Awkward to say the least.It would have been an 1 star on service but on arriving front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Gym equipment was broke with no towels or water. Location is the best part of this hotel. Needs to be updated or remodeled. Needs new mattresses, fortunately I had my own pillow.

John DeCamp: By far the worst mattress we haveever slept on it was so bad the hotel put a topper on it but that didn't help it at all. Had to argue with the front desk about the shower drain backing up, by the time I was done in the shower I was standing in 1½ inches of water and the puddle was out infront of the sink. I will not be returning to that hotel again!

Tim Deane: This is my second stay at this location.The rooms were clean.The hotel is quiet.Last week I stayed in room 101. It's at the far end away from the interstate.This week I stayed in room 133, which was closest to the interstate. There was some noise from the interstate but nothing really loud.Safety: Inside, and outside, were all very safe.I chose to park in front of the hotel because of more foot traffic.The parking lots at the ends were used more by people driving uhaul trucks and construction trucks. These lots are also very well lit.

kenneth render: Nice inexpensive hotel and the room was nice and clean! Only draw backs was1) Don't advertise that your pool is open when it's not. Obviously they are to lazy to maintain the pool and it's landscaping and that's a problem for me. I like to book hotels with Jacuzzis or pools sorry that's just me. So if you want a pool then this will not be the place. The breakfast is decent just like any others.

Harold Austin: We moved the mattress and found an "adult store" bag with "toys" and lube. Suspicious ( possibly related) stains on the bedding and carpet. Our friends with a room upstairs said there were bed bugs and roaches on the second floor which was mid renovation

Edwin Rivera: Everytime we stay at a hotel in this town, this one is our go to! Regardless of price! Friendly staff, always. The overnighters are always extremely helpful if I have any concerns, questions, etc. The róoms are chique and modern and looks expensive for it being on average $100 a night, including deposit.Rooms: Always clean, modern style, chique. Love the breakfast/tabletop bar island in the middle that also acts as a divider between the bed space and the living room. Nice hot showers, clean to boot. Toilets and sinks are also clean along with the MVP, the king bed. Even with a blacklight, the sheets show zero stains. That's what I call an underrated hotel. Kudos to Econo Lodge on the east side past the shopping centers/mall!Food & drinks: Biscuits and gravy aren't half bad, just be sure to microwave them. There are two waffle makers and instructions are easy to follow, just be sure to spray PAM on both sides first before closing and flipping over the waffle inside the maker.. otherwise you'll be stuck scraping burnt, stuck on waffle for what seems like an eternity while your face glows beat red. Ha!Noteworthy details: It's setting is pretty far removed from civilization but only by about 1-2 miles. However, I remember a 24 hour gas station and also white castle right by the hotel for those checking in late. Very nice gas station, tóo. You'll likely need the ATM for the cash deposit if you want it back the next day instead of waiting for the multiple day ACH transaction to be canceled and returned back to your account. SAll in all, until they prop more businesses open, it's very quiet out there (no busy roads/intersections/few buildings/mostly empty plots of land. there are lots of grassy area and sidewalks to walk dogs and clean up pet messes as well.

Ashley Hook: I rented a room for my tenant ( I was having the floors redone in his apartment unit). The reservation booking number (800) was awful to deal and was mis leading. BUT let me say this. When I got to the hotel to check my resident in, the hotel was clean. His room was clean and he was happy. He loved the breakfast. The front desk clerk was very attentive. Once at the hotel the check in and check out was fast and easy.

Charity Rae: My guy and I had checked in late and were exhausted and tired. I used choice privilege points, upon arriving, I asked at check in if I could have a late check out night clerk said no problem. Upon arriving to our room it was very humid and hot that the a/c unit took several hours to cool the room down, became very uncomfortable. The shower fixture had black mold and this room in particular should not have been let out. Day desk clerk said we should have reported it when we arrived. I stated we were already tired and wanted privacy not to be bothered by staff. Upon check out I asked for my points to be reimbursed clerk said she wished she could. I said points should be credited to my account when the stay was not good and a late check out should be noted that the credit card will be charged for late check out.....bad business. I do not recommend this choice hotel chain.

