JENNIFER CLEMONS: We needed new shoes for my elderly husband. We have paid upwards of $300.00 for otherodics and he was still not walking correctly. Riecken's measured his foot, found out his old shoes were 1.5 sizes to large and his shoes offered no support. We got new shoes, and inserts and he is walking better, plus since he shuffles his feet got a sole better suited for him. He is thrilled. I showed the lady my foot. Evidently I have a bunion causing my big toe to lay over the next toe. So I got a sock like thing that protects the bunion and keeps my toes separated. Now I am happy also. The service was excellent. Not all that much more expensive than any good pair of shoes.

I went to Rieckens and they introduced me to the same size shoe but one made for walking and less rigid. This made all the difference in the world and my toes are not squished together. It turns out the walking shoe is less rigid and more flexible. I love this place!

We offer free ahipping if order is over $50 and only 3 - 7 days to get it delivered to your door. I have never worked for a store manager who works harder to keep our customers happy, but there are some things out of our control, like N1%3, they made the changes to on line only, and some brands do not make 1/2 sizes, others dont come in wide, but if you ask we will do what we can to get what you want. It really is a happy place to work as well as shop.

My brother and I walked in to shop around and I also had my 4 month old daughter with me as well, and one of the employees said something but didn’t think she was talking to us considering she was across the store so we kept walking. Then she shouted again at my brother saying “no shopping bags were allowed in the store” and said he needed to bring them to her. He was confused and she took them and sat them behind the counter saying he could have them back when we leave, but she didn’t take anyone else’s bags. I went up to the counter and asked why she took them and said “no store in the mall allows you to have shopping bags in their store so if you have a problem you should take them out to your car”. As I walked off she continued to say rude things about us too. With that being said we were irritated with how rude she was and decided to leave. My brother went up front and said he wanted his bag and the employee THREW it at him, threatened to call security and cussed us out and called me an “ass” all in front of my child. I will NEVER return to your store. And the manager will definitely be hearing from me as well.

CHARLESofPUNK! (PUNKofWAR1): This place is great. They sell a wide variety at a great price. Their workers are awesome, helpful, and friendly! One worker went above and beyond to help me and sadly got a complaint on her for doing so. I was buying shoes for my daughter and she had similar sized feet, I was wondering how they would fit. I asked her if she could try them on to help me see how they would fit. It was a awkward thing to ask but she was very professional! Sadly when I returned to the store I overheard she got a complaint for helping me out in a bind. I appreciate that this worker went above and beyond for me and I'm sorry that she had a Karen complain about her! I definitely recommend Shoe Department! I will be a returning customer for sure!
