Best Bed & Breakfast Fort Wayne Near Me

Drew Ferrier: It was okay. Not worth the price. Notice the good reviews are from 6+ years ago. I stayed in the Lawton suite.Just a few things to know before you stay: they don't serve breakfast, but sometimes they will leave snacks in the lobby, but it's usually empty. Bring your own refillable water bottle because the fridge is always empty, but they do have filtered tap water in the lobby. There's a mini fridge in the closet. There's a coffee machine in the lobby. The bathroom jacuzzi tub was nice.If I ever visit Fort Wayne again, I'd go to a cheaper place and get my money's worth.

Lila Watch: My husband and I were visiting Fort Wayne and thought this place looked great online, should have read the newer reviews and not the just the old higher rated reviews. Point is, this place is not ideal for anyone, unless you like staying in an unsafe area of the city and sleeping on a king size mattress that's really twin beds put together, not comfy at all. The bed gave us sore necks and backs, so ancient and springy. Plus, we weren't emailed at first about the house having a smart home system, we were given NO codes and were locked out on first arriving. We tried calling their phone number they advertise and left three voicemails explaining our situation. It wasn't until past midnight that my husband and I had found a hotel (where we should have stayed) that we got an email from them telling us the code to inside the inn and to our bedroom. Our bedroom was upstairs, a very old, steep, narrow stairs meant for thin people (I worry about anyone bigger being able to use these stairs). And our room looked and felt old, huge cracks in the wall, carpet that is dirty and smells like urine, a bright neon Exit sign that we had to cover up at night so we could sleep, and cobwebs hanging around. Someone hadn't cleaned this place in a while and we loved hearing police sirens in the middle of the night. And, they claimed to offer free breakfast but we were given no breakfast, our first morning we went downstairs and found two Nutrigrain bars and then the next morning nothing at ALL! I just figure if you're going to advertise breakfast and have a sign downstairs that says you offer breakfast please actually offer it. I guess we should have known better than to stay in Fort Wayne or at least a place that isn't some franchised hotel, I can't believe we spent so much money on so little. The only nice thing about this place was the bathroom, it had a nice enough jacuzzi for my husband and I. I do NOT recommend this place though! I didn't feel safe and we never met or spoke to the owner or the manager mainly because they were never there and they didn't answer our calls.TLDR: Stayed in a run down inn in the ghetto with poor service. Would NOT recommend for anyone visiting Fort Wayne!!!!!!! Go somewhere cheaper and get better service!!!!!!

Arra Lee: Both owner and manager were rude. Owner had sent us an email before our stay and told us if we needed anything to reach out… Which was nice. But, when we emailed him with a simple question about bottled water his response came across as rude pretty much telling us we can walk two blocks to a gas station to get a drink. We stayed on July 4th and sat in front of the house to watch fireworks. We moved a bench from one part of the yard to another so we could actually see the show (we moved it back when the show was over)… Well, a lady starts walking through the gate saying something to the person she was with about us stealing her bench and was cursing about some of the other guests parking the wrong way in the parking lot. That lady happened to be the manager. When we realize that, we asked her about the bottled water (because we hadn’t gotten a response yet) and she told us that they couldn’t ever keep them because guest steal them…? We were so confused by that comment. She kept going on about how they can’t keep anything in the house because the guests steal everything and the owner kept having to go to the store all of the time to keep stock blah blah blah… She was very unprofessional. The room looked cute but the comforter was dirty… don’t know if it hadn’t been changed or if it was just stained… Either way. You could tell the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Also, we were woken at 1:30 in the morning by people yelling downstairs. Apparently, the cops were there and one of the other guests was “resisting” arrest. Anyways, we were so excited about staying at the LaSalle but we ended up being very disappointed.

Jennifer Whicker: We stayed in the Lincoln Room in the Sion Bass House for my Beau's 65th bday. He is handicapped so was vere pleased about the Lincoln Room being ADA accessible to where we could park directly in front of the ramp leading to our room. The room was nice but it seemed it wasn't entirely cleaned upon our arrival. There was trash bagged up inside of the room and only one set of towels. A few snacks were available in the lobby and there was also a Kureg, however they had no cream available and only a few packs of sugar. I have no idea if they served breakfast. I've stayed in a lot of B&B's which have all made it very clear when, where, what and how breakfast would be served. There was no mention about breakfast here, neither online, through emails nor in house so I have absolutely no idea if they even offer breakfast so we just left and ate breakfast somewhere else. The last mention of breakfast I could find was from a guest post back in 2016. Will probably not be staying here again.

