Jairo Gonzalez: Me and my Buddy ate there a few days ago and we were waiting for our food, and noticed a cockroach coming out of the wall. This place is definitely infested with cockroaches, which is disgusting. I’ve been reading the reviews and I see a few people have the same response. I reported this restaurant to the USDA Food and Safety Inspection Services. As well as the South Bend Health Department.
Sassy Green: If you like roaches! This is the best place for it. I seen a roach crawl across the floor. I got up to confirm that it was indeed a roach! Let the waitress know that we didn't even want our food that hadn't yet made it to us. Paid for our drinks and got the hell up out of there! NEVER AGAIN!!!🤢

Both times they close before they say they are closed and they have it hours posted. Noone answers the phone regardless if its before closing. Tried then when they first opened and they were okayish but heard they got better so we wanted to try them out again. Businesses like these are really frustrating.

Admittedly, the location in the heart of downtown South Bend is great, but the food and ambiance does not merit the cost. South Bend, of course, has outstanding Mexican food, and for a more authentic — and much cheaper — experience, I'd recommend any place on Western Avenue.Parking: Free parking in a nearby garage. He told me about this spot so i called in a meal he told me about, once i got there i found out that i had ordered the wrong thing, the young lady at the front counter went to ask her manager what she should do since i had ordered the wrong meal and wanted to order something different. Well the young lady came back and said that her manager said that their policy is that if i order something i have to pay for it even if it’s the wrong thing. Well i walked out and went to the jerk chicken place around the corner for dinner and i will not be back here. Great job with loosing a potential customer and wasting a meal and receiving $0 for it. Ian Owen: I lived in South Bend for five years until recently, and I went to Cinco as much as I could. Never had a bad meal. The Thai food, the Mexican food, the margaritas are all delicious, and the service is typically excellent; I’m honored to say a few of them now feel like friends! Friends who bring me great Pad Thai! What more can you ask? You would have to be some kind of fool who tries to change their order super late and then leaves in a huff to not enjoy this place.

It's hard to find a really good Mexican restaurant, and this place is definitely a diamond in the rough. Brian Fruchey: Really pleased to have eaten here this weekend. Beef empanada was unlike anything I've ever had. The sandwiches are delicious and the chimichurri was yummy on them. We arrived early and were told the staff would bring our food to us. No frills and just great food.Vegetarian options: They had some all-veggie options.
Verónica M: When you are an Argentinian living thousand of miles away from home and you see a place call “Chimichurri” you think of steak. Their stake sandwich is not what I had in mind when I saw it. It doesn’t have much steak at all. It’s more like little pieces of beef mixed with onions and peppers. I was expecting something similar to a “lomito”. So that was disappointing. On the other hand, the beef empanadas were really, really good. A little smaller on their size, but amazing taste. Los “alfajores de maicena” were a nice touch. The chimichurri sauce super tasty.

Bobbi Craven: We drove by this place today for the 100th time but today, the wind blew just right! We could smell the food as we were driving to the farmers market and decided we'd come back by for lunch on our way home. This place did not disappoint!!! Definitely a new favorite of mine! My husband, daughter and I enjoyed lunch on their outdoor patio! 100% recommend.

Mariana Schnell: The most delicious empanadas, they have different flavors and all come with chimichurri sauce. They are small but filling , two or three per person. The sandwich seems to be very popular. The alfajores for dessert are some of the best I've had. Try them!

Ben: I only got empanadas when I stopped by, but they took only 5 minutes, and although they were more than I usually pay, they were great. They had an excellent crunch on the outside without being hard, and the flavor was vey rich.
