Conner's Kitchen + Bar: what do users think?
Michael Johnson: Sat for 45 minutes at our table and was never greeted, while watching 3 tables that arrived after us all get served food. We were never once acknowledged so we walked out. Called them after to let them know we left and was told a manager would email us. No email to speak of. Had plans to buy drinks, lunch, and even an appetizer... we were really excited to spend our money but were not able to.
Andrew Fultz: An overly pleasant experience with top notch staff.
Tesla_the_Robot: Food was great and the waitress Jenny was really nice and attentive!! Great experience
Kyle Warner: Had the deviled eggs, nachos and enchiladas. Everything was phenomenal. Great atmosphere and service, too.
Jason Rhee (SmokysBack1): Well, it's always nice to see when employers just dangle a bonus for a high rated review. See anyone with a waiter name called specifically they are just trying to get a higher rating.
Scott Amstutz: Went to March Madness party there and they could only watch one channel on all TVs. Problems
DS Wattley: There wasn’t a host at the host stand when we arrived. So we waited until the bartender finally came around and sat us. Then waited for our server. It was extremely busy and only two servers looked like and a bartender. Food took forever to come out and the drinks took over 20 mins… very understaffed and chaotic experience.
Tracey Abate: Jenny was an amazing server with great recommendations!! It was our first time and we loved the pulled pork nachos!! Excited to try rooftop next :)
Kathy Salinas: Delicious breakfast and Jenny was fantastic!
Tyler palovcik: The steak was sad. The only thing good I can say about it is that you will have a story to tell. The most money you ever spent on the cheapest cut of beef. Seriously, I've seen better steaks at Walmart. The atmosphere and service were good though. I'll probably give it another shot based on that alone. Just skip the steak.
Skinky Turtle: I ordered the Mac and cheese and it was very good if you don’t mind a lot of cheese! Jenny, who is our server, was so nice and even answered a few questions about the bacon! (The questions were good questions) I recommend coming here and highly recommend Jenny! Thank you!
Molly: Great food, service and ambiance!
Dave Zamora: Food expensive but tasty. Pulled pork nachos were awesome, got the small order and it was enough for 4 people. My fried chicken was delicious although a bit greasy. Breakfast was fair but overpriced.
Rachel Brouwer: Delicious food, great drinks and excellent service!
Jessica Eschbach: Lillie, our server, was attentive and kind
Pamela Masters: Great food and service. Morgan was our waitress and she did a great job! She was so friendly and attentive!
Amya Thomas: Always good and fast service and foid is always amazing
Raul Garcia: Brie was amazing she got our food and drinks immediately and remembered everything for every one of us...we left and came back later and she still remembered all our drinks...she is top notch in my book
John Nnyanzi: Brie was sooooooooo great!!! She knows the drinks I want and I got soooo drunk! She also knew this weeks powerball and I won sooooo much! Conners should be so proud to have a server like her. She saved my cat from a tree! She is my hero!!!
mark barrera: Brie had a great attitude and she served us promptly!
Ziggy zig: Went to Connor’s, had the absolute time of my life thanks to Brie, loved every minute. Great service! Great food!

Kyle Radosevich: Had the cork and cleaver appetizer that was three different shrimp. It was good. The salad bar was decent and clean. I had the coffee encrusted ribeye medium rare. The steak was cooked great. It was good, just wouldn't do that again. The grittiness wasn't my taste. Oreo cheesecake was good too.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Coffee Crusted Ribeye …More
Jesse Sade: Cork 'N Cleaver is an excellent place to eat at. The only gripe I have is with the price of the salad bar. It is pretty pricy, but it is fairly understandable when you take into account everything they keep on it. It was very tasty, and I cannot complain about the freshness or quality of the salad bar either.Overall, this establishment is a 9.5/10 and I can 100% recommend it.
M E: We decided to check this place out today for our anniversary. We arrived at the restaurant and were basically informed it would be about a 45 min wait or we could have a seat at the bar. So we chose the bar. While waiting for the bartender to take our order, we noticed that seats were filling up quickly. After placing our order and waiting on the food to arrive, we observed the staff helping each other out. You don't see much of that these days it was refreshing to see. The food arrived and looked fantastic. The bartender she was a very sweet person and made sure to check on us, making sure our drinks were filled and made sure we were enjoying our meal. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Ryan Garner: Walleye or Salmon dinners are delish.... the staff were knowledgeable about the food. It's very clean and comfortable place for eating out. Especially their salad bar, its being attended by staff after every five people that go up there. Had a delicious coffee crusted Ribeye steak for my meal. Juicy steak. Then a dessert of marscapone lemon cake w berries was devine, a must try!!Parking: Overflow parking available too

