Kristin Butler: Wow! Really fresh sushi!! They have some unique sushi roll choices. We got a Geisha roll and a Christmas roll. The miso soup is good. They have a crispy rice roll on the appetizer menu that is different and really good. We also got a Bento box with Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. For a lunch size serving, it was a lot of food. The tempura veggies were a little greasy, but I'm not a huge fan of fried stuff. The staff is very nice and very attentive! We will definitely go back!

Jennifer LeCount: Went in tonight to have some dinner and obviously there was a wait which I do not mind and expected. There food is so good and I was excited to eat some sushi, but once we were seated we did not get waited on. We waited about 10 minutes watching the server hit the table that got seated after us. I got up and told the manager we had been sitting for 10 minutes and he didn't even offer to get our drinks started. We sat for another 5 minutes and decided to leave. I understand being busy an all as I have waited tables, but very poor service. Sadly, I have no pictures of the yummy food cuz I didn't get any.

Kayla Pelance: I have been to Umi numerous times and it never disappoints! We had a Valentines dinner reservation and they were attentive, not too busy, and made sure we had a wonderful evening. I had my favorite Doc G Roll and we tried their crab Rangoon for a starter. The Rangoon was perfect. I also had a drink to go with dinner and it was delicious but I can not remember the name unfortunately. It was blue-green and beachy... and not too strong but not weak either. I would highly recommend Umi to anyone looking for a nice dinner out!

I thought the sushi rolls were a bit expensive when I saw the menu but they are not your typical sushi rolls and were worth the price. Brid889: moved here from New England and the sushi is good, better than most places in Fort Wayne so far that I've tried. However I'm never going back cause my partner who doesn't eat fish ordered the teriyaki chicken and when it came out 50 minutes after I had gotten my sushi I ordered(btw we ordered at the same time). It was a sad mildly flavored piece of chicken with only a scoop of white rice... I actually laughed out loud cause it was so awful for the amount of time they spent preparing it. especially for the price. wont go back again after that cause it was truly pathetic.
D C: Worse experience ever! My wife had someone's ear bud in her dish. Yeah, you heard me right, AN EAR BUD! Only thing the garbage manager did was give us a free dessert that no one wanted. I wanted to walk out but it was my daughters graduation dinner and that pretty much ruined it. Yes, the health department was called but doubt they did anything. Trash restuarant and staff!

We all agreed it was cooked perfectly. The curry was enormous- and delicious. Everyone liked the roll. The atmosphere was very nice. It is very comfortable but looks very upscale. Philip Parkison: Had a lunch meeting and got the hibachi chicken. My coworker got sushi. We were taken care of. The only thing that was super weird was the light kept flickering maybe because we got there right at the beginning. The parking lots pretty. You could usually talk to others easily. It's a classy Asian fusion place not your Carry-out Chinese joint. It could manage large groups and small ones. It is more for sushi. Would come back
Cody Hutchison: This is my favorite place to get sushi. The most recent visit I tried the Moon Fire and Black Panther rolls. Both were incredible the moon fire came to the table on fire and was delicious. The black panther was unlike any sushi I've eaten before the spicy scallops had some good spicy kick, especially the end pieces. I'm always impressed with Nori and happily drive the near hour to enjoy their great food. Nori has some great modern decor and great service. I look forward to my next visit.

Rachel Baumgartner: One of my favorite places to dine out in Fort Wayne. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is always delicious. I recommend the filet mignon. It's awesome watching them make your food. The soup they give you in the beginning is delicious, as is everything I have tried here. Ellie Neuerburg: Nice environment and experience! Had a blueberry martini (very sweet!) and the vegetarian hibachi dinner with fried rice. Had a very kind and talented chef, and the food was pretty tasty at the end. In comparison to other hibachi experiences I’ve had, the food here was lacking a bit in flavor and they do not offer udon noodles with the meal, so that was just a tad disappointing. I would still come back here, though, and I definitely enjoyed my leftovers the next day!

I had the teriyaki chicken ramen, and he had the spicy miso. Definitely recommend and will be coming back in the future.The only issue we had was after trying my card twice it kept saying invalid pin and wouldn't go through even though I know I was doing the right pin. My boyfriend tried his card and got the same error. Luckily they were able to find a way to bypass the pin.

Mark Holst: We ordered Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice - with extra teriyaki sauce. We had never been to Kyoto so we walked in to look and order. The lady at the counter was helpful and friendly, and the shop is clean and simple with 3 small tables if you want to eat in. Tables are 2 person size.The order was prepared fresh and we were out in under 10 minutes. The meal was very good. Expect every Japanese restaurant to be just a little different - different cooks, different tastes - but we liked it. It's what we expect to get from a Japanese restaurant. We did order extra teriyaki sauce and my wife won't do that next time. It was just right for me.It's interesting that the business next door is the Bamboo Garden - Chinese fare. There is a worker door between the two restaurants and I noticed a large pot of rice going from Kyoto to Bamboo Garden. Owned by the same folks? I don't know. But since they both serve large quantities of rice, sharing a rice cooker is totally logical.We'll be going to Kyoto for carry out when the urge arises. And I suspect an alliance between Kyoto and Bamboo Garden so that restaurant is also on our list when the want for Chinese carry out arises.

Cayce Debzi: We have come here only 2 times. The first time we loved it so much. For our anniversary we decided to come back. We were seated quickly by the host. We waited about 5-10 minutes before our waitress came and and told us she had to put in a couple of orders and would be right back to take our order. We were fine with that but then we didn’t see her for another 10 minutes again and that was her refilling other peoples drinks. She walked right past us as we tried to stop her to order but instead she went to the table next to us. They wanted their waitress and was asking her to let her know they needed her. (So obviously their waitress was inattentive as well). She walked away yet again from us without even taking our drink order yet. On her way to get their waitress she stopped and chatted with a different table about her mom. We finally decided to leave. We were there 35 minutes and never even had our drink order taken let alone our food. We won’t be back.
