Vivian Franklin: I was supposed to get a wheelchair accessible room and I didn't get one. But all the staff here have tried to make me feel like I'm family. Ashley is a good person along with Carla, Jeff, and especially Greg. He is the most amazing person I've ever met. Thank you to all of the staff here for making me feel like I'm home.Rooms: I think that they need to have rooms for extra large wheelchairs and make them accessible to people my size.Walkability: I love that there are fast food and liquor store and gas stations near by. I can wheel myself around to get beer wine and cigarettes and food. Great location

Amber Searcy: The staff was nice. The location was clean, and so was the room. Our biggest problem was that the bed was small. It only had 1 pillow per person, and it felt like we were sleeping on concrete. It only had a thin blanket to cover up with, and the telephone didn't work at all.

Kerrin Hansen: There are many things I can say about this hotel first Ashley at the front desk has helped me out so many times and didn't bat an eye at to what it was I needed help with. Jeff the acting GM is amazing as well he took has helped me out when in need as well. Miss Carla is a sweet lady that I enjoy having a nice conversation with and she does her job so well. This hotel has helped me and my family out so much that when we go to move out once we find a home is going to be biter sweet because of all the lovely people they have working here. They all deserve a raise for their hard work they do here.

Marcus Yeagley: It was a decent hotel, the bed was comfortable to me. It was a softer mattress. The rooms are very efficient per say, there isn't a lot of extra space in them. The bathroom was comfortable size you weren't hitting your hands on the ceiling changing your shirt and there's plenty of room to do what you need to. The room I rented was a double bed. There was a cool like almost bench seat in the corner with a small table connected and a mini fridge underneath. The table will seat two and the fridge doesn't interfere with leg room. The room contained plenty of outlets and some had USB ports in them, there was an end table or nightstand whichever you prefer to say for both beds which also have their own light above them. One thing which was odd was you had to insert your key into a slot on the wall to have access to the lights in your room, I was provided an extra key which was nice. The doors to get inside and your room have just a fob you tap your key card on to gain access, as opposed to inserting and removing your key card. Also I believe the only amenity provided was soap. Shampoo, a razor and small can of shaving cream and then a toothbrush and toothpaste were available for purchase in the vending machine. I was upset that other guest that had their pets were very lazy about taking them out apparently because there were quite a few piles of dog poop in the rocks that border the building and I also seen multiple puddles of what appeared to be urine on the sidewalk just outside the back door. That is again because of lazy pet owners not the hotel.Walkability: Notre Dame is closely located also their is a taco bell across the street and a dairy queen right next door. There is also a bar Cheers that serves food and I believe has a pizza place attached within a couple blocks of the hotel.Food & drinks: The hotel had a couple vending machines. They served coffee from 5am until 10am that was the breakfast.

Ashleigh Henderson: I mean for the price you can’t beat it. It is a very old motel so we knew what was expected. I have been around the area long enough to know this place has had a few different names and owners. So don’t book this place if your looking for more then a hot shower and a place to sleep for the night. But other then that for the price it doesn’t get any better then this. The front desk was friendly the rooms had hot water and cable. My husband and I were able to just be together have a hot shower drink a little and watch some tv and get a good night sleep till the morning. Food all around stores and gas stations. If that’s the kind of night your having then hey why not.. it’s worth the money you spend. Peace of quite and your safe for the most part police were everywhere

Curtis Neason: I could not imagine how a motel could get fewer than 2 stars, but I soon found out. I was in need of a place to stay with my kids for a busy football weekend, so I confirmed this room almost 4 months in advance. Literally, the Monday before the stay, I received an email that my reservation was canceled. I tried calling customer support, and their automated system simply confirmed what I already knew. It further explained that I could not speak to someone live, but there would be some way to chat which never materialized. I have been traveling extensively for over 30 years, and I have never experienced such poor and shady service. Now, I have no place to stay and may have no way to make our official college tour because of it. Bottom line: even if you are desperate for a place to stay, this place is not worth even taking a chance.

Thad: THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED. The rooms were not cleaned at all. Feces in the toilet and couldn’t even sleep in the bed. Bed bugs everywhere and there were white stains under the sheets. You can infer what that means. Very sketchy people too. TAYLOR ISLEY: If i could select zero stars i would. First of all i got there and they told me my reservation was cancelled due to overbooking but i never received any notification. However, the person at the front desk said they had a room with a full size bed and told me to go look at it and see if it’ll work for us. On the way to the room i noticed there was a car on cinder blocks right in front of the room so that was a red flag. Then when i opened the door the real horror began. As soon as i opened the door it smelt musty and like cigarette smoke. I turned on the light and the first thing i noticed was the amount of cockroach’s crawling all over the walls. There was also ants everywhere. The bathroom floor was one of the grossest things I’ve ever seen and had black mold all over. And the walls had holes all over and wires hanging out. I walked out and refused to even stay at the property. This was by far the grossest place I’ve ever stepped foot in. Do not stay here. Sleep in your car if there’s no other available rooms in the area.

