Samantha Leffel: This store is brand-spanking-new and lovely! Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and wore genuine smiles! I'm owned by a senior Shih Tzu, so most of the pics I shared are dog-related, but there's also plenty of supplies/goodies for kitties, fish and reptiles too. Special shout-out to Lori and Paula for being so welcoming and informative - I'm excited to see how my boy likes the free sample of the in-house, Made In The USA brand of food by Nutri Source and will definitely be back to get "Welcome To Your New Furever Home" gifts and Training Treats for all the new pups in my neighborhood! Please do note - Google Maps had a hard time finding the current entrance for this strip of stores, as the plaza has a little bit more construction to finish. Look for the backside entrance northeast of 421/Michigan Road.

Paul Phillips: We visited Uncle Bills after lunch next door. One thing I noticed right away was the cleanliness of the store. While looking at the fish, my daughter noticed a white beta, a color we had not seen before. Immediately a helpful employee showed up to explain the uniqueness of the fish and how it was acquired. He also helped with picking out the perfect tank, filter, heater and food to keep our new pet happy. When we went to the cashier to pay for everything, she was extremely friendly and really engaged my granddaughter. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Jasmine Tidrow: The smell of pet urine and fences hits you when you first come in. Open some windows and air the place out and use something to neutralize odors. Birds all looked extremely unhealthy. They are picking their feathers off. I’m not sure how many birds are allowed in one cage but this looked like way too many to me. So many that several were picking at each other.
Heather Marie: Tons of pets! And you can interact with/ and hold all of them! From spiders, lizards and snakes to rabbits, cats and dogs. There's also hamsters and tons of birds! Staff are very friendly!

What they want me to do; take out a second mortgage on my house so I can buy a puppy .

Kylee Hannahs: I am a regular customer here buying items for my fur babies. Today I went in and was interesting in a puppy. I waited for 25 minutes patiently. Several employees walked past not greeting any customers. Finally after asking an employee to see a dog and expressing interest, the employee told me someone else is buying a dog and she can only help them right now. She said all other employees are busy. Staff is consistently rude and I will do my business elsewhere.

Amanda P: Visited the store earlier today and went over to look at the Sugar Gliders. While over there noticed that one of the gliders had his nail caught in his hammock and wasn't able to get himself unstuck. I alerted a staff member who walked over had no clue what a sugar glider even was and was freaked out. She then went to get someone else who walked over saw him stuck said "oh he does this alot" and proceed to open the cage rattle his hammock causing the glider to make sounds of distress and then walked away not freeing his nail and left him stuck. A word of advice from someone who has owned gliders and worked in a pet store. 1. Train your employees someone shouldn't be unaware or afraid of an animal in your store. 2. If they keep getting stuck don't you think you would A. Clip their nails B. Take out the hammock or C. Get them a wheel which they should have already had to trim their nails. Please be better and take care of your animals.

Allen McDonald: 2 stars because while I did get 3 beautiful budgies from this location 2 on a previous day and 1 new feather friend yesterday. I left ANGRY. The staff are the least helpful people. And I am more than surprised that my bird didn't have a heart attack on the drive home. Love how there is a caution sign that reads "parakeets scare easily" but when a staff member goes to retrieve one they handle it like a piece of garbage. The girl pulls the wrong one so she just turns the box over and smacks the top while the poor thing flops out and struggles to regain focus. When she gets ours out she almost breaks it's neck stuffing it into the box. Beware the pets purchased here. They're not treated to well. The only reason I will buy another pet from here would be as a rescue mission.i understand being in the pet business but doesn't give you a right to treat an animal unfair just because you can. I asked if they had a “guarantee” for their fish before I had left in case they were to die and the person on the register told me no. Pricing that high will deter people from buying & that’s why they will continue to be in the “system”.

He showed me the exact materials I would need and what do to with them. Along with giving me great descriptions of both my 2 frogs and my 1 fish my boyfriend and I purchased. I will definitely return for anything else I may need in the future!!

Taylor Sheppard: Where do I even start?? This is the best Petco I have ever been to. I live in Cincinnati and come to visit friends in Indy regularly. When they set up tanks we always come to this Petco and Franklin and all the other partners are absolutely the most kind and helpful folks. Franklin went so far as to help me save SO MUCH MONEY with PetCo Vital Care. I signed up for fish and cats and have saved so much money in a month that it has paid for my membership for the year. I absolutely recommend this Petco, not just for price and selection, but for the care and consideration of the employees and management. They truly care about their customers and pets!!

