The lady had a cart bringing it back into the store but decided to come towards me and block me from walking to my car and asked for a receipt she wouldn't let me walk around her and proceeded to run into me with the cart out in the parking lot. I told her I purchased my items and to never stop me outside my car or block me and how disgusting it was for her to assume I dident pay for my items I told her I'm outside the store and to never do that again! I showed her my receipt and told her I don't appreciate what she did and made me feel unsafe with her blocking me and not letting me go to my car train her better or fire her disgusting behavior

Hi I'm Olivia: All the managers and employees are so rude to you. I just came in today with name brand clothes and they took only one thing it was from Kroger (for 3 dollars). They also took my heels that I paid 30 dollars for and they only gave me 8 dollars for all three items. When you walk in the managers and employees all give you dirty looks. No customer service skills at all. Would not recommend going here. Not to mention I worked there a few years ago and all the staff were rude to me and made me feel like an outcast. When I was working on the changing rooms they didn't tell me that rotation had happened. And then Amanda got in my face and told me "if you can't do your right then we need to discuss other work options for you". And I also told them at the very beginning when I first was hired thag I needed this day off specifically because I needed to take the SAT. Well that day came around and I was scheduled that day. So I called them and I told them and I explained to them what happened. They told me I needed to try and get the shift picked up and nobody wanted to so I called them back and told them. They said that's fine. I get done with my test and then that same day I get a message saying that I'm terminated. Do not shop here or apply here.
Jay Why: I went in to shop around a few days ago and noticed a customer was wanting a security tag removed from an item she purchased. She showed them the receipt, only for the manager to accuse her of stealing the item and practically stole it from her. They demanded she pay for it, and she left upset. This left a bad taste in my mouth, and I left the establishment upset.Even if the customer did steal the item, why in God's name would they return the item back to have the security tag removed? Seems like the manager is very unhinged like the person responding to these reviews so shoppers beware of this terrible place. They will rob you if they can!
Jay: Not worth the time or effort. Staff was rude and I heard them loudly complaining how annoying it was that I had brought clothing in to sell. There’s no rhyme or reason behind what they decide to keep or give back, and they hardly give you any money for what they do take. And the prices on their items are outrageous for second hand. Every time I go here it is such an unpleasant experience. I will not be returning. Don’t waste your time.
Austin B: they only took two items that we brought to them out of two trash bags full of name brand clothes in mint condition. they then tried to hand me one trash bag thinking I wouldn’t realize they tried to hock a whole bag of named brand clothes off of me without paying for them. All while it took nearly 3 hours for them to go through. Don’t waste your time.
holi ann: beware bringing more than one container/bag of items in. one time when i went to drop off, there was a lady angry who called out the workers for not going through one of her bags of items because it was very clear they didn’t touch it. this happened to me a few weeks ago where they clearly didn’t go through one of the bags i brought in because everything was still folded how i brought it in. i didn’t say anything to the employees because they’re way too rude and i didn’t feel like dealing with it. just beware selling to this place
Niah Kanoelani: The People I dealt with were really nice and helped me out. I came donating my clothes which some were brand new from torrid & SHEIN with tags still on them. They said out of the whole bag I brought to them that the clothes weren’t there style or clothes weren’t in good enough condition which confuses me because I’ve seen clothes in there that look dingy and beyond used. Why be picky and say it’s not your style when it’s a clothing store and there’s thousands of people with different tastes in clothes.

SAVE THE TEXAS PRAIRIE CHICKEN: HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF MY CLOTHES! I gave them a bag of clothes. Neatly folded, including BRAND NEW pants that still had the factory creasing. HAD being the operative word. When I picked up my bag, everything was SHOVED back in. Not even an effort to fold. My brand new pants? RUINED! I'd have to take off the tags and take them to a dry cleaners to be pressed. Never coming here again. And one more thing, I understand Plato's Closet caters to a younger generation...but Leopard print and very chic modern plaid? Too mature? Get real. Old Navy, NY&C, Khols, Target, etc all are selling these styles for big bucks. Sorry you weren't smart enough to makes some big bucks but I guess that means I will elsewhere.