One lil thin bath towel and for my face it was a little one, thin , ripped and had a stain. So much for a morning shower. The shower curtain was a nasty white one , no longer white.I Didn't know when check out time was couldn't call the front desk because no phone in the room. I had to keep putting the handle back on the inside to open the door. kind of dangerous if it was a fire. No night stand between the beds for things I need at night. Toilet was dirty around bottom. Wobbled, broke off from floor. Over all nightmare. Went to bed and couldn't wait to check out in the morning. I was so disappointed because it was supposed to be a get away

Chris: Booked this hotel 3 month before a concert. Confirmed reservation a month before concert. 2 days before concert they sent an email saying that they canceled my reservation because of unforeseen circumstances. I checked back on their website and they still were booking rooms for the night of my concert. The rate was just 3x higher. They legit canceled my reservation because i was proactive and got a decent rate, and they realized they could make more money canceling my reservation and taking others. This hotel is obviously a dirty cheap hotel, but the way they run business is trash and sketchy too. Don’t book here if you want to actually have a room available for you.

The pool is closed and looks like a sewage treatment plant. the room, I swear we had bedbugs; felt little bites all night...must smell in the room and the towels...not sure they were washed in clean water or dirty water. Tom Jones: Front desk has very nice workers. Place is pretty much a dump. It's being renovated and shouldn't be open. Dusty and a mess. Rooms that are open are worn and dated. Bathrooms need to be completely refurbished. This type of a place used to cost $20 per night. Paying over $100 for this is not a good value. South Bend hotel options are pathetic.

Karlie Ulvila: We went for the Billy Joel concert at Notre Dame Stadium. It was a last minute decision to get a hotel room and most in the area were sold out. This place stood out because the reviews all mentioned how clean it was. And they weren't wrong! The the rooms were basic and the decor was a bit outdated, but I found this hotel to be cleaner with much more friendly staff than most hotels that I typically stay at. Price was a bit high, but well below the average of what hotels in the area were going for that night.

Matthew Furgison: WARNING TO ALL:Worst place ever to stay. Do not stay here. Pay for a better place. We had two separate rooms. First the TV's didn't work then they only had like four channels. Room 205s toilet seat wasnt even attached and remote didn't work with or without new batteries. Then after ND game we come back and card wouldn't work. Front desk man wouldn't let me in so I had to call the cops. As soon as cops came they let me in real quick. Cops said they been there 1000 times. Then as we were leaving another rooms card wouldn't work. I think they running criminal activity or scamming people. I'm pressing charges and taking them to court for a refund. Hopefully this place gets shutdown and the owners go to jail. There are also other things like being a little dirty, shower curtain ripped, and bad smells. You've been warned! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Web Luke (WebLuke): For a mid-to-budget hotel basically at the airport, it was great. The room was clean and stocked. The staff was nice. This made catching my early work trip flight easy. Breakfast starts at 6:30 and I had to be at the airport already so I missed trying it. It looked like a few kids were enjoying the pool when I walked by after dinner.Rooms: The standard double queen room was clean and comfortable.Walkability: The airport is about a city block's length of walking distance. There is no other amenities net by. The hotel does have a small shop.

Vaidehi Phase: Nice experience with check-in and check out. The room was perfectly clean. Towels were clean and neatly organized. Linen Bedsheets was very clean, like a new and super comfortable bed. Warm water in a pool that was relaxing after a long day of work. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.Walkability: Walkable distance from SBN International Airpor, which is a plus point when you are on your way back to home and have an early morning flight with a hectic schedule plan.

Krystle Webb (Krystyle): I arrived at around 12:30am and I was given my room, and upon checking the bed and sheets noticed drops of blood on the sheets, informed front desk about the issue and was given another room. The 2nd room I checked the sheets and there were urine stains on one of the beds sheets and what looked like feces and boot prints on the other bed, once I informed the front desk she went upstairs to look and came back and stated " I know the sheets and comforters are stained but I assure you they are clean. " I informed her that its not clean and asked for someone to change the bedding she refused and canceled my reservation and stated the manager would call my company about a refund. I was left at 1am in the morning trying to find another hotel and secure an Uber to said hotel in a state I have never been in. Thankfully Holiday Inn Express had an opening and they have been amazing. I normally only go to LA Quintas in my home state which is Minnesota and have NEVER had a bad thing to say about my stay, but this LA Quinta was the absolute worst hotel ever, stay clear and don't waste your time or money.

