To me, that is not traditional sales, that is a partnership formed between the buyer and the product provider - it’s service.I’ve been in Evansville for more than 30 years. The first big purchase I made when I arrived here, was a Diamond ring for my wife. I purchased it from a small jeweler whose family had been in the business for generations. I struck up a friendship with the owner that has held. They were one of the 3 jewelers in contention for this purchase. Droste’s diamond shown brighter, and Droste’s sales professional did as well. I would think that Rachel Clark is just as invaluable to Droste’s, as she was to me.

HAYDEN rector: Getting ready for work this morning and noticed my clasp on my necklace I wear everyday was broken. This necklace means the world to me, I was devastated. I figured after work I would stop by this place I drive by everyday for the past two years and see if they would be able to assist. After one of the worst days I have had at work, I stopped by and was promptly greeted by a lovely man who immediately saw the issue and was able to replace my necklace clasp in minutes. On top of it all, he didn’t even charge me. I walked out in tears due to the compassion and amazing work this place does! I was having a terrible day and I don’t think this man realized how much his kind gesture truly meant to me today! Will recommend to everybody!

dan danks: First time going there about a year ago for some minor jewelry repair. Came out paying much less than I was quoted because they were able to fix rather than replace. They could have made more by replacing but were honest. I thanked the owner and he made a point to tell me how he appreciated my business. That honesty is what took me back to there business several times since. I am very wise, and a little conservative when spending hard earned money. I totally trust, and appreciate this jewelry store!

Christopher Kiessling: DO NOT SELL THEM YOUR SILVER OR GOLD !!! I had some stuff I had collected over the years and took it in to see if they bought silver and gold . I sold them some silver stuff and 1 object had jewels in it and was told they was not real and I agreed to price . Took my gold back next day and was offered $ 180.00 for it and I didn't feel that was fair so I it took to another gold buyer and walked out with $ 575.00 for the same stuff . ( I don't have a lot of knowledge this stuff ) I came home and looked up the stuff I sold them and one exact piece was $300.00 plus the other stuff they got with it and was given $140.00 for it all . My fault for not researching it . I also feel like I was taken advantage of do to not knowing more about it . I trusted them to be honest about it and they got me !!! Lucky for me I had forgot my gold that day !! TRUST IS NOT A ITEM WITH THEM .

She assisted us with an anniversary ring and assisted me with two SUPRISE pieces for my wife Lisa. One was a beautiful necklace with our daughter's name on it shortly after she passed away. Leda helped me with the design and my wife loved it. The most recent piece was an additional diamond band for her wedding ring and a surprise LARGER diamond center stone. Leda was instrumental in not only the design but also the execution of the SUPRISE. David did the work on her ring it it is so gorgeous. Joseph Steiner: If I could personally leave a zero star review I would. This place and its customer service is absolutely appalling. Please do yourself a favor and don’t ever take your time and money to this establishment. Brought a bracelet in for a repair on the clasp on December 17 and still have yet to receive it. Call the store? Try again they don’t answer. “It will be done on the 3rd” it’s the 25th.

Ryan Trimbath: I went in to get a watch battery replaced. There are 3, maybe 4 people "working" one person was helping a customer, one lady filing paperwork, one guy cleaning jewelry talking to what may have been another employee (?) And telling anyone who walked into the store how busy they were before turning back to the other employee to complain about how busy they are because they don't have staffing. I was not even acknowledged when I walked in. Stood there doe 30 minutes waiting for someone before I had to leave.
Kaila Beach: Buyers beware! Once you’ve bought your jewelry the customer service goes out the window! I’ve purchased all my jewelry from Kay totaling over $30K and they could not care less. I brought my wedding ring in to be repaired because the prongs holding my solitaire bent completely over and broke for the second time now. I paid up front for a custom platinum 6 prong setting to prevent this from happening for a third time and have now been there three times to pick it up, when I live an hour away. All three times my ring has came back completely wrong and they tried to charge me to have it fixed correctly. I’ve spoken to the manager Vicky about this and all she does is either blame the other employees or deny anything she can. I personally work in dentistry and if we treated our loyal customers like this we would be sued. Needless to say I will never purchase anything from Kay’s or Jared’s again!

Kregg Woosley: We've shopped at Kay Jewelers for 25 yrs. Used to be a great place. That has now changed. At separate times, my wife and I purchased anniversary presents for each other. Both of us were deceived about our purchases and warranty cost. While no "lies" were told, we both felt like we were dealt with in a very rude deceptive way. I completely understand commission sales, but no customers (repeat customers) no commissions at all. Honest salespeople will always have a job. Dishonest ones are always looking for one.
Olivia Payne: I have had to get my ring resized a total of four times now because they can't figure out how to correctly size my finger and make the ring the appropriate size. The first time I got it resized, it came back a size bigger! The last time my ring had to resized because it broke spontaneously (bad product), they resized it incorrectly AGAIN! I don't think the sales associates have a clue what they are doing. I've only been engaged six months, and I have been without my ring more than I have had it. I would not recommend them to any friends or family. Does anyone know of another Kay Jewelers store in this area?

Brandi Justus: Everyone is always super super nice!! I have never bought really expensive jewelry with them (they have some I love though!) But I am a little disappointed because my aunt who was like my mom passed away Jan 1, 2021 and I saved up for a chain for her cross she wore every day bought a gold one end of 2021 and about a month ago I was just sitting at my desk and it broke, but didn't know it till I got home and bent over and the chain fell on floor...no cross!!! I was devastated thought I lost the cross went to work next day and it was under my desk!! Whew! So I went to Drostes a little over a month ago and they said they could sauder it but there is a chance it could break again I said no I don't want that chance and losing the cross for good. So this time I bought a white gold one because I like silver/white gold and she liked gold so i would have both our personalities together! right at about a month of having chain I went to take necklace off so I could tan and the clasp broke!! I was like are you serious so I took it to a local jeweler up close to where I live, and it's going to cost me 45 to fix it, and I bought I sterling silver chain that was 30 to hold me over while the white gold one is being fixed. So I'm bummed that in a year and a few months I have spent close to 400 in real chains and they have broken!!! And the money to dix this one! 😕 When several years ago when Wal-Mart sold chains I bought a sterling silver chain for 25 bucks and never took it off swam in it, tanned in it, I did everything in it and it lasted for years until my little nephew pulled on it and broke it a cpl years ago, but the good expensive chains don't last! So I still will shop at Drostes but don't know if I'll ever buy a chain again from them again I seem to have bad luck with them.