Samuel Stroth: This place is a joke. You could bring in the newest, in style, name brand clothing items you have and you'd still go home with a full bag of donations. I went to the reviews to see if it was just me only to see condescending and rude replies from the owner or whoevers representing them. They claim to have high quality items and thats their reason for being "picky" with their selection yet their selection sucks. Every time my wife and I go in here to shop it's other department store brands, middle school kid style clothes, out of season, and cluttered. They're just biased, snooty, employees with rude management who love to upsale thrift store clothes. You'd be better off going to an actual thrift store and spending way less money for better items and better customer service.
Emily Garver: Selection in store is awful, like a SHEIN/Forever 21 nightmare. Don't bother taking clothes to sell, as they only take items that follow the current fad. I took in items I wore in high school only a few years ago, and I was told they were too mature. Said items include skinny as well as flare jeans (which are back in style now so ??), Maurices T-shirts, solid color leggings, Old Navy sweaters, Converse shoes, and more. They only want items a 13 year old will wear, apparently. Don't waste your time trying to sell here, and definitely don't waste your time looking through row after row of shirts with emojis on them to buy.
Peanut Head: Kind of annoying that they reject so many donations that are like new, name brand items. Hate having to wait 3 hours just to come pick up a full bag of donations.Edit: The replies to customers are super unprofessional. Customers don't work there and aren't aware of all your procedures. The clothes I tried to sell were within the year, a recent style, basically new and name brand, so that's why I was confused. They claim to have "upmost quality with up to date styles" but I've gone in and seen some dingy, old, worn in items that has me wondering why that made it in and not mine? Like Walmart/Kohls brand clothes were in there! But then they turn around and say "well we're only a lil ole thrift/resale store, things will be used lookin here". It also doesn't help that no one takes accountability. The person replying jumps at the opportunity to clap back at customers in a very condescending way. This whole operation should be reevaluated. Try funding another clothing store that cares about helping people.

DO NOT sell your clothes to them—they completely underpay you and then sell your pieces for so much more money. it’s a complete scam. recently i was on the phone with them because they got my pickup day incorrect and the only thing i got from them was that it was MY fault even though they are the ones that messed up. because of this, they were angry with ME, so they ended up giving me $33 for my clothes when i had given them so many pieces new with tags, and all of my clothes were of utmost quality. i will never go back, and i will never recommend them to anyone.

Dallace-Nikhol Degregorio: First time being here: The place is expensive. Found a couple things I liked but overall put most back due fo price.When we got in line the lady was very sweet but slow as molasses. She would stop and talk to the guests and it just took way longer than needed.Second time being here: still expensive for a thrift shop but it's okay. I bought 3 dresses for 6.99 each. That's pretty average for dresses at goodwill. But there were a pair of cool shark leggings, by luluroe and they wanted 15 bucks for them. Absolutely insane.Lines were long and it was hot in there.Very packed on Saturday day at 4 pm

If your gonna come to the Fort to thrift make sure Goodwill on Lima road is at the top of your list and Allow yourself plenty of time to shop.

Gabi Stone: I don’t like to leave reviews normally but today is an exception.Today I went shopping with my family and while my youngest and I patiently waiting for my husband to finish looking at books, we sat in the shoe area. My youngest is 3, she’s at the age where dress up is her favorite activity and Mommy’s shoes are the coolest accessory.She had picked out a pair of shoes her size and spent the next 10 minutes or so helping me pick out shoes and after a while we had made a pile to purchase.I noticed an older woman employee walking around in grumpy mood.She approached my toddler - I am sitting on the bench 4ft away- and starts scolding her for trying on shoes.She starts scolding my toddler and then grabs her and physically removed the shoes off her feet.I didn’t know how to react so I just watched. My husband however is absolutely furious.It doesn’t matter if my child was breaking those shoes in half. You should never put your hands on another persons child.If you’d like to review camera footage my family was in around 3:30 today.This incident happened around 4pm.
Dimelo Waterson: This Goodwill is bigger than most, but the prices are more closely adjusted to value for high-dollar items, so bargain-flippers beware. It's the first thrift store I've seen with $200+ price tags, if that puts things in context. It's also mostly clothes, despite its expanded size, so you shouldn't expect more housewares or furniture.
Michele: I walked in and searched for a few items. Suddenly they anode they are closing in 15 minutes so I head to the dressing room where I am told I they are closed since the store is closing. I had 4 items 1 of which was $39.99. Can't spend that on something I can't try on. Today was the day I was out and about. Not coming back tomorrow.... or any time soon.