Laura Edmonds: Kari was so kind and thoughtful when we were booking a large party reservation. I’m so thankful for her help! Once we got there we had a few minor hiccups with our food order. It was quickly corrected and it was absolutely delicious!! Great experience and great food!
Desmond Alston: This restaurant was amazing. It’s authentic. The staff their are very friendly. It can get very expensive, but I think the taste of the food is worth it.Parking: Parking is fair. But since it’s downtown Fort Wayne, sometimes parking can get busy.

Catherine Ortiz: My husband and I were not impressed. We had some high expectations and we were disappointed with the lack of class, seasoning, and sloppy plating. For the price we were expecting a lot more. Our waiter was friendly, but I think new and not very knowledgeable about the menu. We would have a hard time coming back.
Michele Carroll: Delicious brunch in a sleek modern atmosphere. Great friendly service. Recommend reservations for brunch.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ibrahim Awadallah: Very nice and cozy atmosphere. Servers were knowledgeable and welcoming. The lamb shank was very well cooked and delicious. We tried the lingua appetizer and guacamole they were really good as well.
Stephanie Honnold: The drinks were delicious and the Guava Glazed Salmon is a must try!
Chad Harnish: This place is amazing. If you want perfectly executed dishes with complex amazing layers of flavors at the molecular gastronomy level, this is the place. I had the duck braised in mole sauce with an amazing garnish. Ifbyou can't move beyond steak and potatoes flavor profile, stay home. If you can, this place is one of the top ten I've eaten at and I eat at many places like this.
Amber Toombs: I made reservations for a surprise birthday party in a private room at Baker Street Steakhouse. Through an unfortunate series of mistakes and miscommunications my reservation was cancelled.I was contacted by the owner of Baker Street Steakhouse, James who personally took time to speak with me. Not only did he speak with me, he heard me. I was not rushed and I feel he genuinely cared.I was treated as a person and not just another lost sales opportunity. He went above and beyond to fix all of the wrongs and then some. James arranged for my mothers party to be held at another one of his restaurants, Proximo. He personalized the menu which even said Happy Birthday Karen, he even gave complimentary chocolates and gift cards, and treated the entire party like his own family. Everyone left the restaurant with an amazing experience. The service was phenomenal. No one's glass was ever less than half full, the food was superb, quick, and friendly service was experienced all night. From this experience I have learned that when Baker Street says they want you to be treated like family, they truly mean it! This has opened my eyes and gives me hope that there are still decent people among us. A business that cares. In a world where customer service is failing Baker Street is rising to the top and proving themselves a top performer. The way Baker Street responded to this mistake was absolutely amazing and I can not say enough good things at this point. James and his staff created a fairy tale situation for my mother and I am forever grateful! The party was better than anything I could do and the attention to detail was unmatched.Thank you Baker Street and Proximo we'll see ya'll soon!
Karen Burnside: Have you ever been treated like Cinderella? Me neither until 2/18/2023. I had a surprise birthday party at Proximo Restaurant which is owned by Baker Street. I was told there had been a mix up with reservations prior to the dinner but owner James made everything 200% right.Never in my 70 years have I ever seen the generosity and care that the owner shown me. I wish I were a writer so I could put into words how I feel. I am so blessed to have a loving family, friends, and James who made my fairy tale come true.

