Conrad Clark: I’ve stayed at the Avanti House twice now. Once at each house. Both of them are very nice. All guests that I have met have been courteous and respectful of the other guests that were staying. I would rather stay here than any hotel in the area. R B: Pretty cozy place! It was an older house so don't expect modernized up to the brim. Bed was comfy, temperature was great even while it snowed. Hot water never runs out it seems. I'll be staying there again in March.

Affordable, close to ND and restaurants, safe, clean - and Cassandra was so kind and accommodating! Booking, paying, and checking in & out crazy easy with easy code to house and key left for our own room with half bath. Beds and pillows great, towels and parking all provided, and nice and warm on cold weekend - they even shoveled early morning after unexpected snow! Thank you, Avanti - hope to be back!

Brian Ott: We were in town to visit the Studebaker National Museum, and other Studebaker sites around South Bend. This place is literally across the street from the Museum, and within walking distance of the Studebaker Mansion (Tippicanoe) and the Studebaker Church St. Paul's Memorial Church. The Avanti house is self contained museum of everything Avanti (Studebaker's most unique car and holder of several land speed records). If you get to meet the owner Don, it is a real treat! He will make the history come alive, and make your visit memorable. Can't say enough good about this place. We had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to staying there again.

Gregory Engels: I booked this place because it showed up on google map search as one of the cheapest options to stay for one night, advertised for 30$. I booked on official site, and was really surprised that in the last step a whooping 26$ had been added, so I was a bit disappointed as I arrived at the hotel. One Cassandra has sent me a series of automated messages, one of the included the door code. But my mood turned completely, as I was inside and found out what I have booked - it is totally worth the money. There a a lot of shared spaces in the house, a whole lot of display cabinets like in a museum, and a really unique atmosphere. There was no desk in the room I booked, so I had to sit down in the shared dining room, and felt like I was at home.The 26$ cleaning fee is certainly exaggerated, given the actual level of cleanliness, but I understand that this makes this place attractive for longer stays.

Immortal Beloved: This is by far the worst and most grotesque motel i ever been. I was just gonna stay here for 6 hrs until my greyhound left. The guy on the phone got me a room and early check in around 12-1pm. I went to the room and it had no lock on the door, bugs everywhere, see so bad, the ac unit was broke and stuck on 78, the bathroom was gross, the bed was broken in half and had zero support. I couldn’t stay here. I immediately went back to get a refund and cancel my stay. It has been a week and they have not refunded me. Save yourself time, a headache , pay an extra $20 and go somewhere else.

After calling corporate office I was given a refund of 1 night ($42) and they had double charged me for $150. Ashleigh Henderson: I mean for the price you can’t beat it. It is a very old motel so we knew what was expected. I have been around the area long enough to know this place has had a few different names and owners. So don’t book this place if your looking for more then a hot shower and a place to sleep for the night. But other then that for the price it doesn’t get any better then this. The front desk was friendly the rooms had hot water and cable. My husband and I were able to just be together have a hot shower drink a little and watch some tv and get a good night sleep till the morning. Food all around stores and gas stations. If that’s the kind of night your having then hey why not.. it’s worth the money you spend. Peace of quite and your safe for the most part police were everywhere

Curtis Neason: I could not imagine how a motel could get fewer than 2 stars, but I soon found out. I was in need of a place to stay with my kids for a busy football weekend, so I confirmed this room almost 4 months in advance. Literally, the Monday before the stay, I received an email that my reservation was canceled. I tried calling customer support, and their automated system simply confirmed what I already knew. It further explained that I could not speak to someone live, but there would be some way to chat which never materialized. I have been traveling extensively for over 30 years, and I have never experienced such poor and shady service. Now, I have no place to stay and may have no way to make our official college tour because of it. Bottom line: even if you are desperate for a place to stay, this place is not worth even taking a chance.
Thad: THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED. The rooms were not cleaned at all. Feces in the toilet and couldn’t even sleep in the bed. Bed bugs everywhere and there were white stains under the sheets. You can infer what that means. Very sketchy people too. TAYLOR ISLEY: If i could select zero stars i would. First of all i got there and they told me my reservation was cancelled due to overbooking but i never received any notification. However, the person at the front desk said they had a room with a full size bed and told me to go look at it and see if it’ll work for us. On the way to the room i noticed there was a car on cinder blocks right in front of the room so that was a red flag. Then when i opened the door the real horror began. As soon as i opened the door it smelt musty and like cigarette smoke. I turned on the light and the first thing i noticed was the amount of cockroach’s crawling all over the walls. There was also ants everywhere. The bathroom floor was one of the grossest things I’ve ever seen and had black mold all over. And the walls had holes all over and wires hanging out. I walked out and refused to even stay at the property. This was by far the grossest place I’ve ever stepped foot in. Do not stay here. Sleep in your car if there’s no other available rooms in the area.

