Scott Sherman: What an incredibly cute place. They are also the Landing Zone coffee co too so when you drive by downtown don’t think you missed it. I had an orange cranberry muffin that was made with fresh squeezed oranges…. Wow was it light and flavorful. Perfect.Had the barista make me a latte and had her choose the flavors. It was one that they were working on a name for but it was delicious. Oh and they roast their own coffee beans.What a gem of a place!

Coffee is so decently priced that I just HAD to get a cookie, which was equally as amazing! I loved it all the Dand D plaque, dragon scales,and dice it was nice. Best of all it was Deliciously moist and the butter cream icing was on point!

Joyful 1: This lil bakery and coffee shop truly lives up to its name! This café is a ball of sunshine and I mean it. 🌞 I met the owner, Brent who runs the coffee shop and Kathy who runs the bakery, the first time I checked this place out. They were both extremely friendly and personable. And now, every time I return, I am welcomed with a cheery, “Hey Joy! How’s your day going?” from one or both. It’s almost like an episode of Cheers…minus the booze. 🙃But let’s start at the beginning. 🔙This coffee shop cannot-and should not-be compared to a Starbucks or Mocha Lounge. 🙅🏽‍♀️ That’s like comparing apples to oranges. They just aren’t the same thing. You go to Starbucks or Mocha Lounge because it’s on your way somewhere and you need a relatively decent cup of the good stuff. But you go to Hello Sunshine Bakery for an “Experience.”Nestled amidst a small local ‘sippery’ and a residential thrift store, this bakery has a quaint small town feel that is absolutely fitting for the Waynedale area. When you step over the threshold, scents of warm chocolate chip cookies and spicy gingerbread men pleasantly beckon you into the depths of this old school café. And when I say old school, I'm talking a black and white checkered floor, a pale-yellow coffee bar lined with vinyl barstools and chalkboard menus with colorful inscriptions. Everything about this place makes you just wanna cop-a-squat on a stool, order a gooey turtle brownie and a big ol’ Mac Marlow and stay a while.So that’s my new fix. A turtle brownie minus the extra caramel drizzle and ☕ a large extra hot Mac Marlow.Lemme tell you about this flavorful duo:▪️The turtle brownie is thick! It’s packed full of chocolatey goodness. 🍫 Literally. Take a giant bite and you’re wading through a heavenly mouthful of chewy caramel swirls, crunchy walnuts and big chocolate chunks. Its absolutely delicious! And I prefer to wash it all down with a hot cup of joe. They have all kinds of coffee and tea. But recently I tried this one drink and it made me wanna change my last name to Marlow. 😄▪️The Mac Marlow is heavily frothed milk, toasted marshmallow syrup and caramel sauce splashed with espresso and topped off with a dollop of fluffy whipped cream and cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkles. Just a sultry cup of goodness. What more can I say?💁‍♀️So if you’re looking for your next home-away-from-home type of coffee shop, be sure to pop into Hello Sunshine Bakery for a chewy molasses cookie or a turtle brownie and tell ‘em Joy sent you. Christi Hudson: Just had a rep bring us some cookies from Hello Sunshine. Like a vulture, I grabbed a chocolate chip as soon as I saw them arrive. Super delicious! I wish I would have grabbed a photo, but I inhaled it too fast.I hadn't heard of this bakery but after seeing the pictures of the brownies and other baked items in the case, and tasting the excellent chocolate chip cookie, I will definitely be stopping in soon!

Osiris Dementia: Mocha latte w/ extra shot was pretty tasty. The massive cinnamon buns was amazing. Super sweet glaze and little caramelized bits of sugar and cinnamon around the base. The chocolate chip scone was okay. Not great but not bad. And the prices are very reasonable. Give it a shot. You'll enjoy it.(I pulled a piece of the bun off before taking the pic. My bad, y'all. It was good.)

Amazing donuts we also ordered 2 of their pies for Pi day. They were delicious as well. Would definitely recommend them.

Revell Polaris: Not being from Fort Wayne, I was pleasantly surprised to run across a wonderful donut shop. Rise 'n Roll Bakery has been here at this location for 5 years. I was told they have another in DuPont Road. There's a nice personal touch when you enter. I might suggest a few more cafe tables for individuals stopping in without family or friends. As you can tell from the photos, the place is clean and the service is top drawer. They could use a few more donut selections (my favorite is coconut but they never seem to show up). The portion size ensures the pleasant taste isn't gone in a few bites. The Bavarian cream cinnamon donuts are just perfect. The Boston cream donuts have a custard type of filling with eggs and milk. Even the paczki's are great. They are closed on Sundays and at 5:00 pm during the week. The only drawback is I wish they were open later and had a location in Chicago. Enjoy! Keep up the great work.

Rob: I have to say I was disappointed from the moment we walked in. A person in our group asked initially if they had any meat, the server said rudely without hesitation "No, this is a vegan restaurant... we don't serve meat" When right behind her on the menu showed the option for non vegan cheeses and meats. As we move forward. We were waiting on our food. and a black bean burger came without cheese on it. and when asked could we get cheese answered rudely "that will be extra" agreeing to the charge on cheese (which we didn't care about in the slightest) The plate was brought back to the kitchen for a slice of cheese and the person in our group was asked to do the servers job and carry the plate out to the for her. The food was very good in the end, they have many options for Vegan and Gluten Free. However in terms of service we were very disappointed.

Anthony Gaff: I had the Reuben and the Creamy Italian White Bean and Rice soup and they were both amazing. The service was fast and friendly and the prices are just right for this type of artisan deli/diner. I will definitely be a return customer. My only complaint is not having known about this place sooner.
