Rupal Sarver: I was fortunate enough to have fate point me in the right direction and was able to have a new home built by Heller Homes. I wasn't sure what to expect and I was afraid they would be pretentious or not trust worthy because I had heard some bad horror stories from friends and people who I have met through the years who built homes from other companies or contractors and I was well aware of all the issues and headaches that can happen when building a new home. I had not known of anyone who had experience building with Heller but when I met up with Riley (who is a rep for Heller) to go over preliminary plans and the basics, I knew this was a good company. Riley was very informative, not pushy and very helpful when it came time for me to make decisions. My gut was correct to stick with Heller and from start to finish everyone was so professional and accommodating not to mention very timely. I honestly can not think of a negative thing to say about Heller Homes or any of the employees who were part of the building process. Heller is very up front and down to earth. My supervisor Eric was wonderful and updated me on a weekly basis to let me know what was going to be happening and accomplished. I've been in my new home for 4+ months and my family and I are so happy we chose Heller Homes! Good quality, good value, they stand by what they build and should be proud of it! The finished work is beautiful and I have absolutely no regrets. They also offer a 1 year warranty to stand by their work. This is a very nice down to earth Midwestern family owned company and they will take care of your needs. Affordable and beautiful homes is what I think of when it comes to this company. Colten Jones: My wife and I built a house with Heller Homes that was completed in December 2021. During the whole construction process we did not have nearly as many problems as some of our neighbors who built with a different builder. The only major issue that we had during construction was a month delay in the windows, which was out of Heller Homes control. Any time we had minor issues throughout construction and all the issues were taken care of in a timely manor. Since the house was finished and we have moved in they have quickly taken care of any warranty issues that we have had but nothing major. Heller Homes pricing was very competitive with other builders. I would build another house with Heller Homes.

Anonymous Anonymous: People that left bad reviews I pray for them. Our experience with heller homes was phenomenal. Every house you build has some bumps in the roads. That’s all I’ll say about that. Nobody is perfect people make mistakes and imperfections…but heller fixes EVERYTHING! Maybe not right away you have to keep in mind that it’s a local loving family trying to make a living and have thousands of clients they are also trying to help. But overall we are super pleased with our house and the professionalism and love it took from everyone to make this house for us! If anything goes wrong it’s under warranty for ten years people!!!! You buy a house right now you aren’t getting that kind of help or coverage. These people are good people and want to help people make owning their house not only a dream… but a reality. Nic Hostetler: My wife and I built with Heller Homes and while the build process was a bit stressful, as with any builder, Christain did an amazing job at responding to my emails almost immediately any time I had a question throughout the build process. From the beginning, Harrison was absolutely amazing. He stepped us through the entire design process and allowed us to make quite a few modifications to the floor plan that we chose without any issue. At the end of the build process, we worked with Kyra and TJ and they were also both incredible to work with and provided a great experience to help with any issues we incurred after the build was completed. Heller builds a quality home (much better than other builders in the Fort Wayne area) and provides great customer service throughout the process. We love our new house!Service:Custom home design