Ashley Hudson: Corey does it again at Chance Bar!! We dined recently for Easter Brunch, and it was amazing! I had the ricotta dumplings with a duck sausage gravy....a dish I hope he keeps on his menu 🤞🏼🤞🏼Go check out Chance Bar, you won't be disappointed!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jared Kent: This place is a hidden gem! Atmosphere is great. The service is very easy going and friendly. But the real treat is the food! The paring of different sweets and salts and spices and herbs is truly on a level you will rarely find. One of the best plates of food I've enjoyed in my life!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joshua Raber: (02/26/2022) Update:I've now been to chance bar a total of 4 times in the last 6 months. Every time is just as delicious as the last. The food is always on point. The service is excellent. The environment is both elagent and in inviting. The passion that Chef Corey has for his restaurant can be tasted on each and every plate that he sends out of the kitchen. The oysters tonight were very fresh and exciting on the palate. The caesar salad was HUGE and the dressing was delightful. I loved the thinly sliced little potato chips that were used as a substitute for traditional bread croutons! The duck curry was very tender and cooked to perfection. It's broth had an incredible depth of oomami that made each bite as exciting as the last. The burger and onion rings never disappoint. They're as consistent as the first time I fell in love with them. If you still haven't tried out this amazing restaurant, I strongly encourage you to give them a CHANCE!Chance Bar was an awesome experience. I would say this restaurant best described as a diamond in the rough. Although it's location is not directly downtown, it's good and service rivals that of any restaurant located in the heart of the city. The beer bread appetizer with whipped honey butter got better with every bite. The soft pillowy center combined with the crunchy crust made for a fabulous starter. The entrés were HUGE! The double bacon cheeseburger featured as the chefs special came highly recommended by our waitress. I will say it was arguably one of the best burgers I've had in Fort Wayne. The quality and freshness of the Wood Farms ground beef made for a juicy and delicious burger. The entourage of sweet pickles, burger sauce, red onion, shredded lettuce, bacon, and cheese was a winning combination that made for an amazing bite. The korean bbq fried chicken sandwich can't be outdone. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The korean bbq was bursting with bold flavors and was accompanied by a fresh slaw. The onion rings were light and airy, super crispy, and not too greasy. The fried potatoes were cooked well and had just the right amount of seasoning. They both were complimented by a housemate garlic aioli. Our portions were so large we could barely finish our plates. I look forward to revisiting Chance to try their Sunday brunch as well as some of their dessert options. Thanks to the Chance Bar staff for an amazing dining experience.
Ana Rosales: Great place ❤️
Amanda Jump: this is lowkey one of the best restaurants in town!! super welcoming and chill vibe and the staff are so friendly and helpful (shoutout sam!!). you can tell they really care about the experience they give their diners. i strongly recommend the goat cheese brûlée and the donuts with banana jam 😎

Todd Bonecutter: Stopped in the other night without a reservation but was seated without any issue. We had heard a lot about this place and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We ordered the breaded mushrooms and the deviled eggs small plates to share with the table. Both items were delicious. At the table we ordered the salmon, the pork loin, the double smash burger special and the pasta. All were amazing. From the plate presentation to the taste buds….. delicious! Unfortunately nobody had room for dessert. The chef should be commended for his menu and talent. Thanks Chance Bar for a wonderful meal. Definitely worth the “Chance” if you get the opportunity!
Mandy Paden: Chance Bar is truly a one of a kind place. Not only is the food phenomenal, the atmosphere is unmatched. The staff always makes us feel like we’re eating dinner in the comfort of our own home, all while having an incredible meal. The chef Corey always comes out and personally talks to his guests about the food he’s prepared, which is always a nice touch to the meal. The food he creates there is gourmet, authentic, and unique. We have never had anything bad, and we enjoy trying all of the specials throughout the year. If you haven’t made your way to Chance Bar, do yourself a favor and go! You won’t be disappointed.

Kenan Alibegovic: I was pleasantly surprised with my first experience here. Overall, small restaurant, maybe 20-30 seats total (not counting a small bar area). Server was a delight and came to check on us often. We tried the rib tips (heavenly, with the cartilage attached) as an appie, and then each had the Gnocchi dish and mussels dish. I got a large amount of mussels for $28 served with a tasty red sauce and my sig other reported the Gnocchi sauce was a little on the spicier side. We got their bread pudding for dessert which was the only okay-ish item (it was sea salt and caramel, and tasted more bitter). Overall 9/10, highly recommend visiting at least once!Parking: Small lot for the restaurant, otherwise you'll have to look for street parking.
Jeff Starkey: We dined twice at Chance bar. Staff is friendly but food takes for ever to get. First experience waited about a hour after order entree and was told kitchen was backed up. Second visit, after an hour the Chef/owner came and told us that they were out of the hamburger specials we ordered and can we order something else, Thirty minutes later all entrees arrived.Food is ok but the ricotta gnocchi was very spicy, almost to much and the duck was way over cooked and was tough. After two separate times of waiting for so long probably won’t return. I am sure some do not mind the wait and you should try for yourself. Just not for us.