Alexis Busselberg: Absolutely lovely place to stay. We stayed in the Sion Bass suite because I really wanted the jacuzzi tub and it was PERFECT. The location, amenities (THE TUB ), and price cannot be beat. Mike left very clear instructions about how to park and access the house and our suite, I never even needed to message him for anything. We will definitely stay here every time we want to stay downtown as long as it's available. I highly recommend the LaSalle Guest House!!

Deborah Angstrom: My boyfriend and I reserved the McCulloch suite for 1 night this past weekend.First issue is that the owners feel they can just walk in unannounced to "give us hand towels". I was getting dressed and they were invading our privacy.Second issue, we come back later in the evening to use the jacuzzi tub. This stagnant water and dirty bubbles were forming on the water and we hadn't put anything in there.Third issue, this room is sketchy. There's a sitting room, a bedroom, and a bathroom.. the door to enter the suite has a window above the door but it has a curtain. Then there's a back door emergency exit just to the side of the foot of the bed. There's a window above that door too but no curtain, and facing the bed. Well we decided to deal with it and we were just about asleep and someone was at the emergency exit door trying to break in. This was around 1am ish. We get up and my boyfriend checks the place and he went through the back door which leads to a stairwell. He goes down and the door is UNLOCKED!!!! We could have been robbed and/or in serious danger! Plus! I wonder how many peeping -toms enter and take pictures from the window above the door! We tried calling the inn-keeper twice and it went straight to voicemail. We packed up our things and left before 1:30am. Would not recommend this place if you're concerned for your safety and dignit

Ronald Beougher: The signage could never not be seen from the street. The parking was in back, entrance in front. The landscaping was weedy. We never saw a caretaker or manager. The water closet was in a separate room from the wash basin. The tub walls were too high to step over. The wash basin had no counter space. The water never got hot, so the shower was cold. Breakfast was a few prepackaged rolls and biscuits and water or coffee to drink. Nothing more hot or cold. We bought breakfast after we left. The furnishings, except for the closet under construction, were Interesting and attractive. I couldn't recommend it if it were free.

Jacob Marsh: A beautiful boutique hotel, with very friendly staff and trendy rooms. Everything is very clean, new and inviting. The little details really tie everything together, and it really makes your stay feel special. I was here for a week and was always happy to come back to the hotel at the end of the day. The Cafe is also top notch, serving a very nice cappuccino with a great area to sit, if you do not want to walk just around the corner to a walking street with other cafes and top notch restaurants.Would highly recommend The Bradley to anyone going to Fort Wayne, and will be staying here again if I return.

Bob: Likely will not stay at this location again simply because of the rudeness and unprofessionalism of two front desk associates I worked with tonight. Both associates rudely argued with me over the purpose of needing a receipt for my overpriced (2) $4 water bottles. I paid with a company credit card and obviously needed a receipt. Because I didn’t ask for a receipt before I paid (most businesses ask the customer if they’d like a receipt, not the other way around ), I was told it’s physically impossible to provide. Then, both associates TOLD ME I didn’t need a receipt for the business expense. I DIDN’T REALIZE THEY PERSONALLY APPROVE MY EXPENSE REPORTS?? When I told the associates every expense on my business card needs a receipt, they laughed and said “well don’t yo company know you here? You’re shoulda asked to begin with.” Clearly, the associates here do not understand simple aspects of business travel, even though the hotel markets itself to business and convention travelers. I stay in For Wayne for work often and will be going back to the Hilton next time, where I’ve always received great service.

Phyllis Kopp: When I called to reserve a room for a conference in that area in July, (as this is the conference hotel), I asked for a handicap accessible room. I was told I couldn't have one. I tried calling a couple of days later and once again was told I couldn't have a handicap accessible room. This time I was told that I could get one outside of the group's contracted block of rooms, but I would have to pay more. I had to call the corporate offices for Marriott to get a handicap accessible room in our contracted block of rooms.