Ashley Wilcoxen: We don't live in the area and came to this PetCo location twice in 3 days and while we stayed on that side of town. First visit was an hour before closing with myself and two children so unfamiliar with the store I implored of the whereabouts of the items I needed and if I got a string of words as an answer instead of 1--2 and even none, it was to tell me that she didn't know if they carried this or wave her hand over the back left half on the large store to pinpoint where I should find it, if they have it. Granted, I was not happy to be there with tired kids, but it cost nothing to be kind or courteous, which is exactly how the cashier from our second trip treated us and even went above and beyond. She was just extremely helpful, super pleasant, and even engaged with our youngest who loves to check out every single dog toy more than the dog even does and even though dad was there with me this time and I had backup, how she was with our family made the visit easier and definitely enjoyable. I didn't catch her name, but she was younger (early-mid 20's?), long brunette hair pulled up, and taller (5'10-6'). This review may have lost a star due to the first visit, but it would've had 1 if it hadn't been for the second visit, I did a review here in hopes that management can easily identify the lovely employee, that's why I didn't offer details about the first cashiers physical attributes, it is not my wish to judge or shame anyone, but telling of the experience gives more context to why the young lady made such an impression. I hope she gets the kudos she definitely deserves!

Majorly overpriced on everything I looked at, half-emptied pallets all over the main walkways of the store, the grooming department looked as though it had been deserted for years (as did an entire front corner of the store near grooming...there was a TON of clearance, everywhere, but there were bins of randomness in this corner, and the clearance prices didn't seem very clearanced...).The store was generally a mess and needs a thorough cleaning. I think there was a manager flitting around who was in no sort of uniform...she had on something that said Petco...a name tag, maybe?...and she was barking orders at the checker.Honestly, my visit was because I happened to have a bit of time and wanted to look at some items for our newly adopted dog. Won't be back soon.
Brookelynn Rigsby: We rushed to the store before their posted hours, drove out of our way, just for them to close an hour earlier than posted. absolutely ridiculous that it wasn’t posted anywhere. we watched 4 other people try to go in as well. definitely makes it hard to care for our pets when we think we have a whole extra hour to get their food.

Stephen Tharp: Ridiculous that you go through and purchase items for your pet and then they first of all don’t help you at all or even offer while you’re in the store and second they want to charge you for the bag they want to put the items you just purchased in. I didn’t realize they were trying to be like Aldi.

Of course, dad wanted to make her happy and that meant finding her a new friend.We are so happy to have come across Bailey. They were extremely helpful in helping us. Not only were they helpful in assisting us with picking out the newest members (yes members, guinea pigs are herd animals, so we needed to pick two out) of our family, picking out the items they'd need at home so they would be happy and healthy, but they were also very knowledgeable about the guinea pigs. They were very sweet and patient with mine and my husband's various questions and did not hesitate to take time from stocking items to help us pick out all we needed and explain the care process for the piggies.If you visit this location, I hope Bailey is there to assist you! They definitely made this trip/purchase easy!

They had a variety of accessories including clothes, games, treats, collars, and food. The desserts had me interested to a point that I asked the employees if they were safe for human consumption; they indicated they were. All employees and customers were very respectful and considerate. Anyways, we did buy a bag of dog treats that were well received by the dog (eventually).

K C: Before they stopped letting you play with pets, one of the staff gave my seat to a white couple even though me and my mom who wanted to see a kitten said that we wanted to sit in the only seat that was available. I waited 15 minutes for that seat and the lady gave it to those who came way after us. I tried to tell the women in charge, but they just brushed me aside like it didn't happen.

Reagan: I went here with my boyfriend the other day and had an awful experience. I am about to be 17 and he is 18. The store was completely empty except for us. We were looking at the puppies as an employee watched and wandered near us. We asked the employee to see a puppy and he asked if either of us was 18. I said that my boyfriend was and he asked for ID, which we handed over and he approved. Then he said that my boyfriend could see the puppy but I was not allowed to. I could watch, apparently. What?? I have been here before with my grandma and mom and they have never once told me that I’m not allowed to go in the pen. The employee appeared smug when he said I would not be able to go in. According to the website, there is no policy against me being in there due to the fact that I was with someone who is 18. I was incredibly upset and I will not be returning.

But I’ve witness other dogs barking at dogs & they laugh it off. One worker allowed a man to yell at me because he was washing his dog. & I was trying to use the other bath for mine. I then was told to get on the list because no one was allowed in while he was bathing his dogs. That’s fine, I went up front put my name on the list. I had one guy in front of me, I saw him leave then the yelling customer leave. When I go back in they where walking a lady back to the dog wash so she can wash her dogs🤦🏾♀️. 🤷🏾♀️ not sure what the problem was I told them I was next in line & the lady fro. The register who saw me come back in came from behind me & said this lady was next in line. I’m sorry I was looking for you. But nobody can outside nor call me with the number I provided. So my kids & I are washing my two dogs. & in comes a lady & her dog😐🙄. Now I’m confused cause I was told I had to wait. Now drying… & in comes another person with there dog. So if question is…. If there a family with 2 or mor dogs are other people allowed in? Very annoyed by this place & begging for my dad to stop spending his money here.