It is worse than a dump and it is in Roseland, Indiana so the campus is five minutes from here!Whoever owns this trash heap clearly does not care about having a reputation. If you want to have a budget motel, that is fine but have some dignity about how you present your business!The fire alarm was removed and wires are sticking out of the wall. (Code enforcement violation!)I closed the door when I walked in. The door has not even been cleaned and looks like someone who played in the mud has come in and out of the door repeatedly. If you have white walls, you need to wash them after every occupant. Seriously wash the walls each time.If they decided to make this place a homeless shelter,I imagine people who are sleeping in the street would likely say "No thanks. I will stay in the gutter here. It seems cleaner."

One lil thin bath towel and for my face it was a little one, thin , ripped and had a stain. So much for a morning shower. The shower curtain was a nasty white one , no longer white.I Didn't know when check out time was couldn't call the front desk because no phone in the room. I had to keep putting the handle back on the inside to open the door. kind of dangerous if it was a fire. No night stand between the beds for things I need at night. Toilet was dirty around bottom. Wobbled, broke off from floor. Over all nightmare. Went to bed and couldn't wait to check out in the morning. I was so disappointed because it was supposed to be a get away
Chris: Booked this hotel 3 month before a concert. Confirmed reservation a month before concert. 2 days before concert they sent an email saying that they canceled my reservation because of unforeseen circumstances. I checked back on their website and they still were booking rooms for the night of my concert. The rate was just 3x higher. They legit canceled my reservation because i was proactive and got a decent rate, and they realized they could make more money canceling my reservation and taking others. This hotel is obviously a dirty cheap hotel, but the way they run business is trash and sketchy too. Don’t book here if you want to actually have a room available for you.

Joe Ziskovsky: I've stayed at youth hostiles that are better kept. The room door barely opened. This is a run down former "Roadway Inn" travel lodge style hotel. The pool is closed and looks like a sewage treatment plant. the room, I swear we had bedbugs; felt little bites all night...must smell in the room and the towels...not sure they were washed in clean water or dirty water. They smelled clean, but they were not *white*.We were between a rock and a hard place on Memorial Day weekend when our original hotel in town oversold...this was the only place with rooms...we might have been better off sleeping in the car.I've stayed in India at this chain...it is not a *hilton* nor a *marriot* nor should one expect that, but even for the OYO brand, this location did them a disservice...and at nearly $100 per night after taxes and fees...yeah...will not be returning...EVER!

E. Marie: This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve stayed in. I’m not one to make complaints but once checking in we went to our room we found brown poop splatters on the wall behind the toilet, a dirty used wash cloth hanging in the shower, the taps looked very dirty like they hadn’t even been wiped and there was literally a booger on the wall.We unfolded the pull out couch and there were candy wrappers in it!!Do not waste your money here, stay at any other hotel!!Even after switching rooms there were the exact same issues with the next room it was unbelievable

Praying family: Left a laptop on the side of the bed called to let them know first thing the guy did at the front desk was act guilty by saying housekeeping would not have it and that a supervisor checks after them key word after them then he said somebody else is in the room and they cant check now. So if all these ppl checked after we left and i left it by the bed and if they changed the bed sheets and wiped down the furniture they would have it. Its best to spend them extra dollars on a hotel cause my laptop is putting me behind not having it. he also said I have to wait til monday. So im going to give them the benefit of a doubt and wait til Monday for them to tell me housekeeping found it.I would like to give an update that I was called by management the same day and was told the laptop was put away in a lock box and staff wasn't aware. I definitely appreciate the honesty cause that is hard to come by.

capps ezekial: Their rooms were decent enough for me to stay but the service was just horrible. The people in there saying curse words around children that aren't theirs. And they did not offer us room service when we walked in or when getting the room. The food they had in the morning was not prepared good they had really good waffles but overall not a good experience.