Juan Arreaza: Stayed here last night—I would not do so again. Front desk staff were polite and nice(both shifts) but unfortunately the water heater was down and it was not (1) disclosed to me at the time of check-in (9pm; I called front desk an hour or so later) and (2) possible to determine when it would be repaired the next day. An early morning cold shower in the winter is not ideal. Close to airport.

John Thompson: AC leaked and the whole room smelled like mold. No hot water in the morning. Towels had brown stains on them. It is absolutely ridiculous what one has to put up with to find a hotel that accepts pets for less than $100 a night. Only positive was friendly staff and a working waffle maker, pan cake maker was out of order lol.

Amber Purcell: The concierge tried his absolute best to accommodate our needs and issues. He alone is the only reason I’m giving a 2 star review. The hotel room itself wasn’t cleaned well at all. We found old food, bottle caps, the bedding was stained, and even someone else’s open medication was left on the floor. There was a mold ring in the toilet and a bent nail sticking up on the floor as soon as you entered the room. The thermostat and refrigerator weren’t working in our room upon arrival. Turns out our room had a bad receptacle. So, after moving it to a different receptacle the refrigerator did work. After resetting our thermostat multiple times it finally decided to work as well. The pool was extremely smaller than what the website leads you to believe which indirectly, in my opinion, made it unsafe for little kids and weak swimmers. As a person who’s done their fair share of traveling this was one of the roughest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Someone please give that concierge a raise and a good reference for a place with better employment opportunities.

nekole pate: I did not get the room that I booked. Once I brought our stuff in the room I finally looked at my reservation and the pictures online to makes sure I did not book the wrong room. I was told that I had ten minutes to notify them that it was the wrong room. I proceeded to call Wyndham to complain and was about to be upgraded for an additional $20 to the room that I actually booked but since we had our stuff in here and sat on the bed we could not upgrade any more since we had been in the room for about forty minutes. Did I mention we didn't even have linens to the pull out couch either.. I am so disappointed in the location and company. They could of moved us to another room. The actual room I booked online with no extra charges. But no!! I am stuck in this room that I did not reserve. I bartend at at hotel on the weekends and they would of never treated their guests like this. The company I work for is for the guests 💯. Unfortunately my company I work for has no hotels up in South Bend.

Summer Morris: It is a shame that there are such negative reviews about this place, I'm just going to list off a few things my family and myself liked about our stay...-due to negative reviews we asked to see a room before we payed for one and the man was so kind and genuine about it, infact letting us see 2 rooms-everywhere is CLEAN, we didn't even see dust in places you exspected to see dust-all staff was kind twards all customers and was enjoying eachothers company at work-breakfast was a good selection (even had waffles with toppings to add in the mixture)-large fitness room, good pool area, had a buisness center to do work if needed, good sized rooms, lobby was nice-rooms block out noise and stay warm-good price-beds aren't hard, wake up well restedThis is getting long but we really didn't have any issues with our stay.Rooms: Warm, good sized, quietNearby activities: It's right near town snd theres a buttload of things to do in South Bend

Jennifer Penrod: One of my family members booked a room here for his sons birthday. He planned to let kids swim and do food and presents in the room. He told the clerk when he booked over the phone that it was for this specific reason. When he went to check in they told us we needed to pay $10 per child that was attending and would be swimming. Never in my life have I had a hotel charge for kids to swim. We voiced our dissatisfaction and were met with no empathy or leeway from the front desk. The pool was absolutely disgusting and cloudy. The front desk wouldn't give us more than 1 pool towel per kid and even went as far as telling us to just use the room towels. How would they dry off from a shower if they used to room towels and wouldn't give any extra? I would highly recommend never going to this location. I would rather sleep in my car on the side of the highway. The sheets were stained and the headboards were oily. They also own the hotel in front which is a sleep inn. Probably wouldn't stay there either. Also, after paying cash for kids to swim, they charged the room credit card for the kids. So they obviously don't know what they're doing and have horrible customer service.