Robert Koehler: We had the Brunch and Salad bar. I want to say something nice but I literally can’t. The staff is kind of aloof. Never paying attention and always BSing with each other. That said, both bars were well stocked with food and they brought me two drinks to start. Now the food. It’s only $20 for the buffet and you’ll immediately know why. The Mac and cheese tasted more like Mayo than it did cheese. The meats tasted like they scraped the bottom of the supply chain. “Prime rib” was over cooked and tough. Food was overall bland. The only thing that was okay was the biscuits and gravy, but define nothing great. We also both left sick and didn’t finish anything in our plates. Bob Evan’s would have been a much better choice. I say them cause it’s right across the street. Friendlier staff and way better food. Again, this is specific to the buffet and salad bar.
J.J.: Had not been here for over a decade but decided to try again with a group. Buffalo dip was very good. My stuffed salmon was honestly dry and lacking in flavor and the mash potatoes matched. Was impressed with the salad bar but for what I paid $$$ I've had much better food.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Chip The guy: So hopefully you read this and save your money for something better. The place is dirty, carpet gross and coming apart. Food was overpriced and bland. I kept thinking Gordon Ramsey was going to stand up somewhere and say “everyone stop eating “ and start yelling and the staff. It’s sad because I heard it was good at one time, it’s evident that that day is long gone. $170 dollars for 4 people and Bob Evens across the street would have tasted better. The writing is on the wall and it will be replaced with something else. Feel bad being this honest but the truth sometimes hurts.
Tiana Maclin: The service was wonderful. Our waitress was the best part. The restaurant was dark and the floor was peeling and the seats were sunken in making the meal uncomfortable to sit at. The soup and salad were great! The lobster bisque was wonderful. However, the good rave about food ended there. The food was cooked correctly however, it wasn't seasoned and my husband's steak was super chewy and tasted like charcoal. It was sadly bland for how much our meal was (about $100) with entrees and 1 round of drinks. For the price, unfortunately, I don't think we will return.
Ashley Yvonne: Salad bar was great but our food came out decently cold and our steaks were very chewy. Our waitress was absolutely amazing though and her hospitality did not go unnoticed. :)
Jennifer F: Our waiter was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed the fresh well equipped salad bar before our meal. I had the French onion soup, it was bubbling hot and delicious. My husband had the tenderloin and said it was a little dry but I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was amazing. For dessert we had the chocolate tower cake and it was huge. Probably enough for 3-4 people.
Trish H: They accommodated a very large group for a business dinner. The salad bar is really great and is a nice addition to the dinners.Dietary restrictions: Could accommodate severe shellfish allergy
Stephen Love II: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More

Henry Gonzalez: Gentlemen, my name is Henry, I was in this restaurant and it has been the worst experience. I'm just telling you to be prepared to wait 2 to 3 hours for your food, in addition to the terrible service, or since I'm Latino, they discriminated against me, and after waiting 3 hours my meat was served burnt, do not visitGentlemen, owners of this place, what I am reporting to you was totally real, limit yourself to looking for your own internal videos and that is how you will realize that what I am saying is the truth or an invented story, according to your comments I see that you are trying to evade your responsibilities, anyway thanksI don't even want to think that there is discrimination in this place or restaurant, its facilities are very elegant, but its service is very bad, a long wait of 2 to 3 hours, there was no apology, just a very embarrassed girl who served us, gentlemen, nooooo, don't visit this place I recommend it
Jane Casey: What a disappointment! After hearing about Trolley Bar for years, we decided to try the brunch. Nothing on the much-advertised salad bar was cold, and some of it tasted less than fresh. The brunch buffet was not even mediocre. Even though it was very busy, the food was not hot. Some things were dried out. And it just didn't taste good.I ordered a mimosa flight when our server arrived at our table, almost ten minutes after we were seated. Half an hour later, when I was over halfway done with my brunch, I cancelled the order because it had never come. The restaurant looked dirty and tired. Not a place we'll be trying again.
