Indy Reads: what do users think?
Adrienne Jones: Cozy local bookstore with excellent organization and cool displays.Always a pleasure to browse. Great kids and YA sections.Supports local literacy programs and local writers. One of my favorite stops in Indianapolis.
dawn charbonneau: Wonderful bookstore and organization with a mission to provide adult literacy classes and training for folks studying for GED testing. I absolutely LOVE the welcoming and eclectic bookstore space and so proud to support this wonderful mission.
Lainey B: Great local book shop that also has adult education classes.
Jordan Irwin: I donated a small canvas bags of books that I used to love. The greeting received was from a notepad on the front desk stating SOMEONE was indeed in the building. The first woman to greet me looked like she didn’t belong there, just meek and confused. The woman who DID know what was going on informed me donations (if good enough for your standards!) are only accepted on the first Friday. She then repeated it not once, not twice, but three times. Thankfully my books met your standard of quality, so she took my donated books. Not one thank you or have a nice day from anyone. I will now gladly donate, purchase, and read elsewhere in Indy.
Sarah W: Delightful bookstore! Always a great selection, wonderful vibes, and they have an awesome mission!
Morgan Thompson: Amazing bookstore with amazing staff. Thank you again, Toby!

Ziyad SM: What a lovely place! I have spent my Saturday morning reading with a beautiful group of people from different places in the world, and it was great. Definitely a worth coming library.
Jennifer Burns: Super fun space filled with local authors, used books and new. Some books are even signed by the authors for purchase! Very unique book store!
Sanjay Vardhan: Great place to get used books and local reads. Nice to volunteer also.
Bri Bell: Amazing book store with a great purpose and passion for the community. Absolutely love coming here. The staff is excellent and they have a great selection of the classics. Really appreciate what they are doing for others.
Kalista Q: Nice people friendly but no handicap door
Erin Donovan: I have loved Indy Reads from the moment I stepped in to their Mass Ave location and I am thoroughly pleased to see them settle in so well to Fountain Square. Feels so good to have my favorite local bookstore back 💚

Half Price Books: what do users think?
Tina Majors: Always a great find
Donald Sutherland: Lowball on buys!
Paul Alter: Great service
Jon Adams: Nice selection and easy to navigate. Prices are pretty fair.
James Morrison: I love the location of this store and they have so much to offer. I never know what I will find and found a manga that was out of print.
Karin Michelle: We love going here for books! The selection is huge and changes often as they are always purchasing used books. My kids always find something to read and we don’t have to spend much. The store is also clean and the staff is friendly
John Sweezy: I love going to this store. My oldest child is really big in graphic novels right now, and they have a great selection. If they don't have it the staff is super helpful finding what you are looking for. Also the prices are hard to beat with the occasional new book sitting on the shelf.
Hannah Linder: Always a great experience. Staff are so helpful and happy to be there.
Chris Bowen: Like it, but some of the Tech books I bought are out of date.
Steve Motto: Love this place and others too !
Emma Lanley: Such a cool store!!! Although I will say, very few books were truly “half off” their list price.
beth smith: You can find books about everything
Ben Pittsley: Wish they’d pay more for reselling.
Jaxx Steele: I always check here first. I don't have to recharge a book when traveling
chance french: Always fun to see what they have in stock
Crystal Taylor: Plenty of books!
Eric Penington: One of my favorite Half Price Books Locations. Just a warning though, whenever you trade things in, don't expect to get much for them. Try to sell your valuable stuff on eBay or another way. At a different location, I recently got low-balled on a large amt. of books and records. I still took the store credit because I was glad to get rid of the stuff and do think HPB is great. Update: Took another large box of books in and they only gave me $5. Probably only .10 per book and there were several like new cond. kids and young adult books in there. Half Price books… please be more fair to your customers and pay us more for our stuff!
JustFollow Kenya (Mswhatleysworld): Lots of toys, books, albums, games for a great price. A cozy place to shop. They buy used books etc for resale.
Erin FoxDoan: This was honestly my first trip to Half Price Books. We found an amazing Edgar Allen Poe collection that had a beautiful inscription from a son to his mother in it.And a Kiss vinyl!!I will be returning!!
Vipul Patel: This was a gem find for book-lovers like me. It has nice collection of books. Fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, comics, puzzles and a lot more. Prices are, if not completely half, then at least less than actual market price. True joy is to find that some old good books amongst treasure troves of book shelves. You can also sell your books here. Good initiative. Must visit place for book-worms.
Zach Bowman: Great place! One of my favorites. Books, vinyl records, board and card games, etc. Great source for all of the above. Something always catches my eye.

Half Price Books: what do users think?
Karl Perry: Large selection of used books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records. Lots of new stuff too.
Tom Thews: I stop here everytime I get to Indy
Anthony Felmy: Great selection. Friendly staff.
Barry Mosier: Love going here to see what finds there are. Always a nice atmosphere inside the store.
chance french: Great place for books and board games!
Arlys Fortier: Great selection
tom perry: Always has great prices on books, toys and especially comics!
Esther Monahan: Lots of variety and pretty good value. Pleasant staff. Clean store with nice displays.
Christopher Buehrer: A wide array of books. Something for any interest.
Grant Helms: Always a great choice for books of various genres, as well as a good vinyl & CD selection. Pro tip: check out the notebook, stationary, and journal section for excellent gift ideas, especially for artists and art lovers.
James Morrison: I love that this store is so well organized, clean and has tons of products. I never know what I will find here and also found a book about Leslie Jordan I haven't seen before.
Mark Galovic: My grandson was looking for goodies, and found a cd. That made this a good trip!
Aaron Bolinger: I can always fine something I can’t live without.
Bigbadass Bcoil: Reminds me if a library but they also have board games lol
Undercard: Great environment! Had lots of classics
Brad Zachary: This place has about anything you could ever want.
David Frederick: My daughter and I love Half Price Books and visit both northside locations 2 or 3 times a month. We both indulge in several collection interests not only in books but music as well. We've added a lot to her vinyl collection recently. Love the staff at the 86th and Ditch location. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly.
Blake McNeely: Sold some books here, got the little one a lil toy do da from one of the shelves that toys and puzzles. Also got a kickass tripping calendar. Staff was helpful as well.
Sk Cook: Great. Has some books to drop off, and shopped for some I didn't need, but I wanted.
Scott Wooldridge: A great place to find some good deals! There are a few hidden gems if you are willing to put in the time to look.
Eric Penington: In general, Half Price Books is an awesome place to find unique music, books, and other stuff. However, I recently took in three big boxes of books and records there (about 50 items), and they gave me a very little amt. of store credit for it. I sell items on eBay and am estimating that they gave me only about 10% of what the items are worth. There were several like-new children's books and vintage ones, cookbooks, Hunger Games Trilogy, some good cds (including a John Zorn), and a few good records (including a Devo). They only gave me $25 store credit and will easily make over $100 on the items. I've traded stuff in before, but this particular time I felt taken. The other offers in the past were definitely a little low but I could live with them because I do like HPB a lot. I'm going to try to just bundle stuff and sell it on eBay next time.