The goodwills in my area are $1.99 for shirts, $9.99 shoes if they are in good condition, $9.99 for coats and jackets. I don't know what you all are smoking. I won't be back. Don't feed this store, they are robbing the people they claim to help. Go to the southern IN goodwills.

Burlington was always the place for coats with many other items. Now I understand that they are just Burlington but I would think they would still try to stock coats. I feel like it's just another store where you never really know what you might find. And you might not find what you are looking for.

Wayne McLaughlin: Help is hard to find and I think all retailers can lean on that a bit for disarray in their stores. This store absolutely pushes the limit on it. Women's clothing mixed with men's, sizes mixed, clothing on floor, etc. Sad that this used to be a great store for shopping.
Nadia Rhoades: I'm not exaggerating when I say nearly 75% of my clothes are from Khol's. So many cute styles to choose from, employees are always super nice, and there are some great opportunities to save money!

Sue Scheiber: I went to find a pair of shoes. The shoe department was a complete mess. Shoes and boxes all over. No order whatsoever. The good news is that I found a pair of shoes but no box or price tag. The cashier was able to find a price online, and the in store price was even less. My patience paid off.
Darby Fleming: Store is very tidy and shoppable but not as good as they once were. Prices are high enough now you should definitely shop around. Shoe selection is just ok for adult men too. Not enough dress casual and anything over an 11 is almost non existent

Just a sample of high prices have gotten. I did get a Columbia coat for $69 on clearance rack.One set of registers closed and disorganized. Store just seemed sloppy.

Joss (Angela Josslyn): The staff at the returns desk - which I visit often to return impulse buys 🙄 - are very patient and helpful. So are the cashiers. They all seem to have a positive attitude and good customer service. The prices are really decent for today's financial climate, and they have nice sale items in view. The store is very clean and welcoming. A nice comfortable stroll through the isles, not crowded at all. I enjoy my visits there.

Jan: Something for everyone. Furniture is limited so it makes more sense to go to the Brooklyn Ave store if that's what you're looking for. Higher end clothing at this location. Variety is always changing, so you just have to check. Typically, not the best location for furniture or scrubs.

Today while I was in I witnessed a manager/supervisor speak very rudely to the cashier on the floor. She was told to “PAY ATTENTION TO THE LINES.” The employee expressed that she was paying attention. That the line just got busy. She was correct. The supervisor then said “PAY BETTER ATTENTION.” Then walked away. It was extremely unprofessional of the supervisor to speak to her that way in front of everyone. Also, she was extremely busy so perhaps instead of criticizing the cashier maybe the supervisor could have taken a lane and helped her out….

Sarah K: There are 2 great goodwills in Fort Wayne. This is the number #1. I find a lot of nice kids clothes and housewares here. I don't normally shop for myself so I can't speak on adult clothes. On occasion I have seen something and bought it like new.I find new, new with tags, or like new kids clothes a lot at this store plus nice home decor and housewares. Name brand clothes too for the kids. Need snow suits or pants, this store will have them in the fall.I was told once our area is a great donation area. Indy goodwills and Marion don't hold a candle to the Fort Wayne district. It used to be the opposite but Fort Wayne stepped up their game. Prices are being raised, but still a great deal for most items. You have to know your buying power and know current retail prices.Don't forget to show your 20% off code on your phone under the mad money coupon page!Fort wayne district is the best run and I've been to even several in Ohio.
Herb 2: Just started putting out Halloween decorations, just wish they'd start preparing for it sooner so the Halloween stuff would be out and priced on the day they day they will have it out instead if putting it out all day long piece by piece for the next 2 weeks.

Tina Luckhoff: Too expensive for a Goodwill store. T shirts can be bought at Walmart cheaper. Jeans 7.99.
Jeff Bertsch: Store is fairly well organized and clean. Stock is what you would usually find at a Goodwill.

Shannon Fagan: This store was BIG! Lots and lots of clothing, housewares, furniture and shoes galore! Well maintained. Dressing rooms were kinds messy though and overloaded with stuff people tried on and didn't want.

As of July 2019, Blue Jacket donated 44,000 articles of clothing to it's clients to attend our training and be interview-ready.
Blue Jacket’s goal is to create transitional positions responsible for the daily operations of the Clothing Store using only Blue Jacket graduates. These transitional job placements provide income, experience, and a leg up for people that possess little hope at becoming employed. The vehicle that makes transitional employment possible is our in-house staffing agency, Blue Jacket Staffing.
