepacks I keep in my soft-sided cooler. While the inn isn't in the heart of downtown, it's only a couple of minutes away, and being next to Notre Dame offers a great advantage to do a walking tour of the campus. Or, rent a bike from the front desk and bike around!! This is definitely a must-stay location if you're visiting South Bend.

Ira Thor: I was passing through South Bend on a road trip with my son and wow, what a find this was! I'm sure it is super busy during the school year but on a summer weekend, it was perfect. Pleasant surprise to have a suite and be able to stretch out. Quiet, very competitively priced, and safe. Got a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a little lighter than expected and they were out of most food 30 minutes prior to the end of breakfast; that's my only critique. Otherwise, I would stay here again.
Vidalis Lopez: Fresh, “homey” full breakfast! For a family of four, we were thrilled with the morning delights The staff team shows great hospitality. Kudos to the kitchen team!!!! Rooms- again, clean, inviting, spacious suite. Beyond the franchise/chain-kind of hotel. If we ever come back to visit Wisconsin, no doubt/ I will reserve here! Grateful.

The staff is the friendliest I’ve ever seen. Everyone from the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, and even a maintenance person riding up the elevator with me, was very welcoming and friendly. That’s something you just don’t see every day. Also, I stayed on a non-football weekend, and the pricing was surprisingly very reasonable for the quality of hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The Inn at Saint Mary's: what do users think?

Marky: Very nice staff. Professional and efficient! The rooms are spacious and clean. I chose this motel bc their website indicated there was a steam room and sauna and I called to verify they were working. It turns out there’s no steam room and the sauna was barely warm and certainly not hot. I paid a premium to stay there for those amenities so I was disappointed.
Ryan Thummel: The interior is a bit dated. But great location off the highway and close to Notre Dame. Holiday Inn Express & Suites South Bend - South, an IHG Hotel: what do users think?
DGK official: Hotel has bed bugs poor staff and very bad management hotel staff looks up guest information to Facebook stalk and there’s no study management meeting rooms aren’t ever clean n set up they let homeless stay in lobby and racial profile and would raise rates if they felt like itRooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Andy: This location looks to be pretty new and I found it to be in good condition. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The common areas also looked to be well maintained. There was a typical sized pool for a HIE and it was a comfortable temperature. It was conveniently located right off the highway and there were several food options nearby. The breakfast area was well-stocked and kept clean. There were a couple issues I noticed, the first was the thermostat in our room, it had an error message on it and we were unable to adjust the temperature. Second the pool had an odd smell to it while we were using it; we attempted to use it in the morning before we left but were told we'd have to wait an hour because they were putting chemicals in it. I understand needing to clean the pool but it was frustrating that they didn't do this before the pool's posted open hours. Finally, we requested a room on a higher floor and we were given a room right off the lobby on the first floor. The hotel was pretty empty so it was not a matter of availability.Overall, it was a good place to stay as we passed through and the price was reasonable. I would stay here again.
Jennifer Newkirk: This hotel is not for groups. We had the police called on us for eating dinner in the dining area. Apparently people talking and eating at 6 pm was police worthy. No one was yelling, cursing, or drunk. No kids were being obnoxious. Everyone was quiet during mandatory quiet time. I've been attending tournaments for 5 years now. Heck, Drury Inn encourages families to hang out in the lobby! This was unreal. And before the manager said, "You were happy when I left", I was. I was until one of our families was double charged and you wouldn't even speak to him about it, saying he had to go to the tournament company. No, that's not the way this works. You charged him. You must refund him. You also did a round about now that we are not in the hotel and again made it seem like the families were the problem. So glad I took video. I will be sending it to corporate.Edit after manager responded: the guest that called the police was the guest in the lobby that was told to shut up twice by your staff. Further, don't you think it strange that all of us that have attended tournaments for years, some as much as 10 years, and this is the only time we've encountered a problem with hotel staff anywhere?
Jesse Wisdom: Hotel is fine for a hotel. The staff was unreasonable and called the police for eating dinner in the lobby/breakfast area. There were three groups not causing any issues. We were here for sports tournaments. If they don't want people in your hotel then they shouldn't partner with tournament companies that will fill their spaces. I do not recommend this hotel. I have never been treated this way at any hotel or resort.
Leah Foster: Communication is horrible between employees, you get different answers depending on who you talk too. Some employees were extremely nice and helpful and others weren't. The hallway smelled strong of weed from a birthday party that they had at the hotel in their rental space. The pool was nice and clean, and the room was clean as well.
Jakobi Lyons: I loved everything about my stay here at the hotel. The staff was great and welcoming. The only issues that I had is that we needed extra blankets for the kids and was told they were out and or weren’t clean by the time we went to sleep. As a father i kept my cool and just give my kids my blankets and just used the shower curtain as a blanket. Derry greatly apologized about what happened and gaves us a great compensation. Other then that I would book again.
jessica pedzinski: My boyfriend and I stayed there while visiting from out of town. Upon arriving it appeared to be a nice hotel, I have worked for a holiday inn myself, so I knew I would be welcomed and reminded why I stay at IHG properties. Upon walking into the lobby, we were immediately greeted with a friendly, warm smile. A young gentleman by the name Derry, was the agent checking us in. It was a quick and efficient check in process. He made sure to mention my boyfriends status, and told us about the perks we are receiving being IGH members. He even did an exceptional job telling us what was fun to do in the area, as it’s been a while since we have been in the area. You can tell Derry took pride and had passion in his job, he was so kind and admirable. It’s not often you come across workers in hospitality that are that way, especially after Covid. You can tell he will go far and is a wonderful asset to this team. (I can see him growing with the company and promoting with his personality and drive) We will definitely stay here again, and I’d like to think Derry made our visit extra special out of everyone we came across.
linda Weinberg: Rooms: Very clean and niceNearby activities: Casino, shopping, restaurants.