Ryan Davidson: One of the worst experiences at a marriott property ever. Check in was very abrupt and not very pleasant at all. Room smelled like marijuana at entryway so that was pleasant with 2 young children. Decided to eat on property at conners. Went right at opening at 5pm and im assuming an employee (since she knew everyone working and hugging them etc) was extremely loud and obviously drunk. Was yelling some very inappropriate comments about anatomy parts. Back to room and smell again and noticed there was no sheets pillows etc for pull out sofa. Called front desk...no answer for hours? I mean come on. Sent message via app at 730pm response came at 7am the next day. WHAT? Thats service right there. Since status i asked for a late check out via app at 3pm. Went to room at 3pm all our stuff was bagged up and kicked out. When i asked at front desk they said sorry gold is noon. No im gold for life and currently platinum not that anyone ever asked. Wont be back thats for sure. Congrats on losing a customer. Marriott and i go way back and thats no way to treat people.

Dawn H: This place is terrible! The entire trip was a fiasco. The keys they gave me did not work, got new keys then finding my room was occupied. Then got a new room, but it wasn't registered as being vacant. So, I had people banging on the door that evening and the next morning asking why I was there! I explained what happened and went to the front desk. In the meantime, the toilet was running for hours so I fixed that myself. After speaking to the manager to get this rectified, I checked out the next morning. I then discover on my bill I was charged $250 for a smoking bill. I have never smoked! Now I have to wait 3-5 days for this to be resolved. Absolutely ridiculous, and poor quality for a Marriott Property. I will not be staying there again.

Lindsey: My family stayed at the Marriott Courtyard for an event at the Convention Center. While we were gone, our room was broken into and we had many valuable things stolen. We were beyond disappointed with the lack of concern on the part of the hotel. There was no urgency to figure out what happened and they were not proactive in any way. When we provided evidence and asked questions as well as requested action, they were dismissive. It took 2 days and numerous emails to even receive a call from the general manager. We were told that our card entered the room at a certain time in which we were not at the hotel. They are satisfied with that being their response. It is alarming that the only answer is that our card was copied, most likely internally during check in because we had ours on our bodies at all times. The hotel is dismissive but this is absolutely a public safety concern. The ramifications of card copying and entering hotel rooms are really endless. We have filed a police report.

Phil: CHILDREN!!! NOT SAFE!!!Do not stay here as it is not safe!We went to a gymnastics competition from 5pm-9pm across the street. At 6:20pm our room was broken into using a duplicate card matching the card issued to us when checking in. Management dismissive. Laptop, Apple Watch and AirPods were pinging 1.4 miles away. Police report made. Still nothing from Marriott. Informed management of the pinging location. 2 minutes later, pinging stopped. This is not safe for anyone traveling alone, with children or with anything of value. Courtyard by Marriott Fort Wayne refused to pass the lobby camera footage to the police until I told the police that there were cameras.

cynthia landrum: First, let me start by saying that Drew was welcoming and professional, a great first impression of the hotel! Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not pleasant. Our room was not at all clean and we quickly decided to leave the hotel. We've stayed in many Hilton hotels and this was our first negative experience. We will no longer be patronizing Hilton.

Nick Forte: While I really wanted to love this hotel based on the other reviews, I am not sure how they even stayed at the same hotel. I'll start off by saying, I would love to invite the Hilton Executive Leadership team here to stay in our room, and then hear their feedback following their stay...All I can say is, our room did not live up to the Hilton name, and I will leave feeling disappointed to have stayed at this property... and feeling beyond gross and ready for a shower!While the room was dated and showed signs of high use, that cannot excuse the fact that this room wouldn't pass any standard of cleaning at any property, unless you were staying in a Red Light district. Mold on the shower tiles, curtain, and bathtub. Mildew smell. Hair and crumbs throughout the bathroom, especially in the corners. Old wrappers and crumbs all over the room floor. It was clear, no effort to clean occurred. Mirrors were filthy. The kind of cleaning that you feel like they used the same rag to clean 20 rooms with, and just brushed the hair of the sheets from the last occupants... at least that's what you start thinking when you see this kind of dirty...It was the sort of room that if you touch anything, you feel dirty. You cringe when you shower and accidentally touch the curtain or wall. Feel like you need to wash your feet if you accidentally step on the carpet. The office chair had food matted in it. The sheets barely fit the mattress. Dust all over the surfaces if you moved anything.The staff was nice checking in, although I had to wait a good few minutes before being greeted. As far as I could tell, this property really only had its location going for it as I was at the convention center... but that shouldn't be the only reason to charge Hilton Rates, but not deliver Hilton Standards.If you're reading this Hilton Leadership - come give a stay - I'm curious if this would live up to your expectations. Then they wanted to charge me $15 to park in the garage when that is the only place there are handicap parking. Giving me odd looks and just speaking rudly to me. None of the outlets in my room would work either. If I had paid for this and not my company I would have been very disapointed.