Eric Ramer: Let me start by saying Heller did build us a beautiful home! Everything was great at the beginning and we had some issues here and there but they always seemed to take care of them. Some unexpected things happened during our build that Heller couldn't control so I can't fault them for that. I'm giving them the most honest review I can. It was not quite 5 stars because there was alot of unnecessary stress during the build that should have been handled better. That being said Harrison had to take over my build the week before closing and I did not think we would finish on time. He moved mountains and was a man of his word and got it done on time. I personally wouldn't build with Heller again but I WOULD recommend them over builders like Lancia, GR and DR Horton. They do build great homes we are very happy with ours. Amanda Schieber: I did a custom build with Heller. They were friendly & helpful throughout the build process, but had issues literally from day 1 of moving in. Been in our “new” home for 5 years & we have had to replace 2 toilets, fireplace does not work (actually leaks gas!), mantle is loose & looks as if it could fall off the wall any day. I have cracks in my walls & Ceilings that appeared within 1 year (to which they said was just cosmetic from the house “settling”). My sump pump has failed TWICE - causing our basement to flood. Carpet is not secure through the house - bubbling & pulling away from walls, stairs, & corners.My backyard floods horribly. I’ve asked numerous times for them to address it - they say it’s not their responsibility.One of the delivery man during the building process crashed in the garage door & they actually accused me of it! Refused to pay it until I provided photos that showed the damaged occurred before we moved in.I could continue to list complaints - but only thing I will say is I’ve never left a Google review for a company before. Jolynn Simson: We signed at a time where the cost of building materials were skyrocketing. We had to move fast and I was so impressed with how quick harrison was to know answers, pricing and options during the initial phase. There were issues that popped up during the build which is going to happen and looking back I feel Harrison was very fair and actually really did his best to resolve and take all my concerns seriously. One of the things I was super impressed with was Harrison just remembering my house, our conversations, specifics, etc. he always wanted to document in writing just in case but honestly his memory is phenomenal. I just really appreciated feeling like he KNEW my build and I didn’t have to repeat why I wanted something or conversations we had. It saved so much time and made me feel like things were being taken care of appropriately.After the build, the handy man TJ was even more amazing. Super friendly and super quick to fix things. Honestly super impressed.Kyra was the one handling any coordination of repairs. I think one of the things I appreciate most is any issue I came across she took super seriously. It was so reassuring knowing if something wasn’t done right it was gonna be fixed. Her handling of my house after we moved in these last 6 months is really …patient and comforting is the right words. I feel in good hands.The only negative I really have to say looking back is with the painting company who did not follow directions and honestly lazy in my opinion. Heller homes did attempt several times to communicate my wishes but some of the painters just didn’t take the work seriously in my opinion. I think it’s hard to hold that against heller when it is so hard to find quality workers in todays economy.Overall heller did a great job from start to finish giving us a dream home, fixing problems as they came up and just made me feel like my opinions mattered and I wasn’t just 1 of 50.I should also state that we started with a different large well known builder and after they were so rude to us …heller homes was a breath of fresh air and looking back can’t even imagine going through this process with someone other than them.Services:Custom home design,Project management

Josiah Eley: My wife and I choose to build with Heller Homes after our initial meeting with Harrison and don’t regret it one bit. Greg was our property manager and was beyond helpful and understanding even after we changed our mind on finishes a few times. Our favorite part was getting the email every Monday Which covered the current work and outlined the expectations for the coming weeks. A few months into the building process my job situation changed and we were not going to be able to complete the build and close on it after all. We were bummed but both Harrison and Greg were helpful and encouraging through the whole process. We will 100% build with Heller in the future if we have the chance. If you’re not considering Heller as your home builder, you are missing out! They are our favorite builder in this area with top notch quality and exceptional customer service!

Dagmar Rooks: Build home with Heller.Poor Craftsmanship, several homes in addition could not be sold because of foundation issues. Also, outside brickwork not professional installation and which caused 2 other homes to have damage inside with the drywall. Outside concrete poor work, too. Difficult to work with in order to get things fixed. Drafts through windows. Baseboards cheap; already need to be replaced after 6 years. (We don’t have any kids). They did complete work on time; however.

Amy Curtis: This is the 3rd home we have built but 1st with Heller Homes. Harrison was easy to work with and really listened to our needs and wants. He knew which floor plan was the best option for what we were describing and redesigned some of the spaces to best fit our family. Greg was an amazing project manager, easy to get a hold of, and extremely patient with me changing my mind or asking questions. Communication and honesty was a big reason we went with Heller and they did not disappoint. They were up front and honest about everything including when I was going over the budget. They let us know of any bumps along the way and they let us be part of the solution. Heller stuck to their time line they gave us on day one (even in this supply chain market). They also were very transparent with cost. We always knew where we stood and how much things were. We just completed our 30 day list and again very professional and fixed all the items we requested. All of their subcontractors (drywall, flooring, etc) were professional and easy to talk to. My favorite communication piece Heller Homes does is a Monday email with what is being done on our home each week. It was exciting to know and the best way to keep lines of communication open!

Kara Wunderlin: We bought one of Heller homes spec homes a few months ago. The home was dry walled when we bought it and we met with Harrison right away to go over the details of the home. Harrison was great to work with and flexible with the changes I wanted to make. He gave us free reign on deciding some of the finishes that weren’t set and lighting. He was very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. We love our home and feel that it is well built and great quality. Their customer service team has been very receptive to any small concerns that have come up and have fixed little issues right away. Riley was great at first, my husband and I left our first meeting feeling good about wanting to build. Then we met with other builders and still thought we liked heller as the 1 or 2 spot. Riley set us up to look at one of their homes that was near completion and after viewing the home, we emailed him again to set up another appointment and we were just ghosted. No response after two emails and that was enough for my husband and I to choose the other builder., I cant attest to their build quality but if Riley is your manager i would ask for the other brother to manage your home.

If we decide to build in the future there is a 1,000% certainty that we will build with Heller Homes.
