Maggie Corliss: My boyfriend and I decided to try here as we've never had authentic ramen from a restaurant, only the microwave stuff from home. I was thoroughly impressed by the food. I had the teriyaki chicken ramen, and he had the spicy miso. Definitely recommend and will be coming back in the future.The only issue we had was after trying my card twice it kept saying invalid pin and wouldn't go through even though I know I was doing the right pin. My boyfriend tried his card and got the same error. Luckily they were able to find a way to bypass the pin.

Mark Holst: We ordered Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice - with extra teriyaki sauce. We had never been to Kyoto so we walked in to look and order. The lady at the counter was helpful and friendly, and the shop is clean and simple with 3 small tables if you want to eat in. Tables are 2 person size.The order was prepared fresh and we were out in under 10 minutes. The meal was very good. Expect every Japanese restaurant to be just a little different - different cooks, different tastes - but we liked it. It's what we expect to get from a Japanese restaurant. We did order extra teriyaki sauce and my wife won't do that next time. It was just right for me.It's interesting that the business next door is the Bamboo Garden - Chinese fare. There is a worker door between the two restaurants and I noticed a large pot of rice going from Kyoto to Bamboo Garden. Owned by the same folks? I don't know. But since they both serve large quantities of rice, sharing a rice cooker is totally logical.We'll be going to Kyoto for carry out when the urge arises. And I suspect an alliance between Kyoto and Bamboo Garden so that restaurant is also on our list when the want for Chinese carry out arises.

Scott Haney: Came in and we were promptly greeted in a friendly voice . The menu has a nice variety of dishes to choose from. We ordered a Spicy Beef Ramen and a Hibachi Shrimp. We also got a Spicy Kani roll. The food came quickly and proved to be very tasty.You can also step next door to Bamboo Garden for some excellent Chinese food.

There food is so good and I was excited to eat some sushi, but once we were seated we did not get waited on. We waited about 10 minutes watching the server hit the table that got seated after us. I got up and told the manager we had been sitting for 10 minutes and he didn't even offer to get our drinks started. We sat for another 5 minutes and decided to leave. I understand being busy an all as I have waited tables, but very poor service. Sadly, I have no pictures of the yummy food cuz I didn't get any.

Ellie Neuerburg: Nice environment and experience! Had a blueberry martini (very sweet!) and the vegetarian hibachi dinner with fried rice. Had a very kind and talented chef, and the food was pretty tasty at the end. In comparison to other hibachi experiences I’ve had, the food here was lacking a bit in flavor and they do not offer udon noodles with the meal, so that was just a tad disappointing. I would still come back here, though, and I definitely enjoyed my leftovers the next day!

Brid889: moved here from New England and the sushi is good, better than most places in Fort Wayne so far that I've tried. However I'm never going back cause my partner who doesn't eat fish ordered the teriyaki chicken and when it came out 50 minutes after I had gotten my sushi I ordered(btw we ordered at the same time). It was a sad mildly flavored piece of chicken with only a scoop of white rice... I actually laughed out loud cause it was so awful for the amount of time they spent preparing it. especially for the price. wont go back again after that cause it was truly pathetic.
D C: Worse experience ever! My wife had someone's ear bud in her dish. Yeah, you heard me right, AN EAR BUD! Only thing the garbage manager did was give us a free dessert that no one wanted. I wanted to walk out but it was my daughters graduation dinner and that pretty much ruined it. Yes, the health department was called but doubt they did anything. Trash restuarant and staff!

Lilee Nguyen: Hands down the best sushi restaurant in Fort Wayne. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is great and on par EVERYTIME. I love their teriyaki sauce! Heard it is home made by the owner. If you love sushi and never been here, I recommend trying it. My go to's are gyoza, chicken teriyaki, tiger roll. There are also some delicious cooked sushi for those who don't eat raw sushi.

I personally don't like sushi so he recommended the chicken teriyaki which was all white meat and cooked to perfection. My partner ordered sushi which was perfect and to their liking. Theo Bishop: I’m a regular here and I got food poisoning from take out. So I called and simply asked for a gift card/ reimbursement and the manager told me I needed a doctors note to prove I had food poisoning. Going to the doctor over a $65 sushi take out order isn’t worth it. Now they have lost a regular customer for years because they were unwilling to accommodate me in the situation. I will not be back and would highly recommend Sapporo.

If you compare to other sushi places like Koto or Asakusa, you don't get much of sushi at Shoccu out of your money. (i was surprised how little the slice was on top of our sushi).[Granted when we first went there... they did provide solid pieces but the more we go it was not the case]

Anival Ramirez: Delicious food, great service and a good price. It is a little out of the way for me but me and my friends will be making the trek again and again. It was so good I've already started telling friends about it. Portions were bigger than expected without being overbearing heaps. Highly recommend.