Miccah Baker: I would absolutely NOT spend your money here! I paid $200 for a king suite, there was food and hair on the sheets in the room, the pool is absolutely disgusting there was leaves in the pool, the pool is so tiny you can't swim when there is 10 kids in the pool, kids were loud all night throwing ice at our door, the breakfast is GROSS so plain and not much to choose from, we are going across the street to IHOP for breakfast and that's sad! Very disappointed I paid so much for my husband and I just to get a night away the motel 8 would have been way better than this place.

Linsey: Stayed here for 4 days and at first it seemed really nice place to stay but as the days went by things started showing up, like the shower curtain super loose which allowed water to leave the shower/tub made A very wet floor, then the toilet paper holder broke 5 times to we’re I had to fix it and to toilet paper kept falling off onto the floor lol 😝 then the next pain in the butt was turning the bathroom light on it was a button on the mirror far away from the door, not a good location at all. In the bedroom area itself the light fixture next to the bed was kinda falling down. I can say the bed was super cozy and the pillows were nice to sleep 😴 on as well. The room had a nice size refrigerator, and a microwave that didn’t burn your food. The hotel offers lots of amenities in regards to breakfast daily bar/restaurant in the evening and snacks and drinks and amenities in regards to bathroom needs for purchase. They do have a pool, but it was closed. All in all this place is decent for the value. I would stay again just hope they can get the few things fixed in the meantime.

Blake Swiatkowski: Stayed here for one night. Room and fitness center felt very clean. While I didn't have time for the pool, it also looked very well taken care of and clean as I walked by. I was hoping the bar would be open, but I didn't ask about it, so I'm not sure how their bar works. And the little outside courthouse area is adorable! Very nice stay!

R.M. S.: I had a nice stay. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The hot tub and pool were nice. I can't comment about the price because someone else paid for it. We also missed breakfast so I can't comment on that.

Cami Jonelle: I love this hotel so much! Laidback but nice. Some of it is dated, but it gives it a certain charm. Great bar, always a good time!! The breakfast is basic but always tastes fresh and friendly smiles in the lobby and serving us. I wish the Jacuzzi was open, but it isn’t a deal breaker.I especially enjoy the Jacuzzi tub rooms. Such a relaxing experience. Sometimes the noise is a bit much, but the super comfy bed’s definitely balance it out.Thank you for your great service and hospitality.

Steve Brogan: Okay so here are the facts - this place is cheap and you should have expectations around that.The rooms are old and worn but generally clean enough. It looks like some improvements have been made but in a kinda diy way.I would say most of the people staying there were construction workers and there wasn't any problem with partying. The owners seem nice enough.The walls are thin and I could hear a guy snoring all night long. The bathroom door hits the toilet. The furniture and bedding don't match. It's that kinda place.Bottom line - it's cheap and serviceable, but a sloppy presentation.

Daisy Ditz: The Fort Wayne Inn is about my favorite place to stay in Fort Wayne. The staff is friendly, especially the lady working the front desk. The rooms are nice and spacious. They have a table and chair so it's easier to do makeup. Plus they have a mini-fridge in the rooms!!! Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect, but it reminds me of home. The location is amazing! So many fun things to do around, but having a car to get around is helpful. Bonus, there's some nice girls next door so tip them well! The price lured me in and the acceptably clean rooms made me happy. My partner and I definitely plan on using the Fort Wayne Inn whenever we need a place to stay in Fort Wayne!