Stephanie (our host) was attentive to our interests and needs, and made for a very hospitable stay.Perfect and in close walking distance to a lot of South Bend's sites - downtown, the Four Winds ball park, the historical society and Studebaker museum, etc.
Samantha: This house is unbelievably gorgeous and makes you feel like you are transported into a historical fiction novel. I've always adored staying in historic homes, and I will definitely come back here next time I'm in South Bend.
Ann Miller: Innisfree B&B was a wonderful experience. Stephanie was awesome. The historic house was beautiful (loved the front porch and the porch swing) and the home furnishings were truly amazing. She gave us the history of the house and how she and her husband acquired it. (Side note: We really loved the bath towels that were furnished--the best we have ever used--so soft and absorbent we could not believe it). Stephanie was so kind to take the time to look up where she had acquired them so we can purchase for our own use at home. Last, but not least, the breakfast was great--wonderful omelet, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. We would highly recommend this B&B without any reservation and would definitely stay there again should we get to South Bend, Indiana.
Shavonya Wade: Came for a family reunion. Innisfree B&B was gorgeous and the proprietor went above and beyond to make everyone in my family that stayed there feel great. Parents had an en suite while my sister and I had rooms with the shared bath. There were other people staying but we hardly ever saw them and the bathroom was always clean. Breakfast was delicious and were able to accommodate my slight allergies. I can't say enough good things about my stay and hope to one day return.

Chris Telfer: The home is beautiful and welcoming. Every room had so many points of interest and felt very inviting. Stephanie couldn't have been more organized and thoughtful. She greeted us to answer any questions we had and to show us around. The rooms were spacious and so comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding even with one in our party with dietary needs. It was the perfect place to stay and we look forward to returning.

Deborah Woodruff: Perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway. We had three adults and two teens, and everyone had their own bed with room for more. The house is very clean, well maintained, and has all the supplies you might need during your stay. We had the pleasure of meeting Wendy, the owner, and she gave us the behind the scenes tour of the barn and property. Everything about this weekend was perfect, and we will definitely be back!

Kellie Neal: We had a group of 5 women traveling from Western KY to the farmhouse. It was like walking into my grandmas house...A nostalgic step back into time. This cozy little place is perfect for friends to hang out or a family gathering. Wendy was an excellent hostess and even stopped in to play some ridiculously fun games one evening! Everything from pizza pans to wine glasses to personal items were furnished for your use. The beds were cozy and clean. Antique shopping was great!! We definitely will be back to visit Wendy soon! Probably with a little larger group next time so we may have to book 2 houses!

TeJae Jackson: The hotel is gorgeous and had a whole room set aside for keeping rambunctious hockey playing kids entertained because "we know they have lots of energy to burn." This is a first for a hotel to plan for and accommodate hockey kiddos like this in 9 years of traveling for hockey with my 3 children. It made us feel welcome instead of dreaded, which is HUGE. When booking for hockey tournaments you almost never have an option on where to stay, and to know many hotels don't actually want your hockey players there just makes the whole experience feel icky, like you're walking on eggshells. This was refreshing and wholly surprising. The rooms are beautiful and spacious - very comfortable.

No complaints at all other than some of the sports (hockey) "inconsiderate parents" and their rude unruly kids. This is not a play ground. Its a nice establishment. I truly appreciate a clean, nice hotels, with a great staff and good food. Also I love kids. Kids will be kids, but the parents can do better.

Marky: Very nice staff. Professional and efficient! The rooms are spacious and clean. I chose this motel bc their website indicated there was a steam room and sauna and I called to verify they were working. It turns out there’s no steam room and the sauna was barely warm and certainly not hot. I paid a premium to stay there for those amenities so I was disappointed.
