LB HUGHES: I like their chicken and was introduced to their gizzards. So why the 3 stars you ask….well here it go. On several occasions I’ve came at least 30 mins after they’re supposedly open and everytime they was either just getting there or unlocking the door and cutting the open sign on. Also this last time was very strange to me. I went there to get my usual minus the gizzards since they just cut the sign on and unlocked the door. Chicken did cook in about 5 minutes but weird that it cooked so fast. Days go by and I was on like the last day of freshness period so decided to finish off the last two thighs. But strange again as one of the thighs had a very long type of hair something stuck to the bottom of it which I keep telling myself that surely it can’t be because the temperature of the grease would’ve burnt it up???? Also it was two males this last time so none of which had that type of length hair, so must’ve been on the chicken prior???? Lol I’m just alil confused about it but in any case, I’ll chill out from going there for awhile.
Kelsi Means: Saw this place on Tiktok and it was good, but they have room for improvement. The quality of the food was good and the prices were reasonable but I wouldn’t put them over any other place that has chicken besides the variety of other Mexican stuff you can get there, I liked that. The store could use a good deep clean and a face lift. There’s a weird smell when you walk in and the glass on the counter is very dirty and just needs wiped down. It gives the impression that the chicken cabinet is dirty. I also don’t understand the 1oz sauce cups if their going to give you lots of them anyway. I love that this is family owned restaurant that’s giving people what they want, but I’d love to see them do better! Will return

PAUL CLAY: This looked like a great place to have dinner. At the door I was told 30 minute wait unless we sat at the bar. One entire side of the bar was open and over half of the tables were empty. After I sat at the bar I realized why no one wanted to sit on that side. The air vents for the AC unit were blowing so hard on that side that you could not set a napkin on the bar without it blowing off. My wife had to put here hair in a ponytail like if she was riding a motorcycle to keep her hair from blowing in everyone's face. We asked if it could be turned off because of the wind vortex that was created by the multiple air vents and the bar tender said no. I ordered Shrimp & Grits and Mac & Cheese. They both came on cute little cast iron skillets that are supposed to keep your food warm. The Mac & Cheese noodles were half raw / severely under cooked and served cold (I took 2 bites). The Shrimp & Grits looked and smelled great but was served refrigerator cold. They were less than room temperature (I only took one bite). The bottom of the cast iron skillet was colder than the bar. I pushed both items away from me and up to the bar so that the Bartenders would know that I was disappointed with both and that I was not going to eat them. I was very frustrated. I was sitting in this odd wind tunnel with high speed air blowing on me from two different directions and severed cold undercooked food by a bar tender that did not care. I paid the bill, left a 20% tip, asked for two togo containers, grabbed a fork and some napkins, and gave the food to a begger standing outside the front door. Hopefully the homeless man does not loose more teeth from the crunchy raw pasta in the Mac & Cheese.

Tommy Zaharias: The experience at The Eagle was so spectacular because of the service. We were greeted with great attitude by Olivia S (small blonde). Words can't describe how long it has been since I had a great server like Olivia. She was very attentive and was very frequent on our water refills. She not only got our order correct but she made really great recommendations. I would recommend the apples with your grilled cheese. You won't be disappointed. Would highly recommend requesting Oliva during your next visit to the Eagle.

Ashley Payne: We started with the bacon and it was really tasty. A perfect blend of spice and sweetness. Then everyone ordered the chicken. The chicken is really really good but the sides could be better. The succotash was under seasoned; it had all the right ingredients but lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese also lacked flavor, the cheese sauce was very rich but lacked any depth in flavor. It needed salt or spice or something other than just having a lot of cheese. I would give it another try because the chicken and the hot honey were both really really tasty.

Nathan Villines: The spicy honey chicken tender and biscuit was tiny and there was only one. My girlfriends over easy eggs were barely cooked. The egg whites were runny. The home fries tasted raw on the inside. She also got the biscuits and gravy which were just okay but there was barely any sausage in it. Overall I was pretty disappointed. This was my least favorite of all the other local breakfast options.

They could really raise the bar by serving fresh green beans, for instance. If you were paying for food alone, it would be overpriced. HollyHock really shines with its family style dining. This place seems best fit for larger parties. I would give this place 3.5 stars if possible.

Jeff Crawford: First of all, the owner is a really nice guy... very welcoming...He really knows how to cook wings..i ordered 18 wings,all flats,and they were crispy outside, moist and tender inside..my issue is with the sauces..lemon pepper prepackaged..the jerk was not homemade...if you cook wings this well,make your own sauces and seasonings..18 flats,with fries,was $42.00....I'm sorry,but I can get 20 wings from KSR,for much less $...and you get carrots, celery,and the best bleu cheese with your wings..i hope he makes changes,because he cooks wings to perfection..
James Cole: Not gonna lie, the high amount of reviews on this place gave me a lot of hope for a fresh made to order kinda chicken place, but I've had better wings from Pizza Hut than what they attempted to serve me. Paid $45 for 20 wings (bone in) despite the online menu listing a different price as well as the menu inside the building. While thinking to myself that it felt a little foolish, I thought the wings must be worthy of such a ridiculous price; I was wrong. These wings were completely raw-dogged, no sauce despite asking whoever was cooking with one shoe on in the back 3 times if there was sauce was on my order. You ever tried to eat 20 wings dry? It's like eating a raw potato. Not to mention the bare wings were soggy, tasteless, and, well, just frankly garbage in every category a wing could be good. Almost no flavor and you could practically taste the fact their grease hadn't been changed in at least a week. Really, really, let me down on this one. I almost hope this place just ripped me off this once and this isnt how they operate, because that would simply be embarrassing. And while I hate leaving a terrible review, they deserve nothing more than a failing health code grade and demolition.

I looked online on there website & saw the 15 piece fish meal for $24.99, when I placed my order for this I was told it was $32.69, I asked why, and was told online is not the correct price. I still ordered since I traveled so far, however, when I got home, I didn't have any fries, which really disappointed and ruined my whole meal, and the fish this time, wasn't very good, I ate a few pieces & threw the rest in in the trash, I did call and expressed how disappointed I was, and was offered 2 large fries, but it was too late, and I expressed how I don't live close by, and that I come there for the service, which wasn't very good this time, they took my information & told me come into get my 2 free fries, but I don't think anyone would remember me, and I'm not going to explain the reason again ,needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment.