Mariah Murray: My insurance booked us a room due to our furnace going out in a snow storm. When I arrived the lady that told me her name was Betty was being very rude to two other guests that were before me in line. When I approached the counter, I told her I have a reservation, but couldn’t even give her the reservation number before she screamed at me no you don’t. I was taken aback and tried to explain to her and show her the email from my company that I do in fact have a reservation. After this she refused to check me in and then stated my company would need to call her to book a room. So while I was on the phone with my company I asked Betty for the number to call her. She stated you know I need to call my boss because I don’t think I want to book you guys in. She then came back and stated that she could not take payment over the phone per her boss. My insurance people were very confused because they have a contract with this hotel. Long story short my house will not be ready and I’m currently in my car in the snow looking for a place to stay. I will never do business here again, and neither will my insurance.

George Koppers: Pool still broak dirty rooms , it's becoming the normal with the private owned quality inns. I do a lot of traveling and the comfort inns and quality inns are becoming nasty hotels. The people buying these properties are scrimping on amenities and are not repairing or thoroughly cleaning the rooms . Breakfasts have become gross also.

Ginna (ginnamwal): I don't recommend this place at all! Even though the rooms were clean and the breakfast offered was good. The pool was closed for renovations, guest laundry didn't work. It was offered for me to use the guest laundry at their other property. However, the staff at the other property was not happy about that. They were rude and we found out the hard way it didn't work. Our clothes never dried. The absolute worst part, is the guest pin pad was BEHIND the desk. The desk clerk took my card, and then to my dismay signed the pin pad on my behalf. When I said something it didn't phase him at all. When I insisted and pressed for both a receipt showing proof of payment for the room and the $20 pet fee ( very reasonable no problem with that at all ) The desk clerk, stated "I will just charge your card and you can get a receipt in the morning". When I said this was unacceptable and I was uncomfortable with that and I wanted one now. He repeated the same thing. Tired from my drive, I nervously just walked away. When, I came back in from unloading my car, the desk clerk had the receipt for the pet fee charge. When I went to the desk in the am for a late check out they happily allowed us to check out at 12. When I went to check out and provide my Choice Privilege number I was told to call Choice they could not do it. When I asked for a receipt of check out. I noticed none of my information was listed on the reservation. My name was wrong, no address information just a generic N/A and South Bend In as my address. This alerted me, I was informed they couldn't change it, and I had to call Choice. The desk clerk had taken my ID and Card the night before and was typing things into the system with them. But no information was in there. This alerted me majorly. When I phoned Choice they didn't seem to be alerted either. This was a MAJOR issue for me. Choice and this property dropped the ball, by encouraging their desk staff to illegally sign my signature into the pin pad. The guest pin pads are for the guests to use to sign their own name! I filed a formal complaint with Choice the same day I checked out 12/28 and I have yet to hear back from the property. I am watching my card closely.

DeKiffany Warren: My stay was good however if I can figure out how to post a picture of the breakfast, you’d be highly disappointed as I was. The eggs for the 2 days I stayed were so hard, overcooked and not for human consumption. Definitely should be more mindful when feeding guest. I’m sure they wouldn’t eat that mess either. They were better off now serving hot food if they were going to serve junk.

Eric Markovich: I am not sure why the negative reviews so I am posting on my own experience. This establishment was cleaner than some I’ve stayed in. We stayed here to attend a ND game. It was just a15 minute drive to the Campus/Stadium. Very acceptable for me. I would stay here again. Beds were okay but some place to sleep as we spent most of our time on campus. I would recommend this place to anyone

Kevin Downs: I know this is a 2 star hotel, but it definitely wasn’t “quality.” Everything was outdated, pool closed, the breakfast was terrible, and the entire place smelled like a foot. Every hotel has some sketchy people, but this hotel seemed to attract it. I gave it 2 stars because I managed to survive my stay there. There are other 2 star hotels nearby doing it better.

Don Won: Unfortunately had to stay close to Memorial Hospital, but stoked this place was available. Breakfast was from 6:30AM-9:30AM, not a huge window, but free none the less. Free WiFi. The Mirror in the bathroom allowed me to watch myself pee, so I can check that off the bucket list I guess. 🤣 The beds however provided the best sleep I've had in a while. They had a fantastic pillow selection.

Laura L: I should have read reviews before booking. We literally stayed less than an hour, just while we looked for another hotel. First, as soon as you exit the elevator on the 2nd floor, it reeked of marijuana smell. The rooms were filthy; the carpet was stained, the bed frames had what seemed like blood stains, the chair was stained to the fullest and one of the beds had hair on it. I wouldn't stay here even if they paid me!!