Bed was pretty firm which was great for my back. I like firm but if you don't, this may not work for you. They also weren't stingy with pillows. Happy with my stay. Jason Stein: It’s a budget hotel, so understand the building and rooms have some miles on them. But they’re clean, comfortable, the pool is indoors and well kept, and the continental breakfast is decent. But most of all, the staff was very welcoming.At one point they had to close the pool during a thunderstorm, and my daughter was disappointed. But when the storm passed the gentleman reopened it and even called our room to let us know. Totally made her day. If we have to come back to Evansville next year, this will be where we stay.

Adrianna Berrones-Riggs: Rooms: Rooms seemed clean but we also found balls from some nurf toy under furniture around the room. The employees were super nice and helpful. Especially when a third party booking site messed up our reservation. Due the high volume of adolecent clientele there during our stay the pool was unbearable but the facilities seemed to be well taken care of and stocked appropriately with pool towels.
INDIANA JONES: Had a great experience at this, Drury. The location was close to everything. The service was great. Breakfast was good. Stayed here so the kids could swim over New Years. The room was clean. Abrya did a great job cleaning the room. Allison did a great job checking us in. Great customer service. I did see the General Manager helping in many positions throughout the night and breakfast the next day. I was impressed.

Elizabeth Jarman: DO NOT STAY HERE!! I’d give it 0 stars if I could. I checked into the room around 8 PM. I was out running around so I didn’t get into the room until almost 11. I showered & laid down. Not even 5 minutes later a BED BUG was crawling on my leg. I went down to the desk & the man was very rude. He stayed on his phone & I forced him to talk about the situation. I’m going back tomorrow to try & get a refund bc he said talk to management. Again, they have BED BUGS!!!

I felt very uncomfortable. I did what they wanted and left earlier than I planned. I drove to a parking lot to wait until it was time for me to be at my appointment. The Official King Shi: The rooms are amazing. And the front Desk Clerk MJ is the coolest and most helpful person EVER LOL.
Mr. Rude: These people are fried out of their minds with the prices of this place. I stayed here for 2 weeks. The entire building, let alone the rooms are not worth what they charge here per night. WoodSpring Suites right up the road has nicer staff, and comparable rooms for half the price. Only problem with WoodSprings is ending up on a high floor with their slow elevator that's always in use. Extended Stay America has a great cleaning crew but the staff are rude and the rooms are much more expensive than they're worth. The wifi is pretty bad as well. Save your money

Rikk Barrera: Simply put DIRTY!!!My stay originally was going to be for at least 1 month as a business trip.When I checked in the staff was fairly pleasant, then I went to my assigned room which simply put it reeked of cigarettes I immediately called the lobby to complain and the hostess came up and stated " all I can do is put some fabrize on it " to which I replied that'll only last 30 minutes. Then my coworker found German roaches in his. We immediately canceled the rest of the stay and booked the express holiday inn nearby for the rest of our stay.

Dylan: I’d give this place 4 stars if it wasn’t for all the smoking JESUS CHRIST. My nose and throat still burn hours later. The “non-smoking section” is a complete joke, it’s literally just signs designating the areas, do they think the smoke will read the signs and not travel around the whole room? Secondhand smoke increases the risk of heart attacks, heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and other cancers by up to 30% among nonsmoking adults.needless to say I will not be returning here unless they separate the sections with a solid wall, however a smoke free policy would be the most effective way to provide protection from exposure to secondhand smoke. Most likely never coming back here.

