My best option was to pickup this order at CK. I was told that if I picked up this order, all of my future orders would have to be pickup also. What kind of customer service is that?

Contés de Jesús: I have made some orders with CK products before and have received great assistance with the process of determining the shipping cost to Puerto Rico, since it is not possible to immediately see how much will the shipping cost be at the time of placing the order. WIth the previous orders, a representative called me to inform about the shipping cost to decide if I will proceed with the order. This time I called them, placed the order with a representative and she wasn't able to tell me the shipping cost right away, which I understood. She told me that they would call me later. They did call me as they have done before, but since the shipping cost was 3 times the amount of my order, I decided to cancel. The employee was ok with that and hung up, but soon called me back to tell me that they have to charge me a percentage of the order, which for my order was about $40, because they had already packed the products.I don't think it is fair that they didn't give me the opportunity to evaluate if it was a good deal for my business to order from them because they don't have the tools to estimate a shipping cost when the customer is placing the order. Now I had to pay for something that was absolutely out of my control and that could have been avoided if they waited for my confirmation before "packing" the products of my order.

Divine outcome: We have to work 60 hour weeks because no one wants to work here. Why work here, when you can work at Costco for 2 more dollars an hour?

I called their customer service department and spoke to a wonderful representative who took my number and promised a prompt response. Not only did I get a phone call within hours, but the excellent gentleman who dealt with me treated me like a treasured long time customer. I was more than satisfied and will actually seek out this company's products. What a delight to deal with these great people!

Kirsten Hollenback: Great prices on items in bulk. There is a minimum order which makes it difficult to get small amounts but I'm sure it saves us on shipping in the long run. They have worked with me in multiple situations and seem happy to help even with special order products I couldn't find elsewhere. My only complaint is that if something is not in stock you have to pay attention to your invoice and reorder it next time because they cancel it without notification or option to send it out when it is in stock again.

Rick Tompson: The people who built this company up have either retired or been forced out by the new managers. Sure they painted the building, and put up a new website. But they also fired one-third of the production employees. The supervisors who did that replaced them with their relatives and friends. The employees who are still left, know in a few years they will be fired. After the relatives learn how to do their jobs well enough. ------------------------------------------ Myself I was replaced by an office workers relative. Since the recession began, they could not find jobs. And considered it to be their turn to work at this plant. Loyalty means nothing at Lewis Brothers Bakery. ----------------------------------------------- I showed the company how to remove the hepatitis “A” virus from their food manufacturing process. The lawyers from the union and company fought over my idea. “It works”. Four months later I was terminated, any idea who might try to take credit for this? Also an employee fell backwards down an elevator shaft. He broke two vertebra's in his back. And on the way down tried to grab something. His arm was bent 90 degrees. To this day he still has problems closing his hand. ------------------------------------------------- The next day I carefully explained how Lewis Brothers was in violation of OSHA regulations. And a few other things they did (before and after) the accident. Otis elevators was never told this, and paid out on this claim. ------------------------------------------ I think Otis elevators could take them back to court, (if I told them). Sue them for double the payout? And then the plant would have been be closed down. This is referred to as “Loyalty”, something the new managers do not seem to understand. The elevator inspector(homeland security), OSHA investigator and Otis elevators where all kind of mad at them.

Mary Brandeberry: It appears that Holsum bread has made changes to their recipe. The texture isn’t the same. It doesn’t toast up the same. I’m the third generation of Holsum bread buyers however, I’m searching for a new brand.
