Excellent multilingual selection of books for kids and adults. Solid multimedia collection. Local history section upstairs is a great resource on Michiana, Indiana, and the Midwest. They got rid of late fees too. The library is a community gem, especially during the long winters.

They have an arcade and a cafe that offers variety of drinks and bakery items. You can also reserve study rooms. They have a courtyard, auditorium, and a ballroom. Nice place to come and read books or bring your little ones to play in the play area.

Angela V: The staff are beyond friendly and personable! It's super clean, quiet but not so quiet that you feel if you drop a book you'll be side eyed. The little kiddo play area is super cute and looks like it'll keep kids entertained for awhile! I learned that if you are a library card holder you can use their private rooms for non-profit meetings for free which is pretty awesome as well. Over all - pretty great place to be!

Sherry Breland: These are the NICEST librarians! I remember this as my "happy place" as a child. And now I've moved back into the neighborhood I couldn't wait to get a new library card and come back. They helped me look into programs (like the free lead testing). They helped me with paperwork and copies. So proud to teach me all that's available now. I excited about some of the classes available. So much has changed and all for the better! I HIGHLY recommend this branch to make you feel welcome and help you. They have me excited to go see the renovated main branch too!! I bringing a couple old-timers with me to see it and talked them into getting cards while we're there!;

Like all of the St. Joseph Public Library System, the Centre Township Branch staff is helpful, the building is wonderful (and accessible), and the selection is great. If there are things that you need that aren't available at this branch, the library staff will be glad to help you locate it either from other branches, from inter library loan, or by adding it to the list of items for the library to procure. (Our library system is very good about procuring new items!)There are meeting rooms available for a variety of activities, & it's easy to rent one either through the library website or with the help of library staff. A glance at the library calendar will offer a glimpse into a variety of activities that might interest you!Aside from various clubs that meet at the library, there are also plenty of library activities that go on through the week for people of all ages. Whether it's storytime for preschoolers or gaming for teens or reading clubs for adults, there are a variety of activities going on.My favorite part of the Centre branch is over in the kids' section. There's a light up constellation map on the ceiling, and it's quite awesomely done! You should check it out the next time you're there!

Sarah B!: I would give this place 5 stars, but I don't always feel comfortable there. The adult section is creepy, but that's where some good books are. Younger people shouldn't got to that section by themselves. Otherwise, the place is great. Lots of books to choose from--though recently they've rearranged everything, making it much harder to find stuff without asking for help. The staff is very friendly, though, and the library does lots of different activities to draw people in. Great place.

Bill Maust: Love this location. Perfect for the family. My two children absolutely love going. Which has led to my daughter's passion for reading. The staff are also extremely friendly/personable. Needless to say they are also very knowledgable and helpful with a wide array of subjects.

Although the systems are identical, the librarians at the Western branch do those tasks for me, and they never seem to mind.

ImQuackers the Totally Quackers: My first visit to this location awestruck me.Tolkien, C. S Lewis, and A. A. Milne are represented on children's tables here. The stories include iconic scenes such as the window from Tolkien's Hobbit. There's a tower-dime painted for the kids. The sundial uses your own shadow. Check it out.