Robert Pitzer: For starters, my wife and I are frequent HIE visitors and "snobs" almost. So first thing I noticed was how clean, fresh, and new the South Bend HIE was. Yes, a spot or two may not have been SPOTLESS, but this location FAR EXCEEDS other hotels I've been too. What's more, I asked for a late check out. And as my workday progressed, I had a feeling I wouldn't make it back before the check out time (to change out of work clothes and such) so I called and spoke with Angela. She was more than accommodating and assured me I could come after the actual time.... which I did and was giving her my keys because I felt so bad, but she was adamant that it was fine, I should freshen up, relax, etc before traveling again.SO HOSPITABLE! I was blown away by Angela and the rest of her team there and look forward to my business bringing me back to the HIE-South Bend!Oh and one more thing specific to Angela I almost forgot.... she had been there all day and before her shift changed, her replacement called in unable to work, phone was ringing crazy, the elevator broke down, people were steadily coming to check in and she ONLY HAD A SMILE and positive words coming from her. Furthermore, between all this, she took the time to help a young lady schedule travel to get home for an emergency. Absolutely stellar job Angela!
Rob Simones: Staff breakfast rooms fine. But make sure you get receipt right at checkin. They will steal your money and rates will increase at checkout time and your card is charged do not expect your incidental charges to be returned they will add it to room rate I've been staying at motels constantly since 2019 and have never been stolen from my job puts me on road all year but I for sure will be staying elsewhere. Actually the comfort suites in Elkhart including taxes only charged 108 and there breakfast rooms and staff are good. Here they have laundry facilities and even offer laundry soap
Tone: They got two goats on their roster, S/O Angela and Carmen.Them Queens are what customer service is all about and I would like to show my appreciation and give them their flowers. They truly make you feel like family and make the stay comfortable THANK YOU LADIES. The hotel itself is a great stay, the beds and rooms are clean, the water pressure is on point, hot breakfast, and you can take a dip and get ripped cause they have a indoor pool and a fitness room so I highly recommend this place.

The new general manager & the sales manager are phenomenal human beings. Really can't get better than here!