Dixie Shelton: We stayed March 31st departed April 2nd. Very disappointed. No fitted sheet was told they don't have fitted sheets only flat by the lady in the back office because the guy up front all he seemed to know was I don't know. We had no room service. We got 2 washcloths and 4 bath towels for 2 people for 2 nights. Called front desk multiple times never got an answer any time. We called after 10 p.m. several times n called again around 6 a.m. the next morning. No answer at anytime. I thought we would have a small refrigerator in the room. No to that as well. My husband was wanting to surprise me for my birthday. The surprise was on us. We spent $423.00 to be very disappointed. Would not recommend and will not be back. Casino was a joke. We tried to get help in the casino because this was our 1st time. They were rude did not help in any way. Got dismissed with a wave of a hand. Hotel n Casino staff needs a attitude adjustment. I work at a hotel. We would never get by with treating our guest the way my husband n I were treated. But Cavanaughs was wonderful. The staff could learn lessons from Cavanaughs. For $200 a night we thought there would be coffee and contintal breakfast. Even if u would have coffee n creamer would of been nice. That coffee in the room was not fit to drink. And even if it was there was not enough for 2 people. Could not get more because we could never get any assistance. Any time we needed something we had to go downstairs for assistance. As big as this hotel is, I really expected something different. The view is the only nice thing I can say. So the next time we want to get away we will go somewhere else and get better service better rate.
Bectar Braun: The security at this casino is a joke. I left my license and my bally card on one of the machines by accident. I left to go to atm down the street since their atm fee is so high. Once I noticed my license was gone. I drove back to the casino I was gone no longer than 15 mins. I went back to the machine and both were gone. I asked security to run cameras back and was told no because it wasn't a purse or cell phone. Someone can literally steal my identity now. I was due to check into the hotel by 6 pm and couldn't because they wouldn't locate the thief who stole my license.

Christie Griffitt: My best friend and I reunited after some pretty traumatic relationships.. We called and booked rooms for 2 nights. We did not anticipate the rain. When we arrived they had canceled our whole reservation and now it is sold out! The front desk was annoyed by us being here saying it will mess up their audit on their paperwork so she has to go back through and change the fact that we actually showed up. She would not even attempt to look or make the situation any better I even offered to pay for a suite. The room we have until 11:00 I believe that's 4 hours has no duvet on the beds or comforter the beds have no fitted sheets does not have any sort of mini fridge or a safe to put things in it is 1980s at best and the view is of the roof gravel. I'm thinking about jumping out!! We just wanted a nice girls weekend to get away. I would have felt better if she would have at least offered some meal tickets or looked at me and told me to go screw myself oh well as she said be out by 11:00 and we didn't get here until about 4:00 we did try but traveling from Tennessee in the rain took a little longer than we expected. My friend had bragged on this place and was excited to show me around her new hometown. It was heartbreaking to see her disappointment. I hate to go home today but it doesn't seem I have a choice.Noteworthy details: Hospitality was less than desirable room was hot because the air conditioner was off not sure if the carpet is clean or not doesn't appear to be no safe in the room for personals no mini fridge for a cold drink it does have a Bible though.

Abagail Badura: Bed bug infestationsI have bites on my face, arms and back.I woke up with a burning sensation on my arms, went to bathroom and saw my swollen right eye lid, forehead, and saw the swollen bites on arms and back.I took pictures and then checked bed and saw the bed bugs, took pictures of bugs as well. This was at 1a.m. I immediately got dressed went to check out, asked for a refund, got smirked at by Direk the hotel attendant who finally refunded my money.I left and my mini vacation was ruined 😡.I seriously recommend to not stay here!!!Horrible hotel staffNoisy elevator can hear in every room!Tried to get a hold of management regarding situation and no one available.

Jeff Vadney: reservation was made, and given a quote a different price was charged. Internet did not work. Nobody was on the premises. I could fix it young kid, running the front desk more interested in personal calls. Bathroom was dirty found blood in the shower and mold on the ceiling and walls. No hotel can be 100% perfect all the time that's not how life is but how they handle situations would set them apart. The management at this hotel had no desire to make it right and was very unprofessional. I would never stay there again, and would not recommend anybody else.

George Davis: Great experience. Was in Evansville for a night, and I was not expecting much from this place, given the rate. Room had been remodeled very recently and did not look like the pictures. It was very clean and fresh. Super friendly staff. Didn't try breakfast or mess with the WiFi, but the room was great, which mattered the most. Will be back!

The only small issues I had, but it seems to be commonplace for hotels is the breakfast was a bit subpar (especially for la quinta's) as I usually make my waffle and such, but the selection seemed even more limited here. (Yes, they still had a waffle maker)Also, the bathroom was a little tiny, but I'm 6ft1 and 260lbs.Otherwise, we had a first floor room, service was kind, polite, and courteous. The parking seemed fine as well.
